jeonghan is a devil in the disguise of an angel, everyone knows that. even carats adore his mischievous personality and tricks that he pulls on his members.

but the thing is that behind closed door, he truly is an angel. for you and only you.

“baby, do you want some coffee?” jeonghan asked, looking over his shoulder at you. his bare face was glowing, dark hair tucked behind his ear. he even let you put a hello kitty clip to keep them in one place. he was met with seungcheol’s teases but he ignored them.

“yes, please” you replied, eyes laser focused on the jenga tower in front of you.

it was 10 in the morning and you woke up like an hour ago from the sleepover you had with him and cheol. because they couldn’t join their members on tour, you decided to bless them with your amazing self.

“make me one too” cheol hummed and slowly but surely pulled out a wooden block.

now who jeonghan was to follow his leader’s orders?

you caught his cat-alike smirk painting on his lips and sighed.

“hannie, don’t be mean. make him a coffee too” you said, voice gentle. seungcheol looked at him confused, lips forming into a pout.

“listen to your partner…” he grunted and shook his head, adding more quietly underneath his breath “…if you don’t listen to me, listen to them at least”

couple of minutes later he joined you with three steaming cups. with your preferred coffee in your favorite mug and a simple one for seungcheol, even though he wasn’t a fan of plain black coffee. the oldest ignored that, just rolling his eyes.

you joined jeonghan to watch the boys practice, yet you two were slumped over the couch there.

in no time jeonghan began playing with your hair, fingers gently caressing through your h/c locks.

mingyu glared at you two curiously, nudging hoshi. the younger one grinned, heart melting upon the cute act of love blooming between you two.

jeonghan grabbed your face, cupping your cheeks and cooing at you.

“you’re so adorable, baby” he hummed and pecked your lips.

“but hannie, the boys–” you grunted through your squeezed cheeks. he just chuckled, mischievously smiling.

“i don’t care~” your boyfriend sing-sang happily “you’re my baby~”

placing another kiss on your lips, he hummed into it like a pleased cat that’s getting belly rubs.

“ew, get a room!” hoshi yelled, drawing a laugh from other members.

your cheeks turned beetroot red as you smacked jeonghan’s arm. he just shrugged and linked pinkies with you, playful smirk dancing on his features.

if jeonghan could, he’d give you the world, the stars, everything in this universe and back. and seeing you struggle or in pain was the last thing he wanted. but he knew that there are some things that you have to go through by yourself, like your finals.

“i could dress up as you and pretend i’m you!” your boyfriend teased one day when you clearly needed support, head almost blowing with the amount of knowledge you have to obtain.

so in times like this, when you’d spend nights studying and struggling with life, jeonghan knew that you need him. and that every thing, even a small one can be challenging.

“hannie, i made the bed today. i used a new–“ you started when he entered the bedroom. his eyes instantly went wide as jeonghan threw himself on the fresh sheets.

“ah, it smells so good!” he took a deep breath and hummed in delight. patting the spot next to him, he sent you a reassuring smile.

so you joined him, his arm almost instinctively wrapping around yours.

“my baby made the bed, good job” jeonghan smiled tenderly, brushing the strand hairs out of your face. you smiled, looking at his soft features “i’m proud, really. we’ll sleep comfortably tonight, hm?”

you nodded and turned, wrapping your arms around his waist and clinging onto your boyfriend like a koala.

“i’m tired” you mumbled quietly.

“i know, pretty. just a few moments more and you’ll rest. you’re so smart, you know? i believe in you” jeonghan kept reassuring you, his tender touch ghosting over your face “my cute baby, hm? no matter how you do on the exam, i’m proud of the effort you put in”

you smiled, inhaling the scent of fresh sheets and jeonghan’s cologne.

“my cutie…” he singsang and started lulling you to sleep with his angelic voice. not like you complained, you could use a nap either way.

svt reacts; to you wanting to do their favorite hobby with them.

s.coups - he jumps around like a cute little puppy. he'd most likely grab you by the hands and start swinging you around (while jumping). flashing that pretty gummy smile he has any chance he gets as well. he might even throw a few kisses in there to show his appreciation of you joining him.

jeonghan - would be shocked at first but afterwards he'd literally drag you out of the house to the place. imo, he'd even find a way to throw some type of teasing into it (probably the way you did whatever it was).

joshua - it'd feel like an entire celebration, especially since you don't usually do what he likes willingly. he's a very unique soul so you'd used to say "____ is the last thing i'd do" but now, it might even become your own hobby.

jun - just like s.coups, he'd be so happy that he'd even do a little dance. besides that, he'd be extremely happy. even jumping around as you both walk down the street. including the excessive talking. "jun!! calm yourself" "i can't~ i'm so excited and i can't wait to show you the best part of ___".

hoshi - as a dancer, he'd definitely be super excited. especially since dancing is something he's so very passionate about. as a boyfriend seeing his s/o starting to enjoy something he LOVES so much (literally) is so special to him.

wonwoo - depending on his feelings, he'd be happy for you to join. i mean as his s/o why wouldn't he want you being open to doing his favorite thing. but if it's a bad day he'd probably wanna do it alone.

woozi - if it's producing the most you can do is watch. producing is something obviously important to him and (not saying you'd be a distraction, i'm sure he loves you very much) he'd rather not be distracted while working. if it's anything else he'd be so happy to let you participate with him.

dk - this cutie would definitely tell all his friends. probably in the seventeen group chat being an absolute simp for you. "THEY REALLY WANT TO ____ WITH ME GUYS IM SO EXCITED". it'd probably be the most excited he is (even though dokyeom becomes the cutest little baby when he's with you or talking about you).

mingyu - he'd def BRAG. unlike dokyeom, instead of freaking out he'd be so nonchalant about it to his friends. even claiming that he knew that you'd want to do something he loves. of course the other boys don't buy it. i'm sure we all know that mingyu would be flipping his shit deep down, even if he doesn't vocalize it.

the8 - wouldn't tell ANYONE. compared to the rest of the 97z he'd want to make sure that he spends every moment with you. it's just the idea of doing something he loves with the person he loves that makes him so so sooo happy. even during the moment he'd either throw in a kiss or a small 'thank you'. and he's really grateful that he has you.

seungkwan - a little similar to mingyu, but instead of saying it he'd show it. he'd buy small little gifts from the place and have you take it everywhere with you. just in case people ask, you can say "oh me and my boyfriend did..." and make them jealous.

vernon - kind of like wonwoo, sometimes vernon just wants to be alone when doing his favorite thing. there are times when he does let you join him and DONT GET ME WRONG he loves every minute he spends with you. he usually lets you spend his personal times with him atleast 3 times a month and you're totally okay with that.

dino - he absolutely FLIPS. once you first told him you'd be interested in one of his hobbies he literally cartwheeled. to know that his lover would really like to enjoy the same thing as him makes him so excited. just you thinking about him and the things he likes lets him know you both have such a healthy relationship.

no actually tho im not the greatest at articulating it but he is floating and it looks that way bc not everyone possess the musicality and the pure strength and control over their bodies to be able to make a performance look that seamless. the best mundane thing I can think to compare it to is maybe a cartoon or an animation where u know the illustrator has manipulated the character’s limbs to behave a certain way but he’s a real life living human that can do these, things w his body that do not look as though they’ve been executed by some guy in his 20s. like when I say u have to have the strength down in the tips of ur fingers and toes to be able to utilize ur tool (which in dancing and performance is ur body) in the way he does? LIKE HE’S AHHHHHHH

it’s also bc he finishes his lines. you would think that’s simple but a lot of kpop bg dancers dance in a very,,,,compact manner??? you can make yourself look taller and your movements more graceful if u stop trying to dance in a 4x4 box around ur chest so ur forearm veins stick out beloveds i promise,,,

Maybe my unpopular opinion is that she really is just Mom character. protective of her son and would do anything for him. we never see her interests/passions. Or things she does that doesnt revolve around her son. Im not counting ATB bc atb hoshie doesnt have personality outside of having a crush on tenma. Sorry this one's taken a bit to answer; but, I am soooooo glad you like the series and the characterizations and just, ahhh, thank you so much!

So, random friendship headcanons we go....

Hinata and Aone:

-So, Aone is one of the current Prefects where he's amazing and everybody loves him. But, earlier than that and back in first year when Hinata was trying to figure him out a bit because "wow, he's huge and kind of scary but he plays Quidditch so he has to be cool and he's a Hufflepfuff so that's probably good but he also kinda looks like he wants to murder me but maybe he means that in a good way". Anyway, Hinata had a habit of getting lost on his way to Quidditch practice and weirdly almost always ending up next to bathrooms. Until one day, he came back to his room and found a carefully drawn little map with a lot of the major hallways detailed on it. It didn't have a name but, months later, he recognized it as Aone's handwriting and it was one of the kindest things that had ever happened to Hinata at that point. After that, they had an unspoken bond and Hinata only got lost 83% of the time.

Kageyama, Yachi, and Kenma:

-I don't know if I've ever mentioned; but, I need these three as my socially anxious "oh, fuck, someone's talking to me ABORT ABORT how tf do I make small talk" friends. Sure, they all have vastly different responses (Kageyama: Yell at it or glare until it goes away; Yachi: Hide or maybe mutter anxiously; Kenma: grab nearest book and hope they go away) but every now and then they'll have a moment when Lev and Hinata are being particularly Extroverted (TM) when those three just look at each other and go "right, they're the crazy ones here" (No shade to all my extrovert friends, ya'll got Hinata and Lev over there being like "I think our friends need more company!!!!! :D" while the social anxiety trio hiss like angry cats in the corner)

Iwaizumi and Bokuto:

-Voted (in their friend group) "Most Likely to Go the Longest Without Getting Into Any Kind of Mortal Peril" for four years running. I honestly think that except for having the friends they do that the worst trouble Iwaizumi and Bokuto would ever get into would be Quidditch related. That said, I also think both of them would be bored out of their minds since all of them are some kind of brand of danger prone. However, on the days that Bokuto and Iwaizumi are left to their own devices, two things happen: (1) absolutely nothing and it's a peaceful day; (2) everyone comes back to the two in some strange competition--including arm wrestling (Winner: Iwaizumi), orgami (Winner: Bokuto), card stacking (Tie as they decided to work together to combine card stacks into the ultimate card castle....everyone was as disturbed as they were impressed). Idk how to describe it but in terms of energy Iwaizumi and Bokuto have the low-fi version of bro energy where it's equally strange but somehow nothing's on fire...like it would be for any of the other pairings

Daichi and Noya (or also the beginning of the Crows)

The story of how Daichi looked at those crazy Gryffindor first years and went "well, someone's gotta make sure they don't die": Daichi's second year was a strange one. He'd finally made it to the reserve Keeper on the Quidditch team and there was talk that he could take over next year while at the same time that batshit wild first year with the crazy hair turned out to be some kind of flying prodigy and was immediately made Seeker.

Who's a good person to keep an eye on him? "DAICHI," cheers the rest of the Quidditch team. "Wait, what," says Daichi who was late to the meeting. And, thus, Daichi became the father of one (soon two as he learned Tanaka and Noya were a package deal). "Well, at least I'm not doing this alone," said Daichi. "W-what do you mean," said Victim #2-also-named-Asahi.

And, thus X2, Noya and Tanaka (plus Ennoshita who was dragged along with), got two live-in babysitters...one more effective than the other since Asahi got an immediate crush and was completely unhelpful in actually stopping anything since he just kind of blushed and stuttered whenever Noya smiled at him.

Chaos reigned.

Noya and Tanaka friends with the centaurs, made beginning plans to ride the Giant Squid (didn't actually make friends with it until second year), and gave Daichi a lifelong fear of acromantula.

You see, our poor hero Daichi was very fed up and more than a little exhausted. But, at least he had Asahi. "They're really not that bad," Asahi insisted. "I gave Noya a Butterbeer earlier and he said--" Nevermind, Daichi was completely alone.

However, while Daichi debated the pros and cons of child abandonment, he happened to come across an unusual sight.

The sight was Noya, dirty and slightly bruised like he always seemed to be, but holding a small little thing in his hand that took Daichi more than a few seconds to realize what it was.

"Is that a bowtruckle?"

Noya grinned. "Yeah. Little guy fell out of his nest." He nodded up at a tree. "Took me forever to get him to come over. Bowtruckle's are skittish and don't trust people much."

Daichi blinked. "Aren't those nearly extinct and used for lockpicking."

"Yeah, probably why they don't trust people much."

Theoretically, Daichi knew that bowtruckles were incredibly, incredibly rare and that there was more than one magical creatures student that would cry just seeing one, let alone knowing there was a whole nest on campus.

...But, that would also mean that everyone else would know about it, too, and somehow Daichi didn't think that everyone else would handle the little creatures with the same care and patience that Noya did. Actually, come to think of it, Daichi wasn't sure that even he could. Funny enough, Daichi had never seen Noya actually quiet before.

In the end, Daichi helped Noya out with a good Levitation Charm and decided that maybe it wasn't that bad being a single parent at the ripe old age of twelve years old. At least he had some pretty good kids.

.....he has since vocally regretted that roughly 2,012 times and actually regretted it 0.

okay okay before i get into what i have to say let's make it clear that rankings through out kingdom meant nothing to me so i might sound more passionate than i actually am about this topic. but from what i have been seeing there might be a reason as to why tbz came second and that is because of their korean fanbase. which i think might have been the one advantage they had from participating on road to kingdom, since the korean market eats up this kind of entertainment and investing time/voting for someone they became fond of to reach their goals. example, the produce series and the absolute hit that every group that came out of it was (even x1, literally breaking records in the split second they had together). once the whole voting scandal was outed, i saw this on street interview that showed how dissapointed the viwers were that all the time and energy they used to make their favorite trainees debut was pointless and useless. and im talking people, every age but also a lot of students, who sit together with their families to follow and root for their favorite contestants.

now, if you bring this into the whole "narrative" of tbz """fighting""" through rtk and now agaisnt """bigger""" groups, it's not that surprising to think that those fans who adopted them back in the begining of last year (which, let's say its around half of the fanbase) would also try their hardest to get them to win, because it was the goal for them since the begining of rtk. i was over on twitter a few days before the finale, and their korean fans were streaming and strategizing every way possible to make them a bit closer the trophy, i even laughed because most international fans were saying how the korean part of the fandom was carrying the entire thing.

but if you think that the other groups also have insanely strong national fanbases, which puts me in an odd spot as to if the "longest competitors" theory make sense, so i might have spoken a bunch of crap right now.

also, again, i think none of this matters because what exactly did skz win? literally, i cannot tell you who won queendom because my pea sized brain couldn't retain that information for more than three months. and the only reason we might still remember that skz won kingdom is because their fans might not let us forget about it, so what can you really do? i just hope that this could somehow affect the grandness of awardshow stages or special stages, you know. like getting to watch kingdom-like, well prepared stages at ever end of the year awards would be a pleasure. mnet, give btob that last performer spot and you might catch me sitting through the entire mama only to watch them do their magic

i mean, i get it because my family watched sytycd for YEARS together and i watched all 20+ hours of sdc3 while it was airing but like.....you can't vote in for american televisions shows from canada and we just don't have the same type of voting/sunk cost fallacy culture?? i mean it might just be my particular family but we very much had the attitude of like "ah it is time for us to watch these tiny people do their tiny dances in the magic box for our entertainment, but as soon as this hour is over we go back to our normal lives and don't think about it all."

yea, there isn't actually a tangible outcome of show for the winners, other than bragging rights. they say that the prize is a reality show but like....do single group-based reality shows really catch a larger audience, or are they just feeding content back to the diehard fans. and the way that the youtube algorithm works, any one of these groups could self produce something regardless of who won and it has just as much chance of getting bumped. half the comeback teasers and mvs that i see are spit up through my recommended videos anyways. but i do agree in that i hope what actually gets taken from the show is new methods in theatricality to change up the way stages are produced, especially at the end of year shows and special stages. i do think we're maybe starting to see some of it? i mean hoshi's special stage for spider was phenomenal and that was before this mostly started, but have you seen the mx stages for gambler?? i think that's gonna be the first comeback that i cover after i finish kingdom posts, because those stages (especially the inkigayo one) are excellent. if awards shows start encorporating more intergration of intentional camerawork and narrative driven choreo into their stages, their viewer retention rate would be SO much higher. like you said, we'll all be sitting our asses through everything to see eunkwang sing like his life depends on it.
