I'm not making fun of this movie - it's a damn good one and every single scare lands - but I can't get over that the mark that keeps appearing on the floor is a pool of blood from when Kayako bled to death and...yeah, it's a butt print.

I'd say it takes some of the Scary out of everything....but it kinda doesn't

Love cozy mysteries but frustrated with the lack of diversity in them? I sure was when I reached out to my local library and asked a librarian to recommend something more diverse. This was one of their recommendations and it DELIVERS.

I'm not gonna try to list aaallll the races and cultures represented cause there are SO MANY, but I'll say there was a non-binary person easily and naturally referenced with their appropriate pronouns, there's a lesbian MAIN CHARACTER, AND a bisexual who plays a significant role! And it was all so NATURAL. It did not AT ALL feel like "let's just cram in all the diversity we can for the sake of representation" which I myself have probably been guilty of doing. It just felt like "hey, this is the setting - it's a diverse community where this all takes place. No big." The mystery was pretty cool too. I will say: Heed the content warnings at the beginning of the book. I did think that this had slightly less of a "cozy" feel to it, simply because they did a really good job addressing the realities of murder investigations more than cozies usually bother to do. But, while that may detract from the cozy mood, I'm HERE FOR IT. I think that stuff is so interesting.

Od té doby proteklo 1.8litrovým bojlerem a hlavou E61 hodně tiché Dobré vody a počet čtvrtkilových sáčků i „kávových dotankování“ v Pelíšku dosáhl nižších stovek.

Jestliže reflexe úvodního roku přinesla emočně nabité a zhuštěné první dojmy a po dvou letech jsem se soustředil na volbu a čištění mlýnku a ekonomiku provozu, třetí a čtvrté výročí se dočkalo pouhé zmínky v rámci měsíčního souhrnu. Vše totiž běželo jak má a tak jsem se nechtěl opakovat. Jaké jsou ale pocity a zkušenosti po pěti letech?

Zopakuji, že pořízení kávovaru a mlýnku byla ta nejlepší koupě, jakou jsem kdy uskutečnil a i kdybych měl dát kávovar na náročnější generální prohlídku, úvodní investice se mi vrátila nejméně třikrát.

Jediné, co stojí ze servisního hlediska za řeč, je tryska, respektive její prokapávání, které je nutné jednou za čas odborně ošetřit. I po pěti letech kávovar čistím příslušnou chemií, jednou za rok vyměním těsnění v hlavě a jednou za dva roky sprchu a filtr/košík/misku.

Pro běžné šlehání střídám nerezovou a teflonovou 3.5dcl Mottu s kulatým zobáčkem, na XXXL latéčko a svařák mám 5dcl nerez latiéru stejné značky. Na počitadle mlýnku je 12 547 a za půldekádu se velmi lehkce kousl jednou! Povolil jsem kameny a jelo se dál. Jediná miska IMS je stále k mání; ve stavu nová a prakticky nepoužitá.

Co se týče mlýnku, stále se mi nepodařilo sehnat klasický 58mm Macap M4 se zásobníkem, jehož dozér má oproti Mazzeru Mini tři dílčí kroky. A zatím jsem nepodlehl a nekoupil ultimátní mlecí bestii v podobě Macap M7 nebo Fiorenzato F83E/F6/D. Ale uhlíky touhy stále žhnou... A kdybyste věděli o nějakém kusu v zachovalém stavu, dejte mi prosím echo.

V minulém roce jsem lehce polevil v konzumaci a jsou dny (pondělí, čtvrtek a pátek), kdy si dám jen ranní latéčko a jeden shot si vezmu s sebou do školy. Zbylé čtyři dodržuji slastnou rutinu latte, cappuccina a espressa. Už delší dobu jsem doma nepřipravil doppio a raději zůstávám u vyšší gramáže espressa (11 až 12 g). Dvojité kafe udělám u zajímavých či neobvyklých káv, abych ověřil výsledek anebo se pokusil dosáhnout maximum možného.

A ač do sbírky silnostěnného a profesionálního kávového porcelánu s vějčitým dnem přibude jednou za dva nebo tři měsíce další kousek, už pět let zůstávám věrný klasice v podobě ACME a ANCAP na espresso, doppio a cappuccino a žlutý baňáček BUTLERS na latte. Jediný šálek, po kterém toužím, a divím se, že jsem si jej dosud neopatřil, je 200ml cappuccino novozélandského výrobce, se kterým jsem pracoval ve druhé kavárně.

Téma domácí baristiky by možná po delší době zasloužilo samostatný článek. Nejsem si ale jist, zda by to nebyl spíše výčet nejnovějších gadgetů a kompromisních řešení, kterých se chytli tradiční výrobci. I v portfoliu dvou uvedených značek nacházíme mlýnky, jež slibují univerzální nastavení hrubosti a když na nový granulizér otevřeně nadává i takový fanoušek Marzocca, jakým je The Real Sprometheus, o něčem to svědčí.

Podstatné je, že to celé funguje. Espressa tečou ukázková a mléčné nápoje na nich postavené jsou ódou na hebkost a komplexnost. A je jedno, zda je to ve všední den před šestou ráno anebo po sobotním obědě. Čerpadlo funguje, hlava se leskne, mlýnek chroustá a kafíčka jsou tak, jak je mám rád, tedy just right.
