rating record of ragnarok characters /10, because i can.

DISCLAIMER: i’m only rating the characters based off what the manga & anime has portrayed. i’ve done little to no research on these people themselves, which is why i don’t condone anything immoral that they’ve done. this was written before the release of chapter 73+

a/n: i think i wanna do this for every anime + genshin & val. PLS WATCH IT & LMK IF YOU GUYS LIKE IT. also i dont care abt grammatical and/or punctual errors, this is a shit post

MANGA SPOILER WARNING!!

THOR: first of all, he’s so fucking hot. his smile caught me so off guard tho, i kinda just stood there watching the screen, baffled. not much character to him, he’s just hot. 7/10

LU BU: i’m chinese, i literally feel so happy when i see chinese characters. biased, but definitely a plus. he, just like thor, has little to no character. first character i called hot, is hot, but there are hotter characters. (what, i am not talking abt hermes wdym?) 7/10

HERMES: 10/10. no explanation. my man right there. i literally scream & cream every time i see him. why is he so fine. not a single panel or clip where he looks bad. pls eat me out, sir i beg. i will serve you. ONE CHANCE. JUST ONE?? i’m in love with him. who needs real men or women when hermes.

GOLL: she is SO ANNOYING. her eng & jp voice are both annoying asl. she’s that one character, that exists in mostly every anime, used to explain background info & battle info on other characters. brunhilde is too nice on her. she reminds me of when i first saw yachi (haikyuu) on screen. yachi, too, was annoying. but i grew to love her🫶. 1/10

BRUNHILDE: SHES SO HOT. ATE. SHE ALDNAHDISKZ. yeah, what else is there to say? 8/10

APHRODITE: she truly lives up to her version in the greek mythology. hottest woman/goddess alive. ate. her boobs, i want to squish them & bury my face in them. WHEN IS IT MY TURN TO HOLD THEM? 8/10

ZEUS: idgaf what anyone says, he’s not hot. not even his younger self. he looks like mirio (mha) turned netero (hxh). love his character tho. the eyes scared me at first. he’s hilarious. 5/10

ADAM: my friend, the one who recommended snv to me, told me he’d be more my type. he was, minus the fact that’s he literally butt fucking naked. nice ass cheeks tho. def pretty boy, his wife is hot too. i want her more😋. his line abt fighting for his children made me cry. should’ve won. i say, let hermes be uncleless & fatherless. 7/10

POSEIDON: he was fs the blueprint for adam. anywho, yk hes fine. SOOO FINE. meowing for him. he doesn’t beat hermes tho. nobody beats hermes. well, look wise at least. it was rlly hard choosing who to root for in this fight. that’s a lie, i was always on humanity’s side. sad he died:( 9/10. -1 for being a little, arrogant, narcissistic, egotistical bitch. 8/10

SASAKI KOJIRO: see, zeus coulda been hot like him at that old age. man aged like fine wine. character was a W. hot, determined, good character, funny. what else can you want from a man? 8/10

HERACLES: disappointed. so disappointed. he looked better in the disney ver. this fight was so boring for me. you’re telling me i’m supposed to watch the fight instead of ogling at hot characters? no. character was okay. 6/10

JACK THE RIPPER: massive L. not supporting a murderer. next. 0/10

SHIVA: hot from the beginning. 4 arms? do what you want to me, sir. 3 WIVES? tengen (kny), is that you bro?😭 anywho, he’s cocky, def my type irl LMAO. i wouldn’t let that slide tho.. his wives are hot too😋 8/10

RAIDEN TAMEEMON: i paid very little attention to this fight. don’t remember his backstory too well (i read this fight not even 24 hours ago btw). not that good looking, not ugly either. i liked his character, upset he took 3 of shiva’s arms. why 3? why not 2? he got 1 arm left. 4/10

BUDDHA: THATS MY GOD RIGHT THERE. ate. i’m not religious, and neither are my family, but they are buddhist, so by default, i am too. i personally think buddhism is the best religion, but we’re not gonna get into that. i have very valid reasons btw. love his personality, love his looks. massive W. ofc he fights for humanity. he’s a walking W. 9/10

ZEROFUKU: precious. definition of deserved better. what made me sad, is how he was written during the fight. he’s consistently hitting, with little to no strategy. his backstory is sad, but his battle exp was written poorly. also the random ass monster possessing took me tf out. 7/10

HADES: fine ass mf. he’s so different from how he’s usually portrayed, both look & personality wise. the first W netflix has pulled. he’s hot and responsible? persephone, we can share him babes. also, the relationship between him & poseidon made me SOB. like actually. hurt so bad i made an angst edit. 9/10

QIN SHI HUANG: first off, i don’t do research on my own ethnicity’s history. i didn’t even know who tf lu bu was. my family knew tho. with that aside, PROUD TO BE CHINESE❗️ he’s so fine. SO FINE. the way his character was written, was wonderful. i loved the fight between him & hades. the tension & the lengths they went to try & win. 9/10

BEELZEBUB: his backstory was so tragic. what i didn’t like, was how they rushed his & lilith’s story. like, they kinda randomly said i love you to each other. i’d love to see their adventures tgt. lilith, leave that emo thing, and come be w me. he’s fine too. i rlly like how they introduced him. 8/10

NIKOLA TESLA: i don’t have much of an opinion on him. very chatty, which i don’t actually mind. i guess we’ll have to wait for more chapters to release before i form an opinion on him. 5/10

ODIN: the hair bro. THE HAIR. i keep forgetting he exists, but i’m not his biggest fan. not bad, but i prefer his sons. i do like the theory of him being a traitor. he looks the part. 5/10

LOKI: honestly, i liked him a lot in the beginning, but now, it’s like he’s kinda on the side. cute & hot. thor is the better brother tho. speaking of, how tf are they even brothers? moving on, i like his personality. i like his shocked, mixed w angry, facial expressions more. 7/10

ARES: the hair again. very stylish, i do like it, but it took me out. walking around looking like a school girl. i don’t like how he tries to be a know-it-all w hermes, when he literally relies on him for info. but that’s my man for you. his expressions are SO WELL. 6/10

ADAMAS: i was awfully confused, at first, when there were 3 older brothers to zeus. usually, it’s just hades, poseidon & zeus. not his biggest fan, his character was rushed. 4/10

BONUSES

JESUS: i was very happy to see jesus. i’m not sure why, i just was. why is he the only character, THAT LOOKS LIKE THEMSELVES? 9/10

LU BU SIMP AGENCY: 10/10. i don’t need to say anymore. W cheng gong. love that man.

FORSETI: what a loser. he was so annoying. 2/10

EVE: mother? mommy? whatever. MEOW. 9/10

SASAKI SIMP AGENCY: love them as well. 10/10. walking Ws all around.

You did like Thor though. He was super nice and funny. Granted, he was drunk when you met him, but you still thought he was cool

And of course you know Fury. Natasha trusts Fury a lot so you know him well

The people who are accusing Taika of queerbaiting Im like... have they watched anything he's done or been on that isn't Marvel's Homophobic Universe at any point. Like. Getting even as little rep as he's managed there is a fucking miracle considering it's Disney and still?? Looking at what he's done outside of Marvel and calling him out for queerbait is ???? Nevermind how he works other marginalized identies and stories in his work, just looking at the queer stuff it's clear this isn't a case of him maliciously using us as token rep?????

(I also dont care that he's going for Marvel work to be clear. Im going yes king get the fat paychecks and keep being weird otherwise lol but I also dont think him going "yeh it's so gay" on thor interviews is that weird since Marvel lays down the line on what they're supposed to push. This happens EVERY TIME there's a vaguely gay background extra in their movies. If you get queerbaited by a marvel movie at this point, 3 million movies in, it's on you lmao who even watches the interviews anymore)

(Reading him straight by default is also a bit weird imo as a bi woman forever getting assigned straight bc I don't like having short hair. It doesn't let me stim and people id me as a lesbian with short hair which is also not me. Whatever he's got going on is his business though!)

it's this weird contradictory thing people are doing where first they say taika built his career off of the lgbt community and by pretending to be queer, but then people realize that a lot of his personal projects don't have anything to do with sexuality (straight or otherwise) so then they switch to "taika's riding off the work of others to make himself seem more queer by doing a bare minimum amount of work on other people's projects" and these are supposed to be two concepts that exist at the same time.

and it's like... he didn't make ofmd, but he was still a huge part of it? the way he and david talk about it makes it seem like he did a lot of the preliminary work that producers usually do (since... he's a producer lol) before dropping off to focus on acting. also i know this is shocking for many people, but david jenkins is straight lmao. nobody's coming for him tho

or people are weird about him and wwdits where they ignore that he did co-create the movie (which the charas are bisexual in) and then blame him for people assuming he has a huge creative role in the tv show or is the show runner. but he's still an executive producer on it and directed some episodes? he's still supporting queer media? also jemaine clement doesn't openly id as queer either so??

god and with marvel i don't see why people are mad at him because marvel is literally sooo fucking homophobic and we know this and the fact that they were able to get that much explicit queerness into the movie is a testament to how much effort taika and tessa had to put in. the movie isn't queerbait and once that got debunked suddenly people are stuck on how he "over sold it" by dissecting him saying two words of "super gay!" like are we being serious? like on god? when we also know that they were made to take some of the gay content out from ragnarok and it's extremely likely they had to take shit out from here too. taika being vocal about needing queer representation isn't an issue 😭 people act like he's bragging about it too when if you look up anything he's said about queer rep he always talks about how it shouldn't be a big deal, but that he understands that it is and how important it is to normalize representation. also again insane to pick a quick response to a fan question to accuse him of queerbaiting than like any of the interviews he's done about the queerness in it where he's honest that they're small scenes but that he knows those small scenes mean a lot to queer audiences.

it's just! weird! and odd! and again i fucking haaaate that people are saying he's built his career off the queer community when he straight up hasn't? his work has always been centering indigenous stories and of representations of his identities. boy, hunt for the wilderpeople, and jojo rabbit aren't romances? and complaining about him doing marvel movies as if he's not allowed to get himself a quick check for when he's already said that he uses the money to fund projects that he's passionate about which includes his production studio that funds indigenous filmmakers! and the last three projects they signed onto centering indigenous creators telling stories about colonization all sound like they're going to be sooo fucking good

should I read maloki because even though it's not the best adaptation I'm kind of curious. Is it worth reading

hmm it's really dependent on how much weird ship bait fan service (i think that's the term?) and general bad plot bullshit you're willing to put up with lmao. i go on a very long rant abt everything that sucks so umm yeah. everything i say is abt the manga unless stated otherwise

i'd def skip the chapter in the first season of the manga where loki gets cursed w a rune that makes him switch personalities cause it's really weird and bad and just weird. i'm not getting into specifics cause it's weird for me to describe but just like. skip it.

another thing thats weird for u to look out for is freyr's infatuation w mayura (who's a teen girl). in the anime its not as bad cause he's explicitly a teenager (he gets enrolled in her school with the purpose of saving her mystery club) but it's never said so in the manga so it kind of just looks like a grown man doting after this teen. actually on that, most of the gods are shown in some sort of shippy way with her at least once in the manga. narugami (thor) is probably the most normal occurrence since he's explicitly a high schooler in both the anime and manga. there's a scene where heimdall (who's also like a middle schooler like loki is) kisses mayura to make loki jealous or whatever. just to piss him off.

loki also gets ship bait with a lot of the female chars too like w mayura freyja and skuld. it's. yeah you know how it is

less weird things but just kind annoying plot things that happen are loki getting out of heimdalls assignation attempts with weak explanations and also the author doing the thing where you're assumed to dislike heimdall so the sometimes the plot just shits on him for no reason (there's a chapter where loki and heim get magically transported to a magic school and he spawns in already copying lokis homework and everyone yells at him for it. bro did NOTHING !!!)

i will say that after you get past that first season of the manga it's so much better on the weird bullshit tho ! ragnarok is much better abt it and doesn't have any so bad i recall immediately and shinsekai no kamigami doesn't either. that isn't to say the plots for those aren't kinda sucky too but they're better than whatever the first season put out.

the anime gets rid of sooo much of this weird bullshit and i think does some characters better (heim and freyr get more of a proper emotional bond with each other. as sad as it is i really like what they did with hel and i personally like loki and mayura's dynamic more in the anime) but unfortunately it's majority filler so the manga has a better plot so u kinda just have to decide what you're willing to put up with fsfsfs

actually on that freyja is better written in the manga i think than the anime once again we cannot win both versions just suck. she's still kind of portrayed as loki obsessed in the manga but not to the awful degree that the anime does.

there's the occasional homophobic remarks in the manga but that's few and far between and so i choose to just ignore it.

not fault of the author but also some scanlations have really weird translators notes on some of the chapters too.

as for what's good about it. it's really heimdall and lokis conflict. it's interesting i think because of lokis feelings towards heimdall out of guilt and drives a lot in the first and third season of the manga (it's a little bit forgotten in the middle of the anime lol). i think freyr and heimdall are funny characters and i like every chapter with them in it as do i like every scene in the anime with them in it. they sort of have that odd couple dynamic and it's nice to see heimdall warm up to freyr over the course of the show and become better friends. mayura without the ship bait is also a fun character i think ! she's a mystery obsessed highschooler who loves the supernatural and so she sticks around loki who's a detective a child and an exorcist! thor is also a fun char and he's lokis best friend and mayura's classmate who has a shit ton of jobs. yamino is jormungandr and he's there but to me he's not the most interesting char. i can't say much about the plot without spoilers but it's okay and gets interesting in ragnarok. overall the characters are what makes it fun for me and thus i ignore much of canon and think about them in the vacuum chamber of my mind lol.

but yeah that's my review ig of maloki. it's Not Good but i think if you're looking for something fun ragnarok is an okay read cause the characters are silly in that one and it's not so weird and also has the best plot probably. shinsekai no kamigami is also fun and i think that plot is super interesting BUT like i said its half unscanlated. and then if you're gonna start from the very beginning i would just skip any chapter that has the weird bullshit it's probably not plot relevant anyway. the anime is more lighthearted i think and has more character bonding time but it's also a lot a lot a lot of filler. so yeah.

i'm so sorry this got so so long but i had a fun time complaining because i have a lot to complain about and i hope this helps lmao

Opinion on the new Love and Thunder trailer? (p.s. that tattoo, brooo)

look, if something has thor front and centre i'm already going to be enjoying it considerably more than i enjoy almost anything else....that being said what we've seen so far has been a bit of a mess lmao it seems to have taken what worked in small doses (the humour, the wackiness, thor being a bit silly and poked fun at while still being a hero) and dialled it up so much there doesn't seem to be a lot of... film left. but hey, this is just the trailer trying to get butts in seats so maybe they are only selecting the broadest moments bc they think that's what ppl like.

the jane stuff is so boring to me like it literally drags the whole trailer down, portman is not an action star or particularly funny she just doesn't belong in a role like this (her arms look great tho). she was charming as a geeky, passionate scientist but this is just so the wrong fit for her, especially when tessa is right there so naturally doing it well and being under used bc of it. we should spend all this jane time establishing val as the female lead of the franchise and digging into the fact she was literally a slaver and presumably is still very lost in the world just like thor. i dont think repackaging thorjane as a big love story is particularly smart, when they wrote her off in the last film with an off hand comment and a gag. its just too little too late and there was so many other directions to take thor's story. also i'm just tired of thor thinking he's unworthy of the hammer and someone else taking it from him, can we just stop? pls?? we already decided thor outgrew mjolnir and it wasn't a real measurement of worthiness like 3 films ago.

gorr is getting the hela treatment of being a cool, dark villain trapped in a film that doesn't want to treat him as such. i can see him being underused and underexplained but i've enjoyed what we've seen so far. christian bale can rly do no wrong in my eyes even looking like voldemort's decomposing corpse. i like that he looks weird as fuck and they're not trying to make him any less bizarre. him and pattinson's bruce are on sperate ends of my ghoul boyfriend spectrum.

as for the tattoos.... on one hand my thorloki shipper heart is giddy w/ happiness they're acknowledging thor loves his brother and wants to honour him (i mean the loki show likes to pretend thor doesn't even exist). on the other, why did they have to make them look so shitty? would vain thor really get that on his beautiful god bod? did we really need to make that a gag too? would any other main marvel hero get a shitty back tat of their dead relative, like they would never have pulled that w/ steve or tony. it just seems like another way to undermine thor and i'm getting a little tired of it. his grief has just been one long joke when everyone else's was treated with such seriousness.

Hi beautiful, I wanted to ask for opinion about something, if it's ok with you. Idk if you have any magickal work done to reference, but still I see that you have experience with deities so your insight will be perfect. A friend of mine got a Mjolnir necklace and he did everything to get it blessed by Thor and his Mjolnir, but Odin actually has been recurring even in his dreams and when he did the charm for the amulet, he felt Odin more close about it than Thor. He asked me, and I told him that I think that Thor has helped him, but Odin, quite different from Zeus, is more of a gossipy old man that likes to know everything lmao. He is a searcher of knowledge and quite a trickster, so maybe He wanted to be close to see what's going on. Here we don't have crows, but black magpies, and after what he did, lately one has been coming around lol.

Well I don’t know much about the Norse pantheon tbh so might be better off seeking insight from someone who knows the Norse deities better.

All I can really do is relate the situation back to my experiences with the Hellenic pantheon which may or may not be relevant considering deities all have their own personalities.

But in my experience it’s def not uncommon to reach out to one deity only to have another one show up either by themselves or along with the deity you were originally contacting (Apollo and Hermes are a good example of the latter). I feel like it make sense when you remember that both pantheons are made up of families. You kind of get adopted into the family without realizing it lol!

Also the way you’re describing Odin here has some parallels to how I personally experience Zeus. He’s more of a overseer than a god I directly work with, if that makes sense. Like for example, with Apollo I have all these different things we’re working on together and he’s helping me accomplish some of my goals. But Zeus is more just there to see what’s happening and that I’m alright and everything is alright.

So yeah I can see Odin showing up to get the tea and the hot gossip and overseeing what’s going on with your friend and Thor lol!

Honestly an interesting similarity I’ve found with most trickster gods is that they like to be included in everything (Looks over at Hermes, Aphrodite, AND Zeus) 🤣🤣🤣🤣

But I would suggest your friend trying to ask Odin what the deal is? Maybe not like that tho. Lol!

looks like more of the same. looks like he's still hanging around with mobius so I assume they'll continue to portray that relationship positively even though mobius is an evil genocidal maniac who tortured loki and treated him horribly and nothing like a friend. even a great writer couldn't fix the show at this point unless they retconned all of s1 and started over. looks like the production value is still cheap (lmao is that the bad shirt from Seinfeld?).

also it's funny that they still can't get loki's hair right. just dying Tom's hair black is not enough. Loki actually had short hair in Thor 2011 so it's not like he always has long hair, but Loki's hair is straighter than Tom's is. It's a little detail but it's emblematic of the lack of care that goes into the production and how they think if Tom is playing a role somehow it's automatically Loki even tho that makes no sense. Loki is a specific character. Not everyone Tom plays is Loki.

so yeah. I didn't see any footage in S1 that felt like Loki and I doubt s2 will change or will treat the character with any more respect or dignity or address any of the serious and interesting issues that would actually make the show good. plus we know disney lies in their advertising and constantly acts in bad faith. so yeah. I don't have any expectations or plan to watch as of right now.

Okay so yesterday i watched love and thunder and i think it's okay (and yes definitely way better than mom)

Spoilers btw

I think it has a tone problem tho, i like the comedy stuff there should be less jokes in this one

Gorr is amazing as a villain holy shit, the time he appears when he's already corrupted i got chills down my spine! The camera works are *chef kiss

But....

With him being the villain, back to the tone problem i think that's what made this story didn't turn well. Gorr literally wanted to eradicate ALL GODS, that's probably the highest stake in every thor movie ever had.

And gotta admit, i'm thinking a lot to moon knight's story. As in i tried to search for the connections yk but i'll talk abt this later

I feel like there should be some infinity war element kind of tone in here, it's not that in the end the gang's supposed to loose tho but make it as if they're actually going to loose

When gorr almost got to the eternity i feel a bit dissapointed cause yea i knew he'll change his mind/heart or prob not succeeded

Compare this in ragnarok tho, i feel like the stakes with hela was much bigger/higher cause ragnarok pretty much showed a lot of the damages hela has done to the gang from act 1

The screaming goats ruined the scene when the gang just arrived in shadow-realm-planet(???) sorry i forgot the name lmao, anyway i love the goats in other scenes but i hate them in here only, cause seriously it didn't match the gloomy, dark, corrupted tone of the place itself

And i miss loki being in here, i get that the loki that thor knew is gone-actually-gone but i wish there's more of him talking about his bro :(

Thor probably is a troublemaker, he’s just like 80% blind with his one eye so we don’t know what mischief is because of his blindness and what mischief is just Thor being a menace. But one thing is for sure, heS ALWAYS IN THE WAY! we know it’s not his fault, but a day doesn’t go by where we don’t trip over him at least ONCE. Laying around sleeping and eating all day sounds nice, Momo has the right idea LMAO. I remember a few years ago when finals rolled around I texted my group of friends that I have decided to become a cat because all they have to do is sleep, eat and look cute and I’m already good at all three of those things.

Apparently back in the 90s (I think) reformatory schools were very common and many of which would grab you in the middle of the night and take you to the school. It was common enough that they called it the “Elan snatch” or something like that. Schools like those don’t really exist anymore since the internet and social media made communication a lot easier and no one wanted their kids to go to such a school. that was the one I mentioned last time (elan), it was a Reformatory school but many prep schools that were all snazzy and fancy had some sort of cult within it, whether it be larger or smaller. Especially if they are religious. I know there are many non-cult boarding schools out there but let just say it’s easy to manipulate children when their parents aren’t around.

Also I JUST finished Tokyo Revengers hours before reading the last message. Honestly it left me with a lot of ????? Like wtf just happened, they can’t end the season like that!!! Oof.

Your school uniforms seem so cute! Religious schools kinda scare me tho- (im rereading the message as I write mine on notes so I don’t miss anything and just reread that you went to a religious school…after I said many were cult like??? IM SO SORRY! Like I mentioned earlier not all religious schools are like that and plus you didn’t go to boarding school so) it’s probably because I know that some people take religion differently and much more seriously than others? Like religion can be an amazing thing to help you find yourself, or it could be a harmful thing that controls others. As a queer person, I know of the terrible things that people do for the sake of religion, but I also know that people do amazing things for religion as well. I’ve just heard some crazy things about religious schools in America so I’m kinda weary but you live in a totally different continent and there are many different religions so. But it seems like you went to a really good school by the way you talk about it lol. I had a lot of anxiety in school- I say that like I’m not anxious now after I graduated but anyway- so I only focused on myself with a few friends. I literally didn’t know anyones name or anything like that so when anyone mentioned anybody I was like ????? Who?? I was so outta the loop omg. I didn’t really mind since it kept me outta the drama and people weren’t really my thing anyways so lol. Congrats on being a sports captain and in a school play!! That seems awesome and I could NEVER. Im not sporty at ALL. I played some volleyball at the residential I was at but it wasn’t really serious? I have a shit ton of random ass health problems so sports were never really my thing. I’m also ver uncoordinated and awkward, especially as a child and would often zone out while waiting for the ball or anything. High key would be thinking about a fanfic I wanted to write as the ball flew right past me- oops. I’m not sure if I mentioned this before but i always used to get hit by balls- even when I wasn’t playing??? Like it would make sense if I was but I would just be vibing they BAM! I get hit in the head with a basketball?? From outta nowhere?? I’m suprised I was never concussed. My gym teacher felt bad for me so he let me walk laps instead of playing with balls LMAO. I like to preform and have stage fright as well LOLOL. I think I would be a good actor since I am used to getting in character every time I write a new character or anything (yknow, just writing things) but I’m awkward, shy and hate the sound of my own voice smh. I used to wanna be a singer but puberty hit and my singing voice just dipped smh. But ok??? You can sing! I see you girl! I’m glad your friends signed you up for an audition (even if it pissed you off lol) because it seems like you had a good time lol. I know what it’s like to pull a 180 on your classmates like that because if I ever got passionate about something in class I go all out and my classmates are like ??????. Or if one of my classmates was also in one of the smaller classes with me (smaller classes help reduce anxiety and stuff and again- I had a lot of it) they would see how loud and obnoxious I could be since I’d didn’t have a filter since most of those kids were in the majority of my small classes and my teachers were cool. I would also love to hear what drama you were sucked into lol.

It does suck that I have to censor myself sometimes when it comes to the school, bust sometimes it’s just easier to say “boarding school” bc you have to explain a lot less lol. The school was fucking messy. Like the idea and thought was there, but the place itself was messy. Putting that many kids with that many very different problems never really ended up well. It helped me because my main problem was the self hatred I had for myself because I felt so different and being in a place full of people with problems like mine or worse that all tried their best to exist and persist despite them made me see that I shouldn’t pity myself anymore and see that I deserve to be treated kindly by everyone- including myself. I was and still am very lucky that I have such a supportive family that was there for me all the way- the majority of the kids there didn’t have that.

I’m glad you appreciate the stick figure drawings 😭 I’m not always the best at describing things so I felt like I needed to do a quick sketch lol. Don’t get me wrong, they are both trouble makers in their own way. Kayla does whatever she wants with very little consideration for others or herself. Daia is actually pretty chill and level headed till she gets pissed off or feels like something isn’t fair or right. But yeah I could see her as Chucky sometimes lol. Yeah, life there was problematic and it sucked sometimes- ok it sucked a LOT of the time but I made some memories there and met some people there that I’ll never forget. One day I do hope I can publish a novel about my time there and maybe get it turned into a tv show. I want mental health to be normalized, whether it be the good the bad or the ugly, since I never got that as a kid even though it would have helped me a lot. I’m not sure that would be a good idea because I don’t want it to seem like I’m glamorizing mental health problems, yknow? Plus the majority of the people that would be in the story would be minors and A. That’s a lot of mental turmoil for any child, even if they are acting B. No children should be going through it, even the children the characters are based on C. Kids wouldn’t be able to watch the show, even if it was based on my life as a child. It would be strange to have a tv show with the main cast being children and they couldn’t watch it. I think it would be taken the wrong way, even if intentions. Honestly, I’m suprised that Kayla didn’t need to go to the hospital, I think she just got a few bruises at most. Luckily the staff held Daia back when I couldn’t LOLOL. We got assigned our roommates by age. There could only be a five year age gap between the roommates which left me with the same three people or so each time we changed rooms. But I hate how teachers in general thinking sitting a rowdy person next to a quiet one would do any good. This happened to me and my sister when we were in elementary school and it’s so obnoxious. Like I don’t get paid to babysit??? I come here to learn and get you sit me next to a kid who you know will disrupt my learning??? Also the difference between our schools is INSANE. Honestly you need to watch “American public school tiktoks” I feel like my residenal was required to be chaotic in some ways because it was “therapeutic” but man, public schools are a DIFFERENT BREED in America.

dude, i just watched the entire 50min smth video about elan school and holy shitttt that used to be a facility? it's also terrifying how almost majority of dehumanizing activities are pioneered by someone who has psychology as their degree (that's my degree 💀) but you know it always starts with someone thinking they have it all figured out and "testing it" more like, experimenting it on people like they're subjects to research. this is precisely why in my course, research ethics is highlighted in every unit and we also talk about the unacceptable deeds early psychologists/psychiatrists did. the elan school got me hooked i hope the original post on reddit is still there cos i want to read it lol.

it's alright omg i studied in a religious school and if that creeps you out it's fine lmaooo contrary tho, here in my country when someone went to a religious school esp if it's exclusive to one gender we always have the prim, proper, and classy stereotype but that isn't the case 💀 even though that was the impression the school has to outsiders, it's different when you are experiencing it. honestly, i think the reason why i knew that i'm gay as young as 12/13 years old is because of the ideology the insititution builtㅡtho it's built so we can be straight competitive women in the future that obviously didn't work well with me. i mean they said love people for who they are and now i love both genders lmaooo kidding aside, although i am raised by a religious family esp my dad and a religious school i am never really /that/ religious(?) since i am exposed to the in and outs of the church i am also aware of their dirty tactics. hence, i gained the habit of questioning everything (also the fact i have trust issues lol) i am not a blind follower and i dont even know if i'm supposed to be called religious just bc i spent more than half of life in that school. the concept religion is hazy for me but i am aware that religion works well for other people. it's therapeutic for them and i respect that. but the thing is (and ig the point of this entire blabber) from what i have observed, even if you try to instill an idea or faith on someone by caging them in an environment that harbors it, it won't work. my school was overall good in terms of disciplining us and in academics but they have rules that are just plainly absurd. like, we were encouraged to have boyfriends as young as 7th grade but if you get too close to a classmate you will get called to counseling and be suspected to dating "your friend" even tho they are really just a friend to you. it sucks cos the word gets out to parents. my country isn't that open to homosexuals yet and the parents who sent their children to religious are ofc religious by nature. so when the word gets out a sense of shame is brought to your family (think of mulan, last names matter and the glory you bring to your family matters as well). it was extremely difficult for my lesbian classmates to pretend they like boys and to conceal their way of expressing their sexuality. we have rules for short hairs. it has to be short but long enough to be feminine. we are not allowed to wear long skirts. most of the lgbt members in my school sport longer skirts cos shorter ones make them feel more comfortable cos they don't have to keep their knees together at all times. at the same time short skirts are not allowed as we may be seen as "slutty". we have specific colors allowed to wear in school (3 colors only to be exact and 2 of which is black and white), never had phones, no dangling earrings, no piercings just the original 2, our pe shoes has to be in the same brands as others, we wear headband with our surnames sewed in it during tests (tho i saw other asian countries who does the same? the purpose is to catch if someone's cheating), no accessories, no polish, if found that you're wearing a lip tint or light foundation you'll be reprimanded to take it off, i can go on and on about these rules that made me feel more or less controlled. in our neighboring schools we were called a cult (tho it's a joke) cos when we go out during field trips and we all look the same. even the pen that everyone uses is almost always the same LMAO. this reminded me of the elan and tho the latter is an extreme case, i think the standford prison experiment holds true and timely. people in authority has the urge to control their subordinates into compliance. it can be beneficial but sometimes it's abused and overlooked. we are coined prim, properly, and classy in exchange of small freedoms.

ANYWAY THAT WAS A LONG RANT I'M SORRY TSBDBSMDBSJ

i am not sure if "sporty" is the right word to describe me? cos back in hs i wasnt sporty but rather adventurous. i have a lot of interests and tho trying smth new sort of scares me i do it anyway (a masochist yes lol) so i tried a lot of things! i was in wnba camp (womens nba) but but was never serious about it. i'm sorry to hear that you're always receiving end of flying balls (and sorry for laughing gemshs jkjk) OHMYGOD HOW IS YOUR HEAD THO 😭. speaking of writing maybe i can give you prompt it's from a personal experience! op is walking out of the gym and the vball team is practicing. the ball lands on op's head then the "star"/ace/famous player of the team approaches op to apologize. everyone including the main character is surprised to know that the player knows their name. and the player will be like "how can i not know?"/"we spent *insert event* few months ago" the event was short and op can't believe the player still remembers. tag me when you write!! ;) about the theater i did, i was a police officer so i had the miranda rights memorized and i hold a gun. the officer i had to play as has a tough personality and all that. the musical is about prostitution, drugs, basically the realities in society. at first, we werent allowed to perform the play as it was too "morbid". the nums didn't like the genre and theme but we pushed for it. in the end, we sold tickets for a good cause.

about your school, although it gave you not-so-good memories i am glad you had a take away from your experience. loving oneself is hard. i learned it the tough way and i'm sure many of us had similar experience. it's hard to learn how to love a person you've known the longestㅡyourself. about the writing plan you have OMG THAT SOUNDS AMAZING??? I WOULD READ YOUR NOVEL 100% i don't think it's glamorizing mental health tho esp if it came from your personal experience. you are simply stating your experiences and all that. i personally think that people should be more exposed to mental health. it should be normalized that there are people who are going through it and that's okay. it's a medical condition much like any other physiological conditions. a person with a condition is never described through their diagnosis and people should know that. i can only imagine how hard it is for you to adjust in an environment as such as the boarding school you attended but i'm glad you have a supporting family. you must love them so much :'). i hope you push through with your novel and tv show dream!! i'll be here to support you and i hope one day i'll see your name at the back of a book or in a credits role. damn, i'll be sooooo proud of you and i'll definitely remember our conversation :D YOU ALWAYS GET SIT NEXT TO A PROBLEM CHILD OHMYGOD YES ME TOO since i rarely talk and "obedient" i always get sit next to a problem child. i have variety of seatmates: one that always talks in class, the isolated, the weird one, aggressive and short tempered, the cool girl, the suspected gay (and is gay), the smoker, the guidance kid, etc. tho i end up in good terms with all of them LMAO tho the first days were soooo awkward

segway, yesterday i watched a documentary in netflix called "the most hated man in the internet" and HOLY SHIT THAT WAS WILD but i love it how a loving mother could save a number of women across america. if you haven't watched it i recommend you to go for it!! if you're interested in documentaries and crime :)
