with how the splat 3 fanbase is acting about splatfests, you'd think there's something real and tangible on the line and not like, superficial bragging rights and a few extra snails. idk why people are sitting here and getting angry at shiver as if she's a real person who has any actual will to do anything and not just pixels on a screen, especially when there are legitimate issues with how splatfests are designed and run in splat3, and that's the devs and nintendo's fault, not shiver. she's not real and she can't do anything to you. and i've seen way more complaining about the concept of "toxic shiver stans who always pick shiver and ruin it for everyone" than i have any actual evidence that these kind of people exist on a mass scale. it really feels like that kind of person is a guy that the fanbase made up to be mad at every time they lose. i agree that there are huge problems with splat 3 but the moment someone lays the blame on shiver they throw all credibility out the window. it's not shiver, there's no evil cult of shiver stans manipulating the splatfests, and don't get me started on how people are talking about the asian playerbase with these splatfests.

i know i don't post much here these days but hi! here to say that i'm aware of the rumors of tumblr attempting to partner with midjourney. while i do not know if they are true, if it ends up being so, i will sadly be deleting this blog and all remaining art on my main blog as well, because as it stands, i do not believe generative AI is being used in an ethical way and i do not wish for any of my art to contribute to these models. if this happens, i will likely revive my art twitter and post there instead. thanks!

at this point i think gundam seed is starting to haunt me on so many levels i might just have to make a post using big girl words to talk about it later when i finish. bc by god if i'm gonna be a bitter hater, i'm gonna be an informed bitter hater, and to do that i need to finish the show. at least it's not all bad, there have been things i liked, and it still has not made me as angry as unicorn did, but good fucking god this show is vying very hard to beat it

i finished turn A recently, which was great, and now im giving gundam seed a fourth try like an idiot and this time i made it past episode 3 but this is mostly testing my patience by not being very interesting. i don't really care for hater opinions bc those are dime a dozen and im a mature adult who can do my best to come at something and give it a chance. but good lord i feel this one will still be difficult

unfortunately i don't think they quite exist as in all my watching there's really only about four archetypes that consistently show up, but there's one guy that comes to mind

all in all a proper trying to analyze gundam archetypes is a post for another day bc they really only exist with certain shows and being UC or non UC also heavily affects the archetypes

i keep wanting to go into a detailed explanation as to why kira yamato isn't a good character and why he specifically drags down so much of seed, but i still don't think i can get much better than his common nickname of kira jesus yamato. like on the one hand, that really doesn't get into why he is a poorly written character and why this causes such antipathy with many people and the fandom at large. on the other, well, can you get any more succinct and correct than that? no matter what i say, that nickname will say it better
