Did some sketches of things I see in my dreams and I comply can’t convey the sheer foreboding and sense of otherworldly daunting forces in my drawings

Okay I’ve had some time to Process Emotionally and I think the thing that fucking KILLS me about the ending is. David’s death. NOT the fact that he died bc that became inevitable even before the last episode, but the WAY he died. They set it up making us think he’d die from the cyberpsychosis. We even get a whole “this is what will happen to you” preview with Maine. Doc literally tells David to his face you’re going to die and it’s going to be because you lose your mind, lose your humanity. You’re going to get killed because you’re too out of it to realize. It’s EXPECTED. But David doesn’t die because of that. He’s still sane at the last minute, the last SECOND before the gunshot goes off. He gets overtaken by cyberpsychosis but never ever to the point of hurting the people he cares about. He dies protecting Lucy and protecting what’s left of his squad. He doesn’t die completely out of his mind like everyone said he would. He’s himself up until the very end. And I JUST. FUCKING. CANNOT

poking around i gotta ask… how do you guys lucid dream..?

I've always had really vivid dreams, and I kinda got to a moderate level of lucidity on accident.

The best place to start is just by writing down your dreams, this gets you better at remembering them which gets you better at identifying them. You start to notice things in your dreams a lot easier when you already have a sorta catalogue for them. I did this by regularly talking about my dreams with my sister. You can also take a few minutes after waking up to just sort through what you remember before doing anything else.

Past that it's sort of been dream by dream for me. I think most people will have one dream that sort of establishes the pattern then you get better at picking up "Oh hey I'm dreaming." I almost always know I'm dreaming but most of the time I'm happy to sit back and watch the show. I don't really try to change the script or fly around or anything, and it's kind of funny but the times I have the people in my dreams have basically told me to stick to the script. Idk how it is for other people but because my dreams are so story driven the players get mad when I don't go with it.

Anyway it's a personal, figure it out on your own terms, sort of thing but you do have the ability to lucid dream. You just gotta sort of train your brain on dreams you've already had. That way your conscious mind recognizes them.

Istg every single time I do research on EDS, I learn that I have another "symptom" that I just thought was a normal, human experience 😰

This is so stupid but like. There have been fics where I've wanted to go into more detail about the process of being admitted to the hospital through the ER, but skipped it bc I couldn't find any good in-depth sources to make it realistic. But there frustrating part is that I've BEEN admitted to the hospital through the ER, I just can't remember the important parts 💀💀💀
