i think one of my favorite parts about reading a great book is the feeling you get weeks or months or even years later when thinking about the experience and feelings you had when you first read it

#like whenever i think about reading tsoa or normal people or ask again yes or the kite runner (to name just a few) i get filled with such a #warm feeling and also feel very nostalgic for that specific feeling of engrossment i had during the period i read them #like i enjoy most things i read to be honest but there’s something so truly magical about those few books that just really get you #i am just so glad i went from being someone who read one to two books a year tops for enjoyment #to someone who now craves consuming more stories and truly loving to read over the last year #my bookshelves are like completely full now and i love looking at them like.. that’s my own lil library 🥺 #this is all coming from me being very burnt out bc of school & i cant wait to be done to have more mental energy to devote to books ! #mine
