I giggle over the fact that I could feel it in my bones that Siroco would get asked about multiple times and turned out to be correct but HERE WE GO!

Siroco Capala!

Blood of yellow, ass of dumb, and honestly my favorite out of my guys on this blog.

Roco's an interesting case, a real example of a joke concept turning into something far beyond the scope of what I would've ever expected! Honestly, he started out as a design that I wanted to make using "Sandstorm"-Darude as an inspiration. For a while at least, he was just there, a little nod to an inside joke with myself.

Once Liam got the idea to make a band of childhood friends that were all coyote trolls, Roco started to come to life! Granted, he's since been retconned as having an Ethiopian wolf (and some sort of deer or antelope fused) lusus, but it doesn't mean a thing to him or his bandmates!

His personality's intriguing to write because what he shows outside contrasts some of what he internalizes. Punk rock/grunge goblin who says 'fuck the system with a cactus' and cackles as he's setting off fireworks in the troll Wal-Mart? Yeah, he's also dealing with his own complex of feeling like it's all just for show, that lowbloods trying to break out of oppression never worked before, so why would he be any different? He acts carefree, but he also feels like he and his bandmates carry the world on their shoulders, especially when he sees or hears about trolls like himself being beaten down or killed. He's stuck between 'the band's all for fun and we're just here and having a good time' and 'We could be sending a huge message here that could get any of us killed', and it's rough on him. He masks it majorly by being loud and boisterous (respectfully, at least) to give the impression that it's all just a huge party, even in the rough times!

ADHD's a major part of his character, and sometimes, it's difficult to convey despite having personal experience with it. He has a lot of trouble with sitting still and keeping focused on one thing, so he needs to have multiple things that he can control occurring in order for him to be productive! It's not uncommon to see his darting gaze, wiggling or tapping fingers, tapping feet, or at least some form of multitasking to try to keep on task. It doesn't always work, but he tries! Even if he gets distracted a lot, he's apologetic when he zones out and asks for the other party to give him a recap, and when he's in the zone, he tries to be really attentive to ensure that he hears and understands whoever he's talking to! He struggles to empathize a lot, actually, but he'll still make an attempt to imagine himself in another situation to get the picture of what's going on!

Expanding more on his interpersonal demeanor, Roco knows that he isn't the best at words, and sometimes he can end up not making sense or sending mixed messages, which is honestly quite a cause of frustration towards himself! Sometimes, he can't help but to get upset with himself if he feels like what he's saying or doing is inadequate, especially if it's meant for or towards someone else! He might need the comfort and reassurance in times like that that what he's doing is good enough, or, if it isn't, what he can do to make it better. He doesn't take rejection well and might withdraw into himself or become upset and irritable for a bit, but very rarely does he lash out at people, and when he does, he'll try to make up for it in whatever ways he can!

Delving into Siroco's quad life, he tends to be super selective. He had resolved to only date his bandmates, but there's still a lot of wariness about the idea with the fear that if anything happened to their relationships, it might jeopardize the band. As of late, though, he's made some actual friends beyond the band and, with his red being taken by Ronnie and a touch-and-go pitch crush on their other bandmate, Antini, it still leaves his pale open, and he's ended up looking towards a couple of potential unspoken candidates, those being Zeruki and his name BFF, who he's fondly dubbed "Sirra". He's also deeply fond of Cilvir, but it's purely platonic. He still wrestles with the idea of going anywhere other than platonic for the other two mentioned as well, but in the end, chances are that he will. Not even I can say which one it would be, though.

I don't really have any plots for Roco, honestly. He just goes through his nightly life, taking one step at a time and trying to make the best of what the time that he has! He knows as a yellowblood that he won't live super-long, especially given his role in sparking yet another movement, and the idea of death terrifies him! He tries to make up for it by living as much to the fullest as he can, which is one of those kinds of things where, in a world where he knows that very little is within his control, he can at least take solace in the fact that he can at least choose to live loud. If he does have to die, he'd rather it be knowing that he was doing something meaningful at least to himself or someone else than to let age take its course when there isn't much left over for him.

A thought inside my muse’s mind:

Lyodae sat on the couch, throwing a ball back and forth between two of the howlbeasts he had. His thoughts drifted with the mindless task, slowly creeping back to the thought of what would happen if he left the church. What if he didn’t show up anymore? 

The clock was ticking, and he knew he needed at least a half hour to put on his paint. So it was time to make up his mind. Was today the day he just didn’t go back to Iriscus? That he threw out all the paint and said “Fuck you” to the Messiahs who never reached out to him? What good was faith if he could see everyone else around him rewarded with special powers and communication with these supposed Messiahs? They probably weren’t even real. Just a bunch of losers who kill trolls for fun in the name of some imaginary assholes in the sky. 

He had about 45 minutes left before the meeting started. Meeting? Session? He never knew what to call it. 

A heavy paw laid itself on his knee, and a deep whine alerted Lyodae that he was lacking in his throwing the ball duties. He shifted to knock the paw off and picked the ball back up. 

“I gotta get ready,” he told the howlbeast, petting his head before throwing the ball one last time. 

Today wasn’t the day he would quit.
