my head is thinking thoughts, care to listen in?

you know what’s funny? i’m picturing my junior year self at high school— i never gave my future much thought, because at the time i didn’t see one. when someone would ask me “hey, what do you wanna do for your future?” id simply shrug my shoulders, not an image in my mind. even if i tried to imagine it, my mind would go blank. my brain chemicals happened to alter the way i saw my future— which was nothing.

now as i’m older and hopefully wiser, i’m finding myself worried about the same thing. why can’t i see my future? yes, while that’s scary and disorienting not knowing where your path could lead, where you want it to— i was missing the bigger picture. my younger self would be in awe to see me now, see that i’m indeed still here and kicking. even when she thought she wouldn’t be around the next day.

i know i’m getting real confusing, but hopefully you’re still with me— what i’m trying to get across is, you don’t technically need to worry too too much about your future. because it doesn’t exist… yet. the past can only be talked about with memories, with videos and pictures— but that doesn’t technically exist either. the only thing that exist is now. i shouldn’t be worrying about my future, only about my now. only about getting through today. because i can.

so yeah, it’s always good to plan ahead, stay on your toes. but don’t stress too much about your future when it’s changing every second of the day. your path will be carved for you, don’t worry 💗 still trying to tell myself that everyday, but i’m getting there.

I really need to get my Mac back up so I can get all the pics and videos I have on it off. I have sooooo many good things on there. But I also don’t trust that stuff wouldn’t get taken off if I took it somewhere. Is that a valid fear??? I feel that way about my phone too but I’ve had to turn that in for screen replacements. Maybe I’m being paranoid. But also…… *I* wouldn’t be able to not look… even though looking and taking are different. Still!
