Things I would’ve liked seeing in the teen wolf movie:
-Laura being the birth mom of Eli & the story of how Derek ended up adopting his nephew
- Scott as a veterinarian following deatons steps but he decided to relinquish his true alpha powers to Derek when he realized he really isn’t cut out to be alpha because he never wanted to be a werewolf but with therapy realized he wouldn’t mind being a beta because it’s much calmer and if he stayed in the area wouldn’t become an omega. Making Scott happier maybe he finds himself a gf/bf
-Alpha Derek encouraging his pack by leading by example became a mechanic and a consultant (also show more mechanic Derek 😭😭)
-Grown fbi emissary stiles with little magics & werewolf strength. Happy & dating Derek with a newly fixed jeep
-Stiles and Lydia reestablishing a good friendship after the break up and the whole thing with the Jeep
- CEO & fashion icon Lydia using banshee powers to find out when corporate Headhonchos die to bet on stocks that will increase pack funds a little but not make it suspicious. still being on top of her game ceo wise excluding her powers
-Seeing more of Lydia’s powers.
-Jackson and Lydia sass offs (but with Margo/Elliot from the magicians dynamics and not whatever they did in the movie)
-Jackson and Ethan wedding👀 or at least cute domestic life
-Liam in meditation classes & a financial analyst, in charge of pack finances (+Liam and Hayden together and maybe have a kid)
-If Liam has a kid Mason to be the godfather
-Peter as a stockbroker so Lydia doesn’t have to dirty her name & maybe some art galleries around the world for when he needs to step away from stocks to not be suspicious.
-Issac happy with a French husband who treats him amazing back in beacon hills & neighbors with Derek & regularly does community bbqs. i’d like to think that Isaac would become an amazing social worker for how badly social workers handled his case.(Maybe a little bit of father figure Chris cuz he took care of him and grieved with him after Allison)
-Chris argent allowed at pack bbqs and functions because hes proved himself over and over and the pack is the only ppl who can also understand the lost of his daughter
-Peter and Chris regularly attend therapy and grief counseling and sometimes together
-Peter and the sheriff do lunch sometimes and we get stories about all the on goings of become hills cuz they like to gossip like old ladies
-Malia back in beacon hills after traveling the world and has become a pilot and constantly brings gifts for the pack ( maybe she introduces 2 poly partners)
-Kira back from the dessert with a mastery of her powers and maybe a journalist now
-Jordan retires as a cop to get his powers under control & becomes a fitness instructor to keep active but have a more chill pace job. I’d like to think that he recommended meditation classes to Liam.
-Erica and Boyd alive well and happy with some kids(let me be delusional)
-The hale house remodeled to fit all the pack when they visit
- I liked John & Mason as sheriff & deputy. ITs Mason following stiles steps in his own way
-Mason get a cute bf
-Deaton left town to go work with his sister but stays as a hale pack ally /mentor of emissary! stiles
-Cora being a cool aunt, ufc fighter 👀
-Discount kira can stay but she’s just introduced as a part of Satomi‘s pack and not as discount Kira and maybe kira occasionally mentors her
-Eli is adorable as is, maybe give him some friends and show his interactions with his pack and how they spoil him to death
-Some low-key Chris, Peter, and Melissa dates
-Give the sheriff a girlfriend
-Show the sheriff being a grandpa
-Derek regularly cooking and bringing lunch to the sheriff for stiles
-Kira and Scott getting back together would’ve been cute
-Would’ve rather Allison stay dead for storyline consistency and the emotional development and growth of all the characters. But if she’s sticking around then I would’ve liked for Scott to fill her in and they be friends. She gets to visit Isaac and we get to see that reunions reaction and they’re both happy for each other. we get to see her and her dad reuniting and him fumbling over explaining his current relationship with Peter & Melissa. And maybe she leaves Beacon Hills with Malia to learn more about herself & the world. And when she’s ready to come back she becomes a self-defense teacher. NO HER AND SCOTT DATING HATED THAT.
-For Malia and Parrish to have not been a thing because why🤢

So, we are all familiar with the most recognized DP Ghost girls. (Not counting half ghosts)
Desiree, Ember McLain, Kitty, Penelope Spectra, And a lot of us agree that Pandora and Princess Dorathea are up there too. Lunch Lady is iconic in her own way. The thing is I have a discussion with someone that I think a character is getting unfairly put to the side, when doing a project as in they rather do duplicates of the characters mentioned above than add the character I think is getting snubbed. So I put it to you the phandom.

today I got a copy of Sonic Youth's Goo (on vinyl (!!) it wasn't even that expensive I love indie record stores), which is a fricken fantastic Sonic Youth album, Kool Thing is just so incredibly badass (though it has a weird video, like music videos are weird but it's unsettling that one). Kim Gordon is, of course, an icon among women musicians, and one of those amazing bass players who just get to slide around up and down strings and play root notes and that's all that's needed for the song and it's so cool and very garage/garbage rock.
Krist Novoselic is another one of those bass players. sort of endearingly useless (near the end of their set at the reading festival he's just walking around the stage with his bass practically at his knees not even playing. also that moment when he threw his bass in the air and then it knocked him out on the way down) - but his shirt in the above photo also introduced me to sonic youth.
i had a brief grunge thing going a few years ago which culminated in me deciding that Hole is far better than Nirvana, and that picture was in the back of a lot of the music magazines I was getting (Uncut from the Uk, better than Mojo), and I was like 'well if nirvana like them they should be pretty good'. i only listened to Teenage Riot for a while (Daydream Nation is also very very good) but they have a lot of albums.
some slightly lesser known (i think) tracks -
Death Valley 69 w/ Lydia Lunch
Winner's Blues (if anyone can think of what other song this song this sounds like that would be greatly appreciated I just can't place it)
Shadow of a Doubt
The Diamond Sea (19.47 long)
The Empty Page
Within You Without You (beatles cover)
And the album Murray St., which is pretty cool
Also, there is a NZ song called 'Point That Thing Somewhere Else' which reminds me of The Sprawl from Daydream Nation but was released like 6 years earlier
so yeah, thanks to Krist and his choice in t-shirts fo the recommendation :)
it's one some of my favourite album art, the 1966 hipsters combined with the comic-book style and the early 90s alt band angst and it;s just so cool

Wolfmanhattan Project — Summer for Ever and Ever (In the Red)
Tumblr media
Summer Forever And Ever by Wolfmanhattan Project
Wolfmanhattan Project marshals a considerable amount of garage punk firepower. Its three members are Kid Congo Powers (of Gun Club, the Cramps, the Bad Seeds, Pink Monkey Birds, etc.), Mick Collins (Dirt Bombs and the Gories) and Bob Bert (the original drummer for Sonic Youth, also Pussy Galore and bands led by Lydia Lunch and Jon Spencer), all cult icons in their own greasy, fuzz-busted, rock and roll way.
In 2019, when the first Wolfmanhattan Project album surfaced, it seemed like it might be a one off. After all, how often would these three guys’ calendars clear long enough to add to the catalogue? And yet it was worth hoping for another helping of something so good. My review of Blue Gene Stew asked “Who knows what possessed Mick Collins, Kid Congo Powers and Bob Bert to hook up for the Wolfmanhattan Project? But good thing they did, because here we have giddy garage contraption which combines Collins’ sci-fi obsessions, Powers’ hallucinogenic visions and Bert’s power-house pound—along with a hefty helping of fuzzy r ‘n r mayhem.”
With the first album it was possible to discern which member birthed which songs—there were cuts that sounded like the Dirtbombs and songs that sounded like Kid Congo Powers and one barn-burning punker that clearly belonged to Bert. That’s true again, but not as definitively. “Countdown Love” bucks and wallops in a Bob Bert like way, and “H Hour” has Collins’ distortion crusted, dirty, catchy mark on it, and “Very Next Songs” is equal parts mystic and rocking, as Kid Congo Powers often is. And yet, these songs sound more cohesive, more like each other, than on the previous album. It tastes like a good stew on the next day, all the flavors distinguishable but melded somehow. Could we dare to hope that Wolfmanhattan Project has turned from an occasional goof into an actual band?
Summer for Ever and Ever has its feel-good pop ragers (like the title track), its banging, raging, jungle-drumming pipedreams (“Respectable Pigs”), and its weird sound sculpted intervals (“New in the World” with its distended chords, its wandering piano and its dying rattlesnake tambourine)—that is, all the irregular pieces that made Blue Gene Stew, so fascinating. But the pieces fit together this time in a worn-in, practiced way.
You might look for wisdom from this trio of guys who’ve been at the rock endeavor for this long, and indeed, “Very Next Song,” contains a couplet that defines longevity in the arts or life or anything else. “We make the work…” chants Powers above a thrash of noisy guitar play and thundering beats, “And the work makes us.” Amen to that, and more of it.

Lydia Lunch
I have to be in a certain mood to listen to her music (that goes for all no wave, though), but I dig it. I think that Lisa Carver described her work very well in that she said that Lydia doesn't really sing or straight speak, either - she just has a "voice" and you know that voice whenever you hear it.
On a more shallow note, she is a drop-dead gorgeous woman and a persona style icon for me. I wish I looked like her. Some people say I do, but I personally don't see it.

HEAR: Cat Power and Iggy Pop - “Working Class Hero”
Tumblr media
Cat Power + Iggy Pop is a dream come true for post-punk fans. Cat Power’s love letter to Marianne Faithful is a poignant and beautiful take on” Working Class Hero”. Read more and check out the song below: In The Q Records & BANDBOX, along with the Women of Rock Oral History Project recently announced the release of a new benefit album, The Faithful: A Tribute to Marianne Faithfull featuring 19 cover songs from artists including Shirley Manson, Peaches, Lydia Lunch, Tanya Donelly, Cat Power, Iggy Pop, Bush Tetras, Donita Sparks and more! The full album will be available on streaming platforms Dec. 8and special edition vinyl variants can be pre-ordered now via IN THE Q RECORDS and BANDBOX. The double LP features original artwork by Jill Emery (Hole, Mazzy Star). Check out “Working Class Hero” below: The Faithful is a massive love letter to Marianne Faithfull. Everyone involved with this tribute album has graciously and enthusiastically donated their talent, time, and energy so that all profits can go directly to assist Marianne as she recovers from Long COVID. "Marianne has lived a life!! She is a queen to all who know her, and all who adore her! Her framework of contributions to the world of music is unmistakable! Every time I hear her gorgeous vocal sway, I am moved, I am closer to permanence. In a world of dizzying, new fizzling arrows of song and voices, Marianne has always struck the bullseye of my heart and soul. I adore her like no other. A true Dame, beyond words. Royalty forever." — Chan Marshall "I published a book, that was more of a love letter, about Marianne Faithfull in 2021. The depth of my gratitude and devotion can be found in that 40,000 word document, but that was before I got to know the woman behind the icon--or 'the muse', as the boys say. Marianne is funny, smart, intensely creative, an avid reader, and a normal human being who has been through some shit--haven't we all? To me, the fact that Marianne is a regular-ass person who has struggled, overcome addiction, health problems, has experienced love and loss, and continued to amass a musical catalogue as expansive as hers is a testament to her genius. When she lost her voice after contracting Covid, she recorded a spoken word poetry album with Warren Ellis (She Walks in Beauty). The thing about being an icon or a muse is that it doesn't pay the bills--even if you have over 50 records under your belt. Even if you were the It Girl of the swinging sixties. Even if you're Marianne Faithfull. Marianne built a career as a counter-cultural artist, exploring a multitude of genres and styles. She's worked with countless collaborators, musicians, and producers. As a result, her catalog, and career, can't be easily categorized which basically means she never had a chance of reaching the kind of widespread commercial recognition she deserved. My hope with this record is that Marianne sees how loved, respected, and appreciated she is by her successors. I hope that these versions of her songs introduce a new audience to Marianne Faithfull and inspire them to buy her records. I hope that Marianne Faithfull gets the respect she deserves; preferably in this lifetime." - Tanya Pearson, Founder, Women Of Rock Oral History Project Read the full article
