february updates

OKAY SO UH i was intending to get more content out for feburary but That Didn’t Happen (visually) so instead here’s a compile:

- right now i’m putting all my effort into WRITING and actually finishing the script, hence it’s been quiet over here since i normally share visual stuff as part of updates and there. isn’t much visual stuff to writing

- also considering and making plans to HIRE some people for the project!!! :)

- continued but also its own bullet point: coding isn’t working out for me so i’m just biting the bullet and calculating costs for hiring, BUT it means that things aren’t limited by my experience, so mechanics might get WILDER

- also been busy w college all this time. yknow how it is. i’m also getting a part-time job that might interfere further

- but that means i have more project finances to work with :)

- most importantly: i may put together some sort of demo or proof of concept for folks to play! don’t know when this will be, but this might end up determining the fate of the project- whether or not we push through to the end

that’s all for now... thanks for your patience, everyone who’s still with me all this time later. hopefully more sizeable progress can be made.

On a park bench, Ursula is wiping tears from her eyes as a sympathetic Becka sits next to her, arms around Ursula's shoulders as she leans into her shoulder.

At Eva's table again, a shot shows Grace with Becka and Ursula on either side of her. Becka, whose arm is hooked in Graces, pulls Grace closer so she can lean on her shoulder. Simultaneously, Ursula reaches out for Grace's other hand. Grace lets out a small chuckle of relief at the gestures.

Becka and Bibi are standing in a hospital. Becka holds Bibi's hand which Bibi initially seems surprised by but allows.

After a funeral, Bibi, who is holding hands with Nora, approaches Grace. Bibi wraps an arm around Grace's waist and Grace lays an arm over Bibi's shoulder, both of them side embracing.

Eva, Ursula, Bibi, and Becka are standing in a closet. As Eva and Becka argue in the foreground, Ursula has a hand on Bibi's wrist for comfort as she and Bibi listen.

On the road to the Forty Foot, Eva pulls Ursula into a hug.

A genuinely horrible thought just occurred to me. Would everyone please pray that the court does not order me to put my children in public school so that I can go get 'a real job'?

#So far every time I have asked that my husband be required to pay child support the response has been “Why aren't YOU working” #I am. And also homeschooling my eldest and taking care of my younger two. But it's not good enough. #I am making slightly less than minimum wage so it's not good enough. #(He is perfectly able-bodied and currently unemployed and is contributing precisely nothing to their upkeep.) #...I trust that God would not bring us this far just to abandon us now. But I genuinely do not see how He is going to do this. #From my limited human perspective it is impossible. #I don't know how I'm going to get all the bills paid this month. Or next month. Or the month after. #The roommate did not contribute to rent at all this month. I have rental insurance and rent and the Sam's membership and electricity #(why is the electricity so high. Why. Why why why. I have cut down as much as I possibly can) #and phone and diapers and I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting there always is. #I'm trying so hard not to fret because I know we're not supposed to but I can't quite rid my body of tension and I'm trying not to rail at #my husband because I know I'm not supposed to but #...I'm scared. #I'm honestly not sure if this counts as #Screaming into the void #or #Nattering into the void #Edit: the roommate did help with rent yesterday but the website had not updated to reflect it. I run a modded Minecraft server for my friends & me, & we run the spectacular Cobblemon mod (it's REALLY good, cannot recommend it enough). Not all the 'mons are modeled, though, so we ALSO are running a supplementary Cardboard Cutout Mon, which replaces the default "no model found" substitute doll with a flat sprite.

None of those sprites, however, have shiny forms, so I've been slowly digging through to rectify that :3 + add some additional forms that ain't there. Behold! The only edits I felt were substantial enough to post.

#pokemon #Hisuian Zorua #Hisuian Zoroark #Magearna #Zorua #Zoroark #pixel art #Shiny Edits #pokemon edits #gale chatter #okay you can see that like. if i can salvage a bit of the sprite i will. like magearna is largely unchanged #but for hisuian zoroark that wasn't possible. the design is so different i had to draw at least half that #& you can see that for the 'suians I'm breaking some 'rules' of the sprites (limited color palette) for the gradient effect #but I feel like this is a fair instance of that & am tryna keep it to a minimum #hisuian zoroark & zorua are modern pokemon that don't need to work with limited pixels & palettes & thus are designed accordingly #so in trying to translate them back i COULD self-impose those previous limits on myself but it literally wouldn't change the file size. #see at first i thought these were just like. the little menu sprites in the games. but i pulled a low key toxtricity in bc i couldn't find #& the size & style are not the same which implies that either 1) the modder got those sprites somewhere else or 2) made them all themselves #i cannot stress enough #hundreds. hundreds of sprites. like i cut out redundant sprites bc the mod hasn't been updated but it is taking me TIME to go back & shiny #also hey yeah the mod is for a prev version & the redundancies are giving me a HEADACHE if i ever fix this up maybe I post the mod tbh #see it doesn't sound that bad until u get biblically accurate cutiefly & texture error cacturne on your doorstep

In regards to my nailbed (which is what I know all 800 of my followers are here for 💙) I discover that there is actually a lot more damage than I previously assumed...

That flap of skin hiding what I thought was a small sideways laceration is dying, so I am seeing what is actually a far bigger wound underneath. It's rather formless, like a sore, but I think this is in part due to the maceration...

Now that it is having a chance to heal properly, and with showering washing useless dead cells and matter away (I did not want to disturb the nailbed to do this myself), I am able to see it more clearly... It is still weeping, and to be honest I should change the dressing more regularly due to how much of it there is, but it is only clear exudate and not purulence.
