alie! I absolutely adore this mirrorball x buck set that you made last year! (/post/701462848238403584/) (also I can't believe it's been a year, like seriously what is time?) I was wondering how you did the shattered glass effect in the first gif? in particular how you made the black and white gifs appear distorted within the glass if that makes sense? thank you!!!
ahhh thank you so much renee! literally what is time lol, this gifset is still one of my faves that i made. the shattered glass effect is mostly just a lot of layer masks to be honest hahaha. i'm so glad i still have the psd, so here's how i did it under the cut~
Tumblr media
(this tutorial assumes you know how to put multiple gifs in the same canvas and are familiar with layer groups and masks)
I. PREPARATION
first things first, create an empty canvas of your desired size. mine was 540x540 px.
then, you need to find a cracked glass texture. if i remember correctly i simply googled something like "broken glass png", "cracked glass png", because i wanted something already transparent.
(a texture that's something like black lines over a white background definitely works too, you'll just have to put that layer's blending mode to darken or multiply.)
here's the png i used (and a download link for best quality):
Tumblr media
and after positioning it into my canvas.
Tumblr media
II. CREATING MAIN SECTIONS FOR GIFS
so basically when i did is i sectioned parts of the texture for each gif that i wanted to put. following the texture's lines, i zoomed in and carefuly drew a first shape along the lines with the polygon tool. you can also put a color fill layer behind the cracked glass layer so it's easier to see, like i did.
Tumblr media
once you have your shape selected, click on the folder icon (1), then on the layer mask icon (2). it should give you a nice masked group to put gifs in hehe
Tumblr media
then i repeated the process until i had all of my desired shapes. i've put some color layers so it's easier to see, but here are my 6 main shapes and how my layer groups look like so far:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
III. GIFFING TIME
after screencaping and making all 6 gifs required for each section, you need to put all of them in the same canvas. i simply put one smart object gif layer in each group created earlier. then, i resized and rotated each gif to fit its group (by hitting ctrl + T while selecting the gif layer), as you can see with the gif labeled 6x02 in the layers preview. for the coloring, i went simple with black and white for most of them.
Tumblr media
once i have all six gifs sharpened, colored, and placed in each shape group, the gif looks like this. the broken glass texture does most of the work to be honest:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
obviously the center gif doesn't have any kind of effect, it's just colored as usual, so i'm not gonna go over it. it's just one gif layer in a masked group.
IV. SUBSECTIONS FOR DISRTORTED EFFECT
okay so for the distorted effect it's even more layer masks! basically i created more smaller sections within each main shapes already, still following the cracked glass texture's lines with the polygon tool and put them in individual masked groups like i did in the second step. here's how i ended up dividing each main sections:
Tumblr media
yep, each color here is a different masked group, for example the 2nd and 3rd shape sections:
Tumblr media
for each main shape section, you want to duplicate your gif layer the same amount of times as you have subsections within that shape. so if the main shape has 5 smaller subsections, i want 5 layers of that same gif. just make sure to not change its duration or position yet, and make sure the coloring layers/group stays on top of the groups in its shape section. then, simply put one gif layer duplicate in each group. example of my layers for the second shape so far:
Tumblr media
then just repeat this until all subsections have its own gif layer.
V. DISTORTED EFFECT
this is the best part! and it's really easy. basically you want to slightly move each subsection by a few pixels, so they're in a slightly different position than the ones next to it.
to do so, select one of the gif layers and with the arrows on your keyboard, move it left or right, and even up or down if it looks good. i do this for all duplicated gif layers, making sure it looks like they're all slightly offset. focus on the cracked glass overlay's lines while nudging the gif layers, it's easy to see how the shapes break when you move them. for example here:
Tumblr media
this is really just all trial and error, you just need to move each subsection gif layer by a few pixels with the keyboard arrows until it looks good to you.
here's my result once i've done this for all (23!!) subsections:
Tumblr media
VI. FINAL TOUCHES
i don't think i did much else to this before typography besides adding a bit of contrast overall and a thin drop shadow to the cracked layer texture on top of everything. if you have a transparent png this definitely helps to give a bit more dimension to the effect. so here's the final result:
Tumblr media
i hope that was clear enough hehe :D

A small little 6x02 coda
"I'm worried about Buck." It comes out in one breath, breaking the comfortable silence between him and Chimney as they eat their breakfast.
Chimney nods. "Yeah, me too. And Hen. I know she's had a lot on her plate and losing someone on the job is always hard."
"Yeah." He takes a sip of his coffee and mulls it over.
The way Buck looked so devastated, the way he was so quiet on their way back to the station, is haunting him. They've had dozens of bad calls before, but this feels different, like one of those special calls that hits just a little too close to home. He doesn't know what the guy had said to Buck, but he does know Buck, and could tell how much it affected him.
He knows Buck is focusing on himself right now and just needs his space, but Eddie just wishes he could grab Buck by the shoulder and tell him that he's here. He doesn't have to go through this alone.
Chimney points a fork toward him. "What I don't get is why aren't you currently with Buck right now?"
Eddie furrows his brow. "He declined the offer to go to breakfast, remember?"
"Yeah, but why isn't he with you? Don't you guys usually hang out at each other's place whenever there's a bad call?"
Eddie fights the urge to squirm in his seat. "Yeah, but Buck needs his space."
Chimney studies him for a moment. "Maybe he does. But maybe he's just in his head to ask for help."
"Yeah. But…I just –" Eddie sighs, and looks down at his food, the truth crawling up throat and barely escaping his tongue. "I'm not sure that I'm what he needs right now."
Chimney snorts which makes him lift his head up to meet his gaze. Chimney then clears his throat. "Sorry, I thought you were joking. Eddie," he then gives him a soft look, "you're always going to be what Buck needs. Anyone who knows you two knows that."
Eddie gulps.
"Look, I know a thing or two about fear, but don't let that stop you. If you want to show Buck that you're there for him, show him. The kid's smart and all but he needs that reminder."
Eddie huffs out a laugh. "Don't I know it." He then smiles. "Thanks, Chim."
Chimney smiles back. "Of course."
***
"Knock knock." Eddie proclaims as he opens Buck's door.
Silence greets him.
He slips off his shoes and immediately heads upstairs.
Just like he thought, Buck is buried in his covers, back facing Eddie.
Eddie can't help but just stare at him for a moment, lost in the way his curls are sticking out or how even with a hoodie, his muscles are popping out through the fabric. He looks so soft like this and all Eddie wants to do is shield him from the world.
"Alright, scoot over."
Buck turns his head and squints up at him. "Eddie? What are you doing here?"
"To spoon you. Now scoot over."
Buck doesn't say anything and instead lets out a small smile before scooting further in the bed.
Eddie takes that as his cue to crawl in bed. Once comfortable on his side, he wraps an arm around Buck and pulls him closer against him.
"You don't have to be here you know."
Eddie scoffs. "I know I don't have to. But I want to. I'm always here for you, Buck."
Buck links their hands together. "Thanks, Eds."
"Anytime."

My 911 7x05/7B predictions
- Eddie and Marisol break up (she’s only had one line and one appearance in the last four episodes and I find it kind of ooc that the reasons Eddie didn’t want to be with Ana wouldn’t also apply to Marisol, there’s been such little build up or even scenes with them to suggest otherwise. That might change this season, but we haven’t seen a successful relationship launched between a recurring character and a newly introduced character since Michael and David (I don’t count madney because even though Maddie was new they’re both mains), so I don’t know how they’d do this for Eddie and Marisol without it being rushed and kind of clumsy)
- Buck and Tommy will have a good run but I don’t think they’ll last to the end of the season. Tim Minear said as much himself and described bucktommy as an important but “sort of the entry-level relationship” as Buck begins to understand his sexuality, but because of Tommy’s redemption arc and the clear joy Buck has about their relationship I don’t think they’ll end because of something bad between them. I’d hope it would either be that Tommy has to move due to some sort of career advancement, or someone realizes feelings between Buck and Eddie and Tommy doesn’t want to be a replacement, and not them killing him off. With that in mind, my genuine theory is that buddie would be what ends bucktommy because Minear hasn’t completed the rest of the season yet and has repeatedly expressed concerns about making sure he doesn’t create anything that messes with ratings and views, so if anything he may have been testing the waters with bucktommy to pave the way for buddie if it was received well- which it was. Whatever it is, I don’t think it’ll happen off-screen like with Natalia.
- There’s going to be some drama or angst surrounding Hen and Karen’s baby (they really deserve a break but they never seem to get one when it comes to their kids and I’m nervous, but they’ll get a lot of support from Chim and Maddie especially and I can see the relationship between these sets of parents getting even stronger)
- The silly Jinx/Cursed type episode this season will involve Chimney’s bachelor party (might be There Goes the Groom) as the 118 boys stumble into some wild shenanigans. For anyone who’s seen Psych 3x04 and 6x02 and/or remembers 911 2x15 Ocean’s 9-1-1, THAT is the kind of chaos I’m looking for where maybe they accidentally get involved in some kind of nonsense and wind up getting interrogated by Athena or get drunk/dosed and have to retrace everything that happened that night (bonus points for the trope of something happening between Eddie and Buck during that time because it would be hilarious timing but honestly not a bad way to get the ball rolling). Anyway, this would explain the ruined suits in the bts photos and I honestly see them just showing up to the wedding all messy and disheveled like John Watson in Game of Shadows and Maddie being shocked but not surprised despite having made them promise nothing will go wrong or something.
- Christopher’s current storyline arc is going to get a wholesome resolution closer to the end of the season as he works through his feelings and trauma from his mom’s death, and I think/hope Eddie and Buck will get to share a proud co-parent moment seeing him go off to a school dance or a date and knowing that he’s in a better place than he was at the beginning. The scene with Shannon’s letter was so beautiful but I think this narrative still hasn’t come full circle yet because we haven’t seen it change his dating behavior, he just put the photo back up, and I think the resolution really has to involve all three of them as a family (in whichever sense that ends up being).
- Whatever grand emergency features in the season finale, I don’t think it will involve the traumatic injury of a main character, I think it’ll be a really personal and emotional type of situation rather than something physical. The three episode premier was so intense and ongoing that I have a sense they might follow the pattern of s3 and s5 which each had a major physically endangering episode in the middle (Fallout and Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1) and then scattered large emergencies near the end with a finale that provided a lot of closure and personal resolutions for character struggles to carry over into s8. This might be the thing with Chris, or possibly more personal growth for Buck, but I think it has to be Eddie, Chris, or Buck because they have the most loose ends right now. The middle emergency has a good chance of being Ravi if they go with him getting the Albert treatment. Regardless, the hype for the show since being taken up by ABC has been huge so I think the finale will still have some sort of massive implication that’ll hook people in for the next season.
- Bonus minor prediction: Buck and Tommy cross paths at an emergency because I think that would be cute

top five moments of 6x02 ♡
OMG I CAN ONLY PICK FIVE?? OK LET’S GO:
lie detector (tim’s ily) — I think this moment is my favourite part of the episode by far, because first off you have the question about the bugs which was SOOOO cute and so encapsulating of chenford’s relationship that it had me giggling at my tv and twirling my hair lol. but then lucy takes the time to seek out confirmation of his love out of her own will, not because she needed to be proven right but because she wanted to hear it 🥹 and he immediately says yes! he loves her! we finally get to hear it and the lie detector shows it’s true and it’s just so gratifying for chenford fans to finally get this
cop cutie! cute and on duty! — GUYS I KNOW IT’S CORNY BUT HATERS WILL HATE, DADDY COP IS A BANGER!! this was so funny and such an earworm— and to those saying they thought it was an old episode when it opened on that scene, lemme just say SAME lol— but then to up the ante by pulling out the choir as if literally singing for and rejoicing the 100th episode was just so perfect and classic rookie: a little hokey but well executed and fun and all around heartfelt. 10/10 I need it on spotify right now.
if I ain’t got you by alicia keys (lucy’s ily) — okay I’m scared some of you chenford girlies are going to tar and feather me for not putting this at number 1 or 2 but HEAR ME OUT: I’ve expressed my problems about this temporary argument solution!! I think this whole scene is so gorgeous for so so so many reasons: lucy and tim dancing as a couple for the first time, the matching outfits, the kiss, ugh all PERFECT I love my babies 🥹❤️ that being said, I don’t like how so much of the resolution/peace between them relied on tim being completely in the wrong when I feel like it’s a more nuanced issue than that and denies lucy any opportunity to critically reflect on her own feelings about this. and also, it does seem weird to me that she wouldn’t have said ‘I love you’ back to tim when he first said it?? they smile at each other but then they’re back to looking awkwardly from afar at the wedding (prior to this scene of course) and so I’m a bit uneasy at the implication (which the writers did not necessarily add on purpose) that lucy’s ily depended on him admitting he was wrong in any way. but idk maybe I’m just being too nitpicky here, I still ADOREEE THIS SCENE FOREVER AND EVER I want it on my grave k thanks
tim down on one knee — need I say more?? this imagery of him on his knee with the ring staring up at lucy was a glimpse at chenford’s future and it was such cute teasing, god I love writers and showrunners when they add messy fun little teaser moments like this! plus tim totally kicked ass, all covered in blood and ready to pass out, and ah, I do always say the best kind of lust is bloodlust 😌
bailan wedding vows — I actually cannot believe the day has come where a bailan moment is in my top 5 episode moments but these wedding vows showed me how the writers are finally able to articulate what works about them as a couple!! with someone as impressive and as versatile and skilled as bailey, I think literally any other man would feel threatened or emasculated, but nolan really is just Some Guy™️ who’s really into her and obsessed with her and is very sturdy ground for her to come home to. I wish we dove more into her past as a survivor of abuse because I feel like that previous situation informs so much of why she loves john even though, let’s be real: she’s eons above his league holy shit it’s not even funny how out of his league she is. but also she could never be with anyone else! she really just loves him and they have such a nice soft relationship which the wedding really sold me on. I liked it a lot even though I had my qualms about her and him as individuals and together.
honourable mention to wade and luna because I love them so much y’all they are adorable!! anyways, here’s my list and lmk if you agree

Thoughts on Chenford in 6x02?
Spoilers below
Before I get into the epi, I will just be honest and say I don’t get all of the Team Tim and Team Lucy stuff blowing up in the fandom — they can both be wrong and right in different ways. Neither needs to be the victim or the villain.
I felt that way after 6x01 and I feel the same way now.
Tim didn’t actually do much to support or help Lucy last week beyond just agreeing with whatever she said. Lucy definitely unfairly took out her stress on him and was a bit of a jerk. But it’s not like we haven’t shrugged off Tim being a jerk to Lucy a million times.
Lucy was made to look a little more wrong last week (both because she made the mistake and jumped all over Tim), and Tim looked a little more wrong this week (because he was being avoidant and dismissive), and I think that’s fine.
Of course Tim is going to have an issue with Lucy going undercover. He is apparently the only person in the universe that couldn’t see this coming. He needed to acknowledge it and he did. I don’t feel like he was made to look super wrong or had to grovel for forgiveness.
They are just two people in a relationship working through a really foundational issue.
I think they’ve seeded stuff for Lucy later in the season too, which is great if they actually follow up.
On to the other stuff…
Overall, I thought the Chenford stuff was fine? Cute. And very sweet. Also a little anticlimactic and underwhelming. For me, it feels like a lot of the time they are working down a checklist of things shippers want to see vs. telling an organic story for them, but it is what it is at this point.
As someone who loves spoilers, I do think they leaked way too much this time, and there wasn’t much else left to be surprised by in the episode. I think I would have been more pleasantly surprised with the Chenford content as a whole had they not spoiled so much.
All in all though, we got some fun visuals, cute moments, and I really enjoyed the scene with them fighting in front of Angela 😂. The scene with the lie detector bordered on giving us some actual heat for a good 3 seconds, so I’ll take that as a win too.
What did y’all think?

6x02: Hammering in on 'The Hammer'
My episode recap ...
The opening is so unhinged. A flashmob for Daddy Cop. Please be for real 😂
Next up is Chastity and STR. Chastity is beautiful. We'll get back to her.
~~~
We've come to the first Chenford scene.
Lucy: You got a minute to talk? Tim: Uh, sure. There's nothing to talk about. You felt I undermined you at a crime scene to stop you from making detective. I explained that I didn't. Now we're moving on. Okay. This is (presumably) the first time they've seen each other since he gave her ultimatums the night before, then left her alone in the parking lot. Lucy's trying to open up to him; she's trying to make amends with a clearer head. It's the mature thing to do. He leads her on with the affirmative "Uh, sure" and closes off completely. Tim is being really dismissive here.
Lucy: Well, while I appreciate the efficiency, that's not how actual healthy communication works. Tim: Wow, that's not condescending at all. Explain to me what there is to talk about that isn't just a retread of what I just efficiently covered?
Tim shut her down with the "Now we're moving on." And now Tim's rolling his eyes at her, looks annoyed the whole time he's talking to her, sounds annoyed, and meanwhile Lucy's talking to him calmly and trying to get him to open up. How is Lucy the one being condescending, Tim?
Lucy: Well...that's not the point. Look, if I have to start another deep undercover assignment, there are real issues here that we need to talk about. Tim (full of irritation and eye rolls): Which we will deal with if they come up then. I gotta get to work. Have a good shift.
Also Tim: Presses his body weight against the door so that it shuts in Lucy's face.
The point is to talk about the UC issues before Lucy goes UC. She didn't have much lead time prepping for her other UC ops. Tim is a total planner but he's so feelings-avoidant about this issue that he'd rather just stuff it down and let it go unresolved than process them with Lucy. Tim conveniently uses work as an excuse when it suits him. His body language, tone of voice, and door slam are not it. Lucy deserves much better treatment.
~~~
STR/Chastity/Lucy scene
Lucy's ruminating. She's going through her detective's exam in her head. She's in her predicament because she helped Tim in her 5 Player Trade. Meanwhile, the writers are like ... let's take her out of her concentration with a little zaniness.
~~~
Chenford/Angela scene
Okay, first of all, where did you come from, Eric Winter? You popped out of nowhere, not from underneath a doorframe, so were you leaning against that window ledge...? And now you are interjecting yourself into their conversation. What happened to "I gotta get to work. Have a good shift."?
It's on Tim for not telling Lucy that The Hammer is a 6'7" 300 pound guy who likes to fight cops. If he told her, she wouldn't have the resistant reaction she did. To echo Lucy: Well, while I appreciate the efficiency, that's not how actual healthy communication works.
Tim: Okay, do you want my help or not? Also Tim: Whateverrrrrr. And Tim: I knew you weren't gonna be able to let it go.
Well, that's not condescending at all, Tim. You slammed the door in her face that same morning and now you're telling her that she can't regulate her emotions. This is the kind of argument that should not have happened in front of Angela at all.
~~~
Chenford hallway scene
Lucy: Well, after you Tim: No, ladies first. Also Tim: Pushes Lucy towards danger.
And Tim: Guess you're gonna have to fight him.
So Tim tells Lucy he'll go with her to visit The Hammer. Then he doesn't give her the lowdown of how big The Hammer is. Now he pushes his girlfriend towards The Hammer and tells her she has to fight him. There is zero humor in Eric's delivery. And Mel's exasperated reaction is a tell that Lucy took his words seriously. Why is Tim doing this to Lucy?
Lucy's "are you okay?" is incredibly soft. She's so pure in heart.
~~~
Wedding prep scene
Tim: We're great when she's not accusing me of made-up transgressions. Lucy: Look, I'm not imagining things. Tim is traumatized by what happened with Isabel. He just won't admit it. Tim: Honestly, I think she's projecting or just using this as an excuse.
Tim is totally throwing shade at Lucy's character. Meanwhile Lucy's trying to help him by figuring out what's going on and getting to the heart of the issue. He's accusing her of falsifying, projection, and using him as a scapegoat because she doesn't want to go UC/Detective. Why are you talking so much crap about your girlfriend, Tim?
~~~
Let's analyze this Chastity/Lucy part for a moment. Chastity (to Lucy): Yeah, well, undercover work is kind of scary and dangerous. Maybe he's not the only one that's scared of what might happen.
The fact that I have to bring this up and highlight it means that network TV shows are not doing this nearly enough. And I haven't seen this mentioned in the fandom at all so I am going to, because it is important and needs to be acknowledged: this is a powerful interchange. What makes it different is that it's between two badass women of Asian descent on a network TV show that's marketed towards a general audience. And that's rare. Super rare.
Chastity barely knows Lucy and she clocked it. She validates Lucy's feelings about Tim while digging into Lucy's psyche and figuring out something about Lucy that Lucy in all her psych training, self help books, and being raised by two psychologists, couldn't. Tim who knows Lucy "too well" couldn't even clock it. Chastity could and did.
~~~
Chenford lie detector scene
Lucy: With a lie detector test? Tim: Yes!
Tim is so done with Lucy's questioning. But then he smiles right after his annoyed yes! This is Tim being able to convey nuance and his true emotions when he wants to. This wasn't there at all when he wanted Lucy to fight The Hammer. This needed to be there in that scene and for it to be nonexistent there tells me that he wanted her to fight The Hammer.
Lucy: Do you love me?
Tumblr media
Tim's internal monologue: What kind of question is that? Of course I love you. I've been in love with you. You have no idea how much I love you. The fact that you're asking me this while I'm hooked to a lie detector tells me that maybe I'm not saying these words enough to you or maybe I'm not showing you enough that I, Tim Bradford, love you, Lucy Chen.
Tumblr media
Also Tim's internal monologue: I've never been so sure of anything in my life.
Lucy: Do you want me to be an undercover detective? Tim: Yes. Lucy: You liar!
Clocked him, girly.
I do not think that this was their first I love you. Lucy's big question to Tim is the detective one. I do think that after their argument in the parking lot the night before, the ultimatums he gave her, and the way he treated her that morning, raised doubts in her mind.
gifs by @livelovecaliforniadreams
~~~
And then there's this scene. The first three seconds is the show taking advantage of Eric being a former model. It's just pure gratuitous panning (similar to when he adopted Kojo and was was walking down DTLA with him).
The lie detector test did nothing to resolve tensions between Chenford. If anything, I think Lucy was hurt by the truth, by Tim's treatment of her (dismissal, barking, shutting the door, denial, ultimatums), and by Tim's own projections of his prior relationship onto her. As soon as she catches his eye, she turns away. Well-positioned Lucy does not do that. Hurt Lucy does. Love that she has her new friend Chastity by her side. Even STR is more of a friend to her in that moment than Tim is.
~~~
The wedding ...
"Sit down, German! I got this!" Richard's pretty religious so I'm glad his character officiated.
~~~
The dance ...
I debated whether or not to split my analysis of the Chenford dance into its own post. I decided not to because I didn't want to dismiss the buildup, the angst, the importance of Chastity, and the lie detector that led to the dance. I also didn't want to take away from what Lucy and Tim went through as a couple by focusing just on the fluff.
(These gifs were made by @relentlessescapism)
Tumblr media
Lucy does not appear to be having a good time here. There's something painful about Lucy dancing by herself. Her head is dipped, she has on a smile that doesn't reach her eyes, and they convey hurt. I see here a childlike quality to Lucy - she's always the one that helps others pick up their broken pieces even though she's just as broken the inside. It reminds me of @poppypickle's fic with her OC Miles Santos teasing Lucy and telling her to 'go back to where she came from' (it’s an offensive remark to an Asian person) even as she defended her friend. Like she's being strong on the outside but on the inside she's deeply hurt by Tim.
Tumblr media
Clearly Lucy's being the bigger person here. Meanwhile Tim is all Mr. jaw clench and puffing his chest before he deflates. Is this a male ego thing? I dunno. Is it, Eric?
Tumblr media
Lucy still has the same hurt look in her eyes. But she's also like, so ready to set aside the pettiness. She's like get over here, you idiot.
It's a little odd how Lucy is written. Just before they encountered The Hammer, she apologized to Tim. And now as they're dancing, she's thanking Tim for acknowledging that her dreams should be separate from his issues (like yeah of course they should be). I think Tim should be the one apologizing to her.
Throughout the dance scene, it appears that he has one arm around her. Also, she initiates the kiss. She's initiated a few of their onscreen kisses. Even the second first date one, he waits for her to kiss him. Like, why do you have one arm around your girlfriend when you're slowdancing with her? It doesn't affect blocking at all.
Love the huge grin that he uses on her (right before Aaron interrupts them). It's the same one from that 5x12 scene.
The rest of their dance is just pure fluff. Lucy and Tim making amends. Her reassuring him that she loves him, that they'll get through this, is reminiscent of 5x10(?) when they acknowledged that the only way to move forward was if he moved out of her chain of command, that breaking up was not an option. The banter about the lie detector was very cute too. Clearly their issues are still unresolved, but in that moment they just needed to be a couple.
If you want to read my thoughts about the last few scenes, here they are: optics, grabbing coats, and a friend's post which summarizes things very nicely.

Hey! So, I know you probably haven't watched it yet, BUT: when you do, I must know your comprehensive thoughts on the latest Rookie episode!?!
ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE!!!
Okay, because I'm insane, I'm going to split this into two sections: not-chenford, and chenford.
SPOILERS FOR 6x02 UNDER THE CUT
First up, everything NOT-chenford-related:
Honestly they could have botched it, but it was SO FUN having Randy back for the wedding. "Sit down, German, I got this." i mean???? iconic. Also having him be literally in Pete's place and WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND? even more iconic. I'm a ride or die Randy fan, so all his scenes just made me unreasonably happy :)
it was understandably short, but I loved having Celina ride with Nyla, finally. It was kind of satisfying to see her get humbled in interrogation, because imo Nolan has been kind of lax with her training, letting her get away with things the other rookies would have been fired for. So it's nice that she'll spend some time away from him and with a *ahem* more experienced TO. hopefully. We'll see.
Ugh, my heart breaks for Aaron this season. Kid's traumatized for REAL. And his comment to Celina about not sharing things with the therapist because he wants to get back on patrol, not necessarily get better. That bothered me. I really hope they dig into that a lot. But I also hope nothing horrible happens because of it. He seemed so unstable, even when he wasn't drunk. I'm also very interested to see where this goes with his and Celina's friendship. Just a lot of good stuff that could be a really thoughtful and interesting story if handled right...
Aaaaand this episode confirms that I intensely dislike Bailey. Everything about her character is just trying too hard, like the writers were so tired of having Nolan date and break up a few times, they were like okay fine this one can stay, and even though they have chemistry readings in the negatives, they keep trying to push it even though it feels so wrong. I'd rather have Nolan be single the rest of the show than be in this stale cardboard relationship. But it's fine, they're not going to split them up now, so I'll have to deal with it lol
The whole thing with Oscar suing was SO rushed. Like, so insanely rushed I couldn't even be annoyed at him. I hope they bring him back and do it for real, because that was weird to kind of shoehorn in there just for dramatic effect.
EPIC COP TEAMUP IN SUITS AND TIES MY BELOVEDDDD. Seriously they all looked SO GOOD chasing down bad guys and beating people up. White dress shirts were truly the MVPs of this episode
Will Celina just. be wearing long sleeves the rest of her life? Seriously how long has she been a rookie already?? Most of Angela's pregnancy and maternity leave, so at least 10 months, if not more. Hell, she should be graduating from the program soon. The timeline in this show is absolute trash.
Speaking of-- Baby Wopez name drop when????? poor girl's been nameless for too long
James coming in clutch with the playlist was chef's kiss. I LOVE that man
ALSO JAMES AND WESLEY'S BROMANCE. "I went with a suit." "Me too. Mine has a tie." "Oh my god, same!" I CAN'T WITH THESE TWO. Probably my favorite bromance of anyone ever.
Finally, just in general-- I know some people were put off by how much stuff was jam-packed into 42 minutes (again. how???) but I think they pulled it off reasonably well. There was actually very good pacing, lots of comedy and angst and everything in between. I personally LOVED this episode and I think it deserves a few rewatches just to pick up on everything they threw at us. It has its flaws, but it will definitely be a 100th episode to remember, that's for sure.
AND NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.
Chenford thoughts :))))))
But first let me just get this out of the way real quick-- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHLSKDJFOAHGOIJWE;LKTH;SKLJD;LFKHAGLJKSDFA;HLGKJLSKJDKFJDKJFKDJFKJDKFJDKFJKD OH MY GOSHHHHHHHHHHHA;LKGHSJNBMNMCC HELP KJAEHKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGHGHGHGHGHGHGHG IM HYPERVENTILATING AHGHGHAHSHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
okay, anyway.
Here we go!
I'm just a little bit torn on how they decided to approach this. On the one hand, it was nice that they were still able to work together and talk without excessive drama. Although... Tim shutting the door on her did hurt. Yeah. That hurt a lot. But I had really hoped that they would acknowledge that Lucy was in the wrong last episode too. She was being completely unreasonable and like Tim said, she was projecting. But in this ep, it seemed like she was validated and he was the one being unreasonable. While his trauma with Isabel is something they desperately need to talk about (like Lucy said), she was also reacting too harshly to it and being unfair with her accusations. But honestly, it's okay. We still have 8 episodes to sort it out and it seems like they're very much on the right track. I'm hoping they have a really really really intense, tearful, honest, raw, cathartic conversation about the whole thing. Seems like that's the direction they're going, so I won't hold my breath but it is something that needs to happen.
ALL OF THEIR INTERACTIONS were just so. hnnggg. so chewy. so much going on. THE LOOKS DURING THE WEDDING. hang on I'll come back to that in a sec.
The scene with the Hammer was NEXT LEVEL. (Also fun that they named the episode after That Scene, specifically. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........) For some reason I immensely enjoyed watching Tim get thrown around like a rag doll. Not sure what that's about. Never seen that side of myself before.
THE FORESHADOWING. That on-one-knee thing was more than I thought they'd give us, and OMG I ATE IT UP. The little pause, where Lucy's breath kind of catches, and Tim just seems kind of oblivious. THAT'S CINEMA, BABEY.
Kind of insane about Tim just passing out like that. Poor man.
CELINA MENTIONING LUCY'S BACHELORETTE PARTY????? hello even more foreshadowing :))))
The scene cuts back and forth when Lucy is helping with the cake and Tim with the flowers??? THEY'RE TELEPATHIC SOULMATES DON'T TALK TO ME.
And the fact that the lie detector was RANDY'S IDEA? I'm shrieking. "Ein wenig crazy," is definitely something my adhd bilingual ass has said irl
oh my lord how CLOSE she scoots her chair?? i'm melting
I thought it was kind of a nice touch to have Tim be actually surprised by the lie detector picking up his answer to the last question being a lie. Because honestly.... now it makes a little more sense: he's been lying to himself. Which is kind of an angle I didn't see coming. "I guess we do have a problem," sounds to me like he literally hasn't been able to admit to himself that he doesn't want Lucy undercover. Of course he wants her to make detective, that's not a question. Detective doesn't equal undercover. But he's been telling himself probably since day one that he's fine with it, that she's not Isabel, that he has nothing to worry about . . . and now he's finally seeing that he really is terrified. Something she's seen in him all along. And while their argument last episode was about more than just this (I still believe she was in the wrong for projecting so hard and making crazy assumptions about him), I think I can see where the writers were going with it.
THE I LOVE YOUS D E S T R O Y E D ME
Okay, back to the Looks at the wedding. Tim being all 🧍and scanning the crowd for his girl . . . Lucy delivering the Heart Eyes of the century . . . Them still sitting together because even though they're fighting, they're still each other's person, and nothing can change that . . . I'm going into cardiac arrest.
In my book, "We're gonna get through this" is a nice breath of fresh air and a bit of relief, but it doesn't mean they've worked everything out. Again, they need a good solid conversation. One that this episode was never going to give us, sadly. But it'll come!
ALSOOOO that moment when Aaron interrupts them and we see Tim's hand around her waist, I just OOF i need a moment
I AM NEVER GONNA BE NORMAL ABOUT THIS EPISODE. the foreshadowing, the parallels, the pining, the dancing, the fighting, the emotions, EVERYTHING. It was not perfect but it was WONDERFUL. 10000/10, I need to watch all their scenes about five million more times.
AND THERE WE HAVE IT. I'll definitely be posting more thoughts soon, but that's where I'm at for now. Basically I think they set the groundwork for a really solid, healthy relationship going forward. I LOVED their moments in this ep, absolutely top tier. The ANGST. I am eating up every second of it.
2 episodes down, 8 to go!!!

Which episode(s) would you most like b7 and/or kiradax to get together in? I'm just curious where in the timeline you would want it to happen :) hope you feel better!
Thank you!! And this is an interesting question because I have very definite thoughts for both relationships
one of my answers is ‘actually, they never do’—the first Trek fic I ever wrote dealt with exact scenario for Kira and Jadzia, and other favorite stories of mine have the same approach. I love it when feelings and attraction are left unfulfilled, living on inside both people for a much longer time because they were never expressed. This is obviously made worse by Jadzia dying and her memories still living on in Ezri. If there ever was a representation of 'what could've been', I think it's every one of the conversations that Kira and Ezri have in season 7. I think a very similar approach could be very juicy for Seven and B'Elanna as well—they live in each other's heads a lot even on the show, and if you interpret their strange rivalry as feelings neither of them can articulate, not even to themselves, and consider where Seven is twenty years later... I think they might still live in each other's heads, as the kind of rapport you'd almost forgotten about but you remember suddenly at 2am and you can't sleep any longer while you ask yourself ‘I still don't know what all that was about’ and ‘I wonder where she is now’ and the idea of meeting her again makes your heartrate spike and cringe at the same time, because what would you even say after so long, and when you weren't able to talk even when you were lost at sea? (I believe @avoicefromthestars is the biggest proponent of this approach for B7)
another answer could be ‘they get together post-canon, reconnecting after years’, which is something I'm now particularly fond of when it comes to B'Elanna and Seven. I hinted at how it could happen on “Best Left” but I definitely want to write a prequel of the fic where the circumstances in which they meet again are the main focus, I already have a plot in mind. I also used to be very fond of this approach with Kira and Ezri but an actual fic about this never really panned out.
finally, if they got together in the shows... I'm very fond of the time-skip between DS9 s3 and s4 for Kira and Jadzia to get together. Like obviously it could happen also at other times during season 4, or even earlier in the show, but to me it makes more sense if it happens after Bareil is gone but before Worf arrives on the station. I think it would be perfect also because after “Facets” Jadzia has confronted a little of her self-doubt as well as, I think, any hesitance she might've had about approaching Kira. Also I think seeing Kira embody Lela Dax might really flip a switch in Jadzia's head, in a ‘it's time to take a leap’ way. After Worf gets on the show though... I now can see them getting together only as a throuple with Worf. Obviously I won't say no to fic/headcanons that take a different route, but that's what I think now.
As for Seven and B'Elanna, pretty much all the fic I wrote for them where they get together on Voyager's timeline is set midway through season 6, for the very simple reason that I believe both 6x02 “Survival Instinct” and 6x03 “Barge of the Dead” represent watershed moments for both of them and their understanding of themselves, and that's also when their rapport thaws rather significantly and without major regressions. It's more difficult to have a precise timeline on Voyager because of the syndicated nature of the show, but I also like the idea of B'Elanna by that point (especially after “Alice”) having had enough of Tom's shenanigans and them splitting up as a consequence. I realize this stretches canon a bit—season 7 definitely contends that Seven hasn't seriously thought about a romantic partner before finding out about a relationship she apparently had with Axum but can't really remember. I am still fond of the season 6 timeline regardless.

in every life we have some trouble
6x02 coda // tw abstract mentions of suicidal ideation
buck sits in his jeep in the station parking lot for a long time. he can’t seem to decide where he should go—except it doesn’t matter, because he can’t even make himself start the car.
he sits behind the wheel with the key in his hand and waits, sits and stares unseeing out of the windshield as the sun climbs higher in the sky and the air in the jeep grows thicker, hotter, coalescing into a lump deep in his throat. he sits there until he can’t breathe, and then he opens the door to let some fresh air in and sits there some more.
he could go to the diner on alvarado. he could go home, to eddie’s house, to maddie and chimney’s; he could just start driving and never stop. but none of the options feel right, so he sits in the jeep and listens as the alarm goes off and B-shift rushes off to calls and he tries not to think about lev.
lev, who’d come searching for answers only to end up some kind of cosmic punchline. lev, who’d spent his whole life chasing something only to find it with his very last breath.
lev, who’d bled out into a shirt the same colour as the one buck’s wearing now. he wants to tear it off, wants to rip it to shreds and light it on fire so he doesn’t have to look at the pale blue and imagine the slow seep of crimson blood, but it’s the only shirt he has.
buck used to believe in the universe—the kind of universe that had grand plans, that screamed at people until they saw the light and snatched children from the grasp of tsunamis and brought people back from the brink when death seemed unavoidable, heralded by shafts of rebar and collapsed well shafts and rounds from the barrel of a sniper rifle.
but the universe is a cruel, capricious thing, he’s learning. the universe will let a man spend forty years working towards happiness only to bring a building down on him at the finish line. the universe doesn’t give a shit, he’s pretty sure. the universe lets things slip through the cracks, and buck—
buck is starting to wonder whether he’s slipping through the cracks, too.
maybe he’s just an unchecked box on a cosmic to-do list somewhere, one that got torn off the corner of a page or crumpled in a pocket until it’s no longer legible. maybe he’s the nagging feeling the universe gets in moments of silence, like it knows it’s forgotten something but can’t quite seem to grasp what.
he doesn’t think he’s asking for much. all he wants is to settle comfortably into his skin, to carve out a place in the world where he knows he belongs. all he wants is for it to stick, for once, instead of being worn away under the currents of time until he’s once again left empty-handed and batted about by the waves.
only—lev had all that, and still bled to death on the floor of a happiness convention looking for some kind of answer. an answer he only found as his last breaths slipped out of his lungs, so—what’s the point?
why bother to try at all?
buck’s not sure what not trying looks like, but it must be easier than this. easier than a life that feels like he’s flinging himself into waist-high waves day after day, struggling to stay afloat, then doing it all again the next day even though he knows the waves are never going to settle. because it’s what’s expected of him. because someone told him once that if he makes it through the waves there’s calm waters ahead. because he doesn’t know what it looks like to stop trying.
to just… let the waves take him. drift off, rather than try to maintain the course at all costs in hopes of finding the treasure buried at the end, x marks the spot.
it sounds peaceful, he thinks. easier. to stop trying so hard when it never leads anywhere anyway. if a lifetime of living just how he was supposed to didn’t make lev happy, then—what’s the point?
buck lets his head drop back against the seat and stares at the seal between the roof and the windshield. his phone buzzes with a text, but he doesn’t fish it out of the cup holder, not even to see who it is.
moments pass, or maybe minutes. there’s another text, and when he doesn’t answer that one either his phone starts buzzing more insistently, a call this time. he lets it ring out once, but it starts again immediately.
buck picks up the phone.
“hey.” eddie’s voice is soft, careful, and somehow the very sound of it makes buck want to cry. like eddie’s voice is the lump in his throat, is the pricking at the backs of his eyes as his tear ducts start to rebel.
buck doesn’t say anything, because he doesn’t know if he can.
he knows eddie had seen his face as they’d left the locker room. he knows eddie had heard his brush off for exactly what it is, that eddie knows lev’s death had hit him hard. but eddie doesn’t ask if he’s okay. he doesn’t ask how buck’s doing, doesn’t ask anything that buck would have to lie to answer.
instead, eddie says, “so, chris is working on a project about the titanic. want to come over and help?”
“i—” buck starts, swallowing, and eddie huffs.
“and don’t try and tell me you don’t know about the titanic,” he says. “when we watched it you spent half the time correcting all the historical inaccuracies.”
buck manages a laugh at that. “i did, didn’t i?”
“so you’ll come?” eddie asks, and at his words buck finds it just a little easier to breathe. finds himself just a little steadier, like eddie’s thrown him a life preserver to help navigate the waves.
“yeah,” buck murmurs. “can’t disappoint my favourite diaz.”
eddie laughs, warm and rich even through the phone. “i’ll tell chris you said that, he’ll lord it over me for weeks,” he says. “see you soon?”
“yeah,” buck says, buoyed on a wave that carries him to shore. “soon.”

When you start to notice that there have been red flags all over the place this season (and some sort of red flags that are not actual flags!)
hard to see in this pic - but in 6x01 - in the stand there are a bunch of red flags being waved!!
Tumblr media
Lots of red flags at the touch a car win a car competition also in 6x01!
Tumblr media
6x02 gave us these very loud red flags
Tumblr media
and then there is the red flags on the beach at the end of 6x07
Tumblr media
Not red flags, but red flag adjacent are these - the red chopping board in Eddies kitchen
Tumblr media
the red and white striped towel next to Buck at Hen's
Tumblr media
and the red umbrella on Bucks balcony - very much drawing the eye in the centre of shot (there is also a red chopping board next to the sink!)

buckleys, am i right? rated: G | wc: 1.5k
what eddie and chim talk about when they go to the diner after 6x02
also on ao3
Eddie and Chimney don’t spend a lot of time just the two of them. Not for any particular reason, but Chimney usually spends his downtime with Maddie or Hen, and Eddie does his best to keep his heart from crawling into his throat every time he’s away from Buck.
But Hen’s been in a weird space with her finals, barely enough energy to stand without swaying, and Buck’s reeling from the loss on the scene, so Eddie and Chimney get a table for two at Larry’s Diner and try to ignore the awkward stillness.
The waitress comes by, a small girl with blue glasses and a chirpy demeanor. Eddie gets eggs and bacon, sunny side up and the strips extra crispy.
Chimney, because he is who he is, gets a large stack of pancakes.
They’ve been to this diner a few times, usually with more people. Typically, Eddie’s fondly smacking Buck’s hand away when he tries to steal Eddie’s bacon, despite having some still on his plate. Hen and Chim have their silent eyebrow conversations, which usually ends in Hen rolling her eyes and giving Chimney a slice of her french toast.
At least he asks. Even if he does it silently.
“So,” Chim starts, folding his hands on the top of the table. “We don’t really do this,” he points out with a tilt of his head.
Eddie chuckles, leaning back in his seat, mug of coffee in one hand. “No, not really.”
“Is it weird?”
Eddie considers it for a moment.
In a way, it sort of is. Eddie’s seen Chim at some of his lowest moments, and Chim might not have been in the room while Eddie desperately clutched a baseball bat between his white-knuckled fists, but he knows. He’s the heart of their station, of course he knows, but it’s one thing to have Chim rush over to him after a well collapses on top of him, and it’s another to make easy conversation over breakfast.
Though, in another way, it really isn’t.
“It doesn’t have to be,” Eddie settles on, taking a sip of his coffee. “How’s Jee-Yun?” he asks, because kids are safe. Eddie could talk about Christopher for days on end, and he knows Chim can do the same for his daughter.
Predictably, he lights up, adjusting himself in his seat.
“She’s great. I mean, she’s so big now, it’s kind of crazy. It feels like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time, and now she can say words and walk and—man, it’s probably the best and worst feeling in the world at the same time.”
Eddie shakes his head, smiling down at the table before meeting Chimney’s eyes.
He gets it. Gets it down to the bone, down to the blood in his veins. Christopher is eleven and six and a newborn, and it’s scary. It’s scary, but it’s the best thing he’s ever done. The only thing that matters.
The only thing that even comes close is loving Buck.
Not that they’re ready for that, but Eddie knows they will be. Buck went from hating him to being his best friend in the space between a breath, but it’s easy to trust a friendship. Your entire heart isn’t sitting on a platter, you’re not giving anyone ammunition to put another bullet through your shoulder.
But, god, it’ll be worth it. When they get there—because it’s a when, not an if, Eddie’s sure of that much—it’ll be the low simmer of homemade caramel, it’ll be the quiet sizzle of butter on a hot pan, and it’s a good thing they’re at breakfast, because Eddie’s clearly only thinking about food.
“I get it, man. I wasn’t there for a lot of Christopher’s early milestones, but I remember the day he was born. The sterile smell of the hospital, the harsh lights—you don’t forget it.”
Chimney laughs, their conversation pausing so their waitress can drop off their food.
“I don’t want to forget it, honestly,” Chimney says, picking up right where they left off. “She’s growing up so fast, the thought of forgetting any of it feels like a punch to the gut.”
“It does. I wasn’t there, but I still remember Christopher’s smiling face on the other side of the screen. He was so small…sometimes I can’t believe I wasn’t there, but I gotta remember I’m lucky I get to be here now.”
“You should talk to Maddie. That was almost freaky, that’s basically exactly how she feels about her PPD.”
Eddie doesn’t know what to say to that, if he’s being honest. He knows Maddie because he knows Buck, and her impact is in everything he does. He loves her for that, has considered sending her a gift basket for raising Buck to be the person he is on more than one occasion.
But he doesn’t know Maddie.
He doesn’t think he’d mind it, though.
“Honestly? That might be nice.”
Chimney's smile is a little shocked, clearly not expecting the answer.
“Really? That’s awesome, man, I’ll let her know.”
“How is Maddie, by the way?”
The glint in Chimney’s eyes is dangerous and all too knowing. He takes a bite of his pancakes, moaning far too loud for a public setting at the maple syrup.
He doesn’t bother swallowing before he asks, because when does Chimney ever?
“How’s Buck?”
Eddie splutters, and feels his face turning bright red. He’d blend in with the ladder truck if they were back at the station. He takes a bite of his eggs to distract from the way Chim’s eyebrows keep climbing.
“No way,” he says, fork clattering against the plate. Chimney laughs incredulously. Eddie sits frozen, unsure of how to react. “I didn’t think—”
“Buck’s good,” Eddie interrupts. “He, uh, he’s helping Chris with an art assignment, so my house is currently littered with art supplies. And–and he’s been trying to cook more elaborate dinners, which. Is really nice, actually. He made Bobby’s lasagna a little while ago, and it was, y’know. Good.”
“That lasagna takes hours.”
“Chris and I helped,” he says sheepishly.
Eddie doesn’t think he’s ever seen Chim look so bright eyed and mischievous in his life.
“I mean—I thought, y’know? Because Buck only talks about you and Chris when he comes over for dinner, and Maddie’s been suspicious for a while, but he’s never been anything but straight.” Chim takes a bit of his food. “Or, at least, that we know of. Is he?”
“Um, we haven’t talked about it? And I wouldn’t out him, either, but I think so? I hope so, at least.”
“But you are. Not straight, I mean. Because you’re in love with him.”
And it’s not like Eddie could deny it if he tried.
And trust him, he’s tried.
“Yeah,” he breathes out, tilting his head back. The lighting in Larry’s is warm and soft, but the morning sun shines bright through the window, and Eddie has to blink away little black spots in his vision when he turns back to Chim.
“Buckleys, am I right?” Chimney offers when it’s clear Eddie’s at a loss for what to say. He hasn’t admitted it out to anyone, but it feels right to admit it to Chim.
“God, you really are. Something about them.”
Chimney points a syrup covered fork at him. “Don’t go getting any ideas, though. Maddie’s mine.” “I have my own Buckley, thanks.”
Chimney hums. “You sound pretty sure about that.”
Eddie is. He and Buck were doomed, destined, fated to fall in love from the start. There was a lifetime of obstacles, but Eddie’s at the fucking finish line, and he can see Buck coming up just behind him.
They’ll get their happy ending. Eddie’s not doubting that.
“I am. I mean, he’s already basically Christopher’s second parent.”
Realization dawns on Chimney’s face.
“You baby trapped him,” he says, his laughter bordering on a cackle.
Eddie laughs, too, floaty and bubbly and so happy to be able to have this conversation out loud.
“Not on purpose? One day he was my best friend, the next day I was falling in love with him and making him my son’s other father.”
“Therapy’s really working for you, man. That was more honesty and vulnerability than I think I know what to do with. Especially from you.”
He grins, smiling down at his plate.
“Yeah, well.”
“You know,” Chim starts, looking at him pointedly. “Someone once told me tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, and if you love someone you should tell them.”
“Didn’t I say that?”
Chimney shrugs, “Someone’s gotta give you your own advice.”
Eddie rolls his eyes with a smile, finishing the coffee.
Soon, he figures, thinking of inviting Buck over later so they can watch a movie to get his mind off the call. Thinks of Buck smiling in Eddie’s kitchen, beer bottle pressed against his lips. Thinks of Buck’s shoulder brushing against his as they cook, the look on his face when Chris gives him a hug like he hasn’t been his parent for years.
Yeah. Soon.

I am back asking your analysis on upstead scenes. Hehehe
This time - 6x10 one of the last scenes where the first time Hailey and Jay go - we are okay, and we will always be ok.
Why do you think Hailey was in a way apologizing to Jay about being caught about her relationship with Ruzek? It feels like she knew she had feelings and so did he and idk, it's where I keep thinking is it that or is it because in the episodes before she says i don't date people in the unit.
What are your thoughts?
I'm not sure if her apologizing to Jay was so much about having feelings for each other as much as it was about the partnership they had built at that point. I'm not saying there weren't feelings, and the feelings and the partnership are definitely intermixed. I think 6x02 was the episode where Hailey realized she saw him as more, and she promptly shoved it down. I also think that's what the "I don't date people I work with" thing was about. She could date Adam because it would never be deep, but letting herself admit feelings and date Jay was a lot scarier, so she hid behind a weak rationale.
Anyway, when she apologized, I think there were definite feelings in the mix, but moreso because they were partners who trusted each other with everything else, but she didn't tell him this. All of it hurt him, even when he assured her that she didn't need to tell him. It's a great scene! Through the bad and the messy situations, they find a way to be good.

I feel like they've spoiled 6x02, the confession and kiss clips. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. What do you think? 🙁💕
We still have no idea what led to her asking that. As for the kiss when they are dancing, Tim is supposed to open up to Lucy and in my head that’s when she will tell him she loves him. There’s a lot going on in 6x02 and the ily confession video probably wasn’t supposed to be posted until this week.
I was upset at first but I know there’s so much more that’s happening so now I’m excited!!
