Guilt - Spider & Neteyam
Warning: Character death and survivors’s guilt
This is an idea I have in mind for a story I plan to write eventually. This would only serve as one part of it.
I love Spider and Neteyam being Team Older Siblings. That’s kinda where the following idea comes from. You’re welcome to share your thoughts. Enjoy!
The Sully family live hidden within the Amazon rain forest amongst indigenous human tribes in South America.
The RDA is a large global resource organization responsible for the deforestation of the Amazon to gather precious “resources” within the land. However it’s a cover up for something more sinister — the capture of Na’vi Pretenders (natural born Na’vi with Pretender (Cybertronian) mixed DNA and their human allies.
In the center of this war with the RDA is Jake Sully and Neytiri. Jake is a crippled marine who is recruited by the RDA after his brother’s untimely death and is given a second chance at life by becoming an “Avatar pilot” to his brother’s Na’vi Pretender-spliced-with-human-DNA Avatar body. He is tasked with infiltrating the Omaticaya clan and reporting intel so the RDA can take them down all in one fell swoop, led by Colonel Miles Quaritch. Jake gets close with Neytiri, a natural born Na’vi Pretender and she teaches him to see and activate his ability to take on different forms, such as transforming themselves from ten feet metal organic beings to six feet human version of themselves. (This ability helps them blend in with the indigenous tribes, who see them as guardians and blessed beings of Mother Earth, aka Eywa. Although they are of Cybertronian descent, they do not transform into vehicles, only other organics) Jake falls in love with Neytiri and betrays the RDA, the RDA attempts to wipe out Hometree village off the face of the Earth and every living being in its path, including the Tree of Souls. Quaritch betrays the RDA after learning what they had been doing to his unborn son while in the womb of his now deceased lover. Jake and the Omaticaya manage to fight back with his help and the RDA take a step back and leave. Upon Quaritch’s dying breath, he begs Jake and Neytiri to look after his son.
The couple end up adopting baby Spider. Spider is a product of an experiment to combine Na’vi Pretender and human DNA to create natural born human super species. As a side effect, he was born with underdeveloped lungs and can only breathe pure oxygen, rendering him to wear a mask at all times. Out of the many newborns created, he is the only one that ends up surviving after birth. He is the oldest Sully child and son.
Neteyam is born soon after, being close to Spider’s age. They become very close, the babies being over protective of each other and never seen a part from one another.
Kiri, Lo’ak, and Tuk come not long after, and the couple are outnumbered by five children. They’re all trained to be warriors and healers and are aware of their origins and are all loved by Jake and Neytiri. They take extra precaution towards Spider, much to the boy’s annoyance that he can handle himself and his siblings.
Him and Neteyam take turns keeping their siblings out of trouble, although sometimes they contribute too (more so Spider than Neteyam, but Spider’s very good at hiding the evidence 😂). Despite Neteyam being taller than Spider, he enjoys snuggling up against his older sibling and entrusting Spider with his own thoughts and worries. They are each other’s rocks. And Neteyam isn’t afraid to set anyone who sees Spider for anything less than the loving brother that he is ram-rod straight.
Tumblr media
When word gets around that the RDA has returned to the Amazon, Jake and Neytiri get ready to battle them again, but do not want their children involved at all. They decide to send all the children and those unable to fight across the Pacific to the Polynesian islands of Awa’atlu to stay with their Metkayina allies. Spider refuses to go, wanting to stay with his parents but their answer is final. Right before they depart, Neteyam approaches Spider in secret and admits he will be staying behind to help fight the war. Spider is angry at his brother, demanding why he gets to do so. His taller yet younger brother reminds him that as a natural born Na’vi Pretender, his abilities are stronger and can be more useful in battle. Spider, despite some of his enhanced abilities, knows he can’t do the same things as Neteyam but it frustrates him to no end, especially since he’s the one who’s supposed to look after all of his siblings.
Neteyam makes Spider promise him that he’ll look after the others. That causes Spider to ask his baby brother if he knew who he was speaking to teasingly, but they sober up quickly, the gravity of the situation hanging heavily on their shoulders.
Spider then in turn tells Neteyam to look after mom and dad, knowing they were not going to be happy at all that Neteyam stayed behind, but his fighting skills will certainly help them. They share a tight embrace, not wanting to let the other go, and try to hold back the tears as they finally part ways.
Tumblr media
In Awa’atlu the Sully kids and other Omaticaya settle in with the Metkayina and they learn their ways of life and adapt. Over the months of training and guidance under Tonowari, Ronal and their children, they undergo the Metkayina Iknimaya and fully integrate themselves into the clan. Relationships also begin to bloom: Lo’ak and Tsireya, and Spider and Rotxo. Spider and Rotxo’s courtship started off as mere friendship then developed into a deeper romance. They bonded over the love of their younger siblings and family, the love they have of Eywa’s creatures and love for the sea. He reminds him of Neteyam and Spider can’t help but think of his parents and brother back at home, not knowing if they were on their way here or not.
The Metkayina have shown them great hospitality upon accepting their uturu. Rotxo made sure Spider and his family and people were comfortable and attended to their needs. A year into their stay, Spider and Rotxo seal their relationship by mating before Eywa, connecting their queues together (Spider’s a smaller but that doesn’t hinder his ability to connect). They each earn a matching tattoo for their mating and another to mark the start of their new family.
All is well in paradise until Awa’atlu is decimated with missile bombs from approaching RDA ships. Blindsided by the attack, the Metkayina attempt to flee and fight back the attackers that breached their land. In the midst of the chaos, Spider and Rotxo are defending Spider’s siblings when Spider’s suddenly tased from behind and ripped from Rotxo’s grasp, unconscious and bleeding.
He wakes up not in Awa’atlu but somewhere else, gray and metal and confined with no escape. He’s questioned and tortured and beaten, and he doesn’t cooperate. He fights back. But it only worsens when he’s out through a machine that attempts to read his mind and he resists with all his power. He notices the black specs on the machine, and for a fleeting second thought it was dried blood. The days blur themselves mercilessly without pause - wake up, fight, machine, scream, thrown back in cell, sleep, repeat. He doesn’t know how long he’s been there but they move him one day to another cell and finds himself next to another prisoner he’s never seen before — a young girl, probably Lo’ak’s age, in the same condition he was in. She looked dead, unmoving in her slumped place on the floor. But the minute rise and fall of her chest indicates she was breathing and alive — and bleeding all over and in black. His mind clicks with the specks he saw in the machine before and he puts two and two together.
That was her blood. She must have fought too.
He finds out her name is Madi and she had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. She spoke of a world alien to him, and he comes to the conclusion she must be an alien from outer space, given she’d travelled on space ships and had been on other planets. How she ended up here was a total mystery, she didn’t remember herself.
Time passes — how much, they couldn’t keep track of. One time they tried to escape, only to be recaptured and bound. As punishment, Spider is forced to watch their captors tie down and drill into Madi’s bones to extract her marrow, ignoring her screams of pain. They don’t stop until she is in near critical condition and forcibly injects her marrow into him, stating that if she dies, they would at least still have him to work with.
Madi ends up living but isn’t faring well. They begin a new experiment with her, this time using a shard of metal they called an Allspark fragment. Something goes horribly wrong the moment they start. An explosion rocks the facility and unknown to everyone there, that explosion triggered the Autobots’ radar.
The Autobots launch a search and rescue mission to Mount Weather, the explosion leaking dangerous amounts of radiation across the mountain. The nearby towns are all evacuated. They excavate and find Spider and Madi unconscious, barely alive. They’re shocked to find them emitting weak newspark signatures despite the fact that they were humans.
Taken back to Diego Garcia, the pair recover slowly and painfully, hostile to their rescuers at first before slowly learning to trust them enough that they wouldn’t be harmed. Spider calls them demons, much to Madi and the Autobots confusion.
Spider and Madi venture the island after their recovery. Spider recognizes a specific plant that is used in signal fires and with the Autobots’ permission, light one up in hopes of making some type of contact. Unbeknownst to the Autobots and NEST soldiers stationed with them topside, there is movement in the water as shadows travel through the night.
The encounter that occurs between the newly arrived Metkayina Na’vi and the Autobots is tense, like a strung bow about to be shot. None of them attack, the Metayina especially given how tight Will’s grasp on Spider’s arm was, guns pointed at them.
Spider feels something flicker and twist inside him. Scanning the figures he searches, recognizing the two that approach — Kiri and Aonung — and attempts to call out something the Autobots nor NEST soldiers couldn’t understand. Everyone goes into a panic when suddenly he starts seizing and collapses, blacking out.
Spider manages to recover from the episode with the help of Ratchet and Kiri working together to save her brother. When he fully reawakens, he’s greeted by the sight of his sister Kiri and brothers Aonung and Lo’ak. And lastly, he gasps, Rotxo. They’re both speechless, full of tears, their bond broken for so long yet the moment they’re within one another’s presence, Spider feels it snap back into place. Ah, that’s what he felt earlier. He can’t stop crying as Rotxo holds him, gentle yet firm as if afraid he’s disappear.
They take their time healing and recuperating and rejoicing the founding of their brother, thanking Madi and the Autobots by safely harboring him. In the midst of catch up, he notices Kiri is wearing a familiar looking armband — one that Spider had made for Neteyam before they separated and asked if they heard anything from the Omaticaya. He learns that the situation has worsened, their people targeted and their homes destroyed. Word of Neteyam’s fate came with the arrival of Jake and Neytiri to Awa’atlu about a year ago. It was supposed to be Neteyam and Neytiri, but that didn’t go as planned. Neteyam took the shot meant for Jake and died bleeding in his parents arms, wanting to see his brothers and sisters again. They came by ikran, perhaps with a dozen others, a quarter of who they left behind to defend Hometree village.
Spider spent the next few days walking aimlessly on the beach of Diego Garcia while the others made talk for wartime negotiations. His baby brother lay with Eywa, dead. And it was all his fault.
Neteyam had followed Spider’s orders to the letter, like he did with everything in his life. He knew he would because Neteyam didn’t want to let anyone down, especially Spider.
Spider felt a dull ache and numbness in his chest. He couldn’t feel anything, half-alive, and wished he could take his words back, fought harder to stay, to protect his taller yet younger sibling who he confided everything to. His rock.
Spider promised he would protect all his younger siblings. Yet he failed to protect Neteyam.
He failed Neteyam. Tears slipped down his face, pooling at the bottom do his mask.
And he dared to asked Eywa why she took his baby brother away when it should be been him.

It's ok girl, season 7 never happened. Bellamy, Gabriel and Diyoza never died, Madi didn't end up paralysed, Murphy's storyline didn't suck, Sheidheda didn't explode, Gaia wasn't useless, Raven didn't get a disgusting storyline, there were no stupid alien gods, no time travel, no one transcended, Callie didn't make up trig when she was fucking 12, Cadogan was just a long-dead cult leader, Bardo was just another inhabitable planet, everyone is living in peace on Sanctum and they're not even dressed in those hideous Sanctum rags but have nice clothes, yeah that's it

Yeah I’m gonna be that person
Tumblr media
This is not Bellarkes child. This is a grown man who has parents. He doesn’t need a new set just because his parent are dead.
Tumblr media
This is not clexas child. Clarke did not care about aden he was what was best for skaikru. She never spoke to him unless it had to do with her people.
Tumblr media
This was not bellarkes child. This was not clexas child. This is Clarke’s child. Yes lexa spoke to her though the flame but she did so as the commander not as her mother. Bellamy didn’t care about Madi above her being Clarke’s child and even that wasn’t enough to stop him from putting her life in danger.

questions and concerns about  commanders and clans:
if lexa was the first commander to unite and rule the twelve clans,  what was the commander’s role in grounder culture before?  was their rule limited to their clan, its allies, and others who chose to follow them? the wiki says that the commander’s birth clan takes power, but if there is no coalition what exactly do they have power over – and more importantly, where does that information come from?  theory: the commander’s clan, its allies, and religious followers would follow the commander’s rule while enemy clans would reject it... but then:
if the clans were at war,  why did they agree to give their nightbloods to polis instead of training them in their own clans?  why did they decide on the solo combat format instead of a battle royale format like the bunker conclave?  theory: after the commander was seen as a valuable tool, clans started to send their nightbloods to improve their chance at gaining power. maybe it started as a non-partisan religious practice that evolved into a governing position – like if an oracle became king.
was the commander expected to be single because of costia’s death or was it a pre-existing expectation?  theory: it was common advice so that the commander could not be compromised by personal relationships. it helped reduce blackmail and maintain objectivity.
is “the flame deepens what is already there” common knowledge amongst the grounders or is that titus’s insight as a flamekeeper?  theory: common knowledge since the commander’s subjects seem to prefer certain commanders over others.
list of commanders   (based on my main verse)
bekka pramheda (becca the first commander)
heda leksa kom trigedakru (commander lexa of the tree people)
heda ontari kom azgedakru (commander ontari of the ice people)
heda madi kom louwoda kliron kru (commander madi of the shallow valley people)
potential headcanon:  in grounder culture, the commander is, ideally, perceived a separate entity from the nightblood it possessed. example: commander lexa is not the same person as lexa kom trikru. lexa kom trikru was a trikru nightblood raised in polis whereas commander lexa is a god-like entity that transcends clan loyalties. whereas the spirit of the commander is a continuous being. ideally, commander is the same as commander becca but updated to be better suited for the current population (as opposed to the population a hundred years ago). the “update” comes from the knowledge and experience of the commanders before her.
those who do not believe in the sanctity of the blood/the commander may not see the commander as an unbiased individual. these sentiments rise in popularity when there are tensions within the coalition. concerns with this headcanon:
if the clans were not united, was the commander really seen as an unbiased figure? are the nightbloods seen as apolitical, or are they thought to favor their own clan?

These two characters have been living in my head rent free lately and I thought to myself, Spider and Madi would make an epic duo fighting alongside each other and even being friends.
A) Both are orphans of war
B) They both share parent trauma (Spider’s parents died attempting to protect what they thought was humanity’s only way to survive, and Madi’s parents died attempting to keep her safe against the Fleimkepas and other warriors in the last minutes of Praimfaya before the Earth was scorched in fire)
C) Both have grown up in a forest (Spider in Omatikaya territory, and Madi in Shallow Valley)
D) They’re both children turned teens that carry a lot of baggage for such a young age and are very aware of it
E) They both wish to be normal
D) They’re both loyal, stubborn, independent, selfless and loving
F) They’re not afraid to fight back
G) Their genetics makes them different from everyone else (Spider is a human amongst Na’vi, Madi is a natural born Natblida amongst red blooded Grounders)
H) Speak another native language besides English (Spider Na’vi Omatikaya dialect, Madi Trigedasleng)
I) Both are allies to clans related to trees (Spider = Omatikaya living in the forest, Madi = Trikru also living in the forest)
J) Their allies have human enemies (Omatikaya = RDA humans, Trikru = the Mountain Men)
K) They’re both adopted by others in a way without calling them “mom” or “dad” (Spider = Norm and Max, Madi = Clarke)
L) Both have curly hair!
M) They’ve been taken at least once by evil forces (Spider taken by RDA and Recoms, Madi taken over by Sheidheda and The Primes of Sanctum)
N) Both know how to use weapons to defend and attack (Spider = bow and knife, Madi = swords, knives, guns, and traps)
O) Both are surrounded by future tech (Spider = RDA, Madi = Eligius)
P) Both are involved in some type of neural connection (Spider surrounded by Eywa and living creatures using queues, Madi with The Flame mind chip embedded in her skull)
Q) Both we’re tortured via invasive mind surfing devices (Spider by the RDA, Madi by The Disciples)
R) Both like to joke around, have fun, and try not to think about the craziness of the world around them other than the happy memories they can make
S) They look out for kids near their age (Spider with the Sully siblings, and Madi with Luca and the Sanctumite children)
T) They’re both children born into wars they didn’t ask to be a part of, but stay strong for those they care about and make the best of their situations
U) Both wear some type of paint on their bodies (Spider with blue paint, Madi with her own blood)
I have other ideas of them meeting in different scenarios. I’ll share them in separate posts, but let me know what you guys think of the above info! And if you have any scenario ideas you’d like to see these two in?

Sorting Hat Chats: The 100
I’ve been thinking of sorting the characters on this show for a while, but that’s easier said than done because it has a pretty extensive cast LOL. At the end, I decided to limit myself to those characters that made it alive to the final season, and a few cases that only really appeared in it and were key to the plot (although if anyone wants, I’m happy to debate others). I apologize beforehand if I forgot anybody xD. Obviously, spoilers from the show are to be expected.
For those who don’t know: the sortinghatchats method was inspired by Hogwarts houses, but it uses a dual way of sorting characters: primaries, relating to motive (WHY do they do things), and secondaries, referring to methods (HOW do they do things). Instead of the traditional names for the houses, it uses Badger, Bird, Lion, and Snake.
There’s also what’s called models:  primary or secondary sortings other than one’s own, that you’ve taught  yourself or being taught to use to get by when yours fails you. They can  also adopt performances, the ability to appear as another  sorting, but those are self-aware and more about mimicking behavior for  specific circumstances.
Primaries or secondaries can also be Burnt (something has gotten in the way, making you feel you can’t trust them or use them) or Exploded (in the opposite direction, one goes too far with their sorting. I.e.,  an Exploded Lion secondary would throw themselves at anything without  thinking of the consequences, becoming quite self-destructive).
Now, a brief summary of each sorting, for reference:
LION Primary’s sense of morality and ethics comes from inside. Things just feel right or they feel wrong. BIRD Primary gets their morality and ethics from the world outside them. They decide what they think is right. BADGER Primary is focused on the good of the group. Who cares if something is technically “moral” if people are getting hurt? SNAKE Primary is a lot like Badger, but instead of protecting the group, their highest law is the well-being of the individual people they love.
LION Secondary gets their power from being direct, honest, completely themselves. Their “plan” is just keep going until someone stops them. If they see a locked door, they kick it in. BIRD Secondary collects tools and skills. They build things, find things, learn things. If they see a locked door, they go through their box of keys until they find the right one. BADGER Secondary is fair, hardworking, and shows up. They’re good at getting people to trust them, and good at getting people to help them. If they see a locked door, they knock. SNAKE Secondary knows the right mask to wear for each situation. They’re adaptive. They go in the back way. They find the third option. They’re the ones who know how to pick the locks.
CLARKE GRIFFIN
Miss Griffin was an easy one, because I’m very used to her kind: unhealthy Badger primary paired with (in her case, burnt) Snake secondary.
Unhealthy Badgers’ community preocupations devolve into Us vs. Them mentality (rampant nationalism for example), giving them ease when it comes to othering and dehumanizing other groups. S5 showed the most extreme case, as her group had been reduced to one other person with Madi. They’re also extremely controlling, as they always think they Know Better what’s best for everybody, and feel justified about any immoral action they take as they feel it’s what’s right.
Her secondary is burnt, which can make it harder to identify (burnt secondaries all can look like a person is passive or ineffective, if they don’t manage to pick up models. Which Clarke didn’t). But I can’t see any other for her, and she’s pulled a few uber Snake moves here and there, like stealing the bunker or trying to become Commander (but as she’s burnt, not too effectively).
BELLAMY BLAKE
I think Bellamy is a Bird primary, a group that can be a bit hard to identify for me so I do it by process of elimination: I don’t think he’s a Lion, with how much he depends on outside input; he might’ve started with a Snake model for Octavia, but it made him miserable, and in general I don’t think he’s a Loyalist, with how easy is for him to see outside perspectives. Another details is that Birds can be vulnerable to cult mentality which. Welp. And his interest in ancient history and mythology is another trait that could point to it.
For his secondary, I’d pick Badger. He’s at his best when he draws people in through effort, putting the work in, and the methods he uses when he needs to manipulate are very Badger in nature (encouraging others on his behalf, interrogation, etc.).
OCTAVIA BLAKE
The girls is so Double Lion it hurts to look at sometimes lmao. She makes decisions entirely with her gut, and the consequences hit her hard. She’s impulsive and headstrong and unstoppable. I think she slowly burned during her Blodreina arc, because although Lions can be natural and effective leaders (and I think looking at the show’s track record, Octavia has been the most effective and long-term one we’ve seen by far, no matter her critics xD), being forced to go against what they FEEL is right or wrong would gut them, like it did to Octavia during the dark year, hardening her until she crumbled. She didn’t heal until the end, when she stopped the final battle.
Another trait typical of Lion primaries I’ve seen is an tendency to side with (who they perceive as) the underdog (with the dark side of White Saviorism attitudes, ime), even when it’s on the “other” side of a conflict, which can be seen in Octavia’s ease to relate to the grounders.
RAVEN REYES
I think Raven is another Bird primary, like Bellamy, albeit a less malleable one. Part of it is that she has a pretty solid Snake primary model that she used for Finn, and that later gave her some help too. I debated with myself between Snake and Bird for a while, but ultimately I went with Bird. I think the way she appealed to the Judgy Alien Entity in the finale pointed in that direction (we can learn to do better etc.).
She’s, IMO, a Lion secondary through and through, although she sometimes uses a Bird model. I think her secondary burns in the last season when she causes the deaths of the Eligius works, accounting for how meek she starts acting, constantly second-guessing herself.
JOHN MURPHY
This boy is a Snake primary if I ever saw one, with Emori as His Person and the rest of the space fam in his inner circle, but not as much. He was burnt and bitter at the beginning, as can happen to lonely Snakes, often taking refuge in other things to compensate (status, gains, revenge, anything). They’ll choose people above ideals, which can give them a ~carefree vibe when it comes to their morals.
As for his secondary, I’d go with Badger. It’s immature to start with, but as we advance through the series we see him becoming better at it, and he’s really good at getting people on his side, to convince them to do what he wants them to do, like he did with Indra and Pike, like he earned the trust of Sanctum’s citizens, etc.
ECHO KOM AZGEDA
She’s, IMO, another Snake primary, although that part of her rarely got to shine in Azgeda. But we see her being primarily preocupied with Her People, first and foremost. When she’s convinced to let go of her revenge quest for Bellamy, is because Raven put herself in the line of fire, and Echo couldn’t allow that.
She’s also a damn good Bird secondary and strategist, who learns and collects skills, and can work a long scheme like a spy should.
EMORI
Badger primary for my girl. She starts out burnt, due to her society’s and family’s rejection of her, and her primary starts to heal with Murphy and, especially, with the rest of spacekru (see when she tells Murphy she didn’t know she had needed to be part of something bigger like them, but she had). She THRIVES in communities, and she strives to protect everyone around her.
It’s interesting how it pairs with her Snake secondary, which came in handy when it came to con people and taken advantage of any unpredicted opportunity to do so. It gave her a mercenary edge because she needed to protect herself, to think on her feet, but when she’s safe, she prioritices the group and is in “neutral” mode, not feeling the need to put on a face with her closest people.
I think it’s hilarious that she house shares with Clarke, btw xD, because they’re outbringings and experiences show how very different two people of the same sorting can become.
Also, I love mirroring pairings, so I love that hers and Murphy’s sorting are inverted lol (on top of pairings with a Snake primary being really romantic :P).
NATHAN MILLER
I’m devided between Badger or Snake primary, although I’d ultimately go for the first. He, more than anybody, took to Wonkru and the needs that structure provided.
I think he’s a Bird secondary, although he doesn’t get as much focus as others and it doesn’t get their chance to shine.
ERIC JACKSON
I’d go with Double Badger for him: community oriented, natural caretaker. Not bad traits for a doctor slash therapist.
INDRA KOM TRIKRU
I started thinking of her as a possible Lion primary, but lately I’m more inclined towards Snake, with Gaia and Octavia as her people, and a Lion model or performance as a general and leader. And when faced with Sheidheda, she prioritized getting one over on him for her mother, always, even when it could’ve been detrimental.
Her secondary is a more tempered Lion, but still steadfast, tireless.
NIYLAH KOM TRIKRU
I see in her the open-mindedness and free-spiritedness of other Bird primaries, as well as a Badger secondary caretaker tendency (she sees an emotionally scarred girl and she’s THERE smh).
GAIA KOM TRIKRU
I think her flamekeeper trajectory shows Lion primary tendencies; she did what she did despite what her community or her mother might’ve needed or wanted from her, determined that she knew what was right for her. For her secondary I’d go with Lion too, as I feel she’s someone who couldn’t ever pretend to be anything but Herself, keeping to her faith even in the bunker despite possible consequences.
MADI
Sorting someone so young can be difficult, as I always feel we haven’t seen enough and their secondaries tend to be more rash and unformed. But I’ll give it a go.
I’ve seen Lion primary traits in her, that “this is WRONG, it’s just WRONG” feeling, that is what creates her main conflicts with Clarke. She also tends to take big responsibilities over her shoulders because she feels it’s her duty, and doing one’s duty is What’s Right, like taking the Flame or giving herself up to Cadogan.
She’s yet another possible Double Lion, I think, as she’s pathologically incapable of subterfuge and never thinks things ahead xD. It makes sense to me that she’d reflect Octavia, tbh.
CHARMAINE DIYOZA
Yet ANOTHER Lion primary lmao. One that eventually became disilusioned with her own crusade, and that adopted a Snake model with her daughter and Octavia, IMO.
Her secondary, however, is Bird. Look at her little notebook of strategist and thoughs. That’s such a Bird secondary move.
HOPE DIYOZA
Snake primary that very easily grows attached to people, with a very impulsive and immature Lion secondary that’s gotten her into trouble (and her mother killed, with her rash quest for vengeance).
JORDAN GREEN
I’m thinking Bird primary (he gathers outside information and decides, changes his mind when he receives new information without making the fuss other primaries would about being wrong), and maybe Lion secondary for his rashness.
GABRIEL SANTIAGO
Bird primary. These guys can spend their lifetimes figuring out the world, what’s right and what’s wrong, how everything works etc., and Gabriel spent several ones doing just that, so he’s not a hard one.
I think he’s also a Bird secondary, going through several combinations for the spiral, for his early experiments with the minddrives, etc. This is called The Mad Scientist sorting, so you know. Fitting xD
SHEIDHEDA
Frankly, these guy’s primary is everyone’s guess, though I guess Lion is the better fit, if only because the rest sound absurd. And well, Exploded Lion primary sounds about right for him: completely caught up in his Cause TM (his cause being leading the Grounders to a glorious end, I guess).
For his secondary, on instinct, I’d go with Snake. When he was in Russel’s body he didn’t try to play a determined part, he went with the flow and easily maneuvered things on the fly to end up on top.
LEVITT
Snake secondary that was miserable on Bardo’s “no emotional bonds ever” rules. Once he meets Octavia he’s ALL IN with her in a way that’s frankly a bit ridiculous lol, but Snake love is like that.
Just based on how people in Bardo reacted to him, I’m going to say he’s a Badger secondary. Despite everything that should’ve made them look twice at him, they kept trusting him, which makes me think he had a good reputation as a loyal hardworker and was likeable enough that they kept giving him the benefit of the doubt.
BILL CADOGAN
This guy is a Snake primary that REALLY doesn’t want to be a Snake primary, and those guys are always a pain xDD. In the end it’s his family, his daughter especially, that motivates him and he’s fixated on, but that’s not something he can accept in himself, hence his whole “no personal bonds, the collective is what matters” Bardo society with a hardcore Badger performance.
I’d say Bird secondary for him. He planned ahead when he created the bunker, he tried out different plans and combinations with the stone, he crafted the society he thought would be best to past the test from scrach, and he went to cryo to play the long game.
TL;DR
Clarke Griffin = Badger Snake AKA The Politician. Unhealthy primary, burnt secondary.
Bellamy Blake = Bird Badger AKA The Survivor (yes, this is very ironic. I know quite a few dead characters in this house, idk what writers are playing at xD)
Octavia Blake = Double Lion AKA The Revolutionary. Burnt secondary, healed at the end.
Raven Reyes = Bird Lion AKA The Grail Knight. Temporarily burnt secondary.
John Murphy = Snake Badger AKA The Lover. Unburnt primary. Very fitting name for the Romantic Hero of the story lmao.
Echo kom Azgeda = Snake Bird AKA The Mastermind.
Emori = Badger Snake AKA The Politician. Unburnt primary.
Nathan Miller = Badger Bird AKA The King Arthur.
Eric Jackson = Double Badger AKA The Peacemaker.
Indra kom Trikru = Snake Lion AKA The Rebel.
Niylah kom Trikru = Bird Badger AKA The Survivor (not an ironic one!!).
Gaia kom Trikru = Double Lion AKA The Revolutionary.
Madi kom Louwoda Kliron Kru = Double Lion AKA The Revolutionary.
Charmaine Diyoza = Lion Bird AKA The Vigilante.
Hope Diyoza = Snake Lion AKA The Rebel.
Jordan Green = Bird Lion AKA The Grail Knight.
Gabriel Santiago = Double Bird AKA The Mad Scientist.
Sheidheda = Lion Snake AKA The Robin Hood.
Levitt = Snake Lion AKA The Lover (another fitting title!).
Bill Cadogan = Snake Bird AKA The Mastermind.

Madi Griffin // what happened in the six years
Tumblr media
over the six years, madi and clarke's relationship developed into a mother-daughter bond. clarke teaches madi to speak english, drive the rover, she also played games with her and told her stories about her past. the stories were the madi’s favourite, clarke was a good storyteller, it almost made madi feel like they weren’t alone.
Tumblr media
she couldn’t help favouring octavia, (clarke saw that and altered the octavia story’s a little bit,) octavia was hidden from her people just as madi was from hers but none of her story’s ended like that, they ended with octavia being the first arker on the ground in nearly three hundred years, octavia staying with clarke in mount weather and splitting the bunker evenly.
Tumblr media
madi taught clarke everything she didn’t already know about earth, showed her how to spear fish and taught her about every plant they came across. madi had always enjoyed learning about nature herself and found she enjoyed teaching it even more, clarke could tell madi enjoyed teaching her so she’d keep quiet when they came across a plant she already knew; not that madi could tell.
