I loved last night with him 💕 we danced for 4 hours. He bought me shots and then there was some fight lowkey and bro the quickness in which he protected me 😭😭 SHIT MADE ME DRIPPP😭 Then we kept dancing as if nothing happened and he kept up with me the whole night and then when the girl came up to me while I was with him and started dancing and we told each other how pretty we were 😩😩 I was so happy the whole night just dancing on him and having everyone look at us. Then he drove us to his apartment and was like “let me carry you princess” cause I was drunkkkk 😣 He took me to bed and we watched some Netflix show and kept warm all night. Then we spent the whole day together today. I took him to MYU MYU and boba and we went to see the cowssss💗 he wants to see me next Friday bc we’re both busy during the week so eek! He’s so cute Bru but I’m traumatized so taking it VERY slow well my definition of slow sksksk

Team Leckie Australia-ish AU
(It’s not set in Australia, it’s set in Indiana, because there’s no reason for it to be in Australia when you use these boys)
(For @malarked because look it’s our boys. On a farm. With cows)
Leckie’s uncle is the owner of a small Indiana farm which holds a lot of cattle (cowssss) and some crops and stuff
He dies. It’s sad.
Leckie is the one who ends up taking over the farm, since none of his siblings or other relatives are interested in it. Leckie doesn’t mind, however, because, hey, how hard can it be?
He also thinks it’s a great place to write, because it’s going to be quiet and out in the middle of nowhere without that many distractions.
(Boy is he wrong)
He’s met at the train station by Hoosier in his old rusty pick-up truck. Hoosier is the dude in charge of the cattle, and is basically just such an Indiana farm boy who thinks Leckie just looks like another spoiled city boy (Which he is, hello, it’s Leckie we’re talking about here)
The farm is kind of far out in the middle of nowhere, and while it’s supposed to only take an hour or two to drive there, it ends up taking all night.
Because the truck breaks and it’s too dark to fix it.
And they have to camp out in the back.
Hint: Leckie is not happy, because it’s hard and uncomfortable and Hoosier snores.
Hoosier also has a dog, which decides Leckie’s face is a very comfortable place to sleep.
Hoosier fixes the truck in the morning and they get on their way, reaching the farm just as Runner and Chuckler are about to sit down for breakfast.
Runner is in charge of the crops on the farm, while Chuckler does a lot of the heavy lifting and handywork around the place.
They help out with the cattle as well, because that’s the main thing on the farm and there’s no way Hoosier could move the cattle around on his own.
They both live in a small cottage on the farm, and are very much in love.
Hoosier and Leckie are not having a good time, and after unloading his things, Leckie goes straight into the main house and falls asleep on the couch.
He’s rudely awakened a few hours later by Hoosier asking him what the fuck he thinks he’s doing. Because, sure, Leckie might be the owner of the farm, but that doesn’t mean he can slack off.
So over the next few weeks Leckie gets schooled in how the farm works, all while balancing writing for a paper back in New Jersey on a distance.
(It’s not going well.)
Still, he quickly befriends both Runner and Chuckler and attempts to warm up to Hoosier, but it’s hard. They’re both really stubborn, and after getting off to such a bad start, both of them are reluctant to be the one to take the first step.
Droving season is coming up, however, and that means they’re going to have to bring the cattle in to the nearest big town to sell it. Leckie doesn’t understand why no one can come and transport them for them, but after looking at some figures and realising there’s not really that much money to go around, so they don’t really have that much of a choice.
Good to remember: Leckie is a city boy. He has never been on a horse before. They need to use horses to get around.
So Hoosier ends up having to teach him in under a week, which leads to more arguments and the other boys watching in amusement as they prepare what they need to bring.
Leckie is terrible, but he actually tries really hard and it actually helps Hoosier and him to bond. I mean, someone has to help him to bed and massage his back when he’s really sore each evening...
Hoosier is also invited to come live in the main house, because up until that point he has been sleeping in a corner of the barn, and Leckie feels a bit guilty about having so much space for himself. Plus, he’s starting to kind of like Hoosier. A little.
(But don’t tell Hoosier. Leckie is a Straight Boy™)
They head off anyway, a long journey ahead of them.
The first night takes Leckie by surprise as he realises there’s only two tents for them all to share. Runner and Chuckler are obviously sharing, which leaves Leckie and Hoosier to share the other.
Despite Leckie’s initial reluctance he realises it’s not that bad. While struggling to sleep, he finds himself watching Hoosier in the darkness, while listening to the crackling fire outside (kept lit by Runner for the first few hours), and he ends up taking Hoosier’s watch.
Spending the hours of his own and Hoosier’s watch watching the fire and the cattle, he gets some time to think and realise things.
That the time in Indiana hasn’t been too bad, and that he’s actually enjoying himself more than he thought he would.
That Hoosier isn’t too bad and that he’s really enjoying his company.
That he suddenly can’t see a life without the men he had befriended, and certainly not see a life without Hoosier.
The next night they all have a few drinks by the fire, and as Hoosier goes to check on the cattle before they head to bed, Leckie joins him. Tells him of what he has realised and waits for the other man to tell him how stupid he is.
Except that doesn’t happen.
Instead, Hoosier looks happy, and he pulls Leckie in by grabbing the collar of his shirt, hands snaking around his neck as he kisses him. Kisses him in a way no one has ever kissed Leckie before.
And Leckie kisses him back, suddenly knowing exactly what he has been missing for so long.
