CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Reuben Jookiba is based on Reuben from Lilo & Stitch. He is a 28 year old alien, sandwich artist, and uses he/them pronouns. He has the power of night vision, bullet proof, fire proof, enhanced sight, enhanced hearing, shock resistance, shifting, super intelligence and super strength. Reuben is portrayed by Joe Keery and he is taken.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

While some of Jumba's experiments were created to cause chaos and destruction, Reuben was create to create... sandwiches, that is. No, seriously. He had a few other jobs as his personal assistant, but Reuben was, above all else, a sandwich maker. An artist, you might say. He didn't really mind going back into his pod or waking up in the wrong hands on the wrong planet; as long as Gantu bought bread and bologna, he would answer whatever questions he had. And he was actually pretty useful! Underneath his crabbiness and humble personality, Reuben was intelligent. He was given all of the same powers as Stitch, he was simply too lazy to put them to use. But that wasn't the only reason he refused to torture his creator when ordered to. He didn't have a violent bone in his body, and Jumba was the sole reason he was even here to know how glorious cheese tasted. That wasn't something he took lightly. Luckily for Reuben he was too useful to be disposable, so he pretty much got his way at all times, even just doing the bare minimum for Gantu and his extremely frustrated boss, Dr. Hämsterviel. And that was just life until it wasn't. When he awoke in a quaint little hostel in the middle of Evermore, he couldn't really piece together how he got there. His first assumption was he'd been shoved back in his pod for pissing off the wrong person, but, like most things, he didn't care enough to dig too deep. After a little nosing around town it seemed like there was no one here to tell him what to do here. Which meant, for the first time in his life, experiment 625 was a free man. And what is the first thing a free man like Reuben did? Got a job at a sub shop.

I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR

❀ Suresh Patel: Suresh was the first person he met upon waking up at Hideaway Hostel in the middle of the night. He didn't seem to have a clue how he'd gotten there either with no record of him checking into the room, but he was a nice enough guy through the whole ordeal. ❀ Victoria Everglot: She's... strange. And that's coming from Reuben! In a good way, though. One day he's sure she'll understand his jokes. Until then, he'll just keep cracking them. ❀ Ronald Stoppable: Reuben and Ron seem to have more similarities than not, despite the whole human vs alien thing. They're constantly seeing each other at their respective jobs, both food lovers working in the industry.

Mertle wasn’t a very nice child. In her defense, she didn’t have an easy childhood. Her parents split up when she was in kindergarten and suddenly, daddy’s little princess didn’t seem to be the center of his world anymore. She lived with her mother, except for the occasional weekends he would pick her up, buying her everything she wanted to make up for his absence in her life. School was a struggle. She wasn’t as smart as a lot of the kids, it took her much longer to learn to read than everyone else, she failed several exams, and she was the only girl in their grade with glasses. Feeling like the worst, she had to make everyone believe she was the best to get by, even if that meant turning them on other helpless students. It wasn’t hard to make friends when she had a big house for sleepovers, a pool in the backyard and anything she asked for at the snap of her fingers. Maybe they weren’t real friends, maybe they didn’t even really like her, but it was easier to fool herself into believing that than facing the truth. Until it got too far out of hand. Prentiss was the last place she wanted to go, but, much to her annoyance, for once her parents agreed on something. Her mother was at her wit’s end. Mertle needed a taste of humbling, and she wasn’t getting it in the town she grew up in. So she was shipped off with a budget for rent and groceries, to figure everything else out if she wanted to keep her car and tuition.

Mertle is: snobby, judgmental, spoiled, bossy, insecure, trendy

Lilo Pelekai: She was a bit too mean to Freaklo growing up, most of it stemming more from her own insecurities than an actual hatred for the girl. Maybe she owes her an apology, but no one should hold their breath. Stitch Pelekai: He’s kind of cute, if you can overlook... oh, you know... literally everything about him.

Dia Gust: Mertle just thinks she’s so cool. She admires her from afar, almost mimicking the other. But she can’t help it, it’s almost second nature at this point. If Dia doesn’t like it than neither does Mertle.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

A name taken in pure irony, Angel -- first known as experiment 624 -- was never meant to be good. From the day she was created, all Angel knew was pure chaos. It wasn't that she was evil, really, but her entire purpose was to convince rehabilitated criminals to toss their newfound morals aside and follow every command to fall from Jumba's mouth. With a sweet face and the voice of a, well... angel... she did her job well. For a brief amount of time, that was. Then experiment 626 was created, chaos broke out, and the next thing she knew she was being 'deactivated' and returned to her pod to be smuggled into Earth. Everything was black for awhile, and when Angel opened her eyes again for the first time in what could have been months or a century, it wasn't her creator staring back at her... but a man named Gantu instead. And he had one goal in mind: find all of Jumba's experiments, and recruit them for the little army he was building. The recently activated experiments were tracked to a little town in Hawaii, but before she could get to work with any of them, they started disappearing at an alarming rate... along with Jumba. It was only a matter of time when she found out where they had all gone, when she woke up there herself. Gantu was nowhere to be found, but she was sure he would arrive eventually, no matter the cause. In the meantime she was on a mission, and her main target was none other than experiment 626 himself. She knew he, as any experiments created after her, would be immune to her siren song, so she'd have to find a way to get closer to him, and work a little harder. What she didn't account for was the slight feeling of guilt that lingered the more she watched him from afar, knowing the goal was breaking what seemed like a happy family apart. It was a good thing Angel liked a challenge.

I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR

❀ Kim Possible: So annoyingly good, if Angel didn't have a strict list to follow she would turn Kim in a heartbeat. But she must stick to the plan, so the young woman is safe... for now. ❀ Pascal Welker: They are kind to her. Kind, warm, and a bit easily frightened. She can't help but want to help them toughen up. Not for Jumba or Gantu or her own sake for once, but for them. ❀ Cruella De Vil: To be evil without being programmed that way? Angel is in awe of the other woman's entire being. She is a force to be reckoned with, she can sense it, and it's both impressive and a little alarming.
