Not touchy at all! (i honestly cant remember if i announced it here on tumblr)

I ended up abandoning the project (so sorry to all those that were looking forward to it!! I sort of fell out of love with what i was working on and the dsmp as a whole after techno passed (no shade to any of the creators, they're all gems). So it was a bit useless dragging it out.

My twitch chat did bring up the idea of me posting what I had done already. But it's not an idea i'm too fond of (i'd have to do extra work to make sure everyone can access everything i finished. Unfortunately i don't have time to actually do that.) Also I don't want an unfinished game out on the internet with my name if that makes sense.

(also also i've kept the youtube videos/streams I spent making of this up. I'm still proud of what i've created and still wanna be able to look back on it all.)

I got super attached to leshy while playing cult of the lamb and because there's hardly any leshy-centric fics i've fallen down something of a rabbit-hole of planning my own story.

And, well, I've finally collected all the lore in the game (didn't want to spoil the lore for myself... did that with way too many games already) and like, wow, ok, lol, the 5 bishops are significantly more morally fucked up than how they are generally portrayed in fanon. Emphasis on all 5 of them. That'll definitely present an interesting challenge given the plot i've already somewhat mapped out. Very interesting to work with a cast of characters where everyone is morally corrupt to varying degrees but honestly i have no idea if i'll even be able to tactfully pull it off

#at the very least this still generally fits the themes/arcs of the plot i planned out #we already know about the lamb slaughter issue which is already really bad in itself #but the ancient tablets very. and i mean VERY strongly imply that the 5 bishops killed all of the other crown bearers as well #this would be less of a problem if i didn't want to put leshycat in the fic #anyways #literally just me rambling #honestly shocking i haven't really posted much about cotl on this blog yet #brainrot on par with when I got into hollow knight and rain world #cult of the lamb #text

I've been lowkey stalking your page but it's for good reason. I wanna read ACOTAR but I genuinely don't think I'll be able to handle it.

honestly understandable a lot of acotar content you see is based on headcanons, the actual canon story is so shitty its similar to The Cruel Prince in a way where it got so much hype from tiktok that it ended up not being how you'd expect it to be

this isn't to say that it's the worse piece of literature out there it's just not what you'd expect it to be, especially if you went into it because of f/eysand. shock of my life tbh.

i dont want to stop you further from reading it if ever you want to, because somehow despite how much i wanna burn this book i still enjoy it but you have to keep in mind how it's so problematic and how every single character here is morally grey except for Lucien Vanserra who can do no wrong (im half joking)

it's just, something, and it doesn't help that most of the fandom refuses to acknowledge how bad it is. so if ever you feel like you can read it, maybe try your best to ignore any reviews given to this series because usually they're overexagerrated and not really helpful.

The more I learn about judaism the more I wonder where tf christianity got all its bad shit. Why is divorce a sin in christianity when judaism has recognized the right to divorce for nearly a millennia and has codified religious laws for it. Why does christianity consider sex to be dirty (to the point where puritans considered it a sin to enjoy having sex with your own spouse) when in judaism it's considered holy and it's a literal mitzvah to have sex with your spouse on the sabbath. Why does christianity consider it a sign that you're faithless if you question your religion when in judaism that's considered an essential part to developing your faith. I'm probably stating the obvious here but I still can't get over the fact that there's no historical basis to any of this shit before christianity started, it's like christians just said "hey guys what if we took the torah and built a new religion around it but this time it was actively hostile to human life"

#rambling #disclaimer this isnt about individual christians im speaking about the religious trauma i experienced in my own life etc etc #these are just a few examples that I've noticed but they're definitely something #the part about sex in particular shocked me bc sex is pretty much viewed as actively evil in a lot of christian denominations #like you should only do it to create children and if you take pleasure in it (even if its with your own spouse) youre a dirty sinner #there arent as many examples like this nowadays but if you read puritan laws about sex it's like #you're allowed to have sex with your wife basically 10 times a year but you have to be fully clothed with the lights off #and you cant have sex on a holiday or a sunday and you cant touch each other and you have to try as hard as possible to hate it #literally WHERE did that mindset come from?? like for real #in judaism having sex with your spouse is basically considered a celebration of everything holy #and if you have sex on the sabbath (the holiest day in the jewish calendar—above every holiday) #its considered TWICE as holy #make it make sense #this is one of the things people mean when they say that lumping judaism in with christianity as 'abrahamic' religions is meaningless #theyre literally nothing alike #the only similarity is the torah but thats only half of the christian bible and one third of the jewish one #AND christianity interprets most of it completely differently from how judaism does #im tired #greatest hits #hall of fame

"what advice do you have for new writers?" well i could say the typical (but important!) "practice" "read books" but my PERSONAL advice as someone who's been writing since he was a toddler is as follows: feel every emotion u can & touch every texture u can & search for obscure facts or antiquated words or animal behavior or something you wouldn't normally think about. the most arbitrary things can bring inspiration. branch out! leave your comfort zone and seek things that are new & unknown to you. learn to find wonder and beauty in some aspect of the world, but hopefully many aspects. learn how to be patient tbh. fall in any kind of love with anything. most importantly treat yourself with kindness and care and forgiveness - i get wanting to write about pain, trust me, but also trust me, your writing will evolve as your perception of yourself softens. oh yeah and always have a pen on you
