word count: 2,921
pairing: tsukishima kei x fem!reader
a/n: now forgive me, but I may have made Tsukishima a bit softer in this fic than I usually do because I am in love with the idea of him going just a bit soft for you lol. Anyways, this was written for @lostcoves‘ summertime madness collab event! Added some Insta SMAU pics as well! EDIT: sorry if you read the original version - i changed some of the formatting of the pics and added this cute gif of some strawberries to set the mood :) (gif is not mine - creds to the original creator!)

"Alright, now listen up!” Daichi called the team over after practice one day, hands on his hips as he announced with a grin, “The teams that we had our summer camps with are having a summer picnic next week! Our team will be leaving together and coming back later that evening. Bring some snacks or something else to contribute!”
Tsukishima sighed a little, rolling his eyes as Hinata starting yelling about how excited he was. They literally just finished the summer training camp - was there really a need to see everyone so soon? He wondered to himself if he could get out of it... maybe he could just not attend-
“And yes, your attendance is mandatory,” Daichi added, shooting a grin to Tsukishima, as if reading his mind. The blond first year groaned a little - he could barely handle this team, let alone everyone else he had to deal with in the summer camp.
“It’s just for the day,” Yamaguchi offered with a smile. “And since it’s not just about volleyball, maybe you could bring Y/N along.”
“Shut up, Yamaguchi,” Tsukishima shot his best friend a glare and for a moment, he thought his nosy teammates hadn’t overheard his girlfriend’s name. But soon their eyes all started to turn over to the two of them and he sighed, wishing they had never found out about you in the first place.
“Sorry Tsukki,” Yamaguchi laughed a little, though Tsukishima wondered if he was really sorry if he had planned it.
“Yamaguchi’s right! What fun is a picnic if you can’t enjoy it with your girlfriend?” Sugawara grinned, patting his hand hard on Tsukishima’s back making him almost fall over. “We have to meet her eventually!”
Everyone was suddenly talking about Tsukishima’s relationship, all looking up at him with wide eager eyes in hopes he’ll say yes and bring you. It wasn’t that they didn’t know who you were, they’d seen you at their games cheering them on, but they had never been formally introduced since Tsukishima insisted that it was none of their business.
“Ya know they’ll keep bugging you until you bring her around,” Asahi warned him with an empathetic smile.
“Of course we will! I don’t see what’s the use in hiding a pretty girl you’re seeing, Tsukishima,” Tanaka grinned.
“Yeah, we just want to get to know her. And hear about what you’re like in a relationship. You’re a big ol’ softie with the ladies aren’t you, Tsukishima?” Noya teased with a grin.
Tsukishima just sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, “I’ll think about it,” was all he said, ignoring everything else that was being said about him. He already knew he didn’t want to bring you so there really wasn’t much to think about. He really just didn’t want to bring you into such an annoying group where every other question about be about your private life and what he was like out of volleyball.
But just like the annoying idiots they were, Tsukishima should’ve expected that they weren’t going to let him get away with hiding you away forever.
“Um, Tsukki?” you giggled, staring at your phone. Your eyes glanced over the chat name at the top of your screen, and list of members involved before looking over at him with a wide grin.
“No more memes, Y/N, you’re supposed to be studying,” He pointed out, not even taking his eyes off of the booklet in front of him as he wrote down an answer to a homework question. The two of you were sprawled out on the floor of your bedroom with homework and assignments laid around everywhere. Tsukishima sat up with his back against your bed, scribbling answers on his lap.
“Mm yeah but homework is boring and can always be done later,” you insisted, noting him refusing to look up from his work. “Tsukkiiiiii,” you laughed, pushing yourself between him and his homework with a grin on your face.
“You’re being a bother,” he rolled his eyes, flicking you in the head. “I knew studying with you was a bad idea.”
“We always study together! Besides, you love me, shut up.”
“Yeah well that’s how I know your stupid is running off on me,” he stated bluntly, even if his lips were curling into a smile because your smile was just so goddamn infectious and he couldn’t stop smiling in front of you. He pulled his book away from you, shuffling to turn away from you and focus on his work.
“Fine fine. I just thought you’d like to know that your volleyball teammates just messaged me and asked me to come to a picnic,” you explained casually, turning back to your phone with a shit-eating grin, knowing he was slowly turning to look at you with wide eyes.
“They did what?” Tsukishima darted across your bedroom floor, trying to wiggle your phone from your fingers as you started to protest.
“Hey! It’s my phone!” You whined with a laugh as Tsukishima shoved you on the floor in an attempt to gain leverage on you.
“Lemme see,” he insisted, having to resort to tickling your sides to snatch your phone away (though you could tell by the smug look on his face that he was enjoying your ticklish torture).
“Hey! you pouted as your giggles left your lips. “You play dirty, Tsukishima.”
“That’s why you love me isn’t it?” He teased with a smirk before turning to your phone to see a group chat made up of his volleyball teammates and you on your instagram.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukishima sighed as he practically threw your phone away after insulting the King, “You really don’t have to go because they pressured you in a group chat you know,” he pointed out to you as he leaned against a nearby wall.
You smiled and shrugged, climbing onto his lap and ruffling up his hair slightly, “Is it really such a bad idea for me to come meet the people you hang out with all the time?”
“It’s not like I hang out with them by choice,” Tsukishima mumbled, holding one of your hands and playing with your fingers. “And you already hang out with Yamaguchi and me.”
“I mean, you chose to join the volleyball team,” you pointed out. “And Yamaguchi doesn’t count, you two have been friends for forever.”
“I only joined because I didn’t realize how stupid the other first years would be,” he sighed and leaned his head back, staring up at the ceiling.
“I won’t come if you really don’t want me to, Tsukki,” you offered softly, knowing he tended to like his space.
“No, it’s okay. Might as well introduce you so they stop annoying me about it. I just don’t want you to feel like you have to come,” he explained, reaching up and touching your cheek gently. You smiled and the two of you curled up into some cuddles, your homework left discarded as he thought about how he was going to balance all of this the day of the picnic.
On one hand, Tsukishima had become a lot more affectionate with you after months of him acting like you were just anyone else. He liked having you around and his defenses weren’t so high up when you were there. He didn’t even mind holding your hand or smiling with you when Yamaguchi was around.
But the others... it would be nonstop teasing. Especially with the Nekoma and Fukurodani boys. He could already hear Bokuto and Kuroo snickering to him about being a good boyfriend and being their extravagant dumbass selves.
His dread for this picnic didn’t let up until the actual day of the event when he saw you waiting for him in your cutest outfit (though Tsukishima always thought anything you wore was cute), holding a container of freshly cut fruit... It was then he started to think maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as he thought.
“You didn’t have to bring anything,” he told you as you two made your way to the school to meet up with the others.
“Well I figured it would be bad manners to not bring anything,” you smiled, looking up at the clear sunny sky. “Plus, I brought strawberries, your favourite! Even if you don’t eat a lot at the picnic, at least you’ll eat the strawberries with me right?”
He nodded and draped an arm around you, kissing your cheek gently as if trying to be more affectionate before you had to deal with his team and others. He held your hand a little tighter as you met the team officially, silently glad that they had asked you to come because having you around meant he had someone else to feel comfortable with.
The whole ride to Tokyo was a headache to say the least. Tsukishima had left his headphones at home, wanting to be more present for you at least while you were trying to get to know everyone. But at some point, you must’ve seen how distraught he was and pulled out some earbuds from your pocket.
“Wanna listen with me?” You asked with a smile and he just nodded, the two of you sharing the earbuds and listening to whatever music Tsukishima had on his phone. You continued to laugh and get to know the boys on your train ride to Tokyo, interlacing your fingers with Tsukishima’s as he sank into his introverted mind.
When you all got to the space that was going to be used for this picnic, all the other teams greeted you with huge smiles and playful words to Tsukishima.
“Who knew Skinny Jeans had game?” Kuroo laughed, poking at Tsukishima’s side.
“You know, we taught him practically everything he knows about volleyball,” Bokuto grinned with his hands on his hips. You laughed as Tsukishima just rolled his eyes, giving some flat answers to any questions they had before dragging you to some shade under a nearby tree so you wouldn’t get too warm too fast.
You watched as they all worked together to set things up, Hinata and Kageyama arguing over who could carry the most chairs and set them up the fastest.
“Did you want to set up that fruit somewhere, Y/N?” Kiyoko asked you with a smile and you nodded, following her and Yachi to one of the tables that Yaku and Lev had finished setting up.
“That was exhausting,” Lev groaned, shaking his head. “It’s too hot.”
“Stop being a baby or I’ll make you run laps,” Yaku huffed, shaking his head in disappointment.
“W-What?! But it’s our day off!” Lev whined but quickly snuck away from Yaku to avoid any sort of punishment.
Tsukishima and Yamaguchi caught up with some of the other teams near you, but your boyfriend’s eyes always seemed to glance over at you, as if making sure you weren’t feeling uncomfortable.
You uncovered the fruit platter you had brought, grinning to yourself at just how delicious it all looked sitting there. You glanced in Tsukishima’s direction, smiling as you poked one of the strawberries with a fork and held it up towards him, “Do you want one, Tsukki?” You asked, knowing he probably didn’t eat much for breakfast this morning.
Tsukishima felt his cheeks burn in embarrassment - you were so adorable standing there in the sun and he wanted nothing more than to eat the fruit you were offering, but he could hear his upperclassmen and the other team members snicker behind him, watching eagerly. They had been waiting for some cute couple interaction all day and Tsukishima hated every moment of it.
“I’m fine,” he mumbled, giving you a small smile so you wouldn’t think he was mad.
You nodded, knowing your boyfriend didn’t always have the biggest appetite, about to eat the red fruit yourself when Hinata yelled out, “OH! ME! I WANT THE STRAWBERRY! CAN I HAVE SOME, Y/N?” He begged, struggling with the chairs he was still carrying but rushing over to your side as he gaped at the fruit.
You laughed and nodded, offering him the fork but when you noticed how difficult of a time he was having with the chairs, you pressed it against his lips gently, “Eat up!” You smiled at him, watching him eagerly take the strawberry and munch it down.
“Man! I love strawberries so much! This is the best time of year for them too!” Hinata told you excitedly as he swallowed it down. “Thank you!” He screamed as he ran over to where other chairs were being sat up, grinning as wide as possible.
Tsukshima frowned tightly, watching as the two of you got along much too well for his liking. He waited for you to pick up another strawberry before whisking your wrist away from your own lips and to his, catching your gaze as he plucked the strawberry off your fork with his teeth and into his mouth.
You stared at him in a daze - Tsukishima could have such a commanding look on his face sometimes and it always threw you off. There was a flash of that somewhat dominant, somewhat playful look on his face that you often noted on him after an intense makeout session.
His demeanour shifted slightly as he heard his upperclassmen hoot and holler behind him, his ears turning slightly pink in response. He sighed a little, tapping your nose gently, “Don’t go feeding them like that, okay?” He told you quietly, “Only me.”
You couldn’t help but smirk a little, giggling as you nodded, “Sure sure. Who knew you could get so jealous,” you teased him in a whisper, offering him another piece of the red fruit. “One more then. I know you haven’t eaten much today.”
Tsukishima hesitated but finally accepted the food as you fed him, feeling like it would be unacceptably rude of him not to after all that. As much as his ears were burning in embarrassment, he finally took the fork from you and held one up to your lips this time.
“Open,” he murmured and you complied, smiling up at him as you licked the taste from your lips.
“Thank you,” you giggled, tapping his nose lovingly.
“So, the secret to getting Tsukishima Kei to eat is having Y/N around to feed him huh?” Sugawara laughed, leaning his elbow on Daichi’s shoulders as they watched next to the Fukurodani and Nekoma captains.
“They really are cute,” Asahi noted with a smile. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tsukishima smile like that before. Or at all.”
“He only really smiles when Y/N’s around,” Yamaguchi laughed, familiar to watching you two interact but finding it amusing that Tsukishima wasn’t holding back with everyone watching. “He is such a big softie for her.”
“I wish I had a cute girlfriend to feed me things!” Tanaka whined.
“Me too!” Noya whimpered, both of their eyes immediately falling on their volleyball club’s manager who was currently setting up plates.
“I’m not feeding either of you,” Kiyoko stated simply, not even bothering to look up from her task.
“Kiyoko’s just so pretty when she rejects us,” Tanaka and Noya sang together, smiles spread across their faces.
The rest of the day went by similarly - once the food was all set out, everyone dug in and it was delicious to say the least. You shared a plate with Tsukishima, making him eat at least a little of everything and even bringing him a bigger piece of the strawberry shortcake that someone had brought (he was very pleased with this). Poor Tsukishima seemed to kept getting teased by other volleyball players, especially when they saw you two doing anything together. Some of the upperclassmen even took it upon themselves to insist to him that he better treat you right or they’d hurt him.
“I don’t think Tsukishima’s ever treated me badly,” you asserted with a smile, hugging Tsukishima’s arm to you. “Don’t worry, I’m in good hands.”
As much as Tsukishima hadn’t originally wanted you to have to deal with all of the boys, he smiled slightly to himself realizing you were just better at handling them than he was.
As the food quickly disappeared, Tsukishima found a few minutes to pull you behind a tree and press a kiss that tasted like fresh fruit against your lips, holding your chin in his hand.
“I love you, Y/N,” he whispered to you, brushing hair from your eyes. “Thanks for coming with me.”
“I love you too, Tsukishima,” you watched him with a smile, nodding a little, “I wouldn’t miss an opportunity to be with you for anything.”
The blond tried to sneak another kiss, a little desperate for that taste of strawberry on your lips, but was ultimately interrupted by Bokuto yelling for him to come and block for him with an outdoor net they had set up.
“It never ends,” he groaned in response, wondering if you two could just stay hidden for a little longer.
“Oh go on, you can save all those kisses for later,” you teased, pecking his lips gently before pulling him out with you from behind the tree. “Besides, I like watching you play though. It’s very attractive,” you admitted casually as the two of you walked over to where the others were waiting.
Tsukishima glanced at you with a hint of surprise before shrugging to himself. Fine, just for you, Y/N, he thought to himself as he made his way to the boys. Just for you, I’ll try. You and those strawberry stained lips.

Telling Tenya Iida to take care of himself. Tenya Iida x Gender Neutral, Best Friend Reader.
(authors note: this is my first full length fic in...a while. motivation hit me like a brick and I decided I'd churn something out! this fic is dedicated to a few special friends: @classreptenyaiida, for the interactions I've had with him, @yarozu for being such a great fan and supporter!! @lostcoves for being my first friend on this platform and for being so so kind to me, @uwu-iwanttodie because god I know you're a sucker for tenya just like i am, and @tryingmyves for sticking around and being a wonderful person!! there's also one more special person this fic is dedicated to but I don't know their tumblr url and if they wish to be named LOL // but yes anyway, enjoy! i hope you like this, feel free to send me any feedback, rts and follows appreciated!!!)
warnings: none! all fluff. good for everyone.
Tenya Iida and (f/n l/n). The both of you were inseparable, friends since childhood, in the same class throughout elementary and middle school. You were overjoyed to hear that you’d be in the same class with him again in UA, brimming with excitement to be able to stick by his side for longer. Of course, you had a crush on him ever since you could remember...but you were really too scared, terrified, really, to confess to him- in fear of ruining your 15 years of friendship.
Out of all people, you were the person who knew how determined Tenya was to not only reach, but exceed his goals and aspirations. You knew how much he wanted to satisfy the people around him and meet their expectations. You didn’t exactly understand why he did it, but you knew how driven he was, and how he’d do anything within the law and the rules to get there. And he rarely failed. Tenya was a great inspiration in your life, encouraging you to do better, while growing together. In a way, he influenced you to work hard, train harder and to do your hardest. The both of you became a force to be reckoned with; your parents and Tenya’s parents realised this, and hoped you’d do great things as heroes in the future, allowing you to spend weekends and holidays together.
Throughout your first term, Tenya enthusiastically took up the role as representative of Class 1-A with pride. He’d come to you for feedback for his ideas, always asking your opinion before proceeding, and you’d be his biggest cheerleader. You improved ideas he delivered, making sure small details were tweaked, and ensured logistics ran smoothly. Whenever Tenya needed help, you were the first he’d go to. Tenya presumed the role of a figure of strength within Class 1-A, readily assisting people in need, hosting study groups after school, and going the extra mile to make sure everyone was...more or less, in line. His work towards being a ‘good hero’ started here, and it wouldn’t stop until his last breath. As an Iida, he worked daily to strengthen his reputation as a helpful, strong figure...no, a reputation as a hero.
But inside, you knew Tenya was tired. He was slowly burning himself out. He didn’t need a savior, but he needed someone to shake him awake. There were days where you’d find Tenya a little less awake than usual, even though he seemed to have the same amount of energy as every other day. You’d catch him zoning out after school days ended, maybe he’d drop from his chopsticks once more than normal at lunch, and sometimes he’d even forget to bring certain things to school. Your best friend definitely wasn’t sleeping or resting enough.
You did your best to make sure Tenya was taking care of himself. Sometimes, you would gently remind him to drink more water, or to get more sleep. Other times, you’d deliberately book ‘study sessions’ with him, only to do the exact opposite- taking him to a cafe for a ‘change of environment’, introducing him to several new drinks and cakes, much to his dismay. Or maybe you’d eat lunch on one of the school rooftops, and allow him to take a nap afterwards on your shoulder while you ran your fingers through his coarse, navy hair. Perhaps you’d relax at your house, a movie would be playing on the TV, and while he’d feverishly insist on studying or doing something more ‘productive’, you’d gently but stubbornly insist that he rest. As the days passed, Tenya placed his focus on his ambitions, and your opportunities to ensure his leisure decreased.
One night, you wondered why Tenya pushed himself so hard. Was it because he was a people pleaser? There were definitely times where he would be almost too eager to help others. Or was it because he decided to shoulder his world of responsibility alone? Maybe it was because he was constantly surrounded by good examples of what a hero should be, that he held the burden of his family name, that he was expected to be the next best thing for the hero community...or maybe it was all of the above. Tenya had been working tirelessly for this; yet he didn’t know when or how to take care of himself and to forget to be selfless. He was always running to help others, always thinking in the position of others, or whatever would be better for the future. You didn’t remember the last time he did something for himself. Regardless, you decided that you’d definitely work a little harder to make sure your best friend would care for himself. After all, everyone needed someone else to lean on, right?
You shook your head. “No. I’m serious. You need to rest. Or at least take it easy this weekend.”
Finally, one Friday afternoon, you saw Tenya yawn in class for the first time. He looked close to falling asleep, in fact, you could say he was positively exhausted. His eyelids fluttered downward, their weight becoming heavier and heavier with each blink. Inside, he was praying he wouldn’t get picked on to answer a question- he just wasn’t really following the class material anymore. Or worse, he hoped Mr. Aizawa wouldn’t assign group work- it’d mean he would have to actively interact with other people, which he didn’t have the energy for. Thankfully, the bell rang, and the gray, bleary-eyed teacher dismissed his class, unfurling his sleeping bag and escaping the room to get a nap himself. You walked up to Tenya’s desk and playfully smacked his arm, shocking him a little more awake. He adjusted his glasses and looked up to you.
“Heeey. Someone’s looking tired.”
“I suppose I didn’t sleep quite enough last night, (y/n).” Tenya grinned. To the normal eye, it would seem like one of the class rep’s normal, signature smiles, but to you, there was a fatigued weakness shielded behind its sunny exterior.
You arched an eyebrow. “You’ve said that every day for the last month and a half.”
“I know, I know. There’s so much work I need to get to, in fact, I should return to my dorm soon to st-” Tenya had finished gathering his things and prepared to leave the classroom, until your hand reached out onto one of his broad shoulders and pressed him back down onto his seat.
“No you fucking don’t.” You folded your arms, a frown plastered to your face.
Tenya scowled. “Please, (y/n), can we joke around later? I have to get th-”
“Look, if you’re aiming to be a successful hero in the future, you might as well take your own advice that you give so often to others and rest. You always tell us to make sure we get enough sleep, and you’re not even doing it yourself. If you’re tired or sick, you won’t be able to perform as well as you want to, right? And you always want to be at your best, don’t you, Ten?”
“But-” Tenya protested. He had so much work to do, so much to get to.
“Tenya Iida. In our 15 years of friendship, I’ve never seen you this fucking tired. We’re only in our first year. Are you going to keep doing this throughout school? Or what, the rest of your life? For the love of god, cut yourself some slack.” You almost yelled out in protest, in disgust of seeing your best friend suffer in silence.
Tenya stared at you in shock. You’ve never spoken to him like this before, or at least, it was rare. Usually you played more of a supportive role by his side, and when you were more assertive, you were never this pushy. In fact, he couldn’t remember the last time he heard you shout. The remaining members of Class 1-A who hadn’t yet left the room stared at the both of you in a similar amount of surprise as your bespectacled classmate did. After sighing, you decided to use reason that Tenya would buy into, desperately hoping he would do as you said.
“Then it’s settled. We’re gonna take it easy this weekend, okay? And don’t apologise for making me worry. It’s my job to look out for you, you know. And we haven’t napped together in a while too. I kinda miss that.” You brought Tenya into a hug.
Tenya sighed. You were right. He couldn’t hide that he was tired. And honestly, it was exhausting having to troop through each class with the meager 4-5 hours of shut-eye he was getting. It was a battle that he knew he was losing. He surrendered to your suggestion.
“I...uh...suppose you’re right. Sorry for making you worry.” Right after Tenya had finished that sentence, he yawned. There was really no hiding his tiredness now.
“Hey...(y/n)? Thank you. I appreciate you doing this.” Tenya smiled, as he reciprocated your warmth.

Sunset Hues - Hitoshi Shinsou
Credits to @c0riiander for the Shinsou art! I went through their whole blog, its so cute (っ °Д °;)っ
Thanks to @lostcoves for making this collab! It was fun to do~ <3 Go check out all the other works written by the other authors!
Tags: Fluff, Shinsou x Reader, Binaural
Synopsis: You are in your second year at Yuuei. Shinsou and you are in 2-A. You both go for a date at the beach for the first time.
Word Count: 1111 (It wasn't planned but whau-)
⋯⋯ ⫍ SFW Masterlist ◍ Navigation ⫎ ⋯⋯
You closed your eyes as you let the wind brush against your skin as the sound of the sea cascading on the golden sands became the sirens of the evening. A purple-orange hue formed around the two of you as you stared at the sea line, looking at the mirroring view of the sky on the ocean’s surface. Warmth radiated from the Sun to your skin as you embraced the sunlight from it, taking it in slowly.
It was unusual to Shinsou - the idea of a beach date only written in stories he’s heard or read before.
But to you, this was something you’ve imagined ever since you were small.
The idea of sharing multiple moments on the edge of the land, your feet dipped in the clear blue sea as you say sweet nothings to your significant other - you had it all imagined in your head.
You raised your hand to the sky, eyeing how the colours of the sky painted themselves on your skin. The cold breeze hit your skin, sending a chill down your spine.
“Well, you’re enjoying yourself, aren’t you?” you heard Shinsou say from afar.
You turned your face to face the male behind you. The wind pressed against your face, letting the small rogue strands of your hair dance in the air. The soft lighting around the two of you formed an orange halo.
Shinsou’s eyes widened as he stared at the view in front of him.
You weren’t that different from him.
His messy, tousled hair moved softly thanks to the soft winds. The painted hues on his face accentuated his purple eyes - how it had small bright purple flecks within them. His skin became the canvas to the brightest scene you’ve seen in such a long time. A smile slowly formed on his lips as he continued to look at you, memorising how you looked in the scene.
“Well, it’s mostly because of the view, not you. Don’t get your hopes up, Purple,” you tease while chuckling.
The male slowly approached you in the barrier between the sea and the sand. The minute the cold water touched his feet, you could see the shock on his face. He glared at you when you snickered. He soon adjusted to the temperature and stood beside you.
“I’ll admit it,” he stated, “The view here is breathtaking.”
You look at his wonder-filled eyes as he saw the view you both shared in the small rendezvous you both shared. It had been a long time since you saw them - his eyes sparkling in joy.
You missed it so much.
You turned to face the sea, enjoying the sounds of the oceans and the small sigh of content from Shinsou.
“I missed going to the beach. From living on the beachside and going to the beach every other day to just once a year,” you sigh, “I hate the fact I can’t just come here every day.”
You felt Shinsou walk behind you, the water brushing up your leg. His hands slowly found their place around your waist. He pressed his head in the crook of your neck. His soft yet untamed hair tickled the side of your neck, making goosebumps rise.
“Well, we don’t need to be here when we graduate and become pro-heroes, you know? We could move nearer to the beach. It would be more secluded, so,” he mumbles against your neck, “I get to keep you to myself.”
You felt heat rush up your cheeks.
“Who are you and where is lethargic Shinsou?”
“He’s taking a nap,” he joked.
You leaned your head against him, humming softly.
“Well, bring him back. This Shinsou is a bit too much for me to handle.”
“Oh, really? Well…” he said, a plan forming in his head.
He soon began tickling you, making you laugh uncontrollably.
He missed seeing you smile like this.
Ever since you both entered Yuuei as second-year students, your once carefree and cheerful self somehow vanished and got replaced with a more dull and numb you.
He couldn’t help but think it was all his fault, but you kept on reassuring him that it was never his fault.
He was the sole reason you kept on with your life in Yuuei and never gave up on your dreams.
He kept you stable, an oasis away from the pain of the world.
He was your home away from home, and he deserved to be reminded every day that he was.
In an instant, you both fell into the salty water. You were on Shinsou while he felt the full impact of the fall.
“Just saying, you brought this upon yourself,” you say, laughing at the disgusted face Shinsou was making.
He stared at you, looking deeply into your eyes.
The once unhappy look on his face shifted to one of awe and admiration. The view of you in his arms, lying down in the bluest ocean he’s ever seen is something he wanted to see every day - no - every hour. The pure joy you had on your face as you looked at him - something he missed so much - lit his heart with so much happiness.
You were his angel - his archangel to take him away from all the pain and misery that awaited him in the future.
“God, you are beautiful,” he said as his hands reached to touch your cheek.
The pad of his fingers played with your skin, enjoying the feeling of you melting into his touch. He pressed his forehead against yours, your noses touching. The Sun slowly fell, the sky’s colours slowly leaving the two of you at the moment you both have formed. Your hands reached to touch his soft lavender locks, playing with the tips of it.
The both of you didn’t need to say anything - the soft silence spoke more than words.
“I love you so much, Shinsou,” you whisper, trying to not break the moment.
“I love you too, Y/N,” he replies, “I love you so much.”
You both smile at the view before you. The Moon had made its appearance, reassuring the Sun to take its leave. The melding of the dark blue against the light blue, purple and orange kept your eyes glued to the sky.
“Now get off of me before my feet get numb, Dumbo,” Shinsou said with all-seriousness.
You kissed the top of his forehead and proceeded to get off of him as he requested.
“How are we going to head back to the dorms soaking wet?” you question him, looking at the two of you.
“We sure as hell are not going to call a taxi.”
“Aizawa?”
“Not Aizawa - Mic.”

The cafe was unusually packed and you were unsure why, since the building was tiny and far from busy streets. A cafe like this never had more than a handful of people in it at once, and you were often left running the whole place on your own. Any other day, this would be fine, but today every table is crammed full of people, and you are forced to run all over the place to keep things in order.
Balancing a tray of coffee on one hand, you scan your eyes over the table numbers trying to find where to take it. You are too distracted by all the noise and movement caused by the cramped room, that you don’t see the bag that had been set on the floor next to a booth. The strap gets wrapped around your foot and you feel yourself falling, the tray leaving your arm. You brace yourself for the clattering of the drinks, and the pain of falling, but neither of them come. Opening your eyes to see a tentacle wrapped around you, and a second one holding the tray. Following the tentacle to its source, you see what caused the cafe to be so busy.
You see a male, roughly your age, his face burning bright red. After he helps you regain your balance, you recognize him as the new prohero, Sun Eater. You open your mouth to thank him, but he turns away quickly, face against the wall.
“I shouldn’t have grabbed you like that. I just saw you trip and it was the first thing I thought of. I must have really freaked you out. I want to go home.” He mumbles, mostly to himself. You ignore the chattering of the people around you, no longer caring about the fact you are the only person working, and the cafe is busy. Reaching a hand slowly to his shoulder, you tap it once to get his attention.
“Thank you for catching me, I really appreciate your help.” You try to give him a compliment, not realizing that would make things worse. He covers his ears and shakes his head.
“No. Don’t say that. You are going to build expectations for me, then when I fail you will be disappointed. I don’t know what came over me. My mind went blank and suddenly I was holding you. Don’t think that I am special or anything. Let me go home.” He rambles. You nod and take a step away from him.
“Cafe is closing! Finish what you have, and don’t bother paying if you haven’t already. Just get out.” Your voice sweeps over the room, and slowly they all shuffle out of the building. Doing a quick scan, you make sure it is just you and Sun Eater. “Can I get you some tea? You can stay here in silence as long as you want. I can even make you some pastries as a thank you.”
His face holds the same bright red color, but you can see his shoulders lose a bit of their tension. “Yeah… Yeah I would like that. Thank you.” He settles back down in his booth in the corner, eyeing you nervously as you make him the tea.
You come back over, holding the pot of tea. “So Sun Eater, do you have another name that I can call you? It feels weird being so formal with a new friend.”
