Also ngl, I found June’s super-pissed off face was scarier than his glowing-green-with-rage face. :’D

I’m so conflicted right now. Because on one hand, it would be more in character and make more sense for Saga (my A6 Traveller) to go for knives, because I headcanon that she learned fencing back at the palace (though less for combat purposes and really more show).
But on the other hand, I get a hand kiss from June if I go for guns and that’s Saga’s ultimate weakness.

Man that whole thing with June in Chapter 3 makes his route in the Valentine’s Day DLC really awkward now.

Me: *looking at the available LIs in Andromeda Six* Well appearance wise, I like June and Ayame. I guess I’ll just have to read the VN and decide which one I like based on their personality.
Chapter 2 Be Like:
Me: Oh no..!
Me: Oh no, I’m in love with both of them!!
Me: OH NOOOooo!!! D:
Me: CURSE MY BISEXUAL HEART!!!!

Ayame: ...I was sorta hoping you’d have done something with the room at least. Fifty shades of grey this place is.
Me: *squints* I see what you did there.

Calderon: And you’re becoming a pain in in my ass, so I’m going to ask you one last time. Are you working for Jes Zovack? >:(
Choices: | “Are you always such a dick?” | or | “Who?” |
Me: Now the smart thing to do is just simply say you don’t know, instead of trying to test his patience.
Me: *clenches fist*
Me: But I’m not smart.

On the Right Side
Regulus Black AU
Request: Can you do a small series on where the reader is Evan's sister. She and Regulus were together before she joins the order. After five years, Regulus and Evan join the order too. When Regulus comes to visit Sirius, he finds out that he and the reader had twins? I love the idea of twins from your other story.
Pairings: Regulus Black x Reader
“I can’t believe that we are going to join the same side as these people.”
Evan commented as Regulus reached up to knock on the address that they were given for Sirius and Remus. Regulus lowered his hand with a sigh before turning to face his friend. He made sure that no one on the street was watching them. The less witnesses the better.
“Evan, it's best that we switch sides now. Things are getting bad enough as it is. Do you really want to go to Azkaban when shit hits the fan?”
Evan immediately shook his head.
Regulus turned his attention back to the door.
“Then there is your answer. I thought that you would be excited to see your sister after 6 years.”
Evan didn’t hesitate on that one. Of course, he was excited to see you. He was damn thrilled. After you joined the order, he had to abandon you. That was something that Evan never wanted to do but given the situation, he had no choice.
For Regulus, the thought of seeing you again was bittersweet. It had been six years since the two of you had broken up. Regulus was furious when you told him that you were joining the order and pleaded with him to stop being a death eater. He had never been that angry in his life. You were turning against him and the way you were raised.
She left me and everything that was of value. Our love meant nothing to her.
Regulus shoved the more depressing memories of his past out of his mind. He didn’t want to think about how since the breakup, he had no interest in other women. The less that he had to think about Evan or Walburga calling him “whipped” the better off he was.
He was relieved when Evan finally spoke again.
“I do want to see Y/n. It just feels weird being on this side of the tracks and not the other.”
Regulus finally knocked on the door.
“I know. Maybe it will feel normal soon enough.”
Before Evan could respond, the door opened. Remus Lupin stood on the other side looking as thrilled to see Regulus and Evan as they were to be there. He nodded, looking as if he was trying to be friendly but struggling.
Evan replied, earning an elbow in the side from Regulus.
“Hello, Remus. I imagine that you received the letter from Dumbledore.”
Regulus said, hoping to ease the tension. Less than a month ago the three men had been hurling curses at each other. Now here they stood on the same side.
“We have. Please come in. The dining room is on the left. If you will go in there while I get Sirius.”
Regulus and Evan didn’t comment any further before walking into the empty room as Remus disappeared into the house. Evan sat down at the table and looked around the room. Something about this house was way too cheery for Evan. He needed something “dark and shadowy”.
As his eyes peered around the room, he stopped the moment that he noticed two sets of little grey eyes looking right back at him from the other side of the table. Raising an eyebrow, Evan lightly elbowed Regulus in the ribs.
“We aren’t alone.”
Regulus turned in Evan’s line of sight. A little boy and girl sat peaking at them from the other side of the table. With a frown, Regulus began to question just who these kids were and why did they look like members of his family? Evan was the first to speak.
“Hi there. Who are you two?”
The little girl was the first to stand up as she shoved her long black hair out of her face.
“Who are you?”
The little boy stood up. He tugged at the girl’s arm. He looked a lot more concerned with Regulus and Evan’s presence then the opposite child did.
“Mummy said not to be talking to strangers.”
Evan turned his attention back to Regulus.
“So how did Remus and Sirius have kids? I may not be a genius but I do not think that medical science has gotten that far yet?”
Regulus shook his head. Something was weird about this and he was beginning to feel nervous. Had Sirius had an affair on Remus and knocked some girl up? If that was the case, Walburga was going to flip her lid once Regulus told her about this one. This was going to be the icing on Walburga’s “Sirius is just going to throw his life away” ice cream cake.
Evan speaking pulled Regulus from his thoughts.
“So are you going to tell us who you are?”
The girl gave the boy a devious smile before turning back to Evan.
“I’ll tell you but it will cost you.”
Evan blinked a few times. He was totally caught off guard by the little girl’s cheeky response.
Lovely, this kid is extra
Evan thought before turning back to Regulus.
“She’s extorting me.”
Regulus rolled his eyes.
“What are your terms, rugrat?”
Smiling the child, winked at her obviously twin brother. This was the first time that someone was willing to pay them for information. Whoever this blond guy was, he wasn’t very bright.
“We take cash upfront.”
As Evan started digging in his robe pocket, Sirius entered the room followed by Remus. Both men stopped realizing what was going on. Sirius was the first to speak. As much as he wanted to hug his brother then punch him, he had other responsibilities.
“Adrian, Andi...go play.”
Both children giggled and raced out of the room. Sirius smirked as Evan looked up.
“Charming kids you have there. They are little extortionists.”
Sirius rolled his eyes.
“If you paid them then that was on you.”
Regulus had been silent for the last few moments as he tried to figure out the situation of the children. Finally, the curiosity got the better of him.
“Sirius, how the hell did the two of you have children? Did some poor woman offer to have kids for you?”
Sirius and Remus were dead silent before bursting into laughter.
“Wow, even baboons recognize their own babies.”
Regulus’ little world came to a screeching halt as his world stopped.
He managed to get out. Remus was muttering to Sirius about keeping his big mouth shut. Sirius gave his lover a shrug. Turning back to his brother.
“They’re yours, Regulus. You knocked up Y/n.”
Evan immediately turned to Regulus.
“You knocked up my sister and didn’t tell me?”
“I didn’t know!”
Regulus snapped. He put his head down feeling like the rug had been yanked out from underneath him and he hit a hard concrete floor...right on his head. Turning his attention back to his brother, Regulus tried to think of words to say.
“Y/n never told me that she was pregnant. Why didn’t one of you tell me? Is it that fucking hard to write a letter or knock on a door? I’ve missed...how old are these kids?”
“They will be six soon.”
Sirius added. Regulus rolled his eyes.
“Thanks...back to my point. Why didn’t someone tell me? What about Evan, who has mysteriously lost the ability to speak? He has missed his niece and nephew.”
Remus held up a hand.
“The two of you were death eaters.”
Regulus put a hand over his face. He wanted to cry or throw something.
“It doesn’t matter. Those are my kids...one of which tried to extort Evan. Oh my god, it all makes sense. Evan, you idiot, she acts like you.”
Evan looked beyond offended.
“Well, it isn’t like I have had a chance to say, hey kid stop that.”
Sirius decided it was time to come in before Regulus had a panic attack. His little brother was on the road to one and Sirius really didn’t have the drive to pull him off the edge of that cliff again.
“Look, Reg, you can’t blame Y/n or any of us. It was for Adrian and Andromeda’s safety. If any of your little friends found out about them...Y/n and the twin would be in danger. We didn't know if you would hurt them or not. I mean, you have to understand that. We didn’t do like they did in Star Wars and separate the twins or anything. They have been happy and healthy.”
That did not help Regulus in the slightest. He didn’t remove his face from his hands for a few moments before looking up.
“You just compared my life to Star Wars...lovely. Where is Y/n? I really need to talk to her after I finish with my mental breakdown.”
Remus, meanwhile, was shaking his head. That last thing that he really wanted to do was even have this conversation with Regulus and Evan together. The way that Sirius told him was not nearly as gentle as Remus would have planned. He knew that you planned a more “gentle approach” versus “hey dude, you have kids...your life is like Star Wars.”
“She is out on a job with James and Lily. She will be home soon.”
Remus commented, keeping his voice a little more gentle before sitting down. He took a deep breath before looking across the table at Regulus. He was genuinely devastated and Remus could see it.
“They are smart kids. Andi is a bit extra at points. Adrian is most definitely your son. Y/n wanted to tell you but Dumbledore suggested not to...until things changed. She didn’t like the idea but given what you were up to it was the smartest option.”
“Yeah, it's smart alright. I have missed 5 years of my children’s lives. They don’t know who I am. Let me guess, they call Sirius dad.”
Sirius shook his head. He decided to hush and let Remus do a bit of talking. It appeared that he was getting nowhere.
“No, I am the fun uncle. We have good times.”
Regulus rolled his eyes for the millionth time.
“Is Y/n with someone else?”
Both Sirius and Remus laughed at that. That was like asking if you had tried to put out a grease fire out with water. Sirius, after getting himself under control, decided to speak
“Yeah right. Like someone could compare you to in her eyes. Y/n is still in love with your walking disaster of a self. Evan what do you have to say? You have been awfully quiet this whole time?”
Evan finally looked up. He had been staring at the table in front of him. The moment that he found out that he had a niece and nephew that he knew nothing about...he was stunned. Stunned and surprised was the polite way to say shocked to fucking bloody hell.
I was left in the fucking dark.
Evan knew that he was being selfish but he didn’t care. He thought that no matter if the two of you were talking or not, you would have come to him when a positive pregnancy test came about. You were his sister and you would need him.
Evidently, she didn’t.
Evan thought before finally looking up.
“For once, I do not know what to say. I have a niece and nephew that I didn’t know were in existence. I’m also kind of worried about my best friend here. I think he may have a stroke.”
“I’ll be fine, give me five minutes.”
Sirius leaned back in his chair. The amused cocky feeling that he felt was quickly slipping away when he realized how upset Regulus really looked. This had been the first real sight of emotion that Sirius had seen on his little brother’s face in years. The last time that Sirius really saw Regulus display any sense of emotion, it was the night that he ran away. After that Regulus seemed to be like a robot.
“Regulus, it will be okay.”
Regulus shook his head.
“How the hell is this okay? I missed everything! I missed the pregnancy, the birth, and everything up until now. How am I supposed to face Y/n? She will probably throw something at me when she sees me again. I know that I would if I was her.”
Sirius shook his head.
“Y/n has changed a lot over the years. She forgave you a long time ago. You’re on the right side now.”
The sound of a key turning in the doorway broke the tension in the room. Sirius grinned over his shoulder.

Re-Animator & Bride of Re-Animator (Classic Horror Double Feature)
Re-Animator:HERBERT WEST HAS A GOOD HEAD ON HIS SHOULDERS… AND ANOTHER ONE ON HIS DESK. When medical student Dean Cain advertises for a roommate, he soon finds one in the form of Dr. Herbert West. Initially a little eccentric, it some becomes clear that West entertains some seriously outlandish theories specifically, the possibility of re-animating the dead. It's not long before Dean finds himself under West's influence, and embroiled in a serious of ghoulish experiments which threaten to go wildly out of control… Based on H.P. Lovecraft's classic terror tale Herbert West Re-Animator and featuring a standout performance from Jeffrey Combs as the deliciously deranged West, Re-Animator remains the ground-zero of 80s splatter mayhem and one of the genre's finest hours.
Bride of Re-Animator:DATE. MATE. RE-ANIMATE. The success of Stuart Gordon's hit horror-comedy Re-animator meant that a sequel was all but inevitable. The resulting follow-up, Bride of Re-animator - this time helmed by director Brian Yuzna (Society, Return of the Living Dead 3 and Producer of the original Re-animator) - would prove that there was a good deal more life left in the story of Dr. Herbert West and his ghoulish exploits. It is 8 years since the Miskatonic massacre. Unperturbed by the disastrous outcome of his previous meddling with the dead, Dr. West (again played by Jeffrey Combs) continues his research into the phenomenon of re-animation; only this time, he plans to create life - starting with the heart of his young protιgι Dan's dearly deceased, Meg Halsey. Surely nothing could go wrong? With special effects master Screaming Mad George (the man behind the infamous ''shunting'' sequence in Society) on hand to contribute a host of characteristically weird and wonderful creations - including zombified bats and a one-eyed finger spider - Bride of Re-animator is a more than worthy successor to Gordon's original cult classic.

thoughts on book protagonists
here are the things we are considering when it comes to assigning protagonists to books. we want to open up a conversation about any thoughts people have on what should be considered and any responses people want to make to our thoughts. we’ll first go over some language to help you understand what we’re referring to, so you can better understand where our minds are at currently.
each main character will have a seven-book long journey (for this post, we’ll refer to it as their 7J), as well as a main story they’ll get to feature in and tell completely through one book (their 1J). think of it as harry’s 7J being his transformation from innocent first-year to the man who killed voldemort, while one of his 1Js was discovering who wanted to steal the philosopher’s stone (his journey in the first book).
changing POVs from chapter to chapter seems to be the most popular idea at the moment, so while each book will focus on a different character and their 1J (for example, if the fourth book were to focus on James Potter and one main story for him), we’ll still be telling the story from multiple POVs and still have smaller storylines for different characters (for example, how even though harry’s 1J in the half-blood prince was learning about voldemort, ron still had his own storyline with lavender brown).
this is our current list of main protagonists each book could feature:
immediately, you might notice that while we have seven books planned, there are only six protagonists on our current list. that’s one of the problems we’re looking into as we outline how to write each book.
considering how each character’s 7J plays out, we also have a few restrictions on who should be considered for telling each book. these restrictions are both a result of the polls as well as the way we want to tell these stories.
james potter - 1st, 6th, or 7th book.
the 1st book is an open option for james’s 1J mainly because he would be an excellent character to introduce the series with. it would parallel harry’s first year at hogwarts quite well, and it feels like a very natural option for the first book. however, his 7J features the most change and growth from him in his sixth and seventh years at hogwarts. for this reason, we’re mainly considering him as the protagonist for either the sixth or seventh books. current polls indicate a higher level of interest for him as the protagonist for the seventh book, likely because this is the year that he and lily become a couple. however, the largest steps of his transformation are taken during his sixth year, as he’s changed enough by the seventh for lily to want to date him. this makes the sixth year possibly the more interesting time for his 1J to take place.
severus snape - 2nd, 3rd, or 4th book.
one of the best references from the original series we have for what the marauders’ years at hogwarts were like is snape’s flashback in order of the phoenix, when he’s being bullied by james and his friends and subsequently loses his friendship with lily. this takes place at the end of the year, right after the fifth-year students have taken their OWLs (or at least during this time). the fallout of his and lily’s friendship would make for a very depressing end to a book, and there’s really not much to explore even if we were to take this route. snape calling lily a mudblood was the final straw, but the groundwork was already laid. a snape-centered story would likely be better employed in the first few books, but probably not for the very first in the series. the introduction we’re having to the marauders era should come from a marauder, not snape. to fully explore his friendship with lily and the growing influence of the death eaters and their beliefs, our personal favorite for now is the 4th book, as some of the beliefs and mindset that shaped the course of his life will be solidifying around that time, and it would be the most appropriate of these options for discussion of the romantic feelings he was developing for lily. still, we’ll be leaving the 2nd and 3rd options open for his story.
these two are the only characters we’ve started to draw hard restrictions around. for the fifth book, we (and the poll results) are highly favoring sirius black. he leaves his family the summer after his fifth year, and following the traditional harry potter series formula, that event would take place in the sixth book. however, keeping in mind that no hard decisions have been made, we’ll present the argument to be made for sirius taking the fifth year 1J.
anything concerning the black family (besides andromeda and possibly his uncle alphard) will be practically inaccessible to sirius after the fifth book. the best time to explore a story that includes them will be books 1-5. taking into consideration his relationship with remus (as wolfstar will be canon for this series), the fourth year is the time in the original harry potter series that romance and relationships really began to affect the characters and stories. for any 1J looking to focus more on romantic themes, books 4-7 are the most appropriate times. for sirius’s options, that leaves books 4 or 5 to be the best time for a sirius-centered story. the tensions building with his family and their beliefs would be most prevalent in the year right before he breaks away from them. in terms of confidence and identity, fifth-year sirius is also likely to have himself a little more figured out than fourth-year sirius.
these are just some thoughts to keep in mind, however, as a lot of people still want to see younger sirius taking on hogwarts and possibly being a bit more included in the most ancient and noble house of black. any suggestions for peter, remus, and lily’s arcs and stories would be great contributions to the conversation!

Certainty • James Potter
PAIRING: James Potter x Black!Reader
SUMMARY: James likes the idea of certainty, so the universe decides to play a cruel joke on him
WARNINGS: Mild language
There was a lot of things James Potter was certain of in his lifetime. He was certain he had the best parents in the world, who gave him everything he could ever need and want in his life - maybe even more. He was certain he had the best of friends anyone could ever ask for, ones who know him and whom he knows inside and out. And finally, he was certain he was destined to be with a girl names Lily Evans, who had the most gorgeous green eyes he has ever seen, and fiery red hair to match her personality.
He was certain of all his certainties, until their seventh year began and the universe started playing a cruel joke on him.
It started in October, on their first Hogsmeade weekend. James was thrilled as he walked towards the Three Broomsticks, thinking about how lucky he was to finally have Lily agree to go on a date with him after six years of his tireless pursuing. They sat across each other then, smiling awkwardly towards one another as they shared a plate of fish and chips. James thought their silence was because it was their first time to actually be alone, when it dawned upon him that it was actually because they had nothing alike.
They didn’t share any similar interests, they have very different tastes in music so they can’t talk about that either, and James’ last resort - his humor - just flew past her head as she laughed awkwardly. The look on her face just proves she wanted nothing more than to go back to the castle, and it pained James to admit he didn’t enjoy the afternoon as much as he thought.
At least he has all the other things he was certain for left, right? ... right?
They had returned to the Potter household for Christmas that year when the universe played its cruel joke again. It was near midnight as James fumbled with the antennae of his radio, trying to rid the room of the static noise. The station he’d been listening to should be playing The Beatles until midnight, and it had been a jam session for him and Sirius until the rain started pouring outside, fucking up the connection on the radio.
So now, they sit in silence as Sirius opened up a book he had just bought, waiting for James to fix the radio. With a huff of annoyance, the bespectacled boy tossed the contraption onto Sirius’ bed, leaving the comfort of his bed when he heard the doorbell ring. It hit the cover of Sirius’ book, managing to leave a dent on it’s leather cover, to which Sirius voiced out his complaint.
With a laugh, James rushed out the room, shouting an ‘I got it!’ so his parents wouldn’t have to put in an effort of standing from their beds. He bounded down the stairs, humming the melody of the last song he had listened to as he hid his wand behind his back, opening the locks on the door.
He was surprised when he swung it open, seeing a girl with dark, curly hair staring back at him. She was using her wand to cast the umbrella, shielding her from the rain, yet the belongings she had with her was slightly damp. Wasting no time for pleasantries, she spoke, “I need to speak to Sirius”
“I’m sorry?” James hesitated, eyebrows furrowing at the girl in front of him. He recognized her from somewhere, maybe Hogwarts, but he couldn’t match a name for the face. Initially taken aback, he managed to regain his composure, offering her a kind smile - maybe an ex, he thought. “Sirius isn’t here”
“Drop the act, Potter” She snapped impatiently. James noticed her foot tapping as she glared up at him, nostrils flaring in annoyance. She inhaled deeply, closing her eyes to calm herself before speaking again, “Please, may I speak to Sirius?”
James frowned, “Look, I don’t know who you are or what you want from my best friend, but-“
“(Y/n)?” James was cut off by Sirius’ surprised voice. The girl -(y/n)- was quick to dodge James in the entryway, allowing herself in as she ran into Sirius’ arms, burying her face into his chest as he dropped his head onto her shoulder.
They stayed like that for a moment, and James could faintly hear her speak to Sirius in a hushed voice, him replying back ever so often. Clearing his throat, James managed to get their attention, raising his eyebrows in question, “as much as I love to see your small reunion, I’d rather not be left out in the dark here”
“Wait, you don’t know me?” (Y/n) asked in surprise, her grey eyes darting from James towards Sirius, whose fingers played with the hem of his shirt.
“Am I supposed to know you?” Replied James rather harshly as he shut the door behind him, locking it with his wand.
“Prongs,” said Sirius softly, wrapping an arm around the girl who looked up at him before turning to James as well. That’s when James saw it, the striking similarities between the two, how he had not recognized how familiar those grey eyes were was beyond him. “She’s my sister”
“Your sister you never cared to talk to me about?”
“I should go”
“No, stay” James eyes softened at the girl. He may be mad at her brother, but he isn’t that heartless to send her out in the middle of the night. “There’s a guest room upstairs, third door in the left. I just... need to talk to your brother”
“Thank you, James” she muttered with a smile, disappearing up the stairs with her belongings.
When he was sure she was gone, James turned back to Sirius, motioning him into the kitchen as he poured out some bourbon for the two of them, knowing they’re in for a long night. They downed their first round in silence, letting all of it sink in until James decided to break the ice, “I thought you trusted me?”
“I do” Sirius twirled the empty glass in his hand, watching as the bottle of bourbon poured him another round. “She means a lot to me”
“I can sense that” James replied softly. “You know we’d never do anything to hurt her, right?”
“Then why hide her?” James questioned, frowning at Sirius who had gone silent, “are you ashamed of us?”
“No!” Sirius exclaimed, “No, it’s not that it’s just... she’s the only family I actually care for, who care for me in return. I was scared that if I introduced her to you, it’d ruin our friendship”
James was about to ask another question but Sirius beat him to it, “She’s a Slytherin, you see. I know how strongly you feel against them - against my little brother even - so I was scared you’d hate her without even getting to know her. She’s not like them”
“You know I wouldn’t do that”
“She was sorted when we were in our second year, I didn’t know any better then” Sirius sighed, capping the bottle of bourbon, finally having enough in his system. “I respected your opinion too much then. Aside from her, you’re the closest I had to a brother and I can’t bear the thought of losing any of you”
James didn’t know what to say. He felt betrayed by his own best friend, one of the only people he thought he knew fully. But other than that, he understood where Sirius was coming from - he does have the tendency to judge people by their houses, even if they had been nothing but kind to him.
With a sigh, James asked, “What’s she doing here, though? I assume from all the years I hadn’t seen her, she has a good relationship with your family?”
“Not entirely” Sirius wiped a stray tear with the neckline of his shirt, sniffling quietly for a moment before clearing his throat, “She’s... well, she’s mostly tolerated by our parents because she’s the only daughter. More often than not, she used to save my ass from whatever shit I do, mainly because she didn’t receive as much punishment as I would have - maybe just a belt to a wrist or... just a round of the cruciatus curse”
“Well, that’s not that good either”
“Trust me when I say that in our household, you’re lucky if that’s all you get” The older boy chuckled humorlessly. From that, he jumped to the story of how (y/n) ended up in their doorstep. How she was trying to change their younger brother, Regulus’, mind in being a follower of You-Know-Who, only for their mother to encourage it.
How she was trying to convince him to run away with her, only for him to rat her out to their mother, who didn’t take it so kindly. How she escaped to her cousin Andromeda’s for a few days, who convinced her to go to Sirius, to tell him what had happened - and here they were now.
“You have it rough” James commented after Sirius finished. Sirius laughed in response before changing the topic. Soon enough, their conversation lasted til the morning, the light of the sunrise bleeding through the living room curtains while dark bags lined their eyes, yet their hearts became fuller at their stronger friendship.
James let out a loud laugh as he sat in a compartment across (y/n) as they flung Fudge Flies into each other’s mouths. He had grown to like the younger Black after getting to know her, surprised they shared so many similarities despite her being a year younger. Sirius had left them earlier to search for Remus, who had promised to lend him his notes in Potions before the term began.
“No!” (Y/n) laughed heartily as James threw a fly softly, nearly falling off her seat in an attempt to catch it in her mouth. James was quick to steady her just as she slipped off the chair, laughing at her clumsiness as she straightened her robes.
“You need to be careful, love!” He exclaimed, shaking his head as she slapped his arm.
“Of you had thrown it properly, I would’ve caught it!” She defended.
James was about to retort when the compartment door slid open. There, stood Lily Evans brandishing a smile towards James, “Hi, James”
“L-Lily!” Suddenly, James’ attention left (y/n) completely, expression turning completely lovesick as the ginger claimed a seat beside him. He swallowed audibly, turning to (y/n) who was watching him, “can you- can you give us a moment?”
“Oh” (y/n) replied for lack of better word. Her expression morphed into something he doesn’t quite understand, before she reached overhead to grab her bag, storming out the compartment while slamming the door behind her.
James didn’t even think about how utterly humiliated she must be to be sent out the compartment that way, not when Lily sat too close beside him. Sure, he made a point claiming they shared no similarities, and yes that point still stands to this day, but his childhood crush hasn’t really left completely. He had only recognized his mistake when Sirius strode into the compartment expecting to see his sister, only to see James and Lily wrapped in each other’s arms.
Days passed and Sirius wouldn’t even look at James, furious at how he treated his younger sister even after he expressed his fears for her. Now, James understand why he didn’t want her introduced, why he kept her a secret all these years. Because now that he’s facing s decision between his best friend and his sister, he chose her - of course he would.
“Was it worth it?” Remus asked one day while they were in the dormitories. It was Easter break and they opted to stay in the castle, finishing their homework and relishing their last few weeks at Hogwarts.
James looked up from his parchment towards Remus, “what is?”
“Losing your best friend to snog Evans” he replied pointedly, like the question was the most obvious thing in the world, “I mean, he kept you from (y/n) for this exact same reason”
“I’m not quite sure I’m following” James placed his quill on the parchment, giving his full attention to Remus now.
The prefect sighed exasperatedly, running a hand through his mousy hair in frustration, “It’s obvious (y/n) likes you, and by the looks of it, Sirius knows it too”
“Yeah, but they know I like Lily - I’ve always liked her”
“No, you’ve convinced yourself you like her” Remus stressed out, standing to approach James. He sat across the boy, pushing his parchment aside to make his point clearer, “Look, no offense Prongs, but your whole addiction to this... ‘certainty’ thing has made you entirely blind to what is in front of you”
“For the record, it’s not an addiction” James huffed, “and really, Moony, I know you’re trying so hard to make me understand but I’m honestly so lost right now!”
“You’re in denial, okay?” Remus threw his hands up, “Merlin’s beard it’s so hard to get into your thick head! I know you’ve developed a crush on (y/n), I saw the way you looked at her the other day, but you can’t stomach the fact that after finally gaining a date from the girl you’ve pursued for years, you realize she’s not the one for you!”
“That’s not true!”
“Okay, so if I asked you right here, right now, could you tell me with your whole heart and soul that Lily is the person on your mind right now?”
James hesitated, “Yes” -fuck, why did he hesitate?
Remus smirked, his point proven and laid down neatly in front of James, all he had to do was take it.
“(Y/n)!” James shouted as he ran through the halls after the curly-haired girl. It wasn’t her who turned around though, but Sirius, who was walking her to her next class. He gestured for her to go ahead, staying back to grab James by the arm, dragging him into a empty corridor before pinning him against the wall.
“I swear to God, James, talk to my sister one more time and I’ll make sure you’ll regret it” He sneered, grey eyes glaring at him as the tip of his wand prodded James’ cheek, “You can mess around with Lily or any other girl in the castle all you want, but not with my sister”
“Don’t call me that!” Sirius growled, pinning him harder - and James admits seeing this side of Sirius scared him. “You’ve lost your right to call me that”
Their attention both turned towards the Slytherin, who was watching her brother with wide eyes. James saw how Sirius’ expression softened at the sight of her, how his grip faltered completely. Sending a small smile towards James, she approached them, tugging on Sirius’ arm so he’d leave the poor bespectacled boy alone.
Casting one last glare over his shoulder, Sirius left, wrapping an arm around his sister as they disappeared in the crowd of rushing students.
James let out a sigh as he fixed his disheveled robes, running a hand through his hair before joining the flow of people, his mind going a million times a minute.
It was in the Great Hall when he saw her again, wanting to speak to her but deciding against it when he realized she sat in the Slytherin table with her brother Regulus, and surprisingly even Sirius, speaking in hushed voices. The scowl on both Sirius and Regulus’ face proved how the conversation was going, but (y/n) remained calm and collected.
James got a proper chance to look at her this time, not that he didn’t have that chance when she stayed with them briefly last break. She was so worry-free then, considering Sirius had been constantly reminding her that everything will be okay. However, now that the three siblings were properly speaking - by speaking, it means the eldest and the youngest having a rather loud row - the stress over her family was starting to show.
Her eyes exhibited tiredness as it snapped between the two, watching intently as they argued. Her skin had paled significantly as well, from the tiredness and the lack of sleep, add that to her disheveled hair - curls flying everywhere.
But she looks beautiful, she has always looked beautiful.
And suddenly, Lily was out of his mind. The kiss they shared feeling far too long ago.
Suddenly, it was only (y/n), the girl, he realized, that has been taking his breath away. The girl who looks so beautiful now, even with tears glistening her eyes and nose tinting red as she intervened her brothers’ argument, getting her point across.
“You’re staring” A voice cut him out of his daze. He turned to see Remus already sitting beside him, smirking playfully. “I heard Sirius had you against the wall a while ago, scary huh?”
“Never thought I’d see him that mad if I’m quite honest - let alone have him be that mad at me” James admitted, “Although, it’s quite an understandable anger”
“They only have each other, you know” Remus filled in the silence, watching the Black siblings finally calm, “Padfoot and (y/n) are convinced they could change Regulus’ mind - from the looks of it, they’re getting there”
James turned to the three again, seeing Sirius and Regulus share a laugh with one another, looking as if they’re teasing their sister. (Y/n) smiled, despite her brothers, before her eyes caught James’ already staring ones. She nodded at him in greeting, a small gesture that made his heart flutter in his chest, before she returned to their conversation.
“(Y/n)!” He tried once more, jogging towards the Slytherin who was on her way to the library. Now, he was sure Sirius wasn’t around to ruin the conversation he so desperately wants now - actually, come to think of it, they were the only two people in this part of the castle at this hour.
The girl turned, flashing James a smile before stopping in her tracks, “Hi James”
Her expression brought James to trip on a crack on the floor, bringing a laugh out of (y/n)’s lips. “Hush!” He chuckled, nearing her.
His heart beat rapidly against his chest as he stood beside her, feeling the warmth of her body radiating towards him. “Is there anything you wanted to talk about? You know, before Sirius interrupted?”
“Oh,” James’ cheeks heated up, “yeah, about that... I just want to apologize for sending you out the compartment. It was an asshole thing to do, especially to you”
“It’s done now, yeah? I don’t find any reason to stay mad about it until now”
“Apparently Padfoot does”
“He gets overprotective sometimes” She replied calmly, making a move to continue her journey to the library. James followed along, silently wishing she’d say more, and she did, “He knew I fancied you when I came to visit you last break. He was actually rooting for us to get together”
“You fancy me?” James asked, surprised.
“Fancied - there’s a difference”
“Well, for the record, I think I fancy you too”
“you think?!” (Y/n) threw her head back in laughter, “Salazar, you can’t stomach falling in love with a Slytherin, huh?”
“Well- it’s not like that- it’s- more like-“
“I’m just teasing” She laid a hand on his forearm to calm him, smiling when she saw his cheeks turn a slight tinge of pink in embarrassment, “I understand, don’t worry. A lot of Slytherins have given us a bad reputation in our lifetime anyway - but it does help with receiving compliments! Like ‘you’re not as bad as other Slytherins’ or ‘who knew Slytherins could be so smart?’ - it feeds our ego”
“Like it needs anymore feeding” James poked her sides, emitting a giggle from her lips - something James would like to hear over and over again,
“Well, at least it’s not as bad as you arrogant Gryffindors!”
“I beg to differ!” James laughed, mocking offense as he put a hand over his chest where his heart should be.
A few minutes of silence passed through them as they navigated through halls, finally reaching the entrance to the library. (Y/n) was about to bid him farewell, when he stopped her, grabbing her hand in his, “I’d love to take you out to Hogsmeade - to make up for what I did”
“Are you sure you’re not just trying to get a date from me, Potter?”
“And maybe that” James laughed, bringing her knuckled to his lips to plant the softest kiss on it. Once again, his heartbeat quickened as his eyes locked with (y/n)’s, his lips still pressed onto her skin. She was biting her bottom lip as she watched him, cheeks red and breath shaky.
He let go, smiling softly at her as he made a move to leave.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake” He heard her mutter, and before he knew it, her hands grabbed his, pulling him back towards her, her lips finally meeting his.
James could swear fireworks were exploding everywhere around him, as he wrapped an arm around her waist to hold her against him. She felt her smile through the kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck to deepen it, before pulling away, looking as breathless as he was.
At that moment, James knew the sight of her was something he’d like to see daily, grey eyes dilated as she stared up at him, cheeks flushed and lips swollen, glistening from the kiss they just shared.
She smiled a shy smile at him, before she buried her face into his chest giggling, “I guess that’s enough of an answer to your invitation to go to Hogsmeade?”
“More than enough” James breathed out, mind still replaying the way her lips felt against his.
“You’re alright now, then?” (Y/n) asked walking into their dormitory with Remus in tow, watching in amusement as Sirius had James in a headlock, his knuckled prodding the top of James’ head repeatedly.
Sirius smiled at her, letting James go, allowing him to fix his disheveled hair and adjust his glasses, “It’s about time, I guess” Sirius replied, “although it’s rather amusing you had been the one to make the first move kissing him, proves how chicken Prongs is, to be perfectly honest”
“I am not chicken!” James defended, wrapping his arm around (y/n)’s waist as she sat beside him, planting a kiss on her temple, mumbling a “hello, love” for only her to hear.
“I may be okay with your relationship but that doesn’t mean I like seeing you all lovey dovey towards each other”
“As if you and Remus don’t flirt in front of me!” (Y/n) poked her tongue out at him, James letting out a loud laugh as Sirius flushed a dark shade of pink.
James’ heart sped up as (y/n)’s eyes met his, his arms wrapping tighter around her waist as he held her against him. That’s when he knew that this was all he really needed in life, that no matter how hard he tries, there will always be uncertainties, but those uncertainties will always lead him to where he’s supposed to be.
And right now? It’s in the arms of the person he adores the most, with the sound of his best friends bantering in the background. He wouldn’t ask for anything more.

Answering Harry Potter Tag Questions
So my darling @xweofmanyfaces answered this in video form but I don’t do videos because I don’t know how to edit and stuff. Really, all I can do is type and prance so I’m going to type out my answers to these questions. It may be long, I apologise in advance. If there are any other questions you’d like to ask me that I haven’t answered then let me know.
What house are you in?
I am a Gryffindor which surprised me initially but if I think about it makes a lot of sense because I am very loyal to the people I care about and I don’t think I’m brave but I know people who would disagree with me just based on the challenges in my life.
What is your Patronus?
My patronus is a white stallion according to pottermore. I read up on what it meant on the lexicon and it was amazing how similar it was to me.
What is your wand?
My wand, as on pottermore, is Pear wood with phoenix tail feather, 13 and 3 quarter inches, slightly yielding flexibility. According to pottermore, there has never been a recorded instance of a pear wood in possession of a dark witch or wizard.
I liked the Deathly Hallows because it gave us so much and it wasn’t as badly paced as some of the other books were and it moved me emotionally, very much so and it revealed so much of my darling boy.
Least favorite book?
Probably the Chamber of Secrets if I’m honest.
From an aesthetic point of view, the Half Blood Prince. Overall favourite movie in terms of soundtrack is the Deathly Hallows Part 2 but overall, tying everything together would probably have to go to Order of the Phoenix. I live for Imelda Staunton in that movie and ugh, just that bit where Alan manages to inject that much snark and sass and condescension into the one word ‘obviously’.
Least favorite movie?
Goblet of Fire, I think a lot of people might agree with me on that one, it’s not universally that well received.
Is there a movie you preferred over the book?
The Chamber of Secrets movie is better than the book for me. I actually feel very emotional about the ending of that movie probably because of Chris Columbus to be honest and some of the shots are amazing and the music too, John Williams excellent.
I love this so, so fucking much.
“It is good to see that six years of magical education haven’t been wasted on you Potter; ghosts are transparent.”
Severus without a shadow of a doubt. He’s my boy even when he’s being a total jackass and he just brings so much joy to me because he makes me laugh so much.
Least favorite character?
Ron. I hate getting on the ship in that sense but yeah, I don’t like Ron as a character although a lot of that comes from the fact that I just don’t see him ending up with someone like Hermione. This does not mean I don’t want to write with Ron because Molly loves all of her children regardless of their flaws but I don’t personally like him. I like him even less in the movies because they took away some of his kinder, more human moments and he was like 95% jackass.
Minerva is an absolute boss, always, that never changes. She teaches the kids so much and she’s so supportive but at the same time she doesn’t take any shit. I will always have to defer to my home boy though because he’s an amazing teacher even though he is a giant asshole about it. He is multi talented because he can teach more than the one subject and he can teach them well. He fully understands his subjects and he takes them both so seriously, more seriously than his other professors I would say. He doesn’t express it the right way but he cares a lot about the welfare of the students. There’s a reason he loses his shit when Neville fucks up so badly at Potions that Severus is practically apoplectic, because the boy is dangerous and he doesn’t want to be responsible for a death or severe disfigurement.
Bellatrix Lestrange. She’s a great villain in that she is so unstable and you don’t know what she’s going to be doing next really. She is the sort of villain where you are constantly on edge around her and we actually get to see her in action properly and we get a full, real sense of why she’s so terrifying. A lot of that was missing as far as it went for Voldemort because we didn’t get to see much of him or how he earned his reputation.
Molly, she is my girl but she is also super strong, super loving and she has dealt with so much in her life and so deals with it all with barely any complaint. She is so giving to everyone, she takes everyone in and is so welcoming and approachable and it’s not something that she thinks about doing, it’s just natural to her.
Remus because he isn’t a giant douche. Remus is also the one that seems more understandable to me. I think we’ve all been there at one point or another where we have seen an injustice and we have to decide what we are going to about it. He didn’t actually want to kill anyone, he didn’t take a savage delight or really any delight in what was going on and he’s apologetic about it. He doesn’t come up with excuses for his actions or lack of actions, he accepts the responsibility of what he’s done.
Are there any characters you felt differently about in the movies versus the books?
Gilderoy Lockhart and that is just because Kenneth Branagh is just amazing, he is a stunning actor and I admire him greatly as a professional and he made Lockhart far more likeable.I actually enjoyed watching him in the movie whereas I hated reading him in the books.
Which character do you think you’d have the closest relationship with?
Probably Molly if I’m being honest, we are quite similar in some senses. Severus would struggle to tolerate me but I think he still would put up with me.
Which class would be your favorite?
I am a huge history fan so yeah, History of Magic would probably be quite high up on my list. I think I’d like DADA too, combat you know.
What would your boggart be?
My daughter (from my dreams) desperately wanting my attention because she needs me but I’m too out of it to be able to help her, my darling Penny with my health conditions. Oddly specific I know but it is a massive fear.
What position would you play in Quiddich?
Seeker probably, I have good eyesight and good hearing too.
Would you be a pure-blood, half-blood or muggle born?
I would be half blood, just makes sense for me. My mother is Scottish and my father is English so it makes sense that I’d be half and half magically.
What job would you want to have after leaving Hogwarts?
It really depends on what my specialisation would be to be honest. I might teach for a while, I really enjoyed being a tutor (which was my job up until September last year).
Which of the Deathly Hallows would you choose?
The invisibility cloak. I don’t need great power in my life and my loved ones would drive me insane because I would want to see them so often, to touch them and I couldn’t. The invisibility cloak is remarkably useful.
Which spell would be the most useful to learn?
A healing spell of some sort, always useful.
Do you have any unpopular opinions about the series?
MY HOME BOY IS A GOOD MAN! It is not creepy that he was in love with Lily for that whole length of time. Stop having a go at my man, he’s not a creeper.
Either or/if, would you rather:
Wash Snape’s hair, or listen to Lockhart ranting about himself for a day?
Do you even have to ask that question? I would massage that scalp aaaall day.
Duel an elated Bellatrix, or an angry Molly?
Angry Molly would be terrifying but an elated Bellatrix is guaranteed to torture me to the point that I am desperately crying out to die.
Travel to Hogwarts via Hogwarts Express, or a flying car?
Hogwarts Express, you can get up and walk around the train, stretch the legs which is good for me because of my nerve damage and pains in my hips etc.
Kiss Voldemort or give Umbridge a bubble bath?
Kiss Voldemort, I do not want to see Umbridge naked.
Ride a Hippogriff or ride a Firebolt?
Probably the Hippogriff, I think it’d be far more comfortable and I could actually talk to the Hipprogriff and not feel like a lunatic. Who talks to their broomstick eh?
Hallows Or Horcruxes?
The horcruxes are a fascinating and interesting concept especially when you look into the whole process and splitting the soul. Is the soul split every time that you kill?
If you could own one of the three Hallows, which one would it be and why?
Invisibility cloak, this was addressed earlier.
If you could bring one character back to life, who would it be?
This motherfucking question right here. I’ve been thinking about this question for hours, honest to Lords hours. You’d think I would want to bring Severus back to life but there is one person in particular who comes to mind because it’s just so tragic and I would want to change it so badly and that is Tonks. I want Teddy to grow up with his mother and Andromeda to not have to deal with the loss of her daughter as well as her husband.
