I think it’s really weird and uncomfortable whenever you talk about KLH you don’t seem to ever bring up that the story is explicitly based in xenophobia and how JMD himself only included Kraven in it because he read russian literature one time and genuinely believed he understood everything about “the russian experience” and of russian culture etc. Like whatever if you like him as an author or whatever but I think it’s really harmful to keep perpetuating the extremely dehumanising attitude of Kraven in the story- of acting as though he was just this Crazy Unhinged Guy when like he’s written as that crazy violent guy explicitly bc of the fact he’s not American (as part of a long legacy of Spiderman comics being xenophobic and dehumanising non american characters) and where despite it being “about Kraven” it’s always about Peter (An American man) First and Foremost, not to mention the fact the story literally has him kill himself on panel like that’s a really weird attitude to have about a man's suicide fictional or not, esp with acting as though Peter Deserved to go absolutely berserk on him and brutalise him as though thats like A Good Thing To Happen. Idk it’s just uncomfortable and continues hurtful ideas
thanks for bringing this up … i just woke up so i need to ruminate on in some but i wanted to post it so other people could see

I think I hate high school theater so much because what the hell do you learn if youre not the lead?
I learned how to act from my privet lessons my parents paid for. I didnt learn how to act for shit from my theater teacher.
Like, can't we do something where kids bring in monologue and solos? Have kids do scenes together? Its not as glamours as a production, but at least if I send my kid to that class I can see progress. Your kids going to learn more in popcorn reading in their literaturw class than theyre going to learn being in an all white production of hair spray.

Love that the Stephen King self-insert is the leader of the group in It... Same energy as Jane Austen making Jane the smartest daughter in Pride and Prejudice. I respect that

Keep making old school stuff. That’s the ticket. There’s a market out there that loves how you do the classic stuff. Good ole boy attitude. You can be two feet tall, man. But if your messege is conveyed in a sense that a person can resonate with. Well, youve just about mastered the Art of Communication haven’t you? Despite what you may believe about yourself, you’re Gold to the average Schmuck.

My wonderful cast of JULIUS CAESAR gave me this necklace! It says, “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves." ”
