Radioapple fic, where after it's revealed that Pentious was redeemed, Heaven sends some angels (including some of Lucifer's own family) down to check out this Hazbin Hotel. (common fic theme)

And Lucifer is STRESSED. He hasn't seen any of his family in millennia, and they absolutely did not part on good terms. Especially because now he has to make as good of an impression as he can because he will NOT be the cause of Charlie's dreams failing.

Anyway, one of Lucifer’s estranged family arrives and they have absolutely NOTHING good to say about the hotel, it's people, or even hell itself. Insulting the decor, how it looks, being like "You got kicked out for free will and THIS is what they do with it? Ugh." and the like.

Lucifer is trying to keep himself together for Charlie's sake. (He's only had 3 breakdowns today, he's doing good!)

However, the last thing he expects is Alastor coming to his defense. Alastor looks at this shitty relative of Lucifer’s and is immediately like, "How DARE you? Antagonizing this angel is MY JOB, and I don't send him into hysterics, I send him into MUSICAL NUMBERS. Get out of my hotel immediately." But, obviously, he can't SAY that (for many reasons, the least of which is that Charlie needs them here for her redemption project).

So instead, he just picks at everything they say. "Hmmmmm, yes, but we at least chose to do this with this, free will you're insulting. What's your excuse for that eyesore youre wearing, hmmm?"

Alastor goes as far as to defend Lucifer’s choices in decor in the hotel, and Lucifer is completely confused because he and Alastor literally fought the day before about that SAME decor??

(The second the angel leaves Alastor turns to him and goes "They're right, you know, that is the ugliest interior design I've ever seen," and then DISAPPEARS before Lucifer can even respond. What the hell?!)

Alastor is not ignorant of toxic family dynamics, and while part of his initial issues with Lucifer stemmed from his belief in him being a deadbeat father, actually knowing him kind of changes his thoughts on this. It's a little telling that Charlie has been (apparently) attempting to contact her mother during her 7 year disappearance and has heard nothing, but the father who (she believed) thinks she's a failure shows up within an hour of her calling him ONCE. And then he does whatever he can to help her dreams, and the second she implies she wants him around more, he MOVES IN. It's kind of hard to continue thinking that LUCIFER is the toxic parent in the family dynamic, after all this.

(He still fights him, though, because it's fun to tell the most powerful being in hell his choice of interior design is ugly. If Alastor kind of doesn't go for the throat in all of Lucifer’s insecurities anymore, no one needs to acknowledge that.)

So, during the entire Heaven tour, Alastor is strongly in the "form a united front" boat. He can and WILL come out of the shadows for a sarcastic quip that simultaneously shuts them down AND makes Lucifer feel better.

(Alastor will NOT acknowledge the anger that goes through him at the idea of someone other than him picking at Lucifer, especially when they are CLEARLY trying to send him into a breakdown. How dare they. *cough* Anyway.)

So the whole ordeal winds up not as stressful as Lucifer was dreading, because somehow he has an antagonistic cannibal deer defending him the entire time. And Lucifer has no idea HOW that happened, but it does kind of make him feel better. (And Alastor's form of mocking him does, too, somehow.)

When they're alone, however, Alastor still picks at him so they can fight. (And Lucifer didn't notice until now how much FUN he has fighting with Alastor, and that Alastor insulting him makes him want to do better and prove him wrong, unlike his visiting family that makes him want to lock himself away for a decade.)

The tour ends, and Alastor and Lucifer go back to how they were before. (Sort of. Lucifer might be re-evaluating every interaction they've ever had and might send himself into a mild crisis.)

The worst thing you can do to Alastor is... ignore him. Good attention, bad attention, he'll take it all, he'll make it all work. But ignoring him? Giving him nothing? Not a shred of attention, of acknowledgement? Oh this will drive him nuts!

If Lucifer and Alastor'll get into serious squabble, not their silly arguments, but something that shouldn't cut as deep from where they are now, Lucifer will take everything in his power to ignore Alastor's presence. Which wouldn't be easy with his reactionary nature. And Alastor... usually he just comes and takes what he wants. It worked before. And now... he is denied, and he is not the one to ask.

So they just slowly and painfully wear each other out.

You're engrossed in a conversation with another demon, your laughter echoing through the room. Lucifer watches from a distance, his usually composed expression marred by a hint of irritation. He strides over confidently, his presence commanding attention. "It seems you've captivated quite an audience," he remarks, his voice low and authoritative. "But let's not forget who you belong to. Excuse us, but I think it's time for a private conversation."

Lucifer's jealousy is often subtle, as he maintains a composed exterior.

He might become more possessive, keeping a watchful eye on you and subtly asserting his presence.

He may engage in small acts of dominance to remind others of your connection.

His tone might become slightly colder or his actions more calculated when interacting with those he perceives as a threat.

He might make a point to showcase his authority or accomplishments in front of others to establish his superiority.

You're surrounded by admirers, each one trying to impress you with their stories and gestures. Mammon scowls, crossing his arms and tapping his foot impatiently. He approaches with a mix of irritation and possessiveness, cutting off the other demons mid-sentence. "Oi! Hands off! Can't you see they're already taken?" he declares, wrapping his arm around your waist protectively. "I'm the only one allowed to monopolize their time, got it?"

Mammon's jealousy is loud and evident, as he struggles to contain his emotions.

He becomes overprotective and tries to monopolize your attention.

He may get easily flustered or irritated when others show interest in you.

Mammon might go to great lengths to prove himself, whether through grand gestures or extravagant gifts.

He might demand more affection and reassurance from you, seeking validation that you choose him over others.

There's actually this new anime I've been dying to recommend. Maybe we could watch it together sometime?"

Leviathan's jealousy often manifests as insecurity, causing him to doubt his worth.

He becomes more withdrawn and distant, isolating himself from others.

Leviathan might act passive-aggressive, making snarky comments or giving you the cold shoulder.

Satan might subtly mark his territory, whether through possessive gestures or subtly claiming your attention.

"Oh, my darling, I see everyone is simply captivated by your beauty and charm," he whispers, his breath warm against your ear. "But remember, you're the true gem here. Let's dance and make them all green with envy, shall we?"

Asmodeus's jealousy is flamboyant and attention-seeking.

He becomes more affectionate, showering you with compliments and physical displays of affection.

Asmodeus may put extra effort into his appearance, wanting to ensure he stands out and catches your eye.

He might engage in playful jealousy, flirting with others in your presence to incite a reaction from you.

He may demand more of your attention and may become more competitive when it comes to your affections.

You're sitting at a crowded dining table, sharing a meal with other demons. Beelzebub watches intently as someone offers you a bite from their plate, a frown forming on his face. He stands up abruptly, his protective instincts taking over. He steps forward, his voice gentle yet firm. "I think it's best if I take care of feeding you," he says, his hand landing gently on your shoulder. "After all, I know your tastes better than anyone else here."

Beelzebub's jealousy is tied to his protectiveness and fear of losing those he cares about.

He becomes more watchful, keeping an eye on potential rivals and ensuring your safety.

Beelzebub's appetite may change, either losing his appetite or eating more as a way to cope with his emotions.

He might become quieter and more introspective, needing time alone to process his jealousy.

Beelzebub may express his jealousy through subtle acts of physical affection, seeking reassurance and closeness with you.

You're engaged in a conversation, your laughter catching the attention of those around you. Belphegor lounges lazily nearby, feigning indifference. He stifles a yawn before sauntering over to your side, a smirk playing on his lips. He leans in, his voice dripping with playful jealousy. "You know, I can make you laugh like that too," he teases, his eyes glinting mischievously. "If you'd give me a chance, I might even surprise you. Come on, let's sneak away from this boring crowd."

Belphegor's jealousy is intertwined with his fear of abandonment and missing out.

He becomes more clingy and possessive, not wanting to be separated from you.

Belphegor might act out or engage in mischievous pranks to get your attention.

He may express his jealousy through teasing or sarcastic remarks, trying to gauge your reaction.

Belphegor may need reassurance and comfort, afraid of being left behind or replaced.

“And you’re still here,” Dean mutters at Lucifer, who’s lounging on Sam’s motel bed. “Sam’s Stepford wife, always waiting for him to come home.” He glares at Lucifer. “Don’t you have a life?”

“He’s not my-“ Sam starts, but he glances at Lucifer.

The reference would sail over his head, but the wife bit, he has to understand. So why is his expression one of longing?

Sam can’t finish his sentence.
