I'm sorry but I'm about to treat your ask box like a confessional.

You kind of deserve it, though, because due to your Sherlock rewatch posts I've been forced to remember that 1. Sherlock is a show that exists and 2. that I wrote Sherlock fanfic when I was 13... about SHERLOCK and MOLLY.

In my defence, I was a deeply deeply deeply repressed bisexual who hadn't realized it yet - so all of the obvious and insane gay stuff between Sherlock and John just completely sailed over my head. Also propaganda worked really well on me as a child - so basically I was the ideal viewer for Moftiss lol. There'd be scenes where people mistook Sherlock and John for a couple and I'd go 'huh that's kind of strange that keeps happening' but then it would be played off as a joke and I'd go 'oh yes of course, silly me! Gay people only exist as the punchline! Sherlock and John would NEVER be interested in each other that way. I can't believe anyone would ever think that haha.'

Flash forward to 2017. I'm 17 years old. I've kissed other women by now and have had my brain chemistry rewritten by copious amounts of slash fanfiction. Still young, but wiser to the ways of the world than I once was. The last time I watched Sherlock, I had been 14 years old. Sherlock season 4 airs. I watch it with my mom. It's so bad my brain immediately initiates a trauma response and wipes all memory of Sherlock away. This continues for years. The only times I remember Sherlock exists is whenever I joyfully watch hbomerguy's Sherlock Is Garbage video while I'm knitting or painting or something. Also whenever I have to type in a password for an account I made when I was 13 - because my go-to password was 'SHERLOCKED' back then, unfortunately.

Flash forward to now. I'm 24 years old. And I start seeing your posts about Sherlock. Like a sleeper agent, it awakens something in me. Yesterday, I spent a perfectly good Saturday - one I could have spent doing literally anything else - reading Johnlock fanfiction. I am suddenly re experiencing the show through new eyes, seeing all the queerbait I never did before. Getting hate-crimed on the daily. I'm thinking about Sherlock at work, at my adult fucking job. I'm watching scenes from the show on youtube in my office, quickly and guiltily clicking away whenever a coworker comes to chat. I am considering doing my own rewatch. I am realizing for the first time that John and Sherlock were literally in love. It's the only lens through which you can view the show and still have it be somewhat enjoyable. They literally put Mary in a wedding dress shooting Sherlock in his mind palace on TV. I feel like I'm having a religious experience, I feel like I'm insane, I feel like I'm 13 again. This is all vaguely November 5th-ish for me lol.

Anyway. I just thought you should know the impact your rewatch is having on the population. Sorry for the novel in your inbox. I've been desperately trying to find my old Sherlock x Molly fanfic to read for the lols but I think I deleted it off ffnet. I am both having the time of my life while also desperately hoping I forget Sherlock ever existed again soon. So, basically - thank you/curse you for this.

This is perhaps the best ask I’ve ever received?? I converted a sherlolly shipper in the year 2023? Listen I’d never wish a season 4 rewatch on anyone but I would highly recommend watching s1-2 and the wedding episode for a truly out of body experience. I felt more strongly about this show/ship than any other in my life and it was STILL worse than I remembered

The most interesting recurring themes this year were sleepy Mackie, Gavin being obsessed with Jaybone, Frankie having a crush on Brendan, and everyone agreeing that Seamus is a total weirdo. Instead of a full ranking this year, I've sorted them into tiers. Bonus links to non-Monday question but still gold star content appear at the end.

Tier I: Every single second an absolute delight

December 7, 2022 If you could make it rain anything, what would it be? This contains the single flirtiest interaction I have ever seen in a Monday question video, and I say this as a survivor of the Thomas Bordeleau era. It’s a crime against humanity that the video cuts just as Rutger starts to loom over Gavin after drawling suggestively about how he has a sweet tooth. Also features Luca sweetly encouraging Truss.

November 15, 2022 Who has the best bromance on the team? BEST QUESTION and Jaybone kicks it off right: “Gotta be the Fantilli brothers for sure.” Other highlights include Luke insisting that he and Duker have the best bromance despite great skepticism from his teammates (Luca: “I mean you got in a fight today.” Luke: “Ya, out of love.”) and Johnny and Luca’s joint announcement of their  engagement bromance, immediately endorsed by everyone else on the team.

November 22, 2022 If you had to describe yourself or a teammate using just Thanksgiving foods, what would you say? This is an all-timer. It starts with a series of teammates describing Moyle as the thickest Thanksgiving dishes possible, and then it builds to Johnny describing Seamus as pudding (presumably because he’s soft and sweet) and then looking longingly at Luca while telling him he’s the main dish. Also an unknown staffer chips in with a very important Seamus characterization: “Seamus Casey is green bean casserole. It’s a little different, it’s okay. But you only want it once a year.”

November 2, 2022 If you were sailing around the world, what would you name your boat? Hello, 911? I’m calling to report a murder. It was Jacob Truscott in the locker room with the “I would do Granger. Because I miss my roommates Thomas and Matty so it would remind me of them.” This one also features Adam’s dumb face goggling at Rutger’s incredibly dumb answer. And we also learned that Jaybone calls Gavin “Scooter.” 

April 4, 2023 Who’s the best teammate to room with on the road? They ended the season on a high note by revealing everybody's road roommates, with a heavy dose of characterization. Luke praising Truss, and then Truss getting snarky as soon as Luke turns his back. Last year’s Brendan/Dylan and Matty/Mackie roommate combos, a parent trap if ever I heard of one. Jaybone feeding Seamus chicken and rice and putting him to bed on time. Nolan and Gavin ordering Chik-Fil-A and clearly getting up to no good.

Tier II -- Screaming out loud

February 14, 2023 Who makes the best wingman? RICH with characterization. Self-deprecating Seamus vs. self-confident Gavin! (Particularly when contrasted with multiple teammates identifying Seamus as the best wingman and Adam emphatically declaring that Gavin’s the worst wingman even though literally nobody asked.) Luca and Johnny being absolutely besotted with each other, and Rutger manhandling them.

January 17, 2023 Who on the team takes the longest to get ready? Rutger trying to Facetime the Fantillis while they’re taking forever to do their hair is PURE GOLD. Also an early reference to Gavin getting the dance moves going.

March 8, 2023 What’s your favorite memory from the season, so far? Adam’s favorite memory was watching Luca score his first goal.

October 11, 2022 If you could have any zoo animal as a pet, what would it be? Wherein we learned that Phil and Keato adopted ducks last spring. “Shoutout to Moose, Chip, Waddle, Bandit, we miss you.” (Connor Earegood, you still owe us the details. We will not forget.)

October 19, 2022 If you could swap lives with a teammate for a day, who would it be and why? The origin of so many recurring motifs! Seamus being perpetually lost, Mackie lying around in bed all day, smarty Holtzy, and everybody wants to know what’s going in Mark Estapa’s head. Seamus: “I’d probably be Luca. He has a really safe moped. It’s really nice. I’d like to drive around on it.”

February 7, 2023 What is your favorite and most often used emoji? A sleeper hit, primarily due to Holtzy and Adam’s recreations of the facepalm emoji and the silly face emoji, respectively. And Eric’s dig about how Mackie would be the sleepy emoji. Gavin picking the upside down smiley face feels right, too.

March 18, 2023 If you could fill the B1G Cup with anything, what would it be? Jacob Truscott’s finest Monday question appearance: Frenchifying Philippe LaPointe’s name and hassling Luca about ice cream flavors!

November 30, 2022 Who on the team would you NOT let tape your stick? A very important entry in Disaster Seamus canon. Doesn’t ever tape his stick. Doesn’t know how.

January 3, 2023 What’s on your 2023 bucket list? Yet another reference to Seamus being a liability on a moped. Luca wants to take a trip with the boys after the season. Steve wants to go back to back B1G champions (CHECK!) It’s a light week because the squad is off at WJC, so “Mine’s to give Dylan Duke a big ol’ hug when he gets back,” says Mackie. 

September 20, 2022 If you were a cartoon character, who would you be? Great answers top to bottom, but Adam going with Mike Wazowski because “I think he has a good heart” is the most intriguing. Gavin and Luca hugging it out is also important.

September 22, 2022 What would your walk-up song be? Gavin and Luca dancing away together is the highlight of this one. The mysterious Phil/Mark/Seamus pick of Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride also intrigues.

January 12, 2023 Who would be your dream linemate? Features Luca uttering the supremely horny sentence: “My favorite D in the league right now is Quinn Hughes.” Also Moyle picking Blanks.

October 4, 2022 Who on the team would most likely survive a zombie apocalypse? Best line is from Luca: “Jacob Truscott, because he’s so cute the zombies would just want to hug him.” Seamus also points out that Mackie would survive because he’d sleep through it.

November 8, 2022 Which of your teammates would you want to narrate your life? Nolan Moyle “has a lot of stories about me,” hints Truss, darkly. TELL US MORE. Also Seamus carries two smoothies through the background. Who else did you get a smoothie for, Seamus?

March 15, 2023 Who on the team motivates you the most? Nothing too interesting except Frankie’s giant crush on Brendan Miles. Also a sweetheart answer by Luca about Adam, but that’s standard.

February 21, 2023 Give a compliment to a senior Adam with this bizarre story: “Keaton Pehrson brightens my morning every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He comes in and he explains to us the dreams that he had that night.” And Seamus brought jokes! “Moyle keeps his house really clean.” (And adds, “You have issues @nolanmoyle” in comments, no less.)

March 30, 2023 Who on the team would build the best sandcastle? Unexceptional except for Seamus’s heart eyes about Gavin

October 26, 2022 What was your worst Halloween costume? Nothing of note except Truss citing last year’s sophomore group costume as his worst.

December 14, 2022 If you could live in any holiday movie, what would it be? Luca: “The Grinch. Whoville looks like a sick time. Whoville looks like it’d be buzzing.”

The type of guy to steal a street sign, just someone who hardly takes anything seriously and is just goofy the whole time.

But when the whole Vecna thing happens people start to see that the whole "I'm dumb, let's do something fun" front is just a facade and he's actually this insecure boy, with a fucked up family, that just tries to keep the others happy.

And like him kinda sacrificing himself in the Upside down, but he makes it out alive through dumb luck and a few skills he picked up while being a menace to society

Whenever Jason would throw insults are Eddie or call him a freak you would literally threaten him and throw your own insults till Eddie has to make you shut up. Like right now, Jason had decided to pick on Eddie once again for the 3rd time this week.

"Listen here you dirty blond bimbo, my patience with you is quickly becoming limited and I'm ready to just throw you out the goddamn window!" You pointed and shouted at him getting everyone's attention in the cafeteria. "Pssh...as if you could even pick me up L/n. You don't have the guts." Jason laughed making his little gang laugh as well.

"You think I'm playing games now huh?! I'll fuckin soccer kick you in the goddamn balls Carver!" You said and as you were walking towards him Eddie quickly grabbed you and just pulled you away from Jason.

"You're lucky I'm bein held!!" You shouted before Eddie put a hand over your mouth. “Just allow your little freak boyfriend to take you away you fucking menace.” Jason scoffed making your blood boil. Eventually everyone resumed to what they were doing and you just sighed when you calmed down. "Honestly, he's so goddamn annoying. Next time he bothers you Eddie make sure to tell me so I can get a stop sign and whack him in the head like a tennis ball." You said with a grin. Everyone at the table blinked owlishly at what you said.

"You don't...actually mean that, right?" Dustin asked as he nervously laugh. "Maybe I do maybe I don't. It all depends on how I feel." You shrugged as you took a bite of your apple.

"You really are a menace Y/n." Mike said making you laugh. "I've been told that for years Mike! Sometimes it's a compliment and others, like Jason and his little basketball friends, it's an insult. But I'll take what you said as a compliment!" You said and gave Mike a slap on the back making a small 'oof' sound come from him.

Now, when you got involved into the whole Vecna thing your personality did a whole 180. You were scared, worried, hell you didn't even know what other emotions you were experiencing all at once.

"I'm fuckin scared man, why did i even agree to this?!" You shouted over Eddie playing his guitar as you held a a baseball bat with nails close to you along with a shield that had more nails in them. "Don't worry Y/n! You'll be fine!!" Dustin shouted before putting goggles on and saw the bats weren't too far. "Eddie!! We gotta lock down in T-minus thirty seconds!" Dustin shouted at him as one hand showed a 3 and another showed a 0. Eddie nodded his head and began playing faster.

"T-minus twenty!" Dustin once again shouted and Eddie played faster. "T-minus ten!" You were pacing back and forth as you watched the bats get closer and closer making you scared shittless. "Five!" Dustin shouted and held up his hand. "One!" And with that Eddie did one last strum of his guitar before they all started running inside. Everyone was shouting at each other before they finally got inside.

"Dude...most metal ever!" "Oh my... Oh my God." They both hollered and jumped in excitement. You and the other hand was walking back and forth while gripping your hair in a panic state. "It's alright Y/n. Calm down we're all safe." Eddie said, trying his best to calm you down.

"Calm down?! How am I gonna calm down when there fucking man eating bats right outside that can come and get us at any second?!" You shouted at him, your voice cracked while doing so.

"Wow... This is the first time I'm seeing you like this.." Dustin said, his eyes widened in shock. "I'm not who you really think I am. I'm not so upbeat when it comes to things like this... I have family issues and I really just wanna keep you all happy so none of you have to worry so much when you might have your own problems.. I even worry about what you guys think of me so I put up this little facade to make you all like me." You blurted out while sniffling since you were crying from both stress and fear. They both stood there in silence as they allowed the information to sink in.

"You don't gotta put up an act to make us like you Y/n. You can just be you and we'll still like you." Eddie said as he placed a hand on your small and gave it a couple pats. Dustin nodded agreeing before he jumped since the banging outside became louder. All three males stood close to the exit and kept their guard up.

"Hey, dipshits! Give up that easy, huh?!" Dustin shouted as the banging became quiet. "Hush! Is this really necessary?" Eddie hushed Dustin. "They're on the roof." Eddie said and pointed his spear up at the ceiling. "Shit, shit shit," Dustin muttered under his breath as all three of them began to follow where they were heading.

"It's too quiet... Is there any other way to can get inside?" You asked as you looked at a certain hole in the roof before one had put its head inside scaring everyone. Dustin and Eddie both began stabbing at it since they were the ones with a spear while you only had a bat which you were pretty good at handling. Eddie then grabbed a chair and stood on it before placing his 'shield' over the hole.

"Wait... Are there any other vents in here somewhere?" You asked making Eddie's eyes widen. "Oh, shit!" Eddie quickly got off the chair and grabbed his spear before running to where he knows where one of the vents were, Dustin and Y/n followed right behind him.

When they got to his room a bunch of bats came flying out the vent. Eddie had quickly closed the door before they could come out of the room, but as soon as he did that one of them began hitting the door and soon more followed. "Shit!" Dustin shouted as he, you, and Eddie made a run for it to the exit.

"That's not gonna hold!" "Let's go! Let's go!" "Holy mother of mary!" The all shouted as Dustin climbed up the rope and Eddie followed right after him. "C'mon Y/n!! Hurry up!!" Dustin screamed. "That door isn't going to hold forever!!" Eddie shouted. You held onto the rope before a little thought crossed your mind.

You pulled on the rope completely making it fall down and then you moved the mattress out of the way. "Y/n!! What the fuck are you doing?!!" Eddie screamed at you, worry in his eyes. "I'll make sure to come back. If I don't than one of you can take all the shit I own!" You told them with a smile. "Y/n!" Dustin shouted but you were long gone. You pulled an Eddie and ran outside attracting all of them to you.

You stayed a couple feet away from the house and held the bat you hand in your hand ready to swing. So when one came at you, you didn't hesitate to hit it and a couple more followed after and you just went ham on hitting them. "C'mon you fuckers!! Let's play a lil baseball and see how things end!!" You shouted before whacking one off to the side.

Eddie and Dustin had to go quickly because now that max 'died' it caused four large splits into the ground. "What about Y/n?!" Eddie shouted at Dustin as they watched his house get split into slight halves. Dustin couldn't even answer that question because he didn't know if you were actually alive or not.

Dustin looked over at the slightly split house before seeing a hand on the side of the open part of the house. And out came you from around the corner limping, bleeding a bit, and really tired. "Y/n!!" Dustin shouted as he ran over to you. Eddie followed right behind Dustin before they both pulled you away from the large crack. You looked at the two with a smile. "Told ya I was gonna come back." You said with a thumbs up.

"H-...How? I thought you died in there..." Eddie sobbed as he hugged you with a tight ass grip along with Dustin. "Dumb luck I suppose. And my sweet baseball moves!" You laughed before groaning.

"Can we go to the hospital at least? I think I fractured my ribs and pulled a muscle in my leg. After that let's see if we can get Eddie's name cleared from being a murderer." You said. "O-...Oh right the hospital!" Dustin exclaimed as he wrapped one of your arms around his neck to help you walk. Eddie stood there about to say something, but instead he kept quiet.

"You too pretty boy, let's go." You said and motioned him over to you. Eddie let out a breathy chuckle before wrapping your other arm over his shoulder.

1. RWBY

The only reason I use this app is to see content on the two dorks above that I love so much and thank for the several hours of total brainrot. What literally started in like volume 2 as a "I envy my gf having ships in shows we watch and they work out, I need to find a ship to enjoy" to literally wanting to scream for joy when they're in the general vicinity of one another begging for any social interaction.

If that doesn't show well who I am idk what will.

2. RWBY Ice Queendom

....except maybe basically putting RWBY twice. Showcases my obsessive tendencies (I used 2 of 8 spots on a list to talk about White Rose)? Check. Shows my petty side (I loved it mostly for having juicy White Rose content I haven't gotten much of in recent volumes)? Yup. Yeah that works. Don't let me fool you though, I loved the show for the show too. Good plot, loved the animation, all of it fine and dandy. But yeah.... I just needed a WR infusion and this show gave it to me.

3. Succession

(for those of you who have not seen Succession, this is not Succession, this is one of the top GIF results for "business meeting")

Business people doing business things saying business words for an hour every week and yet it still stresses me out in a good way. Cinema.

4. Wizards of Waverly Place

Don't let the fact that I literally fell in love with Selena Gomez because of this show fool you. I loved this show for the show..... as well. Were there shows I watched more? Yeah. Were there shows I liked more? Probably. But this list is about shows that help you learn about me, not my top 8 shows of all time (although this is a weird one to say that on because this in fact would be in my top 8 favorite shows all time probably) and this teaches you the type of thing I was into in my younger years and how I learned about my biggest celebrity crush ever. Plus the transitions are all timers.

5. Once Upon A Time

But that's not why it's here. It's here because it was one of, if not the first, major length show I ever binged with my girlfriend so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Plus everything besides the last season was very VERY good so it started things on a good note and has been good ever since 😁😂

6. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

God I fuckin miss this show. I miss this show so bad. That's what you're learning about me from this, that I miss these two dorky lesbians so fuckin bad. I regret hopping in the bandwagon the second they became canon. I should've latched on for the ride. GOD I miss them so bad. Are they still making a movie? I wish they made funkos but we are definitely past a point of no return there. UGHHHHHH COME BACK.

7. Game of Thrones

Yes yes, I know. I know. Relax. I too think the last season completely ruined the vibes of the whole show and severely reduces interest in potential rewatches if I have nothing else to watch. HOWEVER it makes the learn about me list because this is how I discovered that I love Richard Madden as an actor. I thought it was just that I loved Robb Stark the character, because before this I was never one to be like "oh so and so is my favorite actor I love their work" besides Selena Gomez because I was shameless in my youth and Harrison Ford because I liked Han Solo in my Star Wars days. But no, I watched him for like 4 minutes in 1917 and was like hey I know him, then I saw him in Eternals and he was great in Eternals, and now I'm seeing him in Medici and I like him in that too! I need to see Bodyguard at some point. Everyone says his performance was amazing in that.

8. The Boys

I was never a big comic/superhero guy growing up. I knew about various superheroes, I knew the MCU existed, hell I was Team Iron Man without watching a single MCU movie until 2019 (and I'm still that way). But, I've gotten into it. Up to date on MCU movies, seen most of the MCU shows (haven't seen only one of them yet, but I won't say which so it doesn't start anything because I just haven't felt like starting it yet and that's the only reason), and like I liked it. The Boys (followed soon by Eternals and then Moon Knight) showed me there was ways I could LOVE superhero stuff and now I make it my mission to see Marvel content because I've become interested in it so I guess it's a good thing I started late because I've yet to get burnout but that's only because I've been consuming content for like 4 years while some (if you count the Tobey Spiderman movies as the first mainstream superhero movies although I'm sure theres others that were also mainstream, probably batman but I'm getting into DC soon I swear I just dont know as much yet but I will get into it) have been consuming it for 20+ so I get why people complain about superhero burnout but I haven't reached it yet, and amazing content like The Boys is why.

1. Clarke/Lexa (The 100) - Unfortunately a victim of bury yours gays but first time for me seeing a Sapphic ship and I was like "girls....kissing girls?! Interesting this means nothing to me." (<- liar)

2. Emma/Regina (Once Upon a Time) - Same as before, just one of the earliest f/f ships for me

3. Korra/Asami (TLOK) - Didn't get why this was canon when I first watched it (I had yet to have some Realizations lmao), rewatched it at some point and was like Oh. oooohhhhh

4. Nobara/Maki (JJK) - Nobara is the lesbian of all time omg....the way she talks about Maki and appreciates her SO much. Maki so clearly appreciating her company and her support (but also maybe doesn't even know how much Nobara is so Ready to Fight anyone). They keep getting put on dates in official art....I know what they are....

5. Nami/Vivi (One Piece) - It has been...twenty one years (of irl time) since these two were separated...when they're reunited (which seems like it could hopefully be soon) it's gonna be the biggest Yuri event in the world (to me). LOVE them so much the way they looked out for each other throughout everything and Vivi recognizing Nami's strengths and Nami even though she's scared of fighting getting hurt because she loves Vivi SO much. Girls of all time.

6. Ymir/Historia (AOT) - I've had my issues with AOT so I don't end up talking about it a lot, but this is hands down the best ship. Historia was my fave character and they were IT to each other and the final letter Ymir sends to her is top five most devastating moments in the whole series. Love some tragic lesbians.

7. Hinako/Asashi (Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon) - Read a lot of published yuri at one point and this one was a standout. 8. Rhaenicent (HOTD) - After Game of Thrones bombed so spectacularly at the end I thought I would not like HOTD, but they brought me back on board with the toxic lesbians. Literally inseparable from each other at the start and the one person that they trust, and it just devolves as EVERYONE around them fucks them over in a way where they end up blaming the other and are bitter and hostile about it, but even still after everything you can tell there's some love that never went away truly? Insane.

9. Pharah/Mercy (Overwatch) - ...Exposing myself as an overwatch fan....But these two have some of the gayest voicelines in the entire game (Pharah is my main so I would know lmao. I'm also automatically gay for any Mercy that pocket heals/buffs me ajssllflglh). Fly through the skies together and protect each other...HEAVY flirting while they're at it...Mercy is like the one person to know about Pharah's mommy issues....Yeah I like them lmao.

10. Utena/Anthy (Revolutionary Girl Utena) - Woooaaahhhh who saw this one coming as my fave sapphic ship....everyone? Ok. Anyways ship of all time to me. It's healthy. It's toxic. It's doomed. It's saved. It's canon. I can't even really put into words in one short paragraph why they work so well, but them and their relationship are the heart of RGU. When they get to the point where Utena realizes that what Anthy doesn't need is a prince to save her, rather that Anthy needs her own agency, and Anthy is FINALLY able to leave her abusive situation through that agency, and be able to find and love Utena with full trust. The queer and feminist themes of RGU really just make it unlike any other ship that I've seen.

1. How did you discover your F/O’s content?

I had heard about Charlie's game when it was in early development!! I really wanted to get back into the community because it was one of the most fun fandoms I had been in in the last couple of years, so I got the game! And when I tell you that I fell for him, I mean like falling down five flights of stairs, I fell fast and I fell HARD.

With Simon it's not as interesting, I was in the fandom since the start of the show! When I was almost done rewatching adventure time, Fionna and Cake was announced and it made me even more interested in the series and its lore! He was one of my first controversial crushes because I really liked him as Ice King back in the day, and the "safe" side did what it did best (bullied tf out of me because of it)

I literally watched Hazbin Hotel because of Sir Pentious! I saw some of my mutuals posting about the series and him specifically, I liked his design (especially because I have a soft spot for nagas and lamias) and yeah, it felt like he was specifically crafted for my tastes!

4. Who was your first favorite character when you initially got into your F/O’s source content? Was it your F/O from the very beginning?

Charlie was and still is my favorite character from ADSM! I also like Cameron, but I want to wait and learn more about the other characters before I make a heavier judgement on them!

Also, I completely forget that there are more routes in the game other than Charlie's... I just can't say no to him!!

Simon started off as Ice King and he was one of my favorites, but I really thought I'd be way more interested in Finn or Marceline (they're still F/Os of mine, but not on the same level as Simon), and having my crush on him get so much worse as I learned more about him was genuinely mesmerizing.

I'm glad Fionna & Cake gave me the chance to experience that feeling all over again

Sir Pentious was my favorite character before I even got into the show itself, so I wasn't even surprised when I immediately shoved him into the F/O list once I finished watching it XD

Anything involving Charlie makes me super happy, I lose count of how many times a day I refresh the tags for ADSM to see if there's new content of him, plus I'm always trying to come up with interesting questions about him for the creator's CC!!

For Simon, it's three different episodes!

As Ice King it's Princess Monsters Wife! I've watched it many, many times! Seeing him being so domestic and sweet gives me a clear view of his relationship with Ocean Princess!

As corrupted Simon it's Simon And Marcy, one of my favorite episodes of Adventure Time in general! Watching him slowly lose himself to the crown's magic is genuinely heartbreaking, especially as a disabled neurodiverse person

As Simon himself, it's Simon Petrikov. All episodes of F&C explore different aspects of mental illness and trauma, but having him trying to convince people that he's not what he used to be, how he used to act, while everyone is just upset about him being too much of a downer is excellent writing and it made me re-live many moments through my own healing journey

For Sir Pentious it's definitely Radio Killed The Video Star. Pentious is not a character that's liked by the creator, so moments where he's not in active distress are rare to say the least, but It Starts With Sorry is one of my favorite scenes of his, seeing Charlie being so genuinely kind to him, when she's the third most powerful being in all of hell makes me smile

I finally watched AOT's last episode and frankly, I am not okay, I have been sobbing a river oh my fucking god.

Anyways, it was really good, as expected of MAPPA anyway, I was pretty much crying the whole episode actually.

I have complaints, mostly because of the not included anime, little things like not having the flashbacks of Armin of reading a book in the rain, the squirrels etc. etc. I would have love to see them in the market and the way to the boy who sought freedom, goodbye was not implemented, I WAS WAITING FOR THAT COME ON

The anime only scenes were good too, like Levi giving food to the refugees, falco and gabi, i wish we saw their outfits tho, they slayed with that one.

Now that's out of the way.

It's been a long and fun ride, regardless, the final season has been going for what three years, i've been with this series for three years, it was fun really it was, this series took such a simplistic and cliched approach then twisted into something more complex and truly gutwrenching. 2020 was nothing without AOT, in my opinion, watching AOT broadened my media consumption, yanked me into the anime world and i already have so many fandoms i'm in.

2020 was a hard time too, i couldn't have done it without this bloody series, god, i remember aboarding the train hype, everything was everywhere, fics, art, videos, memes etc. All those I read influenced my writing style, all those theories made me think more critically, those memes and videos of it made me laugh. It's funny how a series like this one comforted me so much.

I remember being so traumatized by the first episode i'm like who the fuck would ever like this series with this much blood and that night i immediately searched for eren fics because i was like who is this boy i like him, i fucking dreamt of the beast titan, all those nights racing with my sister who could finish the series first, i literally woke up at 4 just to watch it before she could.

Fucking terrified which of my favorite characters were going to die next, literally sobbing over armin's death, god and the mindfuck with Marley and Eldians and Subjects of Ymir in the fray oh my god.

Can I just say, I wouldn't be who I was without AOT? Even with my cynical behavior, it's all because of it.

2021 who i never fail to reiterate and think fondly is good because of AOT as well, I figured wow, the final season is coming back, I should rewatch it again and so the hyperfixation began, i was sick too, almost dying too actually, dengue is dangerous and it was just a fond memory because i was watching aot and i acted like i never had watch these scenes in my life and despite feeling like dying i felt okay.

I was so batshit crazy when part 2 came out, that was the one that was actually peak AOT don't lie, I was literally screaming like i was giving birth OVER AN OPENING AND AN ENDING, i'll never forget any of it.

When I cried watching the whole episode, it really just occurred to me that this is really the end for AOT, i was only ever able to go through it because I have the anime and it what really kept the whole fandom alive, the anime's honestly the reason why it had this many fans as you can see.

And again the way it's heartwrenching for it to just be a simple series and then it's full blown war, jean and reiner holding out to each other, remembering how they used to be close and comrades then betrayals and war happened and it's all ruined.

The devastating realization of seeing the last few panels animated, watching the end flash through the screen, realizing there was nothing out of this now, no more next episodes, no more hype, it's gone and it's so devastating because how happy it made you, the way you'll never see these characters again, only in rewatches or art. But it's not the same.

I admit I don't feel as hyperfixated over it now, after getting burnt out of it last year, even good things go badly sadly and i was just here for eren now, but doesn't change the fact this series has nurtured my quarantine, i grew up with this series even if it was only recent, who changed the trajectory of my life and had me find my paths.

I'll never forget these characters who made my life, who brought life to the story, even if they were just moved by the plot now, i'll always have a soft spot for AOT, i will always love it, regardless how much i hate it, there will always be fondness within it.

It's kind of weird, really to see Levi who has done so much to the fandom just by existing and being drawn and animated now cease to exist? I suppose, looking at him feels weird like imagine comparing 2014 levi to 2023 levi now omg, that's where you really begin to realize how much time has passed and how much AOT has evolved AGAIN JKSDHJ

well, i'm still on eren's side, still hate what happened to him but i'll always love him, he is such an important character to me, i don't think i truly ever loved someone like him despite representing the total opposite of me, he just had that charm i suppose, his views are so hauntingly beautiful, idealistic, him representing hope, despite what he did, in the end he did what he could for himself and for his people IN MY HUMBLE ONION

i'm kinda scared what would happen to this fandom now, will it die now? Will it live? I doubt, I haven't even finished my eren fic and lol, either way i hope someone will still enjoy AOT, i hope still there will be new watchers.

This is long but this is just how I really feelt about AOT which I wholeheartedly do love and cherish with all the memories and the pain it gave.

I Went Back Through Winx Season 4 and I have Feelings

Now you may have seen my post about my rewatch of Winx Club Season 3 where I shared a few frames that I liked and I wanted to share. Well now since apparently I'm rewatching the entire show now I went through Season 4 and I kinda wanted to do the same thing. Then that idea kinda mutated due to something I've neglected to mention.

I Fucking LOVE this season. It has problems I'm well aware but still. Believix is my favorite ever transformation, I love the season sound track and it brought so many cool characters into the show that are criminally underused these days. I'll talk about some funny moments, some sad ones, and ones that just make my heart soar with happiness, or ones that make me want more.

(Of course spoilers for season 4 but uh... it's been out for years so I'm not going to tag that)

Here we go, this is long so be warned but so are my feelings. (PS: this get's more intense and deep the further we go so... yeah, and it may become mulitple posts idk)

First up Tecna's face. Why does she look so mad?! Then again she literally threw herself into a vortex and got sucked into Ice Hell and now she has to do basic manual labor, honestly I'd be mad too.

"The Winx are going to beat you to death" saga continues (If I can find something in S5 for this I will howl like a hyena)

Okay tell me if I'm crazy but that girl with the purple curly hair looks like Stormy in disguise? Maybe that oppositus spell had lasting effects on her pchyche and created a second persona, who knows?

Oh and this! This camper van or whatever the specialists get the Winx has antena. Like seriously. I guess it could be to tie into their fairies which have insect wings but it still looks stupid. Also I'd feel like it's cause some issues line of sight wise.

Ogron: Oh you're apporaching me?

Bloom: I can't get kick your ass without getting closer.

This immediately made me think of that and I kind of love that.

Roxy going feral at Gantlos for calling Artu just a dog gives me life, also it's just so fitting for it to give her her fairy form

Oh and she's so pretty! I so wish she got to have more transformations eventually. She was robbed of Butterflix and you cannot convince me otherwise. She literally had butterflies already come on!

Gantlos is just so fucking done with the Winx's nonsense, and i'd say same but he's a fairy hunter so suffer.

Cursed Stella. That's it, good lord Girl what happened to you?

This Roxy outfit deserved so much more. I think it shows up once more and again in season six but still it's SO refresing to see Roxy in something new. Can we just agree Roxy deserved some more outfits later on instead of getting locked in that stupid paw shirt for all eternity. I'm sorry it's not that bad but it's just so old at this point to me good lord. Roxy got fucking robbed of everything.

I'm just going to say it, I love the wizard's outfits honestly. Especially how Duman, Gantlos, and Ogron are all in dresses/skirts and honestly there all a little feminine. What I don't love is that the only feminine men this show has ever had are some of the most sadistic villains as well. Men can be feminine and not be evil for Fucks sake!

And now for the Earth fairies to steal the show for a bit, particulary Morganna cause I completely forgot how much I liked her as a character. I love her design a lot cause she is gorgeous. I love her dress and her hair and even her wings even if there a little basic, her color scheme being green and blue makes sense cause from space... well those are the colors of the earth but before we leave this scene...

Why is everyone so surprised when she invites them to join her court? She hasn't even brought up the vengence so the shock seems strange to me, loving Bloom's face though. On a more somber note...

Right before the door closes you can see Morganna frown, which makes sense cause not only will her vengence force her to fight other fairies but she'll have to fight her daughter as well. Oooh I love details like this cause it shows that her being Roxy's mom wasn't a last minute idea and they thought it through (Well not really but we'll get to that later)

Let's take a small moment to appreciate Flora's cat. I don't know their name but I love them so much. Flower kitty supremacy, you deserved to meet your dumb wolf brother you sweet ball of cuteness

In fact let's appreciate all the fairy pets, and not only them but the fact all the Winx have little carriers for theirs and Bloom has one for both her's and Kiko. Flora making me mad jealous as usual cause I wish I could carry my cat around in a purse. So cute.

Not Roxy lowkey giving Timmy a "Why are you so thirsty?" look. Good lord I did not appreciate her enough when i first watched this.

And Diana is here, we can now bow. I really forgot how much i loved the major fairies cause dang. Her hair, her wings, her powers having the detail of lightning making it look a lot more wild compared to Flora's. Spectacular. I'll get to Aurora and Nebula don't worry.

I don't know if this has happened before but the Winx briefly glowing their respective color after transforming seems new. I don't know correct me if i'm wrong but I honestly really like it.

Musa and Tecna being really extra in the air for no particular reason I just love. I wish we got this more in the newer seasons cause now they just float there soulessly. Let my fairies be flamboyant!

Flora's hair normally

Flora's hair up. No. Fuck no that is not happening. There is no way all that hair can go up in those tiny buns, and that goes for Aisha too. What kind of Tardis scrunchies do they got?

And Once again Tecna's face is just priceless, I don't know what it is but it just makes me laugh

Ah yes, Roxy being told to hang back for... not really a good reason. Yeah she doesn't have Believix but they let her come along to deal with Aurora so what happened there? And you'd think a fairy able to get animals on their side would be fantastic for a mission in a wild rainforest but no. This is the beginning of the end for you Roxy...

Stella being completely calm so close to a wild snake is just... so cool to me. Cause going off the basic fashion girl character you'd think she'd freak out and scream but no. Stella is different, she's rebellious and she loves nature and the world and appreciates it and is nice to it. Stella got so degraded later on but she was so cool at first. I want this Stella back please.

Can I just say that Flora and Diana deserved more one on one stuff, there both fairies connected to nature and we get barely any stuff with just them. I would love a fanfic with these two just bonding- or OR Flora could bring some lynphean plants and show Diana, theres just so much potential and none of it was used. Enngh...

Also Diana is actually really tall, which as a tall girl myself I appreciate. Yes she is wearing heels but everyone does in this show so that point is mute. Love ya girl, sorry you just get ignored for the rest of the season though (Seriously why weren't her and Aurora at Tir Nan Og during the cermony?)

Okay well with Diana's venegence ended now so is this post, cause only thirty images per post so I'll make a sequel for the rest of this eventually.

How did you get into AH? I'm boring and got into AH through Rage Quit, like all of them! My current (kind of) partner had never really heard of AH and I was going back through with him last weekend, which made me remember the first ever AH video I ever watched was The Impossible Game Part Two. Swiss-fucking-cheese-god-damn-it was the phrase that hooked me lol. Went through all the rage quits and then into the minecrafts and then to the GTAs and now here we are.

Who was your favorite when you started? Immediately, Michael and Gavin as I was introduced to AH via Rage Quit and I loved their dynamic, like everyone!

Who’s your favorite now? Favorite is such a tricky word because I love them all for all sorts of different ways. My partner asked me the same question and I didn't really have an answer. Of course still Michael (and Gav, when he's around). I adore Matt. I really love Ky and BK and their interactions. I am obsessed with Dad Michael and Kid Joe dynamic. Last but certainly not least I love the Red Web boyos. I really do think Treh has the softest spot in my heart right now though.

Favorite ship? I am a ride or die OG OT5 girlie (Michael/Jack/Geoff/Gavin/Jeremy) even if it doesn't make sense with the current layout. FAHC isn't AH really, so it doesn't matter lol.

Favorite AU?

I'm still such a slut for the FAHC, honestly. Although the new outlaw AU is super cute. I also have a huge thing for 7 Days, its one of my favorite games, and there's not a lot of 7 Days AU out there so a girlies gotta take what she can get.

Favorite experience meeting any of the crew?

This will be my 5th RTX, but one of the best experiences was meeting Michael after Theater Mode in like 2018. He was obviously stupidly tired and just wanted to go home but he stayed and chatted with everyone who lined up to take pictures with him. Me and my friend were one of the last ones and I was like "we don't have to get a photo, go home" and he was like "nah come here" and it was super sweet.

Also pulling Treh over for a photo and getting to say hi was awesome.

Poor Joe at RTX last year was just still so flabbergasted anyone ever wanted to meet him, he is such a sweet boy.

Has AH ever inspired you?

AH inspired me to make the videos that I had on YouTube and because of them I have like 300 subs. I don't make them anymore but it was a really great time in my life. I haven't updated them though, so proceed with caution.

Any videos, series, podcasts, etc. You’d recommend to new fans?

My partner that I mentioned is just getting into AH so I'm trying my best to compile a good watch list for him. Survive Block Island is incredible. The 7 Days series is top notch. Weird Place. Haunter, if you don't mind a certain someone being in it. Red Web has my heart.

I've been rewatching Naruto. So much Naruto. Way too much Naruto tbh in less than six months I've plowed through the first part and most of shippuden (on episode 367 meow.) Although it helps that I'm skipping episodes that only contain filler content.

Started the new Trigun reboot and I really enjoy the use of CGI in it so far, tbh it's way better than I had anticipated and arguably, I think it looks better than the current Berserk reboot. However the pacing in the new Trigun feels, a little whack at times.

I'm also slowing watching The Untamed, as I can't get enough of Wei Ying and the actor playing him does such a wonderful job (same with Lan Zhan's actor)

Grey's Anatomy (there's a huge gap of time between my obsessions here, as I binged through various genres of shows for a few years before being forced into Greys at 17 - my first ever episode was Song Beneath the Song and then I inhaled all of it in its entirety a couple of times... this was the first show I was involved in the fanfic corner of fandom for and began posting my own work online)

Orphan Black (this is just really, really solid Canadian-made sci-fi, but it ended a few years ago and I still haven't been able to watch the last two episodes which is embarrassing... can't get over that one death)

Gilmore Girls (who doesn't watch this show on loop every once in a while? fell into it in 2017 and found the best companion fanfic ever written that I've never been able to locate again... a truly iconic time in my life)

The Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor/literally anything Mike Flanagan touches (I'm a sucker for good horror, especially if there are queer women involved... I've watched most of Mike Flanagan's work a few times and Bly makes me cry every time)

Covert Affairs (I loved this one when it was on air, but I binged it again at the start of COVID lockdowns and was reminded how comforting I find a spy drama, especially when all the locations they shot at are within driving distance of where I live)

Station 19 (if I hover in that happy space of season 4 Maya x Carina moments, this is the best place to exist... struggling greatly with over-analyzing it because of what I'm studying in school, though, so I'm like a season and a half behind on episodes)

And then, of course, there is a vast collection of shows I enjoyed greatly during the period of my life where I binged everything I possibly could from specific genres to "study the story arcs and writing development". There are too many to name, but if it was on TV before 2010, I've probably seen it.

31. 3 random facts

I have a "rare" disease/condition called Chiari Malformation that basically means part of my cerebellum doesn't fit inside my skull and is instead in my neck. When I was first diagnosed, my doctor pulled Gray's Anatomy off her bookshelf and read the section on CM to me, as she'd never heard of it before.

For much of my childhood, the mere sight of a giraffe would make me cry (out of pure excitement). Everyone took this to mean I needed to be gifted anything and everything giraffe-related for the rest of my life.

I often wake up with songs stuck in my head. Occasionally, they are songs that I haven't heard in my waking-life for several years. I think I must dream about music.

36. 3 dreams you want to fulfill

Oh, man... It feels like there is so much, but most of my genuine wishes are relatively small and simple.

I'd love to see The Script perform in Dublin, Ireland. (There's something about the recordings of their hometown shows that just get me choked up every single time.)

I'd like to climb a mountain at least once in my life. Standing on a peak is incredible and I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to reach one as the result of your own physical determination. (There's a group called 29029 that does an event where you scale a mountain over and over again a certain number of times in 36 hours until you achieve the altitude of Everest and... that. I wanna do that one day.)

I'd like to pack up and separate myself completely from all the familiar securities I've always known, just to see what I'm really capable of. I think it'd be a perfect opportunity to travel and experience the world without the blinders of my life thus far.

I wasn't tagged for this but I saw that @dribs-and-drabbles did it and I wanted too 😅 so here we go

1. If you had to watch one drama forever what would it be?

Semantic Error or Bad Buddy I have rewatched both more than a few times and I'm always as drawn in as I was the first time.

2. If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?

Hmm can I change a whole trope of endings? I really hate when there is some sort of forced drama in the last episode or two and the couple has to seperate for a while and the end of the last episode is like 5 years later or whatever. I think the drama that did this in the most annoying way was lovely writer. I entirely didn't understand why the ending had to be so dramatic. But maybe I just missed something.

3. Name your favorite drama and tell who your favorite character was.

This is hard but probably Bad Buddy and probably Pat? I love Nanon and Pran but I think I appreciate Pat for his straightforwardness. So rare in dramas.

4. Name a drama you dropped within the first few episodes ~ we all have at least one!

Um I feel like this is controversial but Kinnporsche. At episode 4 I was hesitant, episode 5 they got me back but at episode 6 I gave up. Once it finished airing I watched the VegasPete scenes but I really hated Kinn and Porsche by proxy. It did make me realize something about myself though. Which is that I don't think I actually believe in the concept of grey morality.

5. Name a popular drama you’ve never watched and why?

I don't know if its popular but I have no intention of watching Love By Chance. I heard one of the actors got bullied on set a lot and then when I saw a clip from the show it was so cringey, in like a rape-y way, that it confirmed its not a show I ever want to watch.

6. Name a drama you regret watching.

I guess I regret wasting my time with the first few episodes of KinnPorsche? And I dunno if it counts but maybe Kei X Yaku? It was good but I ended up not finishing it because I guess the guys don't actually end up together?

7. Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up liking it?

Deep Blue Kiss? I watched the first couple episodes and was kinda meh but someone encouraged me to finish it and I ended up liking it. It's not the top of my list or anything but it was better than I expected. Part of that might be though because I was writing a poly au in my head of the show as I watched it 😅

8. Name a pairing you want to see?

Look I shipped Wai and Korn way more than I think I was supposed to so I would love to see Drake and Jimmy get a show. It could join Vice Versa and The Eclipse in the Bad Buddy cinematic uninverse. Also though I know this is "bl" asks but can we get literally any gl pairing? I'd actually love to see the girls from Semantic Error have a show. Apparently they became good friends on set.

every year I literally rewatch all my fav shows over again. I fall in love with them again every year, and I've really been looking forward to it this year.

so currently im watching greys anatomy. such a good show, but will literally probably take me like 3 months to finish since im so busy lol.

but once I finish greys again, back on my sex and the city binge. I rewatched it like 3 or 4 times last year, and im doing it again yup. it's just that good, and a show that is sooooo deep in my heart.

1. How long have you been giffing and what got you started?

I've been giffing for roughly about 5 years. I've been running fan accounts on other platforms, giffing seems like a logical next step at that point, like I wanted to try something else. Also I feel you, those sets that I put the least effort into sometimes get the most notes it's kinda annoying. It really depends if you're giffing for a hit fandom at the time or a dead one.

2. What are your favourite shows/ movies you've seen from 2022 and what are your all time favourites?

Wednesday for sure. And with stranger things I finally understand how epic it is. For the longest time I was just watching because everyone else was.

I love gossip girl when I saw it the first time until shit went down (aka the ivy girl for me). I've tried rewatching it multiple times but I always got interrupted by something else. I think deep down I just don't want to rewatch the later seasons.

3. What is your personality/ personality type (enneagram/mbti/ anything you use)? What are your favourite and/or least favourite part(s) of your personality?

I'm type 9 too! A bit unusual for my mbti type. I don't give a shit about what people think as a kid, I don't follow social norms. When my friends pointed out that there're things they do because it's the social norm was when I realized such things exist (I was in middle school - high school). I don't like to do what's expected of me because how I live my life is my business. I think I toned that down a bit once I started working, because I realized how others think of you have a great impact on whether you succeed or not. Your own hard work literally makes such little difference.

My least favourite part is the completely opposite of yours, I talk too little. For the most part, I don't mind it, I love it actually. But when certain times it's necessary I just stood there in silence and I can tell it's really awkward for the other party. And like overall, Idk how to express my feelings and I don't feel comfortable complimenting others irl even though I'm admiring the other person or their work etc. I think it's partly because of my personality and partly because of the culture I grew up in.

4. Favourite subject(s) in school or just favourite activities you like to do in general?

Favourite subject is physics. I like to do/ try all sort of art related stuff. Giffing is a big part of that. I draw when I have time/ inspiration. I don't like to push myself to do it just to get better at it, because at that point it becomes like work instead of fun.

5. What is your dream job/ occupation if you don't have to worry about anything, like paying rent or whether they would hire you or what would your parents/ others think that kind of stuff? 🤣

Being a physicist was my "unrealistic" dream, being a doctor was my "realistic" dream. Jokes on me, I became neither. At this point in life, I just hope I'll get a PhD someday 🤞

1. my favorite christmas movie is unaccompanied minors. i used to fly a lot as a kid and i wanted to do all of that so bad 😂 the movie i always watch are last holiday and this christmas.

2. both! the only traditions my family sticks to is food and gifts. the food changes sometimes. like one year we’ll stick to the basics but the next we’ll do a different type of food. like this year we’re doing traditional but last year we had butter chicken, naan, etc. we always travel but since covid we haven’t gone outside of the states. even this year we didn’t want to go anywhere for real. but we don’t really plan to leave the house like that. we always play games. mainly spades even though that game is more dangerous than uno and monopoly combined.

3. tumblr got me into teen wolf. a mutual got me heavily invested in kastle (daredevil/the punisher) and willabeth (pirates of the caribbean) and now everyone is out to get me with stranger things. i followed someone because of this lady gaga set and now i ship edmancy i think that’s the name by proxy.

4. an adult. i miss certain things about being a kid like no bills but i can literally do whatever i want now. like if i want to go to 6flags then i can do that. if i want to stay up all night watching cartoons and eating ice cream i can do that too. being old doesn’t sound bad tbh. my grandma and aunties go on cruises all the time. they also say and do whatever they want and they’re all in their 60s-80s. they say wild shit all of the time like it’s nothing. like old people do not care. i’m looking forward to that.

5. the same as you did going by your #3 answer. your actual work is only a small factor in the workplace. the connections that you have with people is what gets you farther and while that’s bullshit it’s understandable. no one likes to work with someone that’s closed off and rude no matter how good they are at their job. i just know that it sucks for people that aren’t able to open up right away. like this one co worker of mine didn’t open up until she handed in her two weeks notice. she was so quiet and we all thought she didn’t like us but on her last days she started talking more. someone asked her why she wasn’t always like this and she just goes “yeah i didn’t want to risk saying something and having everyone not like me. you can’t be ugly and have no personality you have to pick a struggle.” like girl 😭😭😭 she comes out with us now too.

now i have to ask if we’re mutuals or if i at the very least follow you already friend cause you have not once asked me what i wanted. so i feel like i’m either constantly in your notifications so as soon as you got me you already knew what to make. OR you came to blog on a day where i was just reblogging one type of media and dubbed me as the horse girl or some shit.

Confession - I binged all the saw movies after you started posting about them last month and I forgot how good they were! I think I'd only seen the first 3 or 4 years ago with an ex but the continuity and the way the story lines across each movie intertwine is SO well done. I have to ask - do you have a favorite trap and/or film?

My mom was the one who let me be exposed to them when I was younger - maybe a little too young to be watching that kind of horror movie - I think I was like 8 when the first one came out? - but like it was the mid 2000s - no one cared about "censoring" kids from shit lmao. Shit, I was watching crime shows, soap operas and so much shit I probably shouldn't have. But now I just kind of rewatching them every year, or at least try to.

I've never had a problem with gore so that's never bothered me; but once you get passed the gore, the STORY and how methodical it is?Holy shit. And how you only slowly get more and more pieces to the puzzle as each movie came out (and you had to wait 7 years to get the full picture - at least with the main first 7 anyway.) To think, the entire franchise started with that one little 4x4 room....

I really love Saw 5. It's that movie that really shows you just have inherently selfish the human race is.

At the beginning of the very first trap, Jigsaw tells them two things: "Five will become one with a common goal of survival." "You lifelong instincts will tell you to do one thing but I implore you to do the opposite."

And then you see these five people just argue and slowly one of them dies as they go through each series of traps he's laid out before them. But then they get to the end with that little chamber that needs 10 pints of blood in order to open the door to 'freedom' - if one person gave up 10 pints of blood, they'd die; but if say five people gave up 1 or 2 pints, they'd be fine.

It's also in that room where the final two that are left FINALLY realize that all five of them could have survived each trap if they had just worked together.And they also realized that Jigsaw literally told them that too.

We all want to think we're not or that we'd help each other other; but when it comes down to it, the majority of us will say fuck everyone else and only worry about our own survival. It says SO MUCH.

And is it cliche if I saw the reverse bear trap is my favorite? If only for the nostalgia? Idk, when I think of SAW, that's just the first trap that I think of and it's just so simple and sometimes simple is just best. If we're talking traps that are kind of more fucked up, the angel trap is one that stuck me with for years after I watched saw 3.
