Screencap from a scene in X-Men First Class (but flipped upside-down bc they were in the middle of an Obi-Wan level happy landing lol):
Nabbed it because I love how Erik's response to Charles free-floating in the cabin during a plane crash was to just throw himself down on top of Charles and magnet himself to the plane it's so CUTE so PROTECTIVE
but I'm having immense internal screaming about the way Charles has grabbed onto Erik's wrist?!?!?!?! I love them so much?!!?!?

Someone, help me recharge my brain!
Why can't the story just write itself? Why must I always be the one to do it? My brain is wrecking my life trying to write chapter 6 for my fanfiction. FML.
Anyone want to beta read my fanfiction? I need someone to toss ideas at and see which ones stick...
So like, the scene I'm trying to write is Mystique's kidnapping of Senator Kelly... 😂 Just the words are vomit.
Maybe I should try the scene with Rogue and Avalanche in Alberta, Canada. Because, you know I almost forgotten about her...wasn't really thinking...oh yeah ..where is Sabortooth? Wasn't he in the movie?
*brain restarted*
I'm also crossing X-men over with Harry Potter, so there's the entire war with Voldemort about to pop any minute. I've been wracking my brain if I want to follow the Book/Movie route, or go it a completely different way. So far I've been following Deathly Hallows plot points with some minor adjustments.
I think those minor adjustments...need to be more critical. For this to work. That's probably why my brain is at war with itself. Right?
It feels like homework, if I don't let loose the creative flow. Mainly, because it wouldn't be my fanfiction...if I kept going on and on with the plots created by the original creators...So I need to decide...what is my way?
So...Mystique....we need to kidnap Senator Kelly, how would you do it?
Hey Avalanche...why did you get into a bar fight that triggered the X-men alert system? You goof.
Hey Harry, you need to drag some adults into your mission. Stop trying to do it alone...Ron, and Hermione's notes won't get you far as you need to go to defeat He who must not be named!
Hermione, you need to stop Magneto from using that machine on the Senator. You need to find a way to show him it won't work. This is your subconscious...talking. We've lived through the results of the experiment and it didn't turn out well for him.
Hey Voldemort, why don't you stall your taking over Britian, so MACUSA can convince ICW to help mutants? No...damn. I hate you.

I've said it before (to my sis, who agrees with me) and I will say it again (to anyone willing to listen): there's no chemistry between Erik and Raven in First Class. He compliments/comments on her mutation a couple of times during the movie, but he always sounds sort of angry, which is his default except for moments with Charles (and that's a little here or there but it's not the point). It comes off way more as "Erik is pissed that Raven is ashamed of her mutation, because he has very strong feelings about mutants living free" and less as "He thinks she's gorgeous and wants to do her."
Idk, I'm not sure I explained it as eloquently as I could have, but the point is, they have no chemistry in that movie and that moment where she rather presumptuously shows up naked in his bed feels way out of left field.

Why is Magneto so hot in XMen 97. Why did they make he's crowsfeet look like eyeliner. Why does he have magnificent steed hair. Why is his mouth like that. Somebody come fuck this old man.

you know it struck me that post-fates should corrin marry gunter - mostly rev, but a little conquest...
he'd make the power dynamics among the royals real interesting.
he's garon/sumeragi's contemporary. there'd always be a little hidden authoritative power that he'd have that no one in the current generation would just by knowing things in the past, experience/savvy, and automatic deference for elders (lol). conquest implies he keeps a low profile in general (retiring, etc), but then there's other parts of conquest like crowning xander where he's still very much in that liminal zone of real power.
and then revelation especially, he's got his teeth.
oh boy does he have his teeth still from riding the high of immense power through possession and being a hairsbreadth away from killing everyone plus the resentment against royalty nakedly in the open. as the king-consort of valla, he doesn't have to pretend to like everyone, and he wields his power now independently of everyone with the sole exception of corrin (and corrin's got such a soft spot for him that i truly don't see any meaningful friction there; frankly there'd be a huge relief to have that responsibility shared).
