Once you do ask though, she would accept with open arms...in her own way of course. "Sure let's do it...b-but I don't have any plans so you choose where we go-"

Doesn't look it, but is actually very nervous to go on a date, seeing as she's never really dated anyone before.

So she's stumbling over herself, asking if she's doing ok. That kind of thing.

I have no idea what I'm writing this for or why, but @lucifernous mentioned this is how brian would celebrate valentine's day (probably in season four) and it's sort of hysterical to me.

"Brian..."

Justin winced as Brian forcefully closed the fridge door. Oh well. He hadn't quiiiite slammed it.

"Please?"

He'd tried his cutest face, his pout, and even promising a whole evening of letting Brian do whatever he wanted to Justin in bed. Brian's reaction -- maybe predictably -- had been point out that there were dozens of boys in Babylon's back room Justin could fuck if he 'got the urge'.

Now Justin was as close to begging as he ever got. Brian turned to glare at Justin. "You want to fuck me," Brian said flatly.

Justin didn't respond, because -- well for one, duh. Of *course* he wanted to fuck Brian. For two, the fact that Brian wasn't banging out of the loft in disgust meant he had an in. A tiny one, sure. But an in. And Justin would use any advantage he could.

Brian continued to stare expectantly.

Justin tried, "It is a special occasion this week..." When Brian rolled his eyes so hard it moved his entire body, Justin added quickly, "Which I don't expect us to celebrate at all or anything-- Brian--"

Brian, predictably, stomped into the bedroom, and then into the shower. Justin sighed. He didn't think the 'celebrate Valentines' Day' gambit would work at all, but he was now officially out of ideas. Maybe he could take Daphne on a special date for the day.

He was just texting Emmett about casual dinner places that might do a really great Valentines day meal so he and Daphne could splurge, when Brian came stomping right back out into the main room. "I thought you were coming in the shower-- or, going to come in the shower."

Justin didn't look up -- there was a new French bistro near Emmett's place, apparently, and he'd look up their hours and reservations. "I'm trying to find a place to take Daphne on a date," he replied absently. "We don't celebrate Valentine's day but that doesn't mean I don't want to get dressed up and eat."

Emmett confirmed: lunch reservations available. Table for two, and they even had a three course taster for the day. Sweet.

"If -- and I have every faith that you'll be forfeiting -- you can manage to refrain from any and every sappy, sentimental, or otherwise nausea-inducing reference for the next forty-eight hours... perhaps the day *after* the fucking worst holiday of the year..."

Justin jumped up to kiss Brian, who instinctively wrapped his arms around Justin. He really was sweet. Deep, deep down. "I hereby renounce sap and sentiment," Justin declared. "Your ass is a prize worth any--"

"Starting already," Brian interrupted.

"That was appreciation for your sex appeal, not sentiment," Justin retorted, and grinned. "Besides, you don't hate Valentine's Day. It makes Kinnetik a shit-ton of money."

Brian pretended to look thoughtful. "I suppose *that's* true."

Fran bow remor X apathetic reader?

AN: sorry love, this is going to be quite short, as I've not written for this fandom yet, I've got to get into the swing of things. But I love this idea.

Remor watched from the shadows as you toted around the forest. He was intrigued, you and another small human had found your way into the haunted villa. Each of you lost in your own way. He came to learn from watching that the others name was Fran Bow. She seemed confused at best, but she wasn’t dull.

But it seemed, neither were you. Waking up in a strange place could be daunting, but you showed no fear. Even when interacting with the Luciferns, you did not tremble. You didn’t do much of anything actually. Even when one burst into flames before you, slightly burning the flesh of your hand, you hesitated to flinch. You réaction seemed delayed. Like you were remembering how someone was supposed to respond to such an action.

The twins didn’t bother you either. You heard their plight yet did not weep. It was the first time you’d interacted with your counter part, Fran Bow being polite and fragile. But you were calculated and disconnected. She wished to help, were as you knew better than to trust them. And when the twins lunged at her with a knife, you were quick to push her out of the way.

It hurt. Of course it did, but you didn’t show it. Showing your emotions would be weakness, you had no need for such things. You wiped around and smashed a bottle over one fo their heads, threatening the other with the knife you pulled from your back. You Grabbed Fran’s hand and pulled her from the house.

“You are foolish, and naive, you will not survive in a place alone like this.”

These words struck Remor as odd, what did you know of this world. Why were you impartial to its cruelty and wonder. He had to know you, dissect you, inside and out. You weren’t like the other humans, and it intrigued him. He caught you alone when Palontras whisked your counterpart away. He expected you to try to run, his natural form was quite alarming, even to the other monsters. But you stood there, unassuming.

“You aren’t scared of me human?”

“You’ve been watching me…” you said, flatly.

“You’ve noticed?”

“It’s hard to ignore a pair of eyes, yours in particular. They’re quite, piercing and malevolent.”

“So why then, are you not afraid.”

“You find me amusing, why else would I have survived the other tests. Miss Sunshine is lucky, she has the skeleton by her side. And Palontras, he cares for her. They will protect her, but you, what are you’re intentions. You’ve yet to interfere until now, why?”

“Because I’ve restrained myself, but you’re far too tempting little one. So what will you chose, come willingly, or fight?”

“Tell me, Remor, where are we going?”

He’d never given you his name…

Alright. Let's get into this. My faith may not be as strong as it once was, but my knowledge is unshakable.

Disclaimer: I am not a scholar, I am not a theologist, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I LOVE Sky.

Second disclaimer: I am not trying to preach to anyone, just put in my perspective as someone who grew up in Christianity.

So! The easy one. Lucifer was actually NOT really the devil's name first- Lucifer was the name of a minor Roman god. The god of the morning star, which shines very brightly. The name "Lucifer" MEANS "Bringer of light" and is the base for the names of the chemicals that make fireflies glow- Lucifern and Lucifrase? I probably spelled them wrong. When the Bible was being standardized, they took this name to show that Satan had once been both powerful and beloved, at least.... That's how my father told it. He was wrong about a LOT of things, so take that with a grain of salt. What IS certain fact is that Lucifer means "bringer of light" and WAS a Roman god of the morning star. This I am sure of.

Sky takes design elements from MANY sources, but the story is undoubtedly biblical. And that really shouldn't be a surprise, given that the bible is really freaking old and has quite a lot of stuff in it! Like.... A LOT of stuff and some of it doesn't make any sense at all. I mean, there was a law about if a thief got away before the sunrise, it was their stuff now or something? It's been a while since I read those particular verses, forgive my casualness but it's 7 am and I'm doing this off the top of my head while getting ready for the day.

Okay. Take a breath. You still with me? Good. Because I'm about to basically speedrun not only the bible, but my church's scripture as well- The Book of Morm-n.

I am censoring it because I have the name blacklisted after seeing so much hate and ignorance and straight-up MALICE on this website, so if you reblog this, PLEASE don't actually spell it out or I will not be able to view the post. Thank you.

So God (by whatever name you'd like) has his "chosen people". He helps and strengthens them and shows them miracles, yes? And as long as they listen to Him, they are blessed. Seems like a good deal to ME, but you know how it is with humans. Give them too much success and they get cocky. Turn their backs on God and start giving THEMSELVES the credit- Which.... Doesn't sit too well. Consequently, they lose His favor and his help until they humble themselves and realize it WAS thanks to Him they were able to get this far. Rinse and repeat for a few thousand years or so.

Basically, God is HAPPY to help out as long as you don't forget He IS helping. But humans are forgetful and they eventually fall away and need to learn they need His help. We call it the Pride Cycle in my church, and it IS a cycle. You see it over and over again.

Now, if we draw parallels and look at Megabird as "God" and perhaps Resh as "Satan", more things click.

Whatever happened in Eden was BIG. Like major ultimate, plain apocalyptic. And now the cycle of the spirits returning to Megabird can't continue because SOMEBODY had to mess it up with something more powerful than simple indifference. This wasn't just the ancestors turning their backs on Megabird, this was them PHYSICALLY UNABLE to return to the light because of the darkness.

And that's why Skykids were created. To do what they no longer could.

Now, then, if- As I believe- Resh is the king and Alef is the prince and they are not the same, then it also seems likely that Alef was the FIRST Skykid. Like an olive branch from Megabird- "I want you to come back. Please don't go further. There IS a way back, and I will give it to you."

To continue the comparison, it would be appropriate to compare Alef to Christ in this sense- The sense of being "firstborn", of being a PRINCE rather than a king.

And all the other Skykids ALSO fit this comparison because of the fact we lose our light and life so the spirits can go home.

But UNLIKE what is taught in Christianity, it is not a PERMANENT saving, evidenced by the fact that the spirits- and the Skykids- RETURN to the world. It is also possible that Alef was sent BEFORE the fall of Eden as a warning almost- Telling Resh all was not yet lost and he could STOP and be forgiven still.

But Satan's crime was pride and I believe it is the same with Resh. They want the power and the glory and the credit that rightly belongs to another- The being which MADE them. So of course he would not have stopped.

Of course, the Ark, Eden's name... There are other parallels to be made, and this is all just speculation from me based on what I think.

Woohoo we have Lucifern first! His icon refers to his passion, which is art. I decided to do a brush with paint stains so it doesn't look that flat, his icon is definitely not my favorite one, but is not bad.

Luciano's icon is super cute. The icon makes reference to his job, which is being a writer, a very popular one.

– Baabe

Lucio! :) Lucio's icon makes reference to their biggest hobby! They play the guitar since they're very young, so a guitar seemed fitting for them.

– Sweetheart

Lucífiro's icon is really cool, I decided to use a lens because of their job, and to add the heart because well, sweet-heart, you know? Definitely the one that is not really making reference to something very specific.

Calvin's icon has to be one of my favorite because of the context behind it. Calvin is a pianist, a very good one, and of course, how could his icon be something else if not a piano?

Alexander's icon is one of my least favorites, probably. It's not ugly, and I really like it, but I feel it doesn't suit them very well. It's a moon with a wolf, which is very basic, the only thing that really looks more like them is the little heart that makes reference to their red heart tattoo under their left eye, which looks like the wolf's eye and I find it funny.

MY FAVORITE ONE FOREVER, Nickolas's icon! Nick collects vynils, so I decided their icon should be a disc, and of course it had to have a sun, i couldn't help myself. This icon is literally so pretty and I don't know what it has but it's just right, I love it.

hehe those are it for now! I'm really happy with the results of them, honestly. I don't know if I'll end up changing them somehow but for now, these are and they're perfect. I'm pretty sure I'll end up sharing the thumbnail concepts too, but that'll be in another post, some other time :))

ok so we were talking about accidental marriage fic right? just, the trope generally (which, I love me a good "woke up vegas married" fic). and she rightly pointed out that the pilot is practically that trope already, what with brian picking up a teenager and letting that teenager name his kid and bonding forever, but--

but, what if, what if--

say brian picked justin up on a saturday. say brian spent thirty six hours partying, not just the twelve between the hospital visit and taking justin to school the next day

say in between they got married while brian was stoned out of his tree, like on sunday. just, like, *imagine*, justin "never gonna give you up, im your twink and you're my man" taylor.... getting to stalk brian while knowing brian put a ring on it?!?!??!

would literally give so much to read this. just-- the whole pilot would be the same? except so. much. funnier.
