The shouting chat with the straw hair and the sword and dagger looks like Aragorn to me.

[Image description: two pictures of unpainted miniatures on a hobby desk. The miniatures are a ringwraith and a large ring, about the same size as the ringwraith's base. The ringwraith's sword and the ring are both green, as opposed to the unpainted light gray of the ringwraith. In the first photo, the ringwraith is on the desk, and the ring is lying on a steel ruler. In the second photo, the ruler has been raised and angled about 30 degrees from the vertical. The ring is still clinging to the ruler, despite gravity. End ID]
I didn't intend for my entry point to the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game to include making a ring, but here we are.
I'm still very early on in the process; I've bought a starter army for myself and my partner (Isengard and Lothlorien, respectively), as well as the ringwraiths and the Fellowship. My partner has been wobbling on the edge of getting into miniature painting for a while, and is a giant fan of Haldir and the general Galadhrim aesthetic, so this is my gentle push. That, and a thread on RPG.net sold me on the system.
The Fellowship comes with a ring, presumably to indicate who has the Ring, or if it's activated. But, since I'm a nerd who has watched the LotR special features many times, I wanted to have a Ring that could cling and slam into the ground like it does in Bag End in FotR. And I have magnets for weapon swaps, sooo...
The problem was that even my smallest magnets were a bit too big to vanish unobtrusively into the edge. So I greenstuffed the ring bigger. Which makes it sound a lot easier than it was. But it's done now.
As a sidenote, I was mildly horrified to learn that the ringwraiths were Finecast. I've only dealt with Finecast (Failcast) once before, on a unit of Eldar Rangers (that I still haven't finished painting), and my opinion has not improved. I didn't get any bubbles on this batch, but plenty of warping and broken swords. The only nazgul whose sword didn't give me trouble is the pose where the nazgul is actively drawing their sword, and thus there's nothing to go wrong. But I greenstuffed on fresh sword blades for everyone. They're crude, but better than what was there before. Which is more of a damning of Finecast than a paean to my skill, but I'll take it.

Games Workshop reveals new translucent kits for the Armies of the Dead for the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game #LotR #miniaturegames #warhammercommunity
Games Workshop has two reveals today for the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game and one has some big implications, opening up a lot of possibilities. The Warriors of the Dead isn’t the first time GW has released clear resin figures, but it is the first that won’t be super difficult to get. This new set won’t replace existing miniatures, making them perfect to add throughout your Army of the Dead.…

World building and theories of Engage
The Grey of King Hyacinth
We actually don't get to know very much about the real King Hyacinth in the game because he spends most of it under Sombron's influence. The true personality of Hyacinth is mostly learnt about through secondary education vidence, for example the comments made by his daughters. On the positive sides of his personality, we learn from both Ivy and Hortensia that their father was a kind man who cared for his family and his kingdom. His wisdom earned him the name ‘The Sage King'. In Chapter 17: Serenity in Ruin, King Hyacinth's wisdom is confirmed by Hortensia when she tells the Corrupted version of her father that;
‘I want to live up to my father, the wise king of Elusia.’
Both of his daughters remark how their father changed after Sombron is awakened.
‘Ever since Lord Sombron has been released. Father has been acting weird. He used to be so kind to me.’ (Chapter 10, The Fell Dragon Dungeon - Hortensia)
‘Father stopped being king as soon as the Fell Dragon awoke. Since then true power has rested with Sombron, his daughter and the four hounds. If you want back now, you would become an instrument of their designs, just as father was.’ (Chapter 14, The Battle for Solm - Ivy)
Which of his actions and personality traits are truly him? One thing we know for certain was that he planned and worked to awaken Sombron? Does this make him underhanded, scheming, cunning, desperate or a mixture of these qualities? It is difficult to say. Personally I wouldn't call it underhanded or dirty, rather I would say that Elusia calling upon their deity for aid is a rational response. Brodia can call upon the Divine Dragon and the forces of Lythos to aid them if necessary. Brodia was created with the blessing of the Divine Dragon after all. Elusia awakening Sombron could be seen as levelling the playing field. Was it a cunning scheme? With hindsight it is easy to argue that Hyacinth was shortsighted. He aimed to use Sombron's power to protect Elusia from attacks by Brodia and in the end it was his undoing. I would suggest that while awakening Sombron was rational, it was not cunning. It is strange that a kingdom that values knowledge failed to fully research the potential consequences of awakening Sombron, that is why I believe that awakening Sombron was a decision made out of desperation. Hyacinth is not a warrior, he is primarily a healer and the Manga shows him feeble in body. He cannot protect his kingdom on his own. People are dying and the potential to reap the resources near the border is limited; it is understandable that Hyacinth would seek extra power in these circumstances.
Is Hyacinth cowardly? Could this cowardice be another reason why he desperately sought more power to defend from Brodia's attacks? The two times he shows cowardice are in situations where his life is threatened. Fear is not an unreasonable response to death and pain. I would not necessarily call someone fearing death cowardly. Hyacinth also displays his ‘cowardly’ reactions after Sombron woke, when his personality had changed. How much of his reactions are influenced by his ‘personality change?’ I suspect that he would display a fearful reaction even without the personality change. I believe his ‘cowardice’ is meant to be compared to King Morion charging fearlessly into the battlefield and bravely, some might say foolishly, accepting that death is a possibility. I still think that calling someone a coward for panicking when a large Dragon is about to eat them is rather unfair.
The strategy employed by King Hyacinth to capture King Morion is designed to be a contrast to King Morion depending upon his might and skills as a warrior. King Morion wants to use his might and only his might to defeat Hyacinth. It is that pride that results with him being killed. Hyacinth is not too proud to accept the power of the Fell Dragon or the emblem rings. The only way he could defeat King Morion one on one is with cunning and assistance. He knows about Brodia's sense of pride and that serves as the bait to capture King Morion. Their battle is brain vs brawn, in the end neither ends up willing.
At the time of the attacks on Brofia, Hyacinth is under the influence of the Fell Dragon, it is unclear whether he would have employed such a strategy without that influence or would have employed his daughters in the same way. I doubt a normal Hyacinth would have treated Ivy as disposable, not would a supposedly kind king taunt the Brodian royal with their corrupted father.I believe that there are still traces of him, as demonstrated by him continuing to give Hortensia emblem rings and his fear of death but the majority of his personality has changed.
One trait we are made aware of us that Hyacinth had mistresses and his court was toxic. He was not under the influence of Sombron when he acquired more women. This could be a demonstration of his feeble mind:
he was unable to resist the temptation of beautiful women and had many mistresses along with a wife,
he was unable to manage the competitive situation in his court which resulted in a toxic atmosphere for his children to grow up in,
he failed to protect his daughters from that atmosphere
he failed to manage the jealousy of his wife and was the cause of it,
Is King Hyacinth bad?
No, awakening Sombron could be viewed as a defensive response to Brodia's warmongering. He was naive about what would result from awakening the Fell Dragon, perhaps even arrogant for believing he could manage that power. I would argue that he is not a great father. The damage caused by his promiscuity is evidence that he puts his needs and desires before that of his children. As a father he is responsible for Ivy's lack of trust and Hortensia's obsession with her appearance. Hyacinth sits in that grey middle ground where his actions are not evil but they are seriously misguided, in his personal life he is definitely not very loyal and selfish.

Who composes the Elden Lord’s council in the oc/canon verse
Morgott is the main one I figured out. He did rather well as the veiled king, or as well as he could given his own issues. His battle strategies were unmatched, and most of his more domestic rulings were decidedly well done as well. He just lacked the will to bring about any benifit for others like him. A huge failing on his part but understandable given his self loathing and his utter devotion to the Greater Will. Fyra luckily has the will to do the right thing.
Gideon is not actually on the council. He cooks up a new little spy network because post game some shards of the elden ring are still missing and some demi-gods are unaccounted for, and he is just using what resources he can to find them.
This however is all he does, or all he is allowed to do. He is not a man that should be given power as he inevitably abuses it as a means to an end. All advice he gives is little more then just a lover offering a bit of wisdom.
There are probably a few others, but they would be characters I created, and I have not made them yet. =')

A conversation between Eddie and the 'cool' substitute English teacher who sees potential in him.
Eddie doesn't do homework unless he's forced at gunpoint. To him, it's 'conforming'.
For Danielle Campbell, she's seeking evidence that there's more to this metalhead than appearances suggest.
////////////
'You really have this whole 'I don't care about anything and I'm dumb' act down pat, don't you?'
Eddie smirks at her. 'Who says it's an act, Miss Campbell?' The formality is a sneer on his lips.
Danielle gets up from behind her desk, and approaches the student. She's asked him to stay behind after class, and she senses that Eddie thinks it's so she can lambast him for not paying attention or being loud and dramatic.
That's not why she's kept him here.
'You mentioned Mordor during one of your recent unprompted cafeteria speeches, right? You like Lord of the Rings?'
Eddie frowns, clearly thrown and not knowing quite where this is going.
'So?'
'So...Tolkien is a lot of things, Eddie.' She responds. 'Light reading isn't one of them. Takes someone smart to be able to absorb his world.'
Eddie is looking at her now like maybe this is some kind of trap. But he's also not making fun of her, which is progress.
'Also, I heard you were in a band. You play guitar?'
It's quite obvious from Eddie's increasingly intrigued expression that nobody really bothers to ask him anything about his interests or his passions.
Certainly not any of the teaching faculty.
'Yeah.' Eddie answers quietly; loud, bombastic Eddie Munson has taken a break. 'Corroded Coffin. That's the, uh... that's the name of the band.'
'Cool. Well, being good at guitar takes years of practice. Are you good, Eddie?'
He shrugs, staring down at his sneakers; he seems embarrassed now.
'M'okay, I guess.'
'Which, if I'm translating Eddie Munson speech correctly, means you're really good.'
Eddie's head snaps up, and he smiles at her. It's a little wary, but it's definitely a smile.
Progress.
Now, for the final roll of the dice.
'Hellfire Club.' She mused, and his eyes went wide. 'Your Dungeons and Dragons group?'
However, Eddie seems to retreat a little again at the mention of Hellfire. He glares at her.
'Let me guess,' He said harshly, then, adopting a nasally authoritative voice, which bore no resemblance to her own, he announced dramatically, 'Dungeons and Dragons is a ridiculous and dangerous game, which encourages witchcraft and Satanic worship. It is rotting the minds of our youth and destroying all that is good about our country.'
Danielle promptly bursts out laughing, which only causes Eddie's glare to become even more pronounced.
'Sorry,' she waves a hand at him as she gets her laughter under control. 'I don't mean to laugh, it's just...what could possibly be dangerous about a game that involves strategy, teamwork, adventure, and encourages imagination and innovation?'
She has him. Eddie is grinning now, a full, genuine, if slightly disbelieving, grin. And then she asks, 'I'm guessing you're a bard, right? Or a DM? Are you a DM?'
Eddie actually springs to his feet and claps joyfully, wild mane of dark curls flying around his face.
'You play D and D?? Are you serious right now?'
'Used to.' There's a wistfulness to Danielle's voice now; she misses it, the fun, the adventure, the exhilaration of going into battle together. 'A lifetime ago now.' Clearing her throat, she walks back to her desk, and grabs the homework assignment she's going to give him.
The real purpose for this conversation.
'It's an essay, Eddie. You don't flunk it, you're one step closer to graduating, and I know this year is literally last chance saloon for you.' She hands it to him, and surprisingly, he takes it. No fuss, no arguments.
'You've got a whole weekend to complete it. Two days. You're smart enough to get it done in two hours.'
Eddie makes one last ditch effort, however light hearted, to protest.
'What if I have plans this weekend?' He's still grinning at her, and in that moment, Danielle Campbell decides she likes this kid. All he's ever needed was a chance to prove that he's not a freak or a loser.
She wants to give him that chance.
'Well, I'm sorry to interrupt your plans.' She replies, matching his grin with her own. 'You're just gonna have to not sacrifice some goats to Beelzebub, or dance around a bonfire naked. Or whatever it is you Satan worshippers do on weekends.'
Eddie throws his head back and laughs, and Danielle feels that maybe, just maybe, he'll do the damn assignment.
Maybe '86 will finally be Eddie Munson's year.
