Beginning of April summary, part 3

(Cai Qi & Guo Hongxu lineup debut 🐥🦁 and Cao Muzhi & Wu Yihan what are you doing wh-)

Finally caught up 🙏🎉 (not for long ;w;)

April 6th, noon: Cai Qi, Guo Hongxu, Zuo Yiping

Their first time performing in LC together (though I'm pretty sure they already knew each other from other shared plays, like 白夜追凶). They fit together pretty well imo. Cai Qi managed to make 'The Poker Face' Guo Hongxu break character and laugh during 'You can forget about it'. Just by closely staring at him ><

For once cq plays rock paper scissors normally, but cheats on the last hand >< They just stand there, paper vs paper, and slap their hands (though I wish I knew what ghx says in the end bc it makes audience and cq laugh)

April 6th, night: Cao Muzhi, Wu Yihan, Feng Xinyao

There weren't many clips from that performance, but from pictures I've gathered

Wu Yihan simply leaned in to say something to Cao Muzhi but the photographers run with it (understandable).

For 'You can forget about it' wyh took a sip of... audience said it's vinegar. (culinary tangent ahead)

Most probably it's black rice vinegar (correct me if not) according to wikipedia '½ tablespoon of Western distilled white vinegar is stated to be equivalent in strength to 1 tablespoon Chinkiang vinegar'. So it's more delicate? Which explains why they are able to drink it without flinching and sing afterwards. Idk about you guys, but vinegars we use in Poland (apple cider vinegar or vine one) are absolutely vile to smell, moreso drink. So it bothered me so much that the actors just casually drink it during encore and don't choke >< (tangent over)

Next block of performances starts tommorow (April 12-15) with tcp&wmh ^^ I figured it works for me to cover the musical during the breaks when nothing happens (bc I have time to gather materials). If you get FoMo, then I'm faster on twt @/niebo_sgdlr 💙

Time knew he would never be able to understand all the new-fangled sayings and things that the youth said nowadays; especially given how much time he spent around the other Links without picking up a single term.

It came with being older in age (and era), he knew that. He could easily accept it because there was no shame.

He just can't help but wonder how you managed to keep up with the younger members. You were so close in age, and yet you had a much easier time understanding them.

(Were you his? From what he understood, you came from similar times.)

(He prays you are.)

Four and Sky, despite being “older,” even knew what words the younger generations used in their day-to-day lives.

“You're troubled.”

Time allows his eyes to wander from the conversing group that settled around the fire to his side. He was more than out of the way from the others, resting his aching back against a tree.

“What’s wrong?”

He shakes his head, letting his gaze move elsewhere so as to not let his hesitance show. “I’m fine. Your eyes deceive you.”

“My eyes deceive me?” Rather than offense, your voice mocked his own in amusement. “I’d be a fool to not see you sulk in this corner by your lonesome. I’ll ask again;” you hum, taking his hand into yours. “What troubles you?”

Time makes a vague gesture to the gossiping group, the tales of Wild’s experiences days after he woke up from his century-long sleep transitioning into Wind’s carefully spun stories of the seas to impress his older brothers.

“Their language is lost on me.”

“Lost on you?”

“Aye,” Time groans.

The laugh that bubbles out from your throat; Time has known (his) you long enough to know which ones you're able to hold back and which ones you can't.

He knows this is one of those laughs you can't stifle.

Time’s lungs clear at the sound. Whatever smoke and fog that previously cluttered them instantly dissipates into the air he breathed, the (not so) subtle of his brows undoing itself the few seconds it went on.

“They're not having an easy time either, you know,” you say.

The comment makes Time huff, his spine curling under the heavy weight of his armor when his muscles relax. “I know.” The leather and metal of his gauntlets creak around his fingers uncomfortably when he cracks his knuckles. “I know,” he reiterates.

“It’s always aye with you. Yes sir, no boy— you’re so formal.” Despite the discomfort of it, you lean onto his arm. “The only ones not intimidated by it are Twilight and Hyrule. Relax.”

“I am relaxed.”

Time ignores the way you stare down at the armor he wore.

The phantom warmth he felt emanating from your body leaves when you stand. He wants to reach out and bring you back beside him, but he doesn't believe he should be selfish when he looked so rigid and was seated so close to the others.

The desire grows when you stretch an arm behind his head and cup your hand around the back of his head, fingers scratching his scalp. His body feels akin to an open flame with you pull him forward and press a kiss to his forehead.

“Take your armor off and join us. Tell us that story of your ex-fiancée, yeah?”

Time is ashamed of how quickly he sheds his metal outer-casing, but he does as told like a dog receiving a bone.

(Based on what Wind said in Sunset 11. This is actually sort of based on a fic idea I’ve had laying around as well)

Twilight was there. He was standing, skin no longer a sickly white, the bandages wrapped around his midsection discarded. He was smiling at Wind. It was a smile that made Wind feel safe in most situations.

Though he wasn’t entirely sure about this situation. They weren’t in the inn he fell asleep in. Instead, they were on a half-sunken ship, dark waters surrounding them and the sky filled with ominous purple clouds. “Twilight, what’s going on?” He asked hesitantly.

Twilight didn’t reply. He just stood there, smiling, until the waters around them began to shake and sway. Wind stumbled, trying to keep his balance. Something gurgled from below. Two black tentacles, each with a bright red-yellow eye on them, leapt from the water and wrapped around Twilight, dragging him to the edge of the rickety platform they stood on.

Wind’s blood ran cold.

The squid like body rose from the depths with a tight grip around Twilight. It’s singular eye glared deep into Wind’s soul before it’s sharp teeth latched onto Twilight’s back with a snap. Twilight convulsed, body quickly falling limp as the monster continued to wrap itself around its prey.

Wind reached back to draw his sword.

Twilight’s complexion became purple and zombified. The monster rested upon his back, tentacles flailing out. “Wind…” he mumbled, voice hoarse. “I’m sorry…”

“Come on Twilight, you have to fight it!” He shouted. He couldn’t do this again.

Twilight groaned, and the monster growled, tentacles moving to Twilight’s chest to touch the Shadow Crystal. In a flurry of black shards mixed with purple smoke, the large form of a wolf stumbled before him. It snarled, thrashing its head side to side for a moment before it’s hollow gaze settled on Wind.

“You… you need to fight this!” Wind shouted once more. The hand holding the Phantom Sword trembled.

The wolf barked, crouching back, before lunging at Wind.

Wind closed his eyes.

And woke up in a bed, chest rising and falling rapidly, sweat trickling down his cheek.

It was just a dream, a strangely vivid dream. Twilight was going to be fine, he was certain of it.

Or at least he hoped he could be…

If I didn't force myself to post this now, I don't think I ever will. I have not been so nervous about a chapter in a very long time.

Does that bode well for me? No. But I will march on nonetheless. Insert joke about this chapter is already over half a million words long and all the rights it gives me to do whatever the hell I want at this point.

ANOTHER CLARIFACTION

I refer to Warriors as Valor in my fics, and it's mainly because it's easier to write that grammatically. It's like that in every fic he's in. He's the exact same character otherwise. I also refer to Hyrule as Traveler in my fics.
