Have a story of a someone who is more like a robot than a man.

Aged 22 Robbie decided to take on the pronouns it/it's as well as it's regular he/him pronouns. This is because Robbie had always felt more guardian than Sheikah/Yiga/whatever-you-want-to-call-it. Since a child it felt like the machines understood it better and vice versa.

He had felt like this since being a young boy. To placate Robbie's thirst on all things guardian related, Master Kohga sent foot-soldiers to steal any books that may in someway be relating to guardians or ancient tech from the best place he knew, the Castle's Forbidden Library. The Forbidden Library contains all the books the king deem dangerous for the Kingdom to comprehend (which is anything he doesn't agree with). Amongst the books the soldiers brought back was a series named 'Guardians: communication and sentience'. It was a series in which Robbie got engrossed and had learnt forwards and backwards in just a year. With this came a fluent understanding of guardians. It found they weren't all that comprehensive, they could string together words without much meaning but they always related to what Robbie had to say, they understood it. And with that he was off. A boy, who turned into a man, who was more like a guardian than any of the above. With the learning of this language, Robbie finally found something he felt comfortable to confide in, to talk to about all the abuse he had harboured.

Fun totally not at all sad to think about headcanon!

What if Robbie and Purah were drafted into becoming royal researchers? They didn't want to, especially as they weren't to keen on the royals, but they couldn't deny as it was literally you're now working here. If you have another job, Quit it.

Maybe Purah wanted to spend what could be the end of the world back with her family. Maybe she wanted to try and convince Impa to come home to Kakariko with her. See their parents and old friends.

Maybe Robbie wanted to explore the world more. Wanted to see the everything there was to offer and study all types of guardians. Observe the sights of the end from afar with a book in hand writing accounts for people in the future to find. Observing history but not becoming it.

But they have no choice. For the kingdom they must fight. Even if they lose and see all people they've fought with die before the malice engulfs where they're stationed, they must keep fighting.

(It's valentine's Day so take a cute extract from the Roblink fic I'm working on!)

“Baby!” Robbie shouted as he approached the bottom of the hill. Link smiled slightly at the word and walked over to their Sheikah.

‘Hey.’ They signed, ‘I just need to sort out Epona – Link signaled to their glistening brown stallion – and then we can get going.’

“All right, let’s get this party STARTED!” Robbie struck his signature pose as he danced alongside Link to the stables counter.

“Good to see you master Robbie.” The man the other side smiled politely.

“You too my good horsey friend.” This nickname made Link grin as they knew exactly why it existed.

‘Hi Walter’ They signed, giving Robbie the reminder that he needed.

Robbie in thanks nudged Link with his hand a little, “Walter, my pal, were just here to dock Links steed.”

Link dealt with the signings of paper and bid their horse farewell, before turning to Robbie with a look of loving determination on their face. It was those looks which made Robbie go soft. He knew Link held their relationship to the same importance that they did their work, but that look was always different. Protecting the princess? That was a job, everyone knew it. This, now? This was a time that Link could relax, and Robbie felt so damn lucky so see it.

‘ready?’ They signed

“Born ready Baby.”
