Ya know, normally I'd be happy that the antagonists of the show would be some shady authoritarian organization that is obsessed with rules and bureaucracy and putting LITERALLY the ENTIRE UNIVERSE into this little box with all of these hard lines and rules
because it'd be the perfect offset and opportunity to truly showcase the fact that Loki is a Trickster: someone whose entire nature is breaking rules, pushing boundaries, forcing people to examine why they do what they do and question their entire points of view, someone clever and cunning who goes against the grain and breaks entire systems down and highlights the absolute absurdity and more important, the HYPOCRISY of organizations such of that
....
But let's be honest the writers aren't clever enough for that.

Reason #72495861 why the whole "the Avengers were meant to do that" argument is bullshit in Canon in universe in the Loki tv series.
So, the Avengers were meant to go back in time, kill 2014 Thanos, get the other Infinity Stones, etc, huh?
That is what the writers have told us.
However, if literally anyone with two braincells took two seconds to think about this, it makes no goddamn sense.
1. If the Avengers were meant to go back in time and do all of this then arguably that would mean that Cap and Tony were meant to fuck up getting the Tesseract the first time around, and ergo Loki was meant to escape.
And if anyone tries to tell me that "well yeah they were meant to do that but he wasn't meant to escape" I will literally put your head through a wall. You seriously expect Loki (I mean not just Loki, really anyone with half a sense of self preservation and a working brain) to see an opportunity to escape and just... not take it. Why? What reasoning would he have to not take the chance to escape when it came up? He didn't know about the variant timelines or the TVA or any of the events that were happening.
2. IF THEY KILL 2014 THANOS THAT MEANS THANOS WOULDN'T BE AROUND IN THE FUTURE TO CAUSE THE SNAP WHICH WOULD MEAN THEY WOULDN'T HAVE ANY REASON TO GO BACK AND KILL 2014 THANOS WHICH IS, SAY IT WITH ME PEOPLE, A P A R A D O X!
...
So yeah. Marvel + Disney should have just been upfront and honest with us and instead said, "Look. We didn't think this through, and we needed a scapegoat. So Loki is going to take the fall for it."

I find it hard to believe that there isn’t candy on Asgard but Loki knows what the hell a robot is.
