Except it later turns out, Akai already knew this perfectly well all along and had known for YEARS, and he could have just freaking told Conan instead of letting him find out through putting Haibara through hours of psychological torture and risking the lives of everyone on the train????

#detective conan #dcmk #seriously guys what the hell??? #part of their PRE-PLANNED PLOT included letting her relapse into full-force suicidal depression for hours #AND knowing in advance that there was a high likelihood that the train would be targeted #and not doing anything to prevent that like... freaking call Megure or someone using Shinichi's voice and getting the train cancelled #if they had the in-advance time to come up with the plan they actually went with (and presumably multiple others because- #this one working was based on several things they couldnt have predicted yet the narrative treats it like they were on top of the situation #then they freaking would've also had the time and resources to arrange for the train to get cancelled #which would have kept all the passengers safe and not been so deliberately cruel towards Haibara. #anyway I'm still bitter about the mystery train. if you have the good guys doing something this horrible #then at least ACKNOWLEDGE it was horrible instead of acting like it was something that made them look cool and competent. #like... this SHOULD have kicked off an arc about Haibara feeling like she's just as controlled and manipulated by these people #as she was back in the Org #and she can't trust them anymore or feel safe or like she has found a place in the world here. #Haibara #Conan #negativity
