Got my editor's copies of my book today! Aren't they gorgeous? (Ignore the "not for sale" line through the cover- that goes away during publication- and the shitty quality of my camera!) I'm going through the book to make final edits- it really is looking like this book about a sapphic ex-Chosen One (gotta love an unlikable lady protag) falling for her rival is going to be able to go up for y'all by the end of March.

For some reason the cackling repetition of the little demon's gloating song from Rumpelstiltskin kept ring around in Adam's head over and over again.

'~Today I brew, tomorrow I bake~' but just those words following after each other endlessly in the back of his head. Drakkon was gone. Scorpina was no longer in charge. The Ranger Slayer ascended the throne. The Coinless and the Sentries were trying to find some middle ground to work on for the possibility of peace. Aisha had saved his life from a bunch of zombies and had immediately given back the armor that had been given out to anyone that was willing to fight the Zombie Rita that was floating around. She had gone to find Rocky and a woman named Kat, other Coinless, children no older than sixteen from the Coinless. Young warriors she'd helped raise amongst many and as her own. The Sentries in highest command went to gather their injured and dead, Adam spotting familiar faces that were better than others, more human than some that if he wasn't so afraid he might venture to call friends. Johnson, Winslow, Chen, Mitchell, Myers, Ziktor. Some of the younger Sentries that were still technically not allowed outside of palace grounds had run up to hug him, check him over, give little whispers of happiness at his being alive; bright Cassidy and clever Devin, swift and strong Marah and Kapri, Betty that shouldn't have been anywhere near the action but was still holding a shovel when she'd barrelled into him like a puppy. They are a wide and varied fraternity of people trying to find ground in the world tilted on its axis again, and Adam is glad to see that he hadn't lost anyone that day. Except. -- There is a fair amount of certainty in Adam that if he wasn't so used to those clear eyes, bright as the moon and silver as starlight, they would be downright terrifying when they looked right at you without blinking. Some of the other sentries were not as kind in the truth coming out that many suspected but none had the initiative to confirm. How fortunate that Adam was so used to seeing a pretty face marred in bruises, hair soaked in blood, and armor peeled away to show the body underneath not doing much better. Just more muscle with more defined scars for the rivulets of blood to smear over. Adam slid into the dark of the storage closet nobody really noticed, a halfway off from the laundry run by staff at the palace and sentries alike; the food he'd snuck from the kitchens held aloft in his hand as a peace offering. "I can just hand this over and leave you to your own devices," Adam spoke plainly, voice so low he felt rather a lot like that young teenager that volunteered at pet shelters again; a feral animal picked up by well meaning samaritans and dropped off with people that had a vague knowing of not touching or irritating, but just letting the animal get comfortable in their presence before someone better equipped was called in, "Or you can tell me what hurts, ask me to stay, and I'll do my best to let you know you can trust me not to hurt you." Those eyes didn't look away for a good long moment, wide and wet, all thoughts and instinct--doubtless--at war within him due to the crazy day everyone had experienced. Adam was just a lowly Trunk and his head had been spinning for over an hour as a preview to the headache that was to come. He could not imagine being a Red AND a Coinless revealed for the world to see because Bulkmeier couldn't resist giving Skullovitch a hug--in front of all loyalist Sentries. When he blinked, long and slow, he looked down to the food Adam held between both hands in front of his own belly like something delicate and elusive. Steamed pork buns that had been left in the bamboo baskets in the prep rooms, three of them, still warm in the napkin he'd wrapped them in. Skull set the under-armor he'd been holding off to the side, breathing out as he wiped some blood away from his eyes, listing a little from his seat on the wooden table.

Professor Beauregard, ISWM, and the Crystal

So, space dropped about 3 weeks ago, and everyone probably knows/noticed the crystal on the box in AHWM is the same/similar to the one we get in ISWM. I’m going to build on that.

First things first, time is fucky-wucky in this universe. The only consistent point is that WKM is first, and maybe one ending in AHWM leads to ADWM. Wilford appears as he is in WMLW in ISWM and cross references that make it difficult to make a linear timeline.

I’m not here to do that.

I’m here to talk about Professor B, Ro’s character in Heist.

In Heist, one of the first things that happens before we have to make a choice, is that Mark grabs the box. It instantly splits into three echoes of itself.

That’s when we start making choices, that's when we get pirates and zombies and prison and handsome adventurers.

So we go out guns ablazing, take the car, walk to base, and go to Professor B. She is the only one that seems to be like, hey all this occurring at once is kinda weird. Zombie apocalypses don’t just happen.

The timeline distorts when were with Professor B. We get flashes to the alternate timelines where different things and outcomes occur. We see the map, the prison, the car, the helicopter.

Hell, we get a memory of something that occurs once Professor B fixes the timeline.

We get accused of being the anomaly, when its really the box (or the crystal).

We get the whole map, and it disappears to just this timeline.

We meet shoot back to the beginning, and Mark doesn't remember anything, so hey lets go on that date, and the universe doesn’t reset!

Now In Space, the resets are tied to our deaths. I think Heist might just be another convergence point. We die in Heist, back to the beginning. We survive, well, we live out our lives, reset. Dark even sends us back to that convergence point.

There are three of these points in Space. Us waking up in the cryo chamber, us waking up in cryo with Mark tagging along/post go into the light, and the ending with old Mark. We don’t know we can loop time right away, not until we fair to fix O2, and we realize hey, we can keep resetting. We don’t get to fix it from the outside until we’re with Mark again, because we’ve already died once at that point. The timeline is trying to be stable or the wrap core is trying to fix paradoxes or something like that.

We need to break the crystal. That's our box in this run. That’s how well fix the timeline. Nothing matters as long as we can keep resetting.

Ivan/Riley/Chase playlist!

Here it is: the big guns. The magnum opus of this series. The fic that started it all and is also somehow the one I've most recently updated. The holy grail slow-burn poly-shipping mutual-pining Soulmate AU and the longest fic in this series by a long shot (if only due to the fact that I stopped updating the Ziggy/Scott one, and even that was not a slow burn). I left y'all on tenterhooks for MONTHS as I updated this thing and whenever I want inspiration for writing slow-burns I come back to this fic. It meant so much to get to write asexual Riley and his soulmates' supportive reactions as well as Kaylee's aromantic journey, too!

Also, apparently it's the most kudosed one in the Dino Charge fandom? And the second-most viewed? So thank y'all so much! Once again, I cannot believe that these passion project rarepair fics have spoken so well to the good people of the power rangers fandom. I started this series when I was eighteen (I wrote the vast majority of it at eighteen) and a freshman in college and I got so much joy from writing all of these traumatized idiots sitting within stories that were just begging for a bit of tweaking/exploring. Thank you all so much for coming along this journey with me over the years- it means more than I can say!

"How are you feeling, darling?" Ryan asked, a purr in his voice as he watched his sluggish captive slowly sit up onto the sleek sheets of Ryan's bed.

A soft yawn escaped the man, who covered his mouth, dark purple bruises covering his wrists, but he seemed to not notice. His blue eyes lit up in recognition at the sight of Ryan, but instead of fear, as he'd previously shown, he smiled shyly.

Carter Grayson, voice scratchy from hours of screaming he no longer recalled, answered him saying, "Tired." He reached out and took Ryan's hands, letting the other man pull him shakily to his feet. Carter had to lean heavily onto Ryan. "How about we get you a nice warm bath?" Ryan asked, placing a gentle, testing kiss to the side of Carter's head. His smirk grew into a full blown smile as Carter leaned more into him, enjoying the affection.

"Yes, Sir." Carter responded, grasping onto Ryan tightly for stability. "Thank you, Sir."

"I love you, Carter." Ryan whispered into the matted blond hair.

Slowly, as though sleep talking, Carter replied, "I love you, Sir."

Joel came bounding up next to them, bringing high his Rescue Cutter and slicing Carter's unmorphed shoulder. The green ranger stepped away from him, muttering, "Carter, man, I didn't want to hurt you... snap out of it!"

The wound on the red ranger's shoulder was bleeding , but he stood tall as if the injury had no effect on him. Leveling his gaze on Joel, Carter clenched his fists and ran at him.

Behind them all stood Ryan, suited in his titanium armor, watching the battle with pride. The rangers would be careful not to hurt their poor, defenseless red ranger, but he won't hold back on them. Not when he can't feel a thing anyway. Not even his own emotions.

Everytime he saw you, Luca would get butterflies.

You had only started working at HQ a few weeks prior, and hadn’t even spoke to him, let alone, to his knowledge, looked his way.

The energy you exude made him nervous, he didn’t want to sound like a sputtering puppy, vying for your attention.

He ends up making a huge mistake in telling Street that he likes you.

Street immediately headed over to you, striking up a conversation. Once he got on your hood side, he casually mentioned that his friend needed a date for a barbecue coming up.

You give Street your number, telling him to tel Luca to grow a pair, and talk to you himself. He got a kick out of this, taunting Luca for days.

Every time Luca would think about talking to you, he would lose his momentum.

It eventually became a bet within the team of who would talk to who first: Would Luca gain his nerve, or would you grow impatient?

He would eventually come up and talk to you, offering to take you to coffee, though he looked shaky, and pale as a sheet.

You had to laugh, you didn’t realize the life of the party could be so nervous. Your grant him some mercy, though, by accepting his coffee date.

You would never let him live it down that he was thirty minutes early, while Street and Tan would never let it go that you kept your patience, causing them to lose the bet.
