JSA #84 (June, 2006). Cover by George Perez and Tom Smith.
What you won’t realize from this image is that the JSA is not charging at the reader, but The Gentleman Ghost instead. The long-time Hawkman foe was added in on the final cover image.

Biblically Accurate Red Tornado, by which I mean Rannian Accurate Red Tornado
After the destruction of one of Ma's many, many, many Morrow-designed chassis, Adam Strange and Mike Holt took the initiative and contacted Sardath and the Rannian Science Council. Adapting Morrow's pre-existing Tornado Tyrant technology incorporated into the Red Tornado A.I. unit, Ma's core was place into a bespoke adaptive armor far in advance of any Terran tech, immensely increasing Ma's capacity to sponge up damage from any of the League's many foes.
Of course, by this point in her career, Ma had moved away from League duties to a new full-time gig: den mother to the members of Young Justice.

Reading the old Red Tornado comics I love him so much.
For those unaware, Ma Hunkel was a single mom who owned a small grocery shop in Manhattan, and when her daughter and his friend were kidnapped by some gangster's, she was inspired by the Green Lantern of the time to throw together a costume and save them, starting her own career as a mystery man, the Red Tornado. The Red Tornado is consistently referred to as a man, even by Ma Hunkel herself (even though she is controlling of the image of Red Tornado in other ways). This makes her both the first superhoine to be published AND the first gnc superhero. Her stories are often about her economic situation and comedic in tone, such as when her sidekicks force a unscrupulous landlord to live in the conditions he expects others to, causing him to start order repairs for his tenants. She also liked to punch fascists. She's just so cool I love her.
