“…Excuse me? You don’t know TSL? And you call yourself a human?! Just how clueless ARE you?! How could you not know?! Just the fact that you don’t know TSL alone is proof that you’ve been wasting your life! So, I’m going to do you a favor and teach you about TSL. Make sure you pay attention! The Tale of the Seven Lords, otherwise known as TSL, is a series of fantasy novels written by Christopher Peugeot. It’s a heroic epic spanning 138 volumes, and it’s the most widely-read fantasy series in the world. There are even theatrical versions, an animated series, and feature films, too. And it’s been translated into a total of 182 different languages. The 1990s theatrical version was an utter disaster, owing to the fact that they added several characters that were NOT present in the original manuscript. At the time I was like, “this producer totally needs to crawl into a hole and die!” But then the 2015 version came out, and it was AMAZING! Better than amazing! If you ask me, it showed that needlessly cramming a female lead in there alongside Henry was a bad idea. That’s not what he needs. What he NEEDS is a friend who really understands him, and the 2015 version proved that.
Also, the most vital element of the story is that each of the Seven lords is so unique. They’re all so interesting in their own peculiar way. That’s what makes TSL so great! The lords are all brothers…the oldest is called the Lord of Corruption. He doesn’t come across as being so bad at first, but he’s always plotting and planning in secret. The second oldest is the Lord of Fools, a scumbag who’ll do anything for money. The third oldest is called the Lord of Shadow, a brooding recluse. The fourth oldest is known as the Lord of Masks. He masquerades as a high-status, upstanding member of society, but underneath it all, he’s an inhumane monster. The fifth oldest, the Lord of Lechery, only ever thinks of sex. The sixth oldest is the Lord of Flies, and he only ever thinks of food. The seventh oldest, called the lord of Emptiness. He’s weird…you never know what’s running through his head! It seems most people like the oldest lord, the lord of corruption, the best. Everyone always talks about how great he is. But not me. I like the third Lord way more. Of course, I like Henry too. He’s the protagonist. He’s almost as great as the third lord. The second Lord is total scum, a hopeless degenerate that leads a life of extravagance and indulgence. He’s always causing trouble for the third lord. He’s got these magical pigs that can give birth to solid gold piglets, and he treasures them above all else. So Henry goes and talks to the pigs, and using his wit and powers of persuasion, he convinces them to leave with him. Then, he leads every last one of them away, and presents them to the third lord as a gift! Wow…I mean, they’re SUCH GOOD FRIENDS you can almost feel it! It’s enough to make you cry! Oh, and then there’s that one really awesome moment when the two of them realize they both like and respect each other, and they high-five! I just LOVE that part, you know? I wish I could have a moment like that. …I wish I could be like the third lord. I may be a recluse like him, but we’re totally different, because he’s got an amazing friend like Henry. Check it out. See that goldfish in the fish tank there? He’s actually named Henry. I love TSL so much that I couldn’t help naming him after the main character. But I cant really high-five a goldfish, can I?
The original author of TSL, Christopher Peugeot, he’s actually a human, you know? That’s why I’m so jealous of you guys. Humans are so lucky, you’ve got subscription services that let you watch your favorite anime anytime, you can go to Akihabara whenever you want… Why do only you guys get to experience all the good stuff? I mean, humans’ whole concept of pleasure originally came from us demons, you know? We gave it to you. So, why can’t we have a little bit of it back now, huh? I mean, I want to be able to go to a Japanese maid café, too. I want to hear the maids welcome me as if I’m the master of the house, and have them draw ketchup hearts on my friend ride omelette, to experience the magic of it all. I want to cosplay as Henry, and then go stand in the center of Akihabara, or maybe that one building in Tokyo that’s shaped like upside-down triangles. And once I’m there, I want to perform Henry’s super-powerful signature finishing move for all to see and say the incantation that goes with it. I want to shout it at the top of my lungs!...Actually you know what? I want to BE Henry.”
— Leviathan’s longest TSL rant (Chapter 1-13)

An update on Apples to Ashes
Hi, it's Prima, the creator and sole developer of Apples to Ashes.
Wow, it's been two years since I conceptualized Douglas and the idea for a visual novel. I think about how much has changed for me personally since March 2022, the different things that have happened to and for me. It's hard to sum it all up into a few words, but to put it plainly, there's been a lot of hardships I've encountered in my personal and professional life since starting this journey, along with some blessings that kept me going along the way.
When I first dreamed up this concept, I was experiencing a lot of new things. I was participating in fandoms for other indie "yandere" VNs, I was drawing a shit ton and garnering a following. I was actually becoming the active, well known artist I'd been striving to become since around 2015. I was so inspired and, somehow along the way, I gained the attention and respect from a lot of other creators. It was so insane to think so many talented people cared about what I was making, considered me worth following, etc.
That only grew as time went on, especially when I started the A2A project. From that point, I watched in absolute shock as people engaged with my own ideas, drew my own characters. They were hyped for this visual novel, they wanted to know more. Douglas started to get associated and drawn with other indie VN characters. This feeling of being put beside all these other amazing creators was disorienting to say the least.
Due to a lot of things I've been through, it feels like the magic wore off a bit. A lot of the drive I experienced at the peak of 2022 kind of plateaued, and... lots of things changed for me. I started taking commissions, I started doing more than just art, like getting back into video editing and voice acting. I got hired by a studio, I got a lead role in another visual novel. I told myself that I can do all these things that I want to, despite the additional need to work a regular job, and the fact that ADHD VERY much has hands. Financial hardship and mental illness... double homicide
A lot can change in two years. My inspirations for the setting in A2A came from my experiences with a job I had at the time. Well, needless to say I've had a few jobs since then, and been through a few very... jading experiences. The person I was when I conceptualized Apple to Ashes and the person I am now are two different people. I was very bright-eyed and inspired, especially by my peers. I wanted to attempt to do something I'd dreamed of for a long time: make a visual novel, and it felt possible, tangible.
I've learned a lot since then. There's a lot that goes into making a game, especially considering I'm largely pursuing it alone. Due to that, and the choices I've made, the things I've been through, Apple to Ashes progress has largely been halted. I feel a lot of pressure to make it something satisfying for everyone that's given love to this project. I feel a lot of guilt about the lack of progress, and feel like I'm earning the ire of people who are tired of waiting, or perhaps losing any momentum or interest I had originally garnered.
All that being said, I'm not saying all this to come to the conclusion that this project is canceled. It's not. I want this story to come to fruition. I want to give everyone waiting the experience they deserve. I want to reach the full potential this concept offers. I want to explore the themes I've attached, use the experiences I've had and witnessed. I want to bring light to these issues using this medium.
The TLDR of this is... Apples to Ashes will happen when it happens, but it is going to happen. To those of you who have offered your patience, I really appreciate it more than I can put into words.
Thank you for reading.

Anyways, I wish to ramble about Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and the new trailer because these next 3 months are gonna be excruciating. Here we goooo.
Tumblr media
Okay when I first saw this shot, the first thought crossing my mind was "Wow. Those eyes." These movies will once again have apes with prettier eyes than me, lol. They're blown so wide open here. It's so detailed and I love that the apes' expressions are more human-like. And I wonder why Noa is looking more visibly upset than his friends.
Tumblr media
The way he rubs the little chimp's head is so cute! I love this. Sweet older brother vibes.
Tumblr media
I just know Noa is thinking "this guy's not right in the head." This is the face I make when I want to crawl away from a conversation with someone making me feel really uncomfortable.
Tumblr media
He's shouting "PULL!" here. Later in the trailer we see apes pulling at chains at the same time. Are they trying to build a ship? (Noah's ark, anyone?) Open a bunker door to access tech? What are they doinggggg?
Tumblr media
Took me way too long to realize the mural is depicting an astronaut.
Tumblr media
People are saying this is her Statue of Liberty moment. I personally don't even think she is an astronaut tbh. I notice she is crying while looking through the telescope. I don't think it's because she is learning she is stuck hundreds of years into the future. I think she could be sad about humanity's downfall. Or she just thinks the stars are pretty and is overwhelmed. Or she's got dust in her eye, lol. I think in this scene Noa and Mae will share some fascination with the cosmos or something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This scene is so sweet! He's shyly giving her a blue sweater here. I cannot wait to see their dynamic play out.
Anyways, I'm putting on my tinfoil hat and calling it now, I think there is a SLIM possibility we'll get weird romantic undertones. But like. That's it. I'm not saying anything explicit. But likeeeeeeeee this idea has been toyed with since the 60s in the novel between Ulysse and Zira. I recently read the book and rewatched all 9 movies and I'm surprised at the unusual amount of romance. So there's a precedent. That's all I'm saying. Alrighty carrying on, lol.
Tumblr media
I think the ape elder Noa speaks with (Koro, I think?) dies here while Noa is falling off one of those phone towers his clan lives in. Rip.
Tumblr media
We are FINALLY getting more female apes. Two at the forefront, and I think I see a few in the background. Which was my one nitpick in the Caesar trilogy. I expected the lack of girls in the originals, but in the more modern ones? Cmon.
Now I'm just waiting on a female orangutan and gorilla, please 🙏
Tumblr media
Also, remember the blue sweater he gives Mae? I think I see it on the ground. What happened here? I notice Noa is caught in a net trying to reach his spear. I think Mae fell in the water because of the concept art we've been shown. Can apes swim? I sure hope so.
And there's so much more I wanna talk about, but I'll let my thoughts rest and go to bed. It's getting late.

Hey!! I hope you're having a wonderful day! I just saw that your requests are open and I wanted to request something myself.
How would the ARTW main sorcerers react to summoner being a renowned novel author?
MC is Renowned Novel Author
Character/s: Summoner (MC), Arcturus, Spica, Pollux, Alpheratz, Sirius, Vega
Genre/s: Fluff, Cracks
Warning/s: None
Summary: The Guides discover that Summoner is a famous author back in Mid Eartheim!
Requested by: Anonymous
Note: Hello, anon! Thank you so much for this ask! I sincerely apologize for the long release of this request. The loss of motivation and busy schedules have always been a hassle nowadays! Hopefully this will make it up for the lost time. May you enjoy you read!
Arcturus
Arcky found out when he saw you carrying a typewriter.
He was curious what it was, especially since he is unaware of such an item that belonged in Mid Eartheim.
When you told him about it, he gasps in surprise, eyes sparkling in delight.
He immediately turned into one of your fans, asking questions and getting updates. You were just awesome! The Summoner was a famous author!
If you want, you can let him read your novels. Arcturus' reaction will be overjoyed, honored to be able to read your novels.
This sorcerer will definitely dig down deeper in order to get more information and concepts that were scrapped.
If you like to put plot twists, Arcky would least expect it. You might hear him gasp loudly or see his face change to shock.
If you have a character who is bubbly and a people-pleaser, he will frown in pity and empathy, relating to the character a lot.
If you like tragedy, Arcturus always sobs to it. After reading, he will go through the five stages of grief for the deceased character. You actually broke him with a novel.
But if you write novels with spicy scenes... he cannot handle them very well. Arcturus' face turns red and he cannot bring himself to speak at all.
Overall, he loves you and your novels. He is so lucky to be yours.
"Summoner! I have an idea for your novel! Can I tell you about it?"
Spica
The sorcerer may or may not know what a typewriter is.
Spica deducted that it was used for writing purposes, but he cannot point a finger for what specifically.
So when he discovered you were a novel author, he is both surprised and impressed.
He is a bookworm, himself. He is certain you have done a great job in writing the novels (especially since you're famous back in Mid Eartheim).
Spica is highly honored to be able to read your novels for free! Because, wow. The Summoner is a novelist!
As much as he enjoys the read, there are times where he will suddenly turn into a book critic.
Not that he will insult the book and disgust the characters and writing. Spica will be giving constructive criticism, also giving some tips on how to improve the writing.
Spica will binge read your books if they are an entire series. You cannot stop him.
If you write angst and tragedy, the sorcerer will just silently mourn. He will not cry, he will not scream. He will just be quiet.
If you write spicy scenes, Spica will be a bit flustered. He has read other scenes like this before (ayo?? 🤨📸), so he can handle it. He is one of the professionals he reads smut with a straight face.
And when writer's block attacks you again, Spica will do his best to help you get motivation. But if you need some rest, then he will also help you relax.
"Your writing style is very unique, Summoner. I'll be looking forward for more of your novels,"
Pollux
He found the typewriter. He started to use the typewriter.
Pollux was basically playing around with it, typing on every single letter while making the weirdest sentences ever.
So when you told him that you use to typewriter for work purposes, he got curious. And when you told him that you were a renowned author...
... he immediately stopped.
NO WAY! You use this thing to make books?!
Pollux now treats the typewriter as a sacred item. As if he is going to play around with something to important.
And to avoid breaking it because his bad luck is awful.
Anyway, he will definitely books that has some action and cool fighting scenes. If you do write action novels, this sorcerer is BLESSED.
Being the tsundere he is, Pollux will not admit that he is in love with romance scenes. He says he dislikes romance, and yet he is often found blushing and giggling about it.
If you like to add plot twists in your stories, he will overreact and begin to screech. Then he will rant to you about the entire twist, still in disbelief.
As for the spicy scenes... he fails at keeping calm, always opening and closing the book with a red face. He even almost threw your book at the intense intimacy the characters shared.
"Summoner, summoner! I can't believe you added another plot twist in the part! I need to tell you about it!"
Alpheratz
He was just napping somewhere nearby where you were working. Because of the noise the typewriter creates, his nap was disturbed.
Alpheratz questions you with a grumble why it creates noise, and you tell him that the typewriter is just like that.
And when you finally revealed that you were a well-known author in Mid Eartheim, his eyes shot up and the urge to sleep was gone.
Believe it or not, Alpheratz is actually a bookworm. Not many is aware of this fact, but whenever a book really gets his attention, he will read it.
He likes to ask questions about the book and its concept. Hearing about the unique structure of the novel will get him hyped up to read it more.
Sometimes, he likes to read your novels as bedtime stories. He goes to a certain chapter that is calm like a memory, reads it, and goes to sleep in peace.
If you are letting Spica borrow a certain book and Alpheratz is craving to read it, he will sneak in and snatch the book when Spica is not looking. In the end of the day, Spica will be confused where the novel is while the latter reads it happily.
If you write romance, he would not mind at all. He does not hate romance, though he doesn't really like them either. Alpheratz is neutral with romance.
If you like to write spicy scenes, he is the second sorcerer who can read the novel with a straight face. But when the night arrives... use your imagination~ 😜
The sorcerer enjoys giving ideas like Arcky, though he is calmer. Instead of going to detail, he simply explains the whole picture. He wants you to use his idea to make another novel.
In conclusion, he is in love with your novels. He is blessed by the stars to be able to read your treasures in Mid Eartheim.
"Summoner~... I had a dream in my nap and it was nice. Maybe turn it into a new novel? Don't worry, I won't push.",
Sirius
You already caught his attention not by the typewriter, but by your vocabulary whenever you speak.
Deliberately? Pulchritudinous? Equivocate? Fathom? My, Summoner, those words are very complex.
Sirius somehow knew that you were an author. Maybe because of your use of words? Or perhaps you bring that typewriter everywhere? Could it be that you were a famous novelist in Mid Eartheim? You will never know; it's Sirius, after all.
That does not mean he is not impressed, though. The sorcerer really is surprised! He just does it so casually, you thought he is being nonchalant.
Whenever he reads your book, he gives constructive criticism but... they sound like teasing instead of actual advice.
Sirius is not much of a bookworm. For him, reading is more people who enjoys indoor activities. He does praise your works, though.
But if you write a fantasy novel and it has a map on the page? Oh boy, you might have gotten his interest in that book.
Sirius is neutral in romance. He does not hate it, yet he does not like it either. However, he will dislike it when it includes self-sacrificing because of, well, what happened to Polaris.
And when you write spicy scenes, this man is SHAMELESS!
He will not hesitate to read the book around you, even doing facial expressions and adding sound effects as he reads. As you listen (in embarrassment), Sirius will laugh.
But if you play your cards right when you tease him, you might find yourself seeing Sirius with a flustered expression.
"Summoner, what is this character saying? Their speech to the antagonist is quite bland and monotone, don't you think? Let me show you how it's done,"
Vega
He already knew it was a typewriter when he saw it. However, similar to Spica (if he knows what a typewriter is), Vega cannot point out where it is used for.
Vega is mildly envious at your vocabulary. He speaks very formally, but your way of speaking sounds like you belonged in royalty.
When you finally revealed that you were a famous author back in Mid Eartheim, Vega was so shocked and so proud of you.
It was a vague memory. But in the back of his head, he can remember how you once always dreamed of writing books and let the people read it.
And now that you achieved that dream, Vega is more than happy for more. In fact, he will fully support your career.
The sorcerer always compliments your novels. No matter how old it is, no matter how inexperienced, no matter how bad, he is still proud and impressed in your works. At least you can write something!
If you choose to write a novel about your friendship, Vega will be both happy and uncertain. He is joyous because it is an honor to be written in your novel. But also hesitant, as it brings back bad memories as well.
Either way, Vega is the type of person who will love romance. As a matter of fact, Vega craves romance. The intimacy, the kisses, the beginning of a relationship... it is so beautiful for him, especially if it is with you.
If you enjoy writing angst, Vega actually cries. He tries not to let the tears spill. But when a certain sentence or event happens in the book, he breaks down.
And if you like to write spicy scenes, Vega will use a straight face at first before it eventually turns into a blushing mess. He cannot even look at you in the eyes!
"Why not use these ideas for your new novel, Summoner? Everyone will enjoy it, I am certain. Perhaps I can help?"

Wow, so umm... This looks bad, not only is it inaccurate due to using the wrong ink demon design [unless this is confirmation BATIM Ink Demon has been outright retconned... Which would make me pissed enough to make a new post just about THAT] but from an art standpoint this is just... Confusing and poorly done.
I wouldn't care if this was fanart, of course you should support young, indie artists... But for a Graphic Novel making sure your cover doesn't look like something Butch Hartman shat out in an afternoon is kind of important. Remember they're going to be asking us to give money to them to read this. The artist likely won't see any of that money and neither do the authors most of the time, not to mention this art screams of the artist being underpaid and overworked.
Like they Had to get something on someone's desk and their boss said 'good enough'. A concept Joey Drew Studios is very familiar with considering the allegations of poor working environments that Kindly Beast. Not to mention Mike Mood admitting in a Reddit AMA that they did in fact rush projects like Showdown Bandit. [Which they sold at full price]
Tumblr media
He also says they can in fact say no or yes to designs involving their IP. Either Mike or Meatly had to say yes to this cover, according to his own damn words.
Tumblr media
And do you really think this company in particular would care enough about its fanbase to not sell them garbage? They have done exactly that on several occasions. It's not like they care particularly about art either, considering their previous use of AI Art. There was no apology or even posts addressing it... Instead, they just rushed out an archives update to their game to get people to stop talking about it... Even forgetting an entire character in it. Again
This company is [or at least SHOULD BE] on thin ice when it comes to being suspected of misleading their fans or rushing out crappy products to them.
So with all that context in mind, I'm gonna talk about why this cover sucks ass.
The light sources are all over the place? Why does it look like someone put maces or knight armor on his shoulders but it's just flesh?? It looks both gross and weird [not in a good way either]
To explain more I'm going on a rant below but sadly this seems to have been confirmed to not just be a rough pass but the final cover and man... I am not excited about this graphic novel just at all. This felt like it really drained any possibility of it turning out good for me and I already had expectations low.
Okay first point, the light sources?? And there is no consistency here with the shadows or lighting, it looks like there's a hundred light sources all at once but none of them are even consistent!
Tumblr media
the arrows here represent all the different light sources I can make out and yet the the shadow clearly implies there's only one. I understand wanting to use highlights to give the character a more clear shape but then just give him one or two lights behind him or in front of him? No matter how u follow the light sources, the highlights make no sense and the shadows make even less sense.
Tumblr media
Why are the shoulders like that? Like on the legs it's a little understandable, at least those are clearly very heavily affected by perspective, for me I think they are so exaggerated it makes it look like one of the legs is either huge or one is small but that's maybe subjective.
However, the shoulders are unjustifiable, what happened there, what did they do??
I could pick on so much more honestly, how the color choices of piss yellow with no other colors being used, and the harsh pitch black being used for every part of his body is weird. How it looks straight out of Butch Hartman's recent crappy art. But to put bluntly bad start! Also what the HELL is going on with this background??
Seems once again the Bendy team is fine with sending out stuff thinking it's "Good Enough" for Bendy fans and honestly the people trying to tell me to "Be Grateful" for this are just proving that no matter how many times you betray your audience some of em will defend you!
Which is sad tbh. If anything we should be putting MORE pressure on the Bendy team to do better. Cause we deserve better than this, honestly we do. There are amazing artists in the bendy community who could do so much better for a cover. They've employed their fan artists before... Wouldn't it be great to do that for such a lore important book? The book that gives us the identity of one of the main characters in BATIM? The character you spend the entirety of Chapter 4 fighting to save? Not to mention will give several major characters their human designs?
But I guess this is... Good enough...

☔ for the ask game? (idea you're not sure you'll write, if the emoji doesn't come through)
☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?
I kind of dropped out of the MDZS fandom like a rock after finishing my novel-length longfic, and the fic I most regret leaving unwritten is a bullet-point au in which Jiang Fengmian just cannot find his friends' lost son, he gives up, so Wei Wuxian grows up entirely on the streets, scrounging his way to enough cultivation education to invent demonic cultivation (because that's still the kind of person he is), and JFM assuages his conscience a little by inviting a different random clever basically-an-urchin - Meng Yao - into Jiang Sect.
Highlights include:
Meng Yao: wow the obvious fault lines in this family make everyone so easy to manipulate- wait, am I being offered real affection and trust? That's...fine.
Meng Yao trying desperately to hide his background, but he goes to visit his mother when she's ill. Jiang Cheng follows him, because Meng Yao is his best (only) friend, and Jiang Yanli follows Jiang Cheng to make sure he doesn't get in trouble, and then (JYL steps on JC's foot to stop him from saying the first thing that comes to mind) they both react with compassion and sympathy rather than scorn to Meng Shi and her profession. Meng Yao experiences several more Real Emotions.
Teen rogue cultivator Wei Wuxian just kinda. invites himself. to Lan Summer School, on the strength of Cangse Sanren's name. JFM is delighted when he hears, encourages JC to befriend him (Meng Yao: [jealous cat hisses]) and would have invited him home at the end of the summer...if WWX didn't get himself expelled halfway through for punching Jin Zixuan's smug face.
He also crashes Terrible Wen Summer Camp. Gets stuck in a cave with Lan Wangji, etc.
Wei Wuxian has kinda been a Batman-esque vigilante in Yiling (moody, dramatic, clad in black, fights ghosts and also bad guys). When the Wens move in, he shifts to being a more actively anti-authoritarian Batman-esque vigilante. Wen Qing is annoyed. Wen Ning is enamored.
The Wens attack Lotus Pier, because they were always going to attack Lotus Pier next. Jiang Cheng does get his golden core torn out. Wen Ning rescues him, because Wen Ning is always a hero even if Wei Wuxian isn't immediately present. Meng Yao decides it's time to do what he does best...so he promised Jiang Cheng that he'll be back, then goes to the Nightless City and says, "oh golly gee, I, second disciple of Jiang Sect, am so defeated and humbled by the mighty Wen! Can I please join, oh magnificent masters?"
Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian has rescued Lan Xichen (this is gonna get him so many bonus points with his sexy law-abiding nemesis LWJ) , and then gotten himself thrown into the Burial Mounds for snarking at Wen Chao...which is a lot like throwing Brer Rabbit into the briar patch
Sunshot Campaign! With no golden core, JC can't really rebuild Jiang Sect, but he gets reliable intel from a man on the inside and he humbles himself enough to ask Wei Wuxian for tutelage in talismans, and of course you'd literally need to tie him up to keep him from going out and kicking ass.
Wei Wuxian is peak Yiling Patriarch because it's the right thing to do. (LWJ: Come back to Gusu with me (so I can aggressive cleanse your spirit, then maybe dick you down so hard that neither of us can movie for a week))
AFTER THE WAR: Jin Guangshan dramatically recognizes war hero/Wen Ruohan-slayer Meng Yao as Jin Guangyao, his son and new sect member... and Meng Yao, having grown up with the absolute Ride Or Die nature of Jiang Sect, and with more intimate knowledge (via JYL's engagement and YZY's friendship with Madame Jin) of how much JGS sucks, says, "Thanks but no thanks, I will be staying with my sworn brother and sect leader Jiang Wanyin to rebuild Jiang Sect."
It's just about his ambitions, okay! He'll FUNCTIONALLY be Sect Leader; Jiang Cheng literally doesn't have a golden core! (Though he's still absolutely first-rate in swordwork and his talismans are fucking superb. The thing about Jiang Cheng is that he will rise to the occasion, always.) Also, that 'sworn brother' thing was not agreed upon in advance; Meng Yao totally publicly backed him into that corner - in which he didn't mind being. Jiang Cheng is pretty damn sure he's getting the better of this deal, and he's kinda right.
Between JC's prestigious name and insane levels of personal dedication, MY's people skills and equally insane (but slightly more calculated) levels of personal dedication, and JYL securing a very favorable loan from Madame Jin, they hella get Jiang Sect back on its feet.
Meanwhile, WWX has again refused to go with LWJ to learn "proper" cultivation or anything else...and JGS is seeking power, and abusing Wen prisoners of war...
Wen Qing comes to Lotus Pier, finds Meng Yao, and says, "Please help save my brother. We helped save yours. You owe us this much." Meng Yao, being Meng Yao, thinks, I do rather owe here, but this is politically delicate... Who can I foist this off on whom I don't mind seeing torn apart by every righteous sect... and forwards her to Wei Wuxian.
Who does his righteous Wei Wuxian thing
There's a big dramatic meeting of sect leaders & etc about this, in which JGS beats his war drums, etc. etc. Meng Yao feels slightly bad but not, like, that bad. Wei Wuxian tried to steal his brother when they were teenagers, and again while MY was away during the Sunshot Campaign, so he probably deserves to die.
Afterwards, JYL with her unerring Older Sister senses pulls MY (and JC) aside and hisses, "A-Yao, what did you do?"
Do they end up saving the day? Is Wei Wuxian just destined to doom himself with his particular combination of pride, self-neglect, and blithe refusal to play by everyone else's rules? I never actually decided!

in your opinion, what is their love language :3
See, my first instinct is to go with quality time but that’s because I always go for quality time. To me, quality time is the foundation of love. If you don’t enjoy spending your time in the presence of a person you love, what’s the point? Having fun together and joking around and just being happy because wow! You have managed to find a person who makes your day brighten just because they are them? Loving someone without liking them is something that I loatheeeee (as you already know) so quality time>>>>>
Plus webgott spending time with each other makes me !!!!!!! cuz THEY ARE ATTACHED TO THE HIP OKAY. In my canon, they are off being domestic and after work, you cannot separate the two. Either they’re arguing about something profoundly stupid, fucking, or being soft together like Webster reading aloud his novel while Lieb lays on his chest and makes so much fun of the book. Yes, I did take this concept from @softguarnere’s post because it has wormed into my brain and won’t leave. Even when they’re not talking and they’re doing their own little thing, they still want to be in the other’s presence because why wouldn’t they? To hear the other’s soft breathing and rustling of pages turning, both novels and comic books alike, it is an anchor to this world of peace for them both.
To sum things up: quality time superiority

I know this is pro-ship/all-ship, but what ships do you absolutely adore and which ones do you despise?
I'm asking for science btw :3
Ah - the Ship Question™! Very well; we're happy to give our personal opinions on the ships; we'll rate some of the bigger ones below on a scale of 1 to 10. Please remember these are our own personal opinions! ❤❤❤
Here we go!
Voltron - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
We gave Voltron a 5 out of 10 - one for each lion. It's a novel concept, and it's an iconic design. The blue glows are a nice touch, but overall it's a bit average compared to some other big ships.
Zarkon's Fleet/War Ship - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
We thought this fleet, specifically the command ship, deserved a 8/10. The purple glow is very Galran and the colors coordinate nicely. It remains sleek while still being a large ship.
MFE Fighter - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
We gave the MFE fighter ships a 6 out of 10. It's fine. It's a classic, earth-class fighter ship. ..Nothing wrong with it. It's just. ...Just fine. No wow factor. Nothing against it. Just. Fine.
Altean Castle of Lions - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
The Altean Castleship gets a solid 10/10. It is both a castle, and a ship, and executes both functions on command and with ease, also while being exceptionally old.
Galra Central Command - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
7/10. Galra Central Command is extremely intimidating and large. Due to its nature as the central hub of activity, it's complex in its functionality.
IGF Atlas - Carrier Form 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
IGF Atlas in its standard flight mode, which we've called 'carrier mode' as opposed to its transformed state, is a pretty robust ship, and comes in with a 8/10. It matches with the MFE color scheme and is clearly delineated as a command ship. It also vaguely mirrors the Galra command ship, but is long instead of wide, allowing for use in Earth atmosphere.
Zaiforge Cannon - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
8/10 for the brutal Galran assault weapon - and only 'loosely' categorized as a ship. It is a vessel that goes into space and is piloted, so we decided to include it. Extra points for the cannon part.
IGF Atlas - Gundam Fighter Form 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
Atlas in Fighter Form gets a solid 12/10. It lands the throwback to Voltron's form, but brings some extra... curves to the game.
Sincline - 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
Tumblr media
We didn't even count the cheese. Sincline is ❤/10. It's a very organic ship design, which is unusual compared to others. Its movement is graceful and it is both strong and powerful; often ships tend to excel at either armor or weapons; rarely both.
And that wraps up our shiplist! What are your favorite ships??
(If you ever feel like we're missing or forgetting about a ship - it's not at all intentional; send us a prompt or a request and we'll start adding more for that couple/group!)

art fight???? how???
hey, could you explain a little about the art fight thing? i want to fight people !1!1!
Art Fight is an art gifting and trading game! It's been running in some form or another since (quickly checks about page) 2007 apparently but I've been playing it since 2016.
The way the game/event works is outlined here on the site's About page. Basically you just pick other users and draw free art for them of their characters--art you make for other people is called "attacks", and if you're lucky, they'll get "revenge" by drawing something back for you of one of your own characters, too!
There's a light framework of "teams" and "points" overlaid on top of that "draw art of others' OCs" concept to gamify it and give it a fun aesthetic (with team themes like sun vs moon, vampires vs werewolves, etc), but there are no prizes for the winning team, you can freely draw stuff for people on your own team, you can switch teams at any time, and... honestly most users don't really care about teams or points and are just in it for the OC gift art aspect of it.
I'm a huge fan of it because Art Fight feels like one of the last places on the internet that is by and for artists exclusively. On Art Fight you can openly relish in the fact that you're obsessed with one of your characters, or show off this idea for a cool story and setting you want to turn into a novel someday, or proudly display the fact that you've been worldbuilding in-depth dragon lore for a decade and be totally and completely surrounded on all sides by people who not only get it, but also are all doing the same thing. It's also a great way to give some love and support to beginner artists.
Some tips on how to have a better Art Fight experience:
Don't go in with the expectation that you'll get a ton of art, especially your first year. Your main goal should be to make gifts for other people.
If you are hoping to get "revenges" back, try to "attack" people who are definitely playing this year (as in, have drawn at least one attack this summer) but who aren't already swamped with a ton of attacks to "revenge" already. (Attacking only very popular/professional artists who get more attacks then they could ever possibly keep up with will leave you feel disappointed... that said, it's arguably worth attempting a few, just in case you get lucky, because that's how I got a drawing from Shoomlah, one of my childhood art idols!)
If you have an art blog, promote your Art Fight stuff to your followers there so they know you're playing. Playing with a group of friends is also more fun than playing solo 'cause you can always attack each other if you're not getting many revenges. Leaving nice comments on other people's characters and art can also help make you more visible/leave a good impression if you're brand new to the game.
Points and teams seriously don't matter at all, even a little. I suggest not paying them any attention at all beyond picking the team theme you think is cooler.
It's best to at least skim a character's profile and rules before drawing them. Not only does it help you get a better feel for the character, sometimes people put useful design details there instead of on their refs.
One more thing: Don't take Art Fight too seriously! You and everyone else are here to have fun. Don't get hung up on art "quality"--lots of people (including myself) are only doing headshots or sketches. Don't get upset if someone forgets a detail on your character or doesn't draw them quite "right". Don't get hung up on numbers or "ratios" or feel too stung if someone doesn't comment on or revenge something you draw for them. After all, Art Fight is for all types of artists, including young artists who don't fully understand netiquette rules yet, busy adults with full time jobs, people with disabilities that make it hard for them to communicate or hard for them to type or leave them with limited energy... etc. That doesn't mean they didn't appreciate what you drew for them!
Wow, I wrote too much. I should probably stop typing and go draw something for Art Fight before it gets too late in the evening!
TL;DR: Fun art gifting game. Great to rub elbows with other creatives for a month! Feels like an online convention of sorts! A+! Would recommend.

could you possibly do a fic or blurb or something where the reader isn't super smart and feels like remus deserves someone who is smarter and can keep up with him more? thank you <3
tysm for ur request <3
Remus loves to read to you. You love to listen, but sometimes he reads out a passage of poetry or verse or philosophy that he finds fascinating and you're left staring at him like he's from another planet because you don't really understand what he meant.
You'd never been much for academia, never got the best grades, didn't strive for top marks or to be top of the class. Remus has never, ever given any indication that he cares about this and most of the time you yourself don't care, aren't bothered by your underperforming. You're not book smart and it doesn't matter.
But sometimes. Sometimes, you feel stupid. You feel like an idiot. Remus has just read you a passage from his novel about the concept of an echo, how it comes from two places, the mythological and the physical.
You don't really get it. An echo is an echo.
You smile wide, say, "Oh, wow. Do you agree with that?" And listen to him chatter about how he thinks
it's true and not true, listen as he brings up the entomological definition of an echo, echolocation, bats. It goes over your head swiftly and you stare at him, because how can he know all this? Where does he put all this knowledge? You feel empty in comparison.
He's hot when he talks. You love how intelligent he is. Only, it makes you wonder and worry if your own lack of input makes you the opposite. You feel suddenly and intangibly ugly for knowing less. Remus is everything to you. He needs someone who can talk to him. Someone to keep him on his toes, and in that moment it doesn't feel like it's you.
"Hey, what's up? Am I being boring?" he asks, dropping his book with a small smile. He stands from the armchair and walks to your side, tilting your head up to face him. He strokes your face delicately. "Sorry," he says, leaning down to kiss your forehead, "It's all toff, I know."
"No, of course it isn't. It's great."
He chuckles. "You don't have to lie. I know it's all jargon. Sometimes philosophy turns into a big jerk circle of feeling intelligent without actually saying anything worth saying."
He smirks as he says it, rubbing his thumb into your cheek, small circles. You laugh loudly at his definition.
"Jerk circle?" you ask.
He goes white. "You know, when-"
"I know what it means."
His laughter is sheepish and relieved at once. He drops his head to yours and kisses your cheek. "Good. I didn’t want to explain."
You should carry on the joke. It's a cheap one, you could say tens of funny things.
Remus takes notice of your quiet and kisses your cheek again before standing at full height.
"Sorry for defiling your ears, dove. With the circle and the philosophy."
"Don't be sorry. I'm sorry."
"For what?" he asks, practically offhanded, distracted by doting.
He's touching your hair, your ears, your neck, smoothing over your skin in big sweeping gestures.
"For being stupid."
He gasps loudly, your face cradled between his big palms. "And who said anything about that?" he asks, a teasing tone to his words. He squeezes your cheeks.
"Nobody, just. I know it must be irritating. That I can't say anything smart."
"You say smart things all the time," he says, a little more seriously. Your chin grazes his t-shirt as he stands closer, neck craned to look as he looks down. "And you never irritate me. So put that out of your head."
"Are you sure?" you ask quietly.
"Yes," he says through a laugh, copying your pout, "Yes, of course I am. You're not stupid, dove. And I don't expect you to know everything about niche wank like that, it's just something I've been reading."
"Gonna wash your mouth out with soup," you mutter, closing your eyes to hide from your own vulnerability.
His thumb brushes against your closed lashes. "Try it, sweet girl. We'll have really clean kisses for a while."
You peel your eyes open and jut your chin until he gives you a kiss. This one is normal amounts of clean, charged with relief. Remus' reassurance is invaluable, his soft touch doubly so as he rubs his hands down your neck gently.
"Sorry for being weird," you say when you're done.
Remus sounds only partially breathless as he plants a quick kiss on your jaw. "Not weird. Don't be sorry. I love you, okay?"
"I love you too."
"That's the only thing stupid about you," Remus says smugly.
You pinch his arms until he takes it back.

20 questions game
Thank you @luthordamnvers for the tag!!
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 10 on AO3. many deleted on FF-net.
2. What’s your total AO3 words count? 309,689 which is like, wow, not that much. especially given that one story accounts for 105k of that.
3. What fandoms do you write for? supercorp for AO3. i've definitely entertained the idea of writing for other fandoms, but haven't made it to an actually completed document yet. i've thought a LOT about writing for harlivy.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Mrs. & Mrs. Danvers, Fidelity, would you forget me (do i know you?), i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart), and What I Do When I Have Writer's Block. i have writer's block a lot.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? i always try to respond to comments! i get that other people may not, so no judgment, but i figure if someone took the time to write to me, i can take the time to write back to them. it just seems like it fosters more community and the idea that we are all big fans, even just consumers, and appreciate artists of all types.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? i don't really write angst ending fics, but i've fleshed out a somewhat angsty 'No Way Home' spider-man AU that is pretty angsty.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? probably i carry your heart. faster than a speeding date is also the closest i think i've ever come to fluff.
8. Do you get hate on fics? it's not common, but it's happened. i try to remind people to engage with the content they want to read. everything is tagged on ao3. there really isn't an excuse to be reading 7 full chapters only to then leave a comment like 'i hated this.' then what are you doing here? and if someone is pointing out something they believe to be problematic in my writing, i do my best to fix it. i've had both bad faith and good faith comments, and i really appreciate the latter. m&m au is a bit of a tough one because the original movie is QUITE problematic. that's where i've gotten these comments the most.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind? like many, i'm sure, i've tried. i'm not sure if i've succeeded. i'm really impressed with the skills it takes to do so. i think people massively underestimate how hard and vulnerable it can be.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? i have never written a crossover.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? yes.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? yes.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before? no, but i think that would be really fun.
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship? i've had a lot of ships that i'm going to list here: harry/ginny. snape/lily. jack/juliet. selene/michael. buffy/angel. buffy/faith. mulder/scully. alison/emily. santana/brittany. villanelle/eve. kara/lena. poison ivy/harley. adora/catra. i've never written as many fics for anyone as i have for supercorp, so i guess it would have to be that.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? there was this sex positive krypton/exchange student au prompt that i got so long ago, years ago, where i fell in love with the concept so much, i developed an entire original novel about it. the novel is absolutely a rip off of supercorp with different names because i didn't want to give DC my worldbuilding for krypton. i have about 60% of the plot written, but i am SO BAD at writing original stuff that i'm worried i'll never get it done. sometimes i've thought about just writing the god damn fanfic because at least then y'all would get to see it. i'm so obsessed with that story. it's absolutely insane.
16. What are your writing strengths? i've been told action and dialogue. a kind of "movie like" description or pacing.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? i'm going to say the same thing as the person who tagged me: Actually writing.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? it would be really cool! i just don't speak any other languages well enough to write in. i don't mind people who want to translate at all though.
19. First fandom you wrote for? harry/ginny. basic.
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?  eternal sunshine au. i wrote it in less than 30 days, which has never happened again. and i felt like, even though i didn't at the time, that it actually captured both the essence of the movie and supercorp perfectly. it's one of those stories that is so HEAD canon to me, that sometimes i forget none of it happened in the show. i wish it had. i was so unimpressed by the explanation of why kara lied to lena, even though the 100th episode dangled the potential of it so close to our faces. in my mind, i just erase that, like my story, and imagine my version instead.

For the past two years, my partner and I have spent October watching horror movies. Some are films we know, others are new to us. Each year, we try to theme the movies; 2021 had Undead October (all vampires, zombies, and ghosts), and 2022 had Otherworldly October (all threats from space or other planes of reality).
2023’s theme? Kingtober - all movies based on stories by Stephen King.
We try to watch a movie everyday, but sometimes life gets in the way. The last two years, we’ve ended up with around 21 movies watched. We’re just shy of three weeks in, and up to 14 movies.
Our reviews so far:
(Note: these reviews are our opinions. As always, your mileage and tastes may vary.)
Movie 1: Carrie (1976). Stephen King’s first published novel, the first film adaptation of his work, and one of the best. The direction and cinematography is fantastic, and while maybe not scary, it tells a tragic tale of a girl victimized on all sides. Highly recommended. A.
Movie 2: The Shining (1980). I’m a fan of the book, and… I have notes. I’m with King on this one - Kubrick did not make a good adaptation. He has a great sense of framing shots, but no sense of humanity. Jack’s slide into madness feels more like a facade cracking. C at best.
(Yeah, that one’s going to be controversial. I know it’s a very famous film, and Kubrick is a director with vision, but I don’t feel like he gets people well. Also knowing what he did to Shelley Duvall makes it hard to watch her scenes.)
Movie 3: Doctor Sleep (2019). An intriguing sequel to The Shining, and you definitely need to have seen that film to appreciate the visuals in this one. Better characters, but a far more complex plot that doesn’t quite fire on all cylinders. Decent use of Chekov’s boxes, though. A high B-.
Movie 4: Silver Bullet (1985). A passable popcorn werewolf movie. Good story (Cycle of the Werewolf is a good novella) marred by some rough acting, uneven pacing, and some really bad effects. I’m guessing they didn’t have Rick Baker werewolf money. A solid C+, and very watchable.
Movie 5: Cat’s Eye (1985). A perfectly serviceable anthology with two thrillers based on short stories, and one new kid’s fantasy/horror story. Really only marred by horrible synth music. It would get a B, but Drew Barrymore gets flipped off by a troll, so it gets an automatic A+.
Movie 6: The Dead Zone (1983). One of the best King adaptations so far, easily up there with Carrie. David Cronenberg is a fantastic director, and he and Christopher Walken tell Johnny Smith’s tragic story of unwanted psychic visions with craft and grace. This one gets a solid A.
Movie 7: Creepshow (1982). George Romero and Stephen King’s homage to old EC horror comics. It’s intentionally campy and wonderfully stylish, with vivid colors and dark comedy throughout. Good use of animated interludes, which really drives home the comic book feel. A fun B+.
Movie 8: Christine (1983). The tale of a boy and his evil, possessed, regenerating murder car. John Carpenter does a great job adapting the book to film, and has some fantastic shots, the best of which is Christine in flames chasing a bully down like the devil itself. Another solid A.
Movie 9: Children of the Corn (1984). Wow, this movie was bad. Poor pacing, terrible effects, high-school-level acting, multiple characters making dumb decisions, and odd exposition kids ruin what is otherwise a neat concept. Such a letdown after the last two films. D-.
Movie 10: It (2017). This one was solid, a very good adaptation. It did a good job of ratcheting up the terror, making you want to see how It was going to mess with the members of the Losers Club, and had good character arcs too. Let’s hope Part 2 holds up as well. This one gets an A.
Movie 11: It Part 2 (2019). So, yeah, the follow-up was just about as good as the first one. Excellent pacing with moments to breathe and laugh between the horrors, and a surprising amount to say about trauma and healing. Maybe a bit overlong, but still good. B+.
Movie 12: Graveyard Shift (1990). A movie about an old textile mill with one hell of a rat problem. This one is both over- and under-acted at the same time, and the lead has zero presence or charisma. Mildly entertaining, though, in a campy way. Still better than Children of the Corn. C-.
Movie 13: 1408 (2007). One skeptical writer vs. the most evil room ever. Purely psychological/paranormal horror, and excellently written and acted. Lots of fake outs and mean-spirited twists in this smallest of haunted houses. Among the best we’ve watched so far, and an easy A.

"You're just being paranoid!"
"What's next?! You'll lock me in the house because you're afraid of the air I'm breathing?!"
"You're just too young to understand!"
"Then make me understand! Because this is definitely not helping. There are better ways."
"TRY HARDER! Because right now, you're not helping anyone! Not me, not you, no one!"
"It will take time for me to learn. But I am learning."
"_____, are you out of your mind? You've been out of touch for so long."
"If I take things slow, I'll lose all my momentum."
"Of course I heard them. I just chose to ignore most of it. It's none of my business, is it?"
"Sometimes we don't even realize what we're capable of doing."
"And I thought I was the only one who brought bad news..."
"You've never looked like someone who needs help."
"I'm sorry, _____. I'm not really in the mood for this sort of conversation."
"You're still trying to get laid?"
"That sounds like the best plan you've had since you got here."
"It's nothing. We're just friends, you know?"
"It was a slip of the tongue, okay! I'm sorry!"

*you feel a terrifying presence enter the room*
i don’t know if you’ve heard about goodbye, eri by tatsuki fujimoto, but your fragile reader concept just reminded me of that.
in the manga, the main character is recording all his moments with his bestfriend, eri. he’s using his phone to save all the good times he’s ever had with her, because eri has a sickness. over the months her sickness worsens and he keeps recording these memories of eri on his camera/phone. in the last video, he’s shown recording eri in a hospital bed. by the end of the whole recording, he says “goodbye, eri.”
I couldn’t help but imagine fragile reader and dottore in this, they eerily reminded me of goodbye, eri. like what if zandik made a device to record all your interactions together only to end up having videos of you from centuries ago, with you now being in a comatose state and he, no longer able to make new memories with you. having only recordings left of you in a device.
throughout the manga, eri is always shown to be happy in the clips shown of her. she stayed positive even in her final hours. so imagine fragile reader trying to keep zandik hopeful for their recovery all whilst deteriorating in front of him.
the rest of the novel is silly, but the beginning of it is so sad. bro after eri dies the main character started to spiral. he even has to record his moms death.
Sorry for the small synopsis about the manga itself.. it’s really beautiful and I felt like your fragile reader concept was similar to it - just without all the modern stuff.. :,)
*my body quivers at this sudden presence*
LORD... alright so i decided to go read it because you had me intrigued and i also like some of fujimoto's other works and WOW... I had to keep pausing while reading cuz omfg… you weren’t joking that was SAD. The way my heart dropped at the vampire doesn’t have long left to live… and afraid of being forgotten… I JUST KNEW SOMETHING BAD WAS GONNA HAPPEN UGHHHH!! “The rest of it was silly” NO IT WASNT?!?!? I MEAN SOME OF IT WAS BUT STILL. and that ending. i had no idea that would happen. But yeah very fragile reader and Dottore core 😞
I imagine fragile reader is also scared of being forgotten, whether they're alive or dead. Though obviously, it's not very logical, they're scared that one day, Dottore would wake up and simply not care about them anymore. Or if they die, he would forget them and all the memories shared would be for nothing. He's the only person in all of Teyvat who remembers you and your past, so if he forgets, then it's as if you never existed at all. It's cruel to imagine. Although it hurts, you always try to hide your pain, whether it's your thoughts or your actual condition, from Dottore. You don't want to burden him with your feelings. You should be able to handle them yourself, you think. Dottore has so much on his plate too after all, you can deal with your problems by yourself. So... you'll just keep smiling even when it hurts to do so.
AND YEAHHHH i love that idea so much ❤️ my moot Kai made a similar brainrot a while ago! I think it's sooo cute because the idea of him making a whole new invention just for us is so romantic <3 And i think you and Kai have already touched on all the possible angst for the recording device brainrot... so I'll add some fluff! In that manga, there are panels of Eri going to a few pretty places and having casual fun with Yuta. I like to imagine that after you wake up, and when you're finally able to go outside, the segments always make sure to record you at every new place you two go to. To add to the collection.

✨Biocomponents✨
Tumblr media
I have never seen such a literal representation of a concept.
Literally, the left half is such a musculo-intestinal kind of bio that it’s a lil gross looking lol, and the right side is such a futuristic synthetic component that I’m just, like—wow, they really just did that, didn’t they. Not just components with similar functions to human organs or an electronic equivalent/holding place, but a legit cybernetic mashup of flesh and metal.
Idk man, it’s just a fascinating piece of world-building detail I’m very 👀 for.
Kamski just be out here imagining himself as the actual Victor Frankenstein lol
(But of course, we already knew that he fancies himself as such, what with that shirt he’s got on in one of the secret ending epilogues being a passage straight from the original 1818 Frankenstein novel by Mary Shelley and all…)
