Just thinking again about how Rachel's parents and friends and lover were killed and how she was given another chance with a new family and a little brother who was also taken from her. How she has a chance to know her AU grandparents and cousins only to watch them all murdered. How often she's been used and betrayed and even put aside even though all she wants is to be a part of a family.
And right when she gets to have her Summers family back, she gets the girl and reconnects with her other family in the Braddocks, only for suddenly the Fall of X to happen. Her mother is dead again, her brother is missing, her father is being tortured, she probably thinks her two best friends and her niece were massacred, and we can only hope that Meggan and Maggie were not on 616 when Xavier's orders went out.
And all of that pain was carried out by a group working with this reality's version of Nimrod.
I can't wait for Dead X-Men. I want to see Rachel out for vengeance.

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
September 29th - Captain Avalon
Born and raised in the small town of Maldon, Essex, Brian Braddock grew up a  shy and studious youth.  He spent most of his time studying and conversing with his older brother, Jaimie, and twin sister, Betsy.
In the wake of the tragic deaths of his parents, Brian accepted a position as a research fellow at the prestigious Darkmoor Labs.  Some time thereafter, the facility was attacked by the super villain known as The Reaver.  Brian attempted to escape on his motorcycle so to alert the authorities.  He was run off the road by The Reaver and crashed into a riverbed.
Near death, Brian was visited by the spirits of the powerful mage, Merlyn, and his daughter, Roma.  These entities offered Brian the opportunity to become their champion, ‘Captain Britain.’  Provided with the powerful Amulet of Right, Brian was instantly healed of his injuries and imbued with awesome new powers.
Brain would later come to learn that these powers are the effect of his becoming a dimensional conduit.  herein, his abilities are powered by inter-dimensional energies which are concentrated around the British Isles of each reality throughout the multiverse.
As Captain Britain, Brian would go on to have countless adventures as the champion of the The United Kingdom and its peoples, as well as the defender of Earth-616 as a member of the multiversal Captain Britain Corps. He would go on to help form the super team, Excalibur, and additionally served as a member of The Avengers, The Champions of Europe and MI-13.  During his adventures, Brian met the Mutant hero Meggan and the two fell in love.  The pair married and have a daughter named Maggie.
Later, following his corruption at the hands of Morgan le Fay, Brian’s sister Betsy took on the mantle of Captain Britain.  Brian recovered from Morgan’s influence but decided that his sister should retain the title of Captain Britain, choosing for himself the new moniker of ‘Captain Avalon’ the defender of the realm of Avalon.
The hero first appeared in Captain Britain Vol 1 1 (1976).

Are you really a family if you haven't tried to kill each other at least once in the last six months?  Or if you have a long lost sibling and/or a clone?
Not according to mutants!
Jamie Braddock’s like: Well at least I have the decency to resurrect my siblings when I murder them, instead of expecting the Five to always do it.
Betsy: ....are you honestly expecting a gold star for what, cleaning up after yourself?
Brian: ....are you honestly surprised that that’s ABSOLUTELY what he’s thinking?
Meggan, picking up her precociously intellectual three year old daughter Maggie and heading for the door: Just FYI Brian, I WILL be reminding you of this moment the next time you ask why I make a face at the thought of visiting your siblings.
Maggie, squirming around in her arms and trying to retain her front row seat to the drama: Mother please let’s stay, I’m writing a dissertation on the correlation between mutant families and Shakespearean histrionics and this is prime research material. How do you expect me to ever one-up Valeria Richards if you keep interrupting my studies!?
Meggan: That’s not actually an aspiration I have for you, sweetheart.
Maggie: Ugh I can’t wait to complain to Luna Maximoff about this, SHE’LL get it.

Oh here's a list of Romani characters in Marvel:
The Top ones are:
Doctor Doom (witch)
Wanda Maximoff (witch)
Pietro Maximoff (not a witch but twin of one)
Billy Kaplan (witch)
Tommy Sheppard (not a witch but son and brother to witches)
Meggan from Excalibur (not exactly a witch but witch adjacent)
Luna Maximoff (not a witch but related to one)
Let's see other Romani of Note:
Natalya Maximoff (witch)
Django Maximoff (witch)
Marya Maximoff (not a witch but related to witches)
Astrid Mordo (witch)
Boris Karela (dude who raised Dr Doom, not a witch)
Cynthia von Doom (witch)
Amanda Sefton (witch)
Kurt Wagner (adopted into a Romani family of witches, not a witch)
Margali Szardos (Kurt's adoptive mother, witch)
Stephan Szardos (not a witch but related to witches)
Lilia Calderu (witch)
Maggie Braddock (daughter of a witch)
Valeria Last Name Unknown (not a witch, nor directly related to one)
Werner von Doom (not a witch but married to one)
So in short pretty much ever Romani character of note in Marvel is a witch, and those who aren't are relatives to those witches; the only exception is Dr Doom's childhood friend Valeria, who is the childhood friend of Dr Doom, a witch
In case you don't know, treating Romani people as witches is a racist stereotype, so this trend is racist

Mystery Monday #8: Sasha's Strength
So, one thing I noticed this week is that, between the baby Kill-a-Pillar and Mother Olm's brain, Sasha has been a bit less brave about things recently. But there's more to it than meets the eye. Today we will dive into why Sasha was always so strong and brave before, and why she seems to have lost that edge.
First, let's analyze Sasha's moments of strength. I've noticed that there always seems to be a reason, so I'll include that too.
We begin in the episode Prison Break when Sasha helps Grime take down the herons. At first she dies it because the heron broke her chain and she had to fight it off to survive. Then she continues fighting after making a deal with Grime for some food and a map. In this case, she was in a life or death situation, and she had to fight to survive.
Next, we'll go to the flashback in Reunion. At the beginning, Sasha acts tough around Maggie so that she will give Anne her snack back. This gives valuable insight into why Sasha can be so strong at times: because she feels the need to defend her friends.
This is made abundantly clear in Toadcatcher, when Grime correctly points out that the reason Sasha throws herself into her training so hard is not because she lost a fight, but because she lost a friend. And it is further backed up when Sasha says that she's not about to lose another.
In The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers, Marcy says that "Sasha was the only one brave enough to never get in the Book of Losers." This is a hard one to figure, but I think it's more her pride and her competitive spirit than anything else. Sasha does NOT like losing; she doesn't seem to take it well in Reunion or True Colors, and she outright states it in Battle of the Bands. And getting her name written in a book called "The Book of Losers"? She would not want that. In fact, now that I'm writing this post, I theorize that Sasha is the one who came up with both the Scare Dare Challenge and the Book of Losers.
Sasha's next episode is Barrel's Warhammer. In this episode Sasha fights a giant narwhal in a life or death situation. But let's look beyond that. She also refuses to leave, even when Percy and Braddock both give the signal that they want out, showing that she has a large amount of pride and determination in this mission. But let's look into it even further. She only goes on the mission because she finds out that Anne and Marcy have been working together without her. And she is driven to continue by this knowledge during the mission, which was mostly pride. Pride gives way to a need for control. So this episode combines all the previous factors.
The flashback from The Third Temple shows how Anne and Marcy met Sasha: when she defended them against bullies. (Sound familiar?) Once inside the temple, she again shows up to defend her friends, this time against a giant worm. Of course she breezes through the first two tests. But then she gets inspiration from Anne to get through the third while her friends are being, quite literally, pinned down. So this episode shows Sasha using her strength to defend her friends. But there were also at least two other reasons: she found out that they could almost go home, AND her other best friend wanted to get into Newtopia and take it over.
In True Colors, Sasha fights Andrias alongside Grime for control of Newtopia. As she says, this is her once again fighting for control. But it's also her fighting for her friend Grime.
Later in True Colors, after finding out that Andrias is actually evil, Sasha's entire tone shifted. No longer did she just want to take control of Newtopia; she had to make sure Andrias didn't win the city back. So she fought Anne again, this time trying not to hurt her but to reason with her. This further shows that while Sasha is tough and will go to great lengths to get what she wants, she also has a good heart and wants to help her friends.
In Turning Point, Sasha manages to rally the citizens of Wartwood to attack Andrias's robots. Then throughout the rest of season 3, she leads the Wartwood Resistance. This is another example of a life or death situation where she had to get up and fight.
Now, let's talk about the two situations I mentioned earlier.
Sasha didn't want to hold the baby Kill-a-Pillar, and neither did anybody else. But 10 minutes later, all the babies had bonded with the Resistance fighters. Obviously it just took some getting used to, just like any pet takes a while to get used to. But the other situation is really noticeable.
Sasha tries to chicken out of going into Mother Olm's brain. But if you notice, she only tries to leave AFTER Anne and the Plantars are already going in. This says a couple things. First, that Sasha knew the situation was not so dangerous that they were going to die without her help. So the danger level was not life or death. Second, that she knew that Anne and the Plantars could handle themselves in dangerous situations without her help. So her friends didn't need her to defend them. And third, that she knew the situation had an unnecessary gross factor (even saying, "It's gross and I don't wanna!") And Anne was the leader of this mission, so it's not like Sasha would have been in control of it. So her pride wasn't even at stake. So all of the factors that previously caused Sasha to be brave, were not there.
So, in conclusion, here is the comprehensive list of reasons why Sasha will perform feats of strength and courage:
Survival
Defending her friends
Her pride and need for control
That's all for this week! Tune in next time on Mystery Monday!
And one more announcement: I had previously stated that Mystery Monday will continue through the end of the series. Now I am changing that. It will continue until the series is over AND I am out of ideas. So if you have any ideas for a future Mystery Monday post, whether it is a post you write yourself, a question you'd like answered, or a topic you'd like me to discuss, feel free to use submissions or asks to send them in. Just make sure you indicate that it is for Mystery Monday.
Thank you! See you next week!

I'm sorry Maggie I don't know who you are but you deserved better than to lose to Charles :(
Well, if anyone could do it, it’d be a Braddock. Would’ve been funny for Xavier to lose to a small child, though.

For the whole history of MEGGAN PUCEANU BRADDOCK, please click here.
← ONCE THERE WAS AN IDEA TO BRING TOGETHER →
Meggan’s been split for her entire life. She’s a mutant, she’s a faerie. She belongs in this world, she doesn’t. For a long time it was something that bothered her, but it doesn’t anymore. Meggan is more than one thing and one place. She’s a mother, a wife, a teammate and a friend. She can exist both in Otherworld and on Krakoa; she doesn’t live on the latter, however, due to Brian not being a mutant. Her life is unconventional, but that’s fine with Meggan. She’s been unconventional since birth and has learned how to make the best of it. Everyone has their stuff, and hers happens to be being different. As long as she’s loved and has people to love, Meggan doesn’t care about that in the slightest.
←  A GROUP OF REMARKABLE PEOPLE TO SEE IF THEY →
✗ BRIAN BRADDOCK (616) and Meggan have created a beautiful family. They both love their daughter, Maggie, wholeheartedly as well as each other. They’re a team both at home and on the field, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t seen hardships. They’ve just learned how to push through them. There was some initial concern about how strong their relationship was and if it was built on attraction alone due to Meggan changing her appearance to match Brian’s ideal of beauty, but time has proven that to be false. They’re the real deal and in it for the long run.
✗ KURT WAGNER (616) became Meggan’s good friend over the years. There were times when there was the possibility of romance between the two, but it never fully panned out. Instead, Kurt remains a familiar face that Meggan knows she can trust. It’s unfortunate that they don’t often see each other anymore, but that’s just how Krakoa is. It’s an Island that’s just big enough to keep people away from one another.
← COULD BECOME SOMETHING MORE  →
✗ THE KNIGHTS OF X → Led by Meggan’s sister-in-law Betsy, the Knights of X have acted as the defenders of Otherworld. Although they were previously called ‘Excalibur’, the mission hasn’t changed much. Being a Knight of X means that Meggan gets to go to Otherworld; while it’s dangerous and away from her daughter, it’s also a place where she can embrace her fae heritage. Going on quests and leaving Maggie is hard. Meggan hates  going but loves what she does. It makes it worth it.
✗ OTHER AFFILIATIONS -- krakoa.
← & IF WE CAN’T SAVE THE WORLD, WE’LL AVENGE IT →
✗ AGE → early 30′s ✗ MULTIVERSE ORIGIN → 616 ✗ SPECIES → mutant / faery ✗ ETHNICITY → british romani ( white presenting ) ✗ SECRET IDENTITY → public ✗ RELATIONSHIP STATUS → married to brian braddock ✗ FACECLAIM → francesca ruscio ✗ AVAILABILITY → open
← FUN FACTS →
originally believed to be a were child
she’s a shifter but her 'true' form is an elfin, blonde and tall
mother to maggie braddock

Note
"The little ankle biter was playing with sticks, so I gave her a proper sword." Maggie was a responsible child, so it was unlikely she would misuse a sharp weapon. "It created rainbows whenever she gave it a swipe, so things got a bit out of hand." No child could resist the creation of rainbows.
...that was strangely wholesome for someone like Jamie Braddock.
"Have you ever wanted to be a father Jamie?"
