5 Books Everyone Should Read

This is a collection of 5 books I believe anyone can read and gain something from them. These are all from different genres and I probably need to post a bigger "masterlist" of sorts when I have the time ! @siren-honey thank you for this question ! These books are some I read (or re-read) this past few weeks, so they are not my "all star" rooster but nonetheless they are great books!

The Bank by Marc Roche

This is an older book but its teachings still ring true. My dad bought this book many many years ago and it talks about Goldman Sachs and how the big banks and investment companies "rule the world ". Now I know that doesn't sound very exciting to read baout but it is great for anyone who wants to level up and open their eyes on what is really going on in the world. If you can not find the book and want to learn a bit about it, just send me a private message or an ask and I will post a summary <3

2. Why Men Love Bitches

Everyone and I mean, EVERYONE should read this book. Don't scrunch your nose because of the name! It helps you come in contact with your auntentic self and the wild feminine side of yours. Let your head down tiger ! It's time to show what you're made of.

3. Plato's Republic

A dialogue written by Plato. It doesn't only discuss the matter of "justice" but it also contains the "Allegory Of The Cave". Now, I'm studying history and philosophy so these texts are "easy" (lies!) for me to read and analyze (more lies! lol), but if you don't want to read thw whole dialogue just search it up online and read about the main points. You will still learn something !

4. 48 Laws Of Power

I'm a history buff. I love the way Robert Greene, in all of his books, combines history with psychology. Sadly, his teachings are right. This book will help you distinguish people and learn how to spot the good characters in your life. Anything by Robert Greene is great to read! You won't want to put it down !

5. The Richest Man In Babylon

This book is one of my favourites because it is a no bull$hit guide to wealth. It tecahes the fundamentals and shows that they never changed. As an example, many "wealth coaches" tell you to never buy a house and always rent, but right now we see that it is much cheaper to buy than rent. These cycles repeat themselves all the time and the author suggests you always have a home, big enough to live at comfortably or that you can rent and use as an investment property. The book is also a container of wise teachings on life in general.

Health is wealth. PERIOD. I love this book cause it shows the link between our brain, mindset and physical body. If you read just one book of all the ones I mentioned let it be this. As a society we have glorified wealth and wordly accomplishments and we have forgotten our temple, our vessel of life, our body!

What do you imagine eggmans father looks and sounds like?

I love coming up with a design and personality and concepts for Eggman's father so much, if they ever showed him in the game canon and he wasn't anything like what I've imagined him to be then I'd be devastated because I've become very attached to it dhajfkshdkghs

I've never been able to draw him how I want so describing will have to do. First of all, like Gerald and Eggman, I imagine he has a strikingly similar appearance because I like to think Gerald is the paternal grandfather. I never understood why non canon media went with otherwise but it made me sad. I want his dad to be a dilf with the classic sexy Robotnik family genetics too fhsjbdakdbskf

It makes sense for Gerald and Ivo to look to look so alike, as Ivo could possibly have been influenced by Gerald's appearance unintentionally, as well as having the genetics. So I don't imagine that his father is just another recolor for no reason and change it up a bit for him instead, though the resemblance is still strong for having those very unique Robotnik family genes of course.

I picture him with a very similar face to Gerald and Ivo with same structure, nose, and mouth. But a difference is that he actually had eyebrows and was balding too but tried to keep what hair he had left and Ivo never understood all the fuss and attachment, as soon as he got early male pattern baldness too he just shaved it all. XD He also wore glasses but a different style and also had a mustache but a lot smaller.

He was also fat as it was common for Robotnik family males to be heavyset but he wasn't quite as heavy as Ivo ended up, also not as tall as him, just like Gerald. He didn't have the gigantism type condition I imagine Ivo with as much either, though he still had above average proportions as another genetic thing. He also had blue eyes like Ivo canonically and I imagine Gerald had too. He also had Ivo's hair color.

His style was distinguished with the suits he wore as a businessman in Robotnik Corp and reflected his wealth, he had fancy outfits to wear to the casinos he liked gambling at which is what helped Ivo get into them too. The only times he dressed very casually was in the workshop and garage as his side work as a mechanic, which helped Ivo get his interests of vehicles and Ex Gear motorcycles and such.

He was also hardly ever not smoking, he was always seen with a cigar.

I've seen very few depictions of Eggman's father in fan stuff, especially ones that are to my personal liking, but I absolutely love this one. He's very close to how I've already imagined him being in my concepts for years, as you'll see he fits the description to a high degree. He looks so handsome and very well designed! I'd accept this in canon in heartbeat. 🥰

As for how he sounded, I imagine he had a bit of an accent like my Casino AU Eggman, which you can listen to here. He'd either sound very similar to how Mike Pollock does in those clips I used, or he could sound like how Deem Bristow voiced the character Kenny Sinclair, which you can also listen to in the post linked. Leaning towards the latter. It suits the personality and attitude I imagine him having well.

Are there a lot of things that make him quite like my Casino AU Egg but with less pink and sluttiness... yes lol. But that's the point as the version of his dad in the AU is mostly the same as my idea of main universe Egg's too and the only difference is that Casino Egg was more influenced by the casino stuff primarily, unlike modern who only took it up as side thing partially thanks to him.

If they ever revealed his father in a game and he was way different, then he'd still remain the Casino AU version of him forever because I'm so attached to the idea of him 💜

Sometimes I get incredibly sad thinking about how much my dad would love Six.

I can actually hear his ear-murdering rendition of Don’t Lose Ur Head if I think about it.  (Dude couldn’t sing.  What I think is my earliest memory is of me standing in my crib heckling him.)

His favorite would’ve been one of the Annes.

His crush on Sam Pauly would’ve been mildly off-putting but like I think it wouldn’t be hard to admit we all GET IT.  

He probably would’ve driven us both to DC or Boston for the Aragon Tour.

His crush on Gabriela Carrillo would’ve been unnerving because it’s never NOT weird to be attracted to the same person your parent is, but, like.  In a family where everyone’s interests merge into a Venn diagram that’s basically three circles barely distinguishable from the others, it’ll happen.

(And he would’ve loved spending that time with my friend’s daughter.)  

I am grateful for what is, but that doesn’t mean I cannot be sad for what isn’t.

I am nearly 40 and then I will have spent a complete decade of my life without him.  Thirteen years total now, I think.  

I wish I could’ve known him while I was a finally formed adult.  But, I guess, who knows who I’d be now if he were here.  I’m not sure I could be as stable as I am (which is kind of hilarious because lol that’s not very) if he were.  I’m not sure I’d be someone worth knowing then.  

Maybe it’s thirteen years away from him is what actually did it.  I hate to think that, but.  When your entire life is lived on the defensive it’s hard to not be a reactive asshole to the other people you love who don’t deserve it.

It still fucking sucks, though.  

I had a dream, not long ago, or maybe long ago, I don’t know what time is anymore, where I asked him if he’d still love me if I were a boy.  

My mom woke me up before he could answer, and that’s so on the nose if someone had written as fiction I’d roll my eyes.

glance: At first glance, what stands out most about your OC’s appearance? What’s their distinguishing feature?

Grey's most distinguishing features is that he dresses almost entirely in greyscale (his skin/hair/irises are also shades of grey) minus his earrings! He also has so many earrings that his (long) ears droop downward so that's definitely a really notable feature lol

face: Describe your OC’s face. What’s their smile like? Are their orbs cerulean? What would someone notice first when looking at them?

Grey has a long, smooth, and downturned nose, shaped eyebrows, slicked-back slate-grey hair that he keeps in a pony tail, purple-grey eyes, and those big-ol' drow-elf ears. He has a really serene smile that can turn devious depending on what he's doing! Grey's most noticable feature is probably his earrings and hair tbh.

motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?

He's like ridiculously smooth sometimes, but other times he's just well aware of his proprioception and handles himself well! He stretches regularly (seems like a yoga type tbh... I bet he has a daily routine of stretches he does before and after trancing) and has an easy time moving even if he isn't super physically strong. His clothing does definitely interfere with his motion since he tends to wear suits lol

informal: What’s your OC’s lazy-day look? How do they like to dress when they’re winding down?

pseudo-suit pajamas..... I think he has silk nightclothes (long-sleeve shirt and pants) that he also likes to wear when he's not going anywhere. I think he'd love turtlenecks too, as a step-down from full suits! Well-fitted dress pants are a near-constant though.

change: Has your OC ever drastically changed their appearance? Significant haircuts, big tattoos, complete wardrobe swap, etc? Why? How do they feel about the change?

This question rules because I decided to roll to see if Grey ever had a goth phase (it was a no uu) BUT he did drastically change his appearance before! He used to wear much flashier and brighter clothes and gave that up when his past beau ditched him. I honestly don't think he was the one who decided he should wear those brighter colors so I think he does enjoy the change!

Long ask ahead lol but I just got out of a Covid phase, my first time catching it, and my experience with the smell/taste loss was kind of weird. I can tell that everyone experiences the symptoms in a different way and to different degrees, unfortunately nothing is set in stone with this illness.

Personally, I only lost smell/taste on the third day after starting to notice symptoms (in my case, fever and severe body ache came first), and then I couldn't smell nor taste anything, and I noticed when I couldn't notice that my cats' litter needed a change lol. I had a congestion/stuffy nose as well (in fact, I still have it, but less that before), but the loss of smell and taste was absolute for two days before it slowly came back later, with or without congestion. I had a hard time eating w/o taste too, plus the overall sick feeling made me lose some appetite.

The best I can describe my experience is that it was like eating textures. Noodles were some soft slimy texture, crackers were a hard dry one, nothing had any flavor, no matter how much I'd season it. However, here's where it gets weird: I could still feel the kind of flavor they had if it was strong enough, without noticing the flavor itself (?). Like if I ate something salty, like potato chips, I could tell it was salty, as if my taste buds reacted the way they do to very salty flavors. But if it wasn't because I was looking at the potato chip, it didn't taste like potato chip, and it could as well be a teaspoon of salt, because it was the same feeling. No taste, just my taste buds reacting to salt and making my mouth feel like it had salt in it, without tasting the salt. If I seasoned something with salt (or something likely) I felt nothing.

It's similar with sweet flavors. I didn't taste any sweetness, even fruits were tasteless. But I'm guessing that since I love sweets, that's why I could feel my mouth getting more watery at sweet things, although I, myself, had no clue what it actually tasted like. Could be sugar, candy, chocolate, and it was all the same. And again, a soft sweet drink was tasteless. It's like my taste buds were on but muted or at a very low volume, lmao.

And it came back two days later, slowly, and by the next day I was able to smell and taste normally again, although I started having other symptoms instead. Today I fully recovered smell and taste, but I'm still with a small congestion and a cough every now and then, because I'm more short of air than before, and they say it could last some more weeks.

I hope it goes easy on you, make sure to stay hydrated and get lots of rest. I'm guessing that it depends on its severity and viral charge to determine how bad (and how many) the symptoms are, plus previous health conditions and such. But it's still hard to find two people going through it the same way, or recovering at the same pace. Take care and stay safe!

Aah, thank you so much for the input! Your experience is kind of similar to mine in the sense that I had other symptoms before I lost my smell and taste. :3 Knowing that it returned fairly soon is kind of a relief though.

In my case it also isn't as severe to the point where I can't taste or smell anything at all. I just need to really get my nose in there to smell something while otherwise I would be able to smell it from a distance. I can still distinguish tastes as well, but I need to really concentrate and they're not as intense either.

Right now, I've been craving stuff like toasted bread (because of that CRUNCH) and apples because they're juicy, crisp and slightly tart, which is one of the flavors I can still taste best. Also vanilla yoghurt with granola still tastes pretty good too. The yoghurt is refreshing and the granola adds texture so it doesn't feel like eating gloop.

On the flip side...I've always been a wuss when it comes to spicy food so maybe this is my chance to order some Indian or Thai food and actually be able to eat it lol. (Then die from cramps afterwards as IBS kicks my ass)

How much do you describe your characters? Do you leave their appearance intentionally vague or go into intricate detail? Something in between?

So I'm quite bad at this lol. I struggle to imagine faces or body types so they might have one or two defining features and that's it. So I'll say oh, this character is old, or they have blonde hair, or they have a crooked nose and nothing more haha. For me it's more about their personality, aura, and vibes so physical description is really only mentioned when it complements one of those things and is relevant to that part of the story. They're literally just little blobs to me. It's part of why I commissioned art for the main cast because one day I was like okay, I need to really figure out how these guys look lol.

I gave the room another pass when my body tightened nervously, and the breath departed my chest. Just along the back wall was a short human woman, adjusting a sheer pink shawl over her shoulders. Her hair, a soft sandy brown. Her skin, a pale olive color. And her waist…yes, small and pinched. Could it be…Miss Frère? No, it couldn’t be... She flipped her fan open and turned to look in my direction. My heart pounded hard in my chest. If it was her— No. No. It couldn’t be. I waited, like a fish gasping for life on the end of a fisherman’s hook, as her eyes lifted to meet mine. Through her lashes, I spotted a pale blue color, not at all like the gentle and warm almond of Miss Frère’s. And her face was all wrong too. Her features were too handsome. Miss Frère wasn’t ugly by any stretch of the imagination, but her face was not…well, it just wasn’t like that. She had a softness to her as if she were always being seen through fogged glass. One’s eyes could easily roll back and forth across the gentle slope of her cheeks and the tiny bow of her lips.

His lavender scales were lit beautifully by the low firelight in my tent and seemed to have a sheen to them of the most lovely violet. He was dressed as one might normally find him—in well-fitted trousers, a loose shirt, and a coat. Many trinkets dangled from him, though he seemed completely unarmed and his eyes, which I had only seen to hold ferocity, looked almost tender, making the whole of him appear dashing... But he, by contrast, looked to be handsomely carved of marble by some forgotten master. There was something easy about taking in his features… And the light in this place seemed to agree as it reveled upon the high points of his face and the shadows seemed to melt and fall asleep comfortably in his contours. At this distance, I could observe his eyes more closely than I’d ever had the chance to, and despite being the eyes of a predator, they were altogether enrapturing. He blinked, and a series of thin white eyelids moved under his outer one to perfectly frame the smoke-gray eye within them. His pupil was a vertical one with a thin ring of bronzy yellow just around it, and in their dark reflection, I could see myself.

Fay

She was leaning against one of the masts and somehow managed to look imposing and enchanting at the same time. Her face was long and elegant, each feature upon it well-defined and distinguished. Her eyes were a golden color that stood out against her skin and hair; both appeared the color of rain-dampened soil, rich and dark. There was something about how the very rigid quality of her nose contrasted with the easy nature of the waves in her hair that almost seemed like she could be nobility, but the rest of her told a different story.  She was tall for a human woman, probably standing close to six feet, and was lean-looking in build. She had no overt fullness anywhere, though that was not to say that she had no curves to mark her shape out, just that even with them, she appeared more like a racing dog or a wildcat. She was not armed from what I could see, but I took no comfort in that notion; she was plenty dangerous even without such implements. I gathered her to be a witch, as they were the only regular practitioners of rune inscription I knew of, and given our previous encounter, it was something she was clearly well versed in. Though now that I looked at her more closely, her fingers seemed to be blackened on the ends, and the nails upon them were long and sharp-looking. A sign that she wasn’t just any witch but one that practiced the dark arts.

Wilkes

His scales had become almost translucent but still managed to capture the light like some finely cut gem, and just underneath, I could see millions of tiny red veins chasing after one another. Even his eyes seemed to be alight with more fire than usual, smoldering like his own pair of setting suns. The opalescent sheen of his scales, the sealike swell of his sloped horns, and the feathery mane upon his head, all of him was beautiful as if he had been born for the sole purpose of being admired. And what wasn’t his by nature felt alive with his spirit all the same, for that ruby upon his forehead even thrummed with the frantic life of a third eye.

Greatest flaw (in their opinion): How selfless he can be sometimes. Riven treats others’ lives as more important than his own and will do anything it takes, even sacrificing himself, to keep them safe. A prime example of this is his relationship with Vivien. She is like a little sister to him and has been for most of his life, so he would do anything for her. He’s almost gotten arrested to protect her once when they were in an abandoned school and someone called the cops on them. He puts himself at risk for those he loves and he knows that will be his downfall someday.

Best quality (in their opinion): His best quality and greatest flaw are pretty much the same things - his infinite loyalty to those he considers friends/family.

Biggest fear: Dying. He’s had a few close calls before - one including a skating accident and another coming home from a band session on wet roads - and the thought of dying genuinely terrifies him.

Flamingo & Carnation for both Remus and Tonks

Flamingo for Remus: would you say you’re clingy in relationships and friendships?

Remus would've been clingier as a younger man, when he first wanted friends. He bent over backwards to keep his friends and make sure they liked him. I think he would've been attached to them early on. By adulthood, he's more like a skittish, feral cat with his relationships. With Tonks I think he went through various stages before a healthy relationship. First, "we're just friends but I want to spend all my time with you." Next, "get away from me I'm terrible for you." Next, "let's get married so I can be with you all the time." Then, LOL, "omg you're pregnant I've ruined you." Finally, "I'm not leaving your side. We're in this together." If they had survived, WHEN they survived, they would've had a new stage of their relationship of learning how to be in a healthy, post-war marriage. This is what I'm exploring in my current fic, Cariad!

Flamingo for Tonks:

At first, yes. I think when she's really into someone she gets clingy because she's excited about it (also why I think she develops crushes quickly). However, only something that can keep her attention will grow to a healthy relationship. She needs someone who challenges her but also gives her space to be herself, and that's what Remus does.

Carnation for Remus: how important are “looks” to you in a relationship?

Not super important, because attraction for him grows as he gets to know someone. He's probably trained himself not to look twice at anyone, if only so he doesn't get his heart broken knowing that no one will look twice at him. Things change with Tonks though - she looks at him A LOT!! At first, Remus thinks she's funny, clever, and kind, but as he gets to know her, he realizes how attractive she is. Ron once calls Tonks "okay-looking" if she didn't change her nose so much. I think Tonks is probably average in the looks department, without her morphing. To Remus though, she is unbearably gorgeous, beautiful, and sexy. This is all because of her personality and warmth for him, and her physical attractiveness only grows because of who she is as a person.

Carnation for Tonks:

When she's younger, she probably cares about it more. When she's older, she realizes it is less important. This is part of her own experience as a metamorphmagus. I think she probably went on various dates or had relationships in which she presented herself as very beautiful, and learned quickly that if someone wasn't into her personality, even if they thought she was pretty, it wouldn't work out. So this is why I think she chooses to have fun with her morphing (or look like a little old lady when they return the kids to Hogwarts in OoTP) because she knows that it's what inside that counts. I also think Remus is average in the looks department, and it's made a little worse because he's got premature lines, gray hair, and scars. However, as Tonks gets to know him, she sees the wisdom in his eyes, the distinguished-ness of his hair, the warmth of his smile, and how clever and kind he is. Though he's not conventionally "hot" or even muscular, she eventually drools for him and finds his scars very sexy.

Totally unprompted, I’ve decided to answer a few questions from these lists for Trin, so buckle in...

How does your OC feel about their full name?

First name (Trinity): Generally likes it, especially the fact that it has multiple layers of intended meaning and connotations (but more on that soon!)

Middle name (Elloise): Likes it, but she did select it herself, so that’s kind of cheating lol

Last name: Eh. She quite likes the cadence of the way her entire full name sounds aloud, and appreciates having a ‘short and snappy’ surname. But it does very frequently get misheard, mispronounced, and all that fun. I’d say it’s her least favourite aspect of her full name, but she still doesn’t have strong feelings against it

What do strangers notice about them first?

The gigantic scar across her face is pretty hard to miss. But oddly enough, Trin herself sometimes almost forgets that it’s there (to be fair, it’s not like she sees her own face very often) and gets startled by people’s first reactions to seeing it.

Do they have a “tell” for when they’re lying?

Probably trying to compensate for the lie by overexplaining herself in suspiciously specific detail.

What is their hair texture like?

Smooth, straight, and pretty thin. She dislikes the way the thin + straight combination causes her hair to fall once it has length beyond her head, which is one reason that she keeps it short (aside from practical reasons).

How much jewelry do they wear, and do they have a favorite or distinguishing piece?

She wears jewelry on occasion when it’s practical for her to do so. No specific favourite pieces, but she does sometimes hand-craft necklaces and earrings out of scavenged ‘treasures’, leading to a pretty distinctive style.

She has both earlobes and one nostril pierced (something I can’t replicate in game in 76 aaaaargh-), but doesn’t always wear anything in them. She can tend to get a little bit creative with earrings, but she’s too scared to add any sort of extra weight to her nose piercing, so that’s either a simple stud or nothing.

How has their childhood affected the way they view an aspect of their life (people, education, society, themselves, etc)?

Ah, I could literally sit down and write an essay on this very topic, but for now, I’ll stick to one facet and keep it fairly brief. Trin was raised between two factions that are both fairly isolationist and have firmly established social structures, but are very different from one another. As she was growing up, members of each group tended to primarily think of her as a member of the other, and therefore an outsider, and the memory of being treated accordingly has stuck into adulthood. So... yeah, permanent outsider mindset wherever she goes.

Another question where my response could get lengthy if I let it! In short, yes and yes

In-story, her name was specifically selected to help her remember where she came from and the errors of the past, but also not to immediately mark her as a member of one of the factions I mentioned (who typically have a distinctive naming style)

Out of universe, many of the above reasons still apply, but also, the very first idea I had for her concept was actually a set of triplets, and so I got to sneakily reference her being- essentially- the fusion of three people into one

Does their fashion sense reflect an aspect of their personality? (ie bright and colorful outfits symbolizing that they’re an upbeat person)

Her fashion sense is confusing, to say the least. She uses multiple different and sometimes conflicting styles, and combined with a love for bright colours, it can make her very noticeable. I suppose it very much fits with her faction identity crisis and desire to be seen for who she really is...

How do they feel about romantic relationships?  Are they into casual flings or more serious, long-term romances? Or are they uninterested?

She’ll have absolutely none of that. She’s firmly aroace, and I get the impression she might be completely romance repulsed. She’s especially not a fan of people assuming that her and her closest friend (who, just to make it even better, is also ace lol) are a couple, which happens quite a bit.

Hiromu Takahashi starting a speech when he was just supposed to pose and then sit XD

There are sunflowers on his back

Hiromu Takahashi - gives long and passionate speech and performs a song. YOH - “Hi. I am going to do my best. ✌”

Ryusuke Taiguchi - looks like a distinguished old man but he is talking about his butt so I believe my guess of “looks normal is insane” is pretty accurate

I am OBSESSED with watching the other competitors reacting as people.  speak. YOH looked like he was trying not to laugh at Taiguchi

YOH - I was not expecting his voice to be that deep. His epithet and the way he says it makes him sound like a Kamen Rider character (complimentary) but he too serious for that hmmmmm. I am intrigued.

Clark Connors - was SHOOK when be started speaking Japanese. Had very sweet things to say about the fans, which goes against the vibes he was giving me, but noice noice.

Kanemaru - he talked about Taiguchi’s butt, for some reason, and YOH looked like he was desperately trying not to laugh XD

Taiji Ishimori - went through a list of competitors by name or epithet and I was following along till he got to “wrench guy.” Seems v intense. Wants to break everything, I’m here for it.

SHO - Also says literally almost nothing aldkfja ldsk f I saw something earlier that implied he and YOH used to be a team?? (Edit after a google - oh Roppongi 3K! Rocky Romero managed them. Seems like they had a breakup? which is so sad because they have matching names.)

Ace Austin - His sunglasses are everything. He looks like a combo of an anime cosplayer and a Gambit (X-Men) cosplayer. Watching him (as far as I know, couldn’t find out for sure when I googled) not understand anything that’s being said so really cashing in his facial reactions when Clark Connors was talking was delightful. I skimmed the results of BoSJ night 1 and apparently he cut the webbing of someone’s fingers with a playing card, which is EXACTLY what I would expect from a person from Impact (affectionate). No idea how to feel about this guy. WHAT IS THE STICK FOR? IS IT A POOL CUE? A POINTER STICK? A STABBY BOI?

Distracted by YOH in the background - he either looks like he’s going to laugh or like he’s #so above it all lol. He’s like actively avoiding making eye contact with the camera. He is nodding.

They are translating Austin’s speech now. He nommed his card, which seems t obe a thing for him. Then he stuck it back in his sleeve. Does he have a special compartment for that?

Alex Zayne - this man looks like an action anime vampire. I’ve never seen Helsing but that one.The only part of his outfit that is not red is his tie and his gages. I love the angle he’s doing with not being signed, creative! I am fascinated by his hair but v put off by “sauce.” You do you tho, man!

Franciso Akira - Ah, the Italian. YOU’RE 22? HE’S YOUNGER THAN ME. I would say that her absurdly small size is the first thing that really stands out. She's so very tiny; not just short, but overall a tiny person. After that, definitely her eyes.

She has chubby cheeks, enormous brown eyes, a nose that's a little crooked (thanks to her ex-husband) and splattered with freckles, a scar above her right eyebrow, a beautiful smile that makes those cheeks really stand out.

Esme is five foot one, and maybe 120 pounds. Nothing could ever make her appear taller, so everything she wears makes her look short lol. She can still shop in the junior kids section lmao. She loves casual clothes the most; sweats, leggings, yoga pants. And she's always in baggy shirts. Always.

She's extremely flexible and coordinated. She was into sports when she was younger and still moves like an athlete. And she's surprisingly strong for such a little thing.

She tends to twirl her hair a lot when still. Or chew on her thumb nail or bottom lip.

Esme has several scars from her ex husband. Especially on her back from where he TRIGGER WARNING: assaulted her with an electrical cord of an appliance. Small scars on her jaw line from having it wired shut, above her right eye, one that goes through the top and bottom lip (when mouth closed) on the left side of her face. She also has several tattoos and used to have several piercings. She's ditched them all over the years.

Carrie’s Basic Info

Whilst I try to get back into the swing of writing TMM after my holiday, I thought I’d put together a little mash-up of some of the character posts you’ve done for your characters, Danelle, but with the only OC of mine that has any real development: Carrie! So hopefully you have fun learning a little more about her!

I couldn’t really find any actresses that I feel totally match how I picture her to be, but I loved that post you did where you put all the different actors for your characters together for each decade, so I gathered together 4 throughout the ages that at least somewhat fit her. 

So, going from left to right, for current times we have Florence Pugh (which I never really thought about until I saw her in the Don’t Worry Darling trailer, and then as soon as I saw her with that beehive hairstyle it all clicked lmao), for the 60s we have Jane Fonda (I mean come on, that hair is perfect for Carrie lol), for the 90s we have Sharon Stone (she has Carrie’s little smirk there down to a tee) and for the 80s we have Kelly Preston (I know I’m basing a lot of these on hair alone, but that permed hairstyle she had in the 80s has Carrie written all over it lmao - she would have really thrived in the 80s).

Greatest flaw (in reality): Her obsession with her image and how the world sees her, especially when she lets it cloud her better judgement (besides her fiery temper, jealous streak and raging narcissism, of course) 

Best quality (in their opinion): Apart from the talent she built her career around, probably her loyalty - she's very much ride or die for those that she really cares about, which is something she values in others, so naturally she thinks it’s her best quality too

Best quality (in reality): Whilst she sees it as a flaw, her deep connection with her emotions is actually one of her best qualities - she's so passionate about her relationships (both romantic and friendly/familial) that she puts her whole heart and soul into everything she does for them; and will often go out of her way just to show them how much she cares. Plus it's super useful for her job; after all, it's what makes her such a good actress. 

Biggest fear: Failure. Failure in her career. Failure in her relationships. She just hates the idea of disappointing people. That's why she's so dedicated to her work; she's scared of doing a bad job and ruining her reputation. She's scared of letting her parents down after all the money they funnelled into her dance classes and singing lessons. She's scared of destroying her relationship with Miles because she keeps failing to fit in with his family. She doesn't want kids because she's scared that she'll fail as a mother since she's got such a demanding job. But then she's scared that she'll be failing Miles because he's such a family-oriented guy and she won't be giving him a family of his own. I could go on and on lmao. But yeah, as the ego-centric, go-getter she is, failure is definitely her biggest, and deepest fear. Needles and spiders are probably the answers she'd jump to first though ngl. 

Favourite ice cream: In her world, cookie dough. But when she went to Mick's world and discovered salted caramel it was a total gamechanger. 

Favourite colour: Actual colour-wise, like an aqua blue. But failing that, gold…or anything glittery, tbh. 

Favourite number(s): 1…duh! Or 20 because it's her birthday date.

Favourite movies: Her go-tos are Gentlemen Prefer Blondes or Mamma Mia (depending on the century/universe she’s in lol). But the real answer, that she would rather die than admit 90% of the time, is the 1950s Disney Cinderella cartoon. It’s been her favourite ever since she was a little girl - it’s just the most beautifully magical love story in her eyes; nothing else compares. Plus, she’s always been a dreamy, Disney Princess girly at heart - under all the bravado and occasional bitchiness. But if she ever gives up that information, you know for a fact it’s not by free-will - and whilst the select few that do know think it’s adorable, they do dish out their fair share of lovable teasing. 

Favourite songs: She's such a music-oriented person that this was super hard, but I'll narrow it down to just a few… It's All Coming Back to Me Now by Celine Dion (to belt in the shower); About Damn Time by Lizzo (to dance around in her underwear to); Lucky by Britney Spears (because she feels like she can relate); Tonight from West Side Story (a song from her time she just thinks is beautiful) and I’m The Greatest Star from Funny Girl (her favourite song to perform since it’s so good at inflating her ego)

A place they want to visit: Paris, partly for the shopping, but mostly for the food. It does help that Miles is desperate to go there too though…
