Tu Hwnt i’r Bont (Beyond the Bridge) Got to see this beautiful tea room in  Llanrwst just after the foliage peaked but it was still a spectacular sight. We also sampled their coffee and cake, who wouldn't, which fortified us for the rest of the day. #tuhwntirbont #llanrwst #ukscenery #travelgram #snowdoniapics #snowdonianationalpark #walesneverfails #britains_talent #autumnlight #coloursofautumn (at Y Bont Fawr - Llanrwst Bridge) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClODm5ijxjt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hi! First of all, I love your fics! I never get tired of going back and rereading them and I looooooove how you made playlists to go with them! (the it's always ourselves that we find in the sea playlist is godtier) I really love the descriptions of the countryside that you wrote in I'm almost me again (to the point where I've started planning for a future trip to England). Did you base the town on anywhere in particular???
hi!! thank you so much for reading them and listening to the playlists! that one is probs my favourite too, I pretty much listen to 1 of the songs on it on repeat while writing lmao.
omg that’s amazing, I hope you have a fun time!! I didn’t really base it on a particular town, but the tea house itself is based on a real place in Llanrwst, Wales. It’s called tu hwnt i’r bont (beyond the bridge in Welsh) and I’ve always loved the place so I wanted to write a fic with it as the focal point but had to shift it closer to the English Channel for the whole getting to Paris thing. but it’s a proper tea house in a Grade II protected building and serves traditional Welsh foods like bara brith (it’s one of our bread recipes) and is right on the river and everything.
maybe I’m biased but the countryside in Wales is my favourite and this is right near Snowdonia as well, but if you were planning on going anywhere else I’d say start in Scotland like Lena did! the highlands and even surrounding countryside is really beautiful there too. but if you feel like drinking tea on the river this is what the cottage looks like heading into autumn:

Hi! Are you Welsh? I’m going to Wales for four weeks in October and I’m excited. I am confused by the language ngl, so any advice would be wonderful or any places I should visit near Llandudno? Thanks!
Loving the Ghosts posts.
I am in Wales! But nowhere near Llandudno unfortunately and the last time I was up that neck of the woods was definitely closer to ten years ago than not. You'll have loads of opportunity to hear some Welsh though.
I think it'll really depend on whether you have a car or not as there are loads of things to see around North Wales but I don't know if public transport gets you everywhere.
So... off the top of my head: Pretty sure there's a chocolate tour shop thing in Llandudno- its a seaside town so its got the associated seaside-y attractions and then theres the Ormes that I suppose you can walk?
You're about an hour away from Eryri so you could climb to the summit (or take the train up) or book tickets for Zip World or Bounce Below (the trampolines in the slate mines).
Bodnant Gardens isn't too far either I don't think nor is Llanrwst where the pretty cafe (Tu Hwnt i'r Bont?) covered in ivy by the bridge is if you want a pretty instagram picture! And I think Ty Hyll is a little further down the road and also has a cafe.
You could drive over to Ynys Môn and do a tour of the castles?
It really depends on what you find interesting or enjoyable, what your budget is and how accessible you find things... which isn't much help- sorry! Hope you have a great time though!
