If you got to write an ongoing for Rose, what major arcs would you do? Would you have her ice Slade? Would she team up with Jason's Outsiders, end up with Tatsu or Babs, or be her own free agent occasionally punching other heroes?

oh my god yes. im just kinda gonna start dumping thoughts here with no organization im so sorry but here we go

so first of all i know i will never get this but my ideal rose ongoing would be her working mostly alone but sometimes teaming up with people bc she doesnt like to stay with anyone for long but she DOES work with other people when she needs them

shes been in gotham for a while so id prob keep her there and have her team up with other ppl in gotham every once in a while bc. i want her to. i just think gotham is a good place for her because it is a city of the most stubborn people in the world so she would fit right in

id prob have her do kind of the same thing she was up to in Fresh Hell and taking down various crime rings bc i dont really see her caring much about the costumed villains, not to mention there are a hundred other vigilantes in gotham for the Big Bads

also having her in gotham kind of opens up so many roads SO. gotham vigilante teamups <3 first things first i feel the need to say her and bruce would not have any need to interact and i dont think either of them would really want to fhdkjfhdsf like rose is trained and mostly doesnt kill people so i dont think batman would really care what shes doing until she does something bad, and rose wouldnt really like batman (for various reasons that i wont go into rn) so they would kinda just be doing their own thing

ANYWAYS in general i think that the idea of rose teaming up with bats is sooooo funny bc most of the bats are very meticulous planners and make whole schemes for everything they do. while 90% of the time roses plan is "im gonna go in and start punching people and see what happens" so i think she would give whoever shes working with an aneurysm and thats kind of hilarious to me

i want her to team up with steph and cass for homoerotic reasons because they all have so many narrative parallels, ESPECIALLY with cass so i need them to team up again <3 idk what they would be up to besides getting on each others nerves but i need it so bad

also rose & jason Now.. they r besties to me. i feel like they get into a lot of the same shit so they would also team up fairly often :) not to mention both of them have abandonment issues so they would have the most toxic friendship that constantly shifts between codependency and disappearing whenever something bad happens <3 besties<3333333

honorable mention teamups are babs who im pretty sure ive already talked about a babs&rose teamup before so i wont go into it, helena who i honestly have only read in bop so idk a lot about her but from what i do know i think she and rose would get along, harley who i would only want her to team up with because it would be a fucking mess, dick who i want her to team up with because it would also be a fucking mess but in a different way (renegade arc part 2 but this time theyre both heroes so rose can annoy him even more), duke who i want to include just because i love him even though i cant imagine any reason for him and rose to interact, young justice who arent all gotham heroes but i want them to be around to temporarily absorb rose just for fun, and the entire arrowfam who have no reason to be in gotham but i just want rose to fuck around with them as a treat to ME

as for slade. i think that their relationship is best written when it is really complicated for her :) so i need her to fall back into the cycle of going to him and looking for his approval and being constantly disappointed and angry when he refuses to give it to her :)

anyways ARCS. i dont have a lot of specific ideas for arcs besides another arc of rose giving up the name ravager (bc it didnt fucking stick last time), an arc making her a lesbian (stop booing me im right) and maybe an arc of rose killing slade then immediately spiraling about it bc :))))) yippee :))))))))))

uhhh okso. goddamn this is gonna be long, here is a cut for your health and safety <3

bruces hair has been 100% the same 100% of his life. maybe he had it like a little longer for like a year when he was 20 but that was IT. back to default right afterwards. hes like the settings ur videogame character is on when u open up customization

dick is fortunately a bit more interesting. he had the cute floppy little boy haircut until he was in like his mid teens and then he was like imma grow it out and he did. by the time discowing era rolled around it was LONG long, and he did in fact have a short but traumatic (mainly to bruce, poor man) period with a mullet. post-discowing he figured out what to do with it and settled into a style around shoulder length with lotsa layers so it does that 80s shag surfer rockstar thing. he was later a firm supporter of the covid era shag/wolf cut revival. looks fucking stunning, no doubt he is the supermodel of the fam. chefs kiss

jasons hair is curly (!! i am very particular about this! he has curls) and was pretty short before he met bruce, for easy keeping, and that obviously all the same length sorta look where u can tell it was buzzed at some point. when he’s robin obviously hes got the heart bangs and is just adorable all around. the one thing ur right about is that it gets long when he’s in zombie mode and they shave it in the league. i think in his red hood era he learns to cut his own hair and experiments with lotsa fun stuff like punk hairstyles and shaved sides and at one point a little mini mullet which he somehow pulls off. once or twice he probably bleaches the not-white-streak parts of his hair to try to make it blend in, and goes thru all the weird growing out stages after that. its an all around fun time, and he pulls off way more weird hairstyles than he has any right to tbh

tims hair is very very straight and for most of his childhood and early teen years its in a pretty basic short sides long top sorta cut, low maintenance and fine-looking. he dyes it blue once when hes like 14 and that’s the only time he ever does anything intentional and interesting with his hair, because to him it’s pretty much just a chore. when all the red hood shit starts going down theres a period where he goes full what-is-self-care mode for, like, many months and thus his hair grows out enough for like a tiny scruffy ponytail. its like very badly taken care of tho bc my boy doesnt have TIME to shower, bruce, youre not my REAL dad. once jason and damian both mostly stop trying to murder him on sight, he starts taking care of his hair, but i firmly believe that (for a while at least) he decides not to cut it. YES long haired tim. fight me. i think it’s almost always up, in various buns and braids, and dami and the girls (steph and cass, i mean) really love it which tim finds utterly baffling. but my boy needs to be loved more. cass calls his hair beautiful and he turns into a puddle of goo and doesnt stand up for like 2 days

dami keeps his hair short (not buzzed, but short) while in the league, and when he moves to gotham there’s a period of a couple months where he decides to try to be mini bruce. but bruces hair is kinda hard to recreate and looks a bit silly on him, and also every single one of his family members wont stop MUSSING IT so eventually he gives up and learns to tolerate his normal (if spiky) tweenage hair.

steph is our token blonde but we love her. i think she was one of those girls who decided at like 9 that she wanted to grow her hair out REALLY long, and was like moderately successful at it to the chagrin of most adults in her life (because long hair is SO HIGH MAINTENANCE). not long before her tenure as robin she gets sick of it and chops it to like,,,, idk, armpit length? yeeah. and later in her teens she has a whole cycle (or two) of bangs, she flipflops like weekly on whether she likes the way bangs look on her or not. she usually does them herself, and (everyone but her knows) she rocks them every time

cass i think had longer hair when she was doing the assassin gig, mainly ao it could be tied back, but as soon as she had more agency she went “nope” and chopped it to her normal short bob and has kept it that way ever since.

the one other thing u were right about i think is that duke has had the same hair his entire life, that just sounds correct lmao

I think Jamie would shock you because I reckon that until y/n he HADN'T cheated on Saskia and wouldn't dream of it. I think that Harri has probably had messy nights with other girls on tour, perhaps not necessarily fans because I feel like he's too grounded for the "rock n roll" lifestyle in that sense. After reading Emeries interaction with Danae it was sad to see that when Danae finally meets someone who was able to have an “out” but it seems Emerie wasn’t too keen on really listening and processing Danaes message. She snitched to Rhysand and I hope Emerie didn’t use the words treason. Also Rhysands interactions with Danae and feyre were on point and in character because he is excellent at deflecting and twisting scenarios to paint himself the victim. Poor Feyre just laps it up because he is all she has and she doesn’t ever question him (even though she knows his dubious ass can lie and manipulate like girl come on what happened to book 1 feyres inquisitive nature?) But Rhysand was pissing me off cause he knew all of Danaes criticisms were valid and his guilty conscious is choosing to call it her being treasonous. It was crazy how easily he was able to convince feyre to not go talk to her then and there and talked feyre out of thinking bringing Danae to velaris would be a good thing. But Rhysand is smart cause he knows Danae would be upset because HE KNOWS it is unfair 2/3 of his people suffer while the smallest population of the night court lives in paradise(I refuse to believe ALL the citizens of hewn city are “evil” . so you’re telling me Rhys and Mor are the only dreamers from there?)But he doesnt care and it seems Emerie proved Danae that she can’t trust all the illyrians she sees that are close to the high lord(she def can’t rely on cass cause he’s the #1 boot licker). Danae sees a free Illyrian woman and is happy for her, I like that there wasn’t animosity. But Danae feels there’s more work that needs to be done than sweeping her off into velaris. And when Rhysand said velaris can’t hold all those people (he loves his excuses) all that money that goes to his newly built mansions can easily go into expanding velaris come on now. He’s so rich I know taxes are crazy in the night court.

First disclaimer: my darling emerie didn’t go snitching to Rhys about their convo, he literally asked her to do it.  She couldn’t exactly back out after her high lord told her to do something and she agreed.  But she didn’t use the word “treason”, I can tell you that for sure.

This chapter had me sweating bullets while editing because I really want to show Rhysand’s thought process a bit, but from the pov of someone whose bullshit radar is hella accurate.  Unsurprisingly, he lies to himself a lot. I don’t think it’s intentional, but he’s spent 500 years believing he’s the cauldron’s gift to prythian and hot shit, so any kind of doubt needs to be explained away (this is an oversimplification, but I hope this makes sense).  He has a hard time seeing his own mistakes, because if he just keeps giving and giving and sacrificing and sacrificing, he must be doing a good job, right?  That’s what he’s telling himself.  Everything he was saying to Feyre, he believes it, or he’s convincing himself to believe it.

It’s hard to see your own fallibility and flaws as a human being, I imagine it’s even harder when you’re basically immortal and you’ve had centuries to embrace questionable behavior/character traits/excuses/etc.  Just like Emerie is a victim to the Illyrian thought processes and she’s stopped questioning things as much, Rhysand isn’t questioning things either.  “It’s the way it’s always been” is an excuse for a lot of issues in Night (and the rest of Prythian, Night isn’t the only problem child on the board).  The Court of Nightmares, Velaris being a secret, his own goodness being a secret, the crappy Illyrian traditions of subjugating their females, and probably other things I can’t remember rn.

The court of dreamers has old, dusty and crusty dreams.  500 years ago, they were just as rebellious as Danae is.  This time, Danae is coming to stir the pot of tradition, and Rhys is gonna have a hard time believing that he’s become the obstacle to change.  Fortunately, that just means more drama and plot for us :)

But it basically takes years after the events of Ruin, the ending where Cassie seemed to have died but she didn't in this au since Gregory, Vanessa and Freddy went here and saved her [Also in this au the Princess quest ending is the canon ending for SB]

So basically a good couple of years later Gregory is 20 years old and Vanessa is somewhere in her 40's and Freddy has a full body cause when they saved Cassie, they all live in Ness's house [ima shorten their names] and Gerg is feeling guilt about hurting all of the other animatronics, so he wants to go back and save them but Ness is like ''Hell fuckin no'' but Greg goes and does it anyways cuz he doesn't want to listen to Ness <3

And Cass follows Greg there since she knows how to fix animatronic too [They both took engineering classes btw] but when they get there Cass shows Greg the Vanny mask and Greg puts it on and is like, ''why tf did you hide this?'' and she goes, ''Idk'' so they use the Vanny mask to get around and shit, but this time instead of showing the mimic or the glitch thing it shows Glitchtrap and only to Greg so Greg is confused but ignores him for now

But long story short they turn off all the animatronics and put them all ina area where they can get fixed Including Glamrock Bonnie along with Sun [along with his counterparts] and DJ and then they go home since it took them forever to find and to turn them off [especially since they don't like Greg LMAO]

When they get home Freddy is like ''Where the hell were you two its midnight??'' and they answer, ''Dw about it bbg'' and he goes, ''Alr'' then Cass goes to bed and Greg looks for more information about Glitchtrap since he curious now, and during that he finds Ness's VR headset and he hides it in his bedroom then epps

The next morning he hooks up the VR headset to his TV and plays the HW game from the start, still finding Glithtrap in there and it even talks to him, explaining some things about the game and leaving hints about who he is, witch he is William Afton

Once he finds out who hes talking to is WIlliam Afton he's very confused, since yk William Afton has been dead for YEARS and William explains himself and twists the story so Greg will be on his side 

Something that had been going on as Greg had played the VR, Will had gotten more and more control of Greg without Greg knowing, but to everyone else in the house, something is clearly wrong with Greg but they cant identify what yet 

On one fateful afternoon tho, Ness finds the VR headset in Greg’s bedroom and Greg and Ness have a huge argument about it, to the point where Ness slaps Greg and Freddy has to break them up

As Greg progresses through the vr game, Greg and Cass fix the animatronics at the Pizza Plex one by one, getting them in working cognition but also finding out more about Will

The more info they find about Will at the PP [Pizza Plex] Greg finds out Will lied to him about the actual story witch causes Greg to get mad at Will but he's too far deep to break off from Will’s powers so he keeps losing his mind to the point where he's hearing and seeing things that aren't there, he even makes a bear suit so he could kill

But when Ness, Freddy, and Cass find out about all of this it's too late, he's in Will’s compete control and they cant do anything besides kill Greg, witch no one wants to do so Greg asks Cass t compete fixing the animatronics and then stabs himself multiple times with a knife in front of Ness, Cass and Freddy, witch they all cry over

But thats the bad ending

The good ending is where you fix all the animatronics before Greg loses his mind completely and he's able to fight off Will’s virus

So I have this little headcanon (well,,,, not really a headcanon but more of a nice-to-think-about headcanon because it would never happen but it’s- like the title- nice to think about so im sharing it here) in which they’re all going to the beach in this sorta mini-van that bruce rented. And take in mind that this is the wayne family, but at the same time most people that wear a bat on their chest,,,, so they had to whack some things up.

BUT ANYWAYS, it was Bruce’s dumbass idea to buy a van and call it a road-trip, and honestly? no one was ready. That usually happens with big families, even with one that has most kids over 18. And how everyone was on board with the idea doesn’t matter because this is my headcanon and they are all now squished in a minivan and there are bags in the back and towels in the seats and there’s a cooler on top because it didn’t fit. 

and just for reference the van was like SMALL. it was sort of like the school buses but way smaller, so they’re like buses in which there are three seats in front, driver, and then like two others (the middle one doesn’t really count because that’s where you put waterbottles and stuff). There’s a sort of space in the back, where you usually put the backpacks (these are like elementary school buses and every single kid has those backpacks with wheels and it’s a pain in the ass-) and then there is another set of four seats (that’s more like a sofa but no armrest- god please have patience there is literally not a single image on google im trying to be specific- and those are facing the back of the bus (so the backrest (?) is facing the place with the bags).

THEN we have another seat that’s close to this one but facing the opposite way but it’s only THREE seats so there’s a space for the next row of three seats and then there’s the back one that’s four again.

In conclusion, you can fit 18-ish people, driver counted. 

and continuing with my story, it’s Bruce driving, Alfred as shotgun, a water-bottle or two in the middle, the bags in their respective places... and then... 

disaster. 

Babs is the only one sitting in the four-seat closer to the bags, harper is in the three-seat, Dick is there as well. 

and then there’s the rest. Steph, Cass, Duke, Jason, Tim, Damian, they’re all screaming in the back and they’re throwing towels around and there’s an “OW! THAT WAS MY HAIR YOU DICKHEAD!” and a “THAT’S MINE!” and so many other things because. the back of the bus, it’s cURSED. And Bruce is just driving with a strained smile because he wants so badly to turn around and throw a waterbottle at each of their heads to get them to shut up (of course, it wouldn’t work because not even god can calm down the back of the bus)

Tim and Jason somehow get into this argument of how tim ‘has no friends’ and Tim shoots back that in fact he DOES, that he’s calling them right this instant. And bruce doesn’t even have a chance to yell at them, because now there’s a speedster and a cloned kryptonian right beside the moving minivan and Bruce is lowkey freaking out because none of them (the ones in the van and the ones out) are wearing their superhero costumes, and then Tim is just with his hands pressed on the window and he’s like practically banging the glass and waving and they can’t hear him but he’s like “HEY! HEY HYE HEY YOU GUYS MADE IT!!!” and then dick is just telling them to cut it out and slow down because you know, identities, and Steph is like HOLY SHIT THEY DID MAKE IT and Damian is just sitting upside down with his legs in the backrest off the seat and Duke is in the same position, making fun of Damian because his feet don’t reach. 

Kon and Bart seem to get the hint because they slow down, but not before bart has literally jumped towards the MOVING VAN and vibrated through (i’m like 99% sure he is able to do that so-) and then he literally landed on Tim (tim actually softened his fall, because Tim’s back literally made a ~crack~ sound by hitting somebody’s knee) and stood up real quick and then started waving and laughing at kon, who was now running normal-speed beside the van. 

And then bruce went FASTER and kon was like WHAT THE HECK OLD MAN and he can’t use his powers so he’s literally running behind the van and bart is laughing his ass off and then tim is like “BRUCE STOP THE VAN!” and then Bart is already calling cassie and telling her what happened and you can hear cassie laughing from over the phone and then Tim is just yelling at bruce in the background. Bruce eventually DOES stop, and Tim opens the door for him and Kon crawls in and Bart’s still laughing, and he’s practically leaning onto Dick and Harper, and they’re squished together and bart’s just laughing on the phone while Kon sits on the really far end of the opposite seat (practically on the door) so he’s the furthest from babs as possible because he’s actually terrified of her. Tim is just sorta awkward because he now realizes that he was a bit TOO excited to see kon, and then the back of the bus/van is staring at them and like what the hell and then Tim goes “who doesn’t have friends, huh?”, and Jason goes ‘pfft’ and he calls roy but he’s spending time with lian; he calls artemis and she goes, “but wasn’t this a family trip? what do you need me for?”, SO jaosn calls bizarro and then he barely answers the phone when bizarro goes “RED HER SAID NO. BYE” so Jason slumps and it’s quiet for a second when steph goes “is that GUM IN MY HAIR”. And then jason laughs and its chaos all over again. (i might make a ‘things that were heard from the back of the road trip bus post bc i have so many ideas oh my god)

and then they are at the beach, the bus barely stops and there’s a few bags thrown out the window, and people yelling at Kon to open the door, and Kon not being able to work under pressure so tim opens it and everyone’s pushing each other and Steph has an uneven strand of hair, because Damian went to ‘extreme measures’ and cut it so now steph’s hair is uneven and they were going to keep cutting it “to make it even” but then Alfred was like “you’re all going to clean the van afterwards so think carefully” and then nobody did anything and there’s literally a ziploc bag with steph’s strand of hair (damian didn’t even cut to where the gum was, he cut even FURTHER but yes, the gum is in the bag). 

As I was saying, they get out of the van, and the bags are out and Bruce has NO IDEA what to do. none. It’s alfred that rents a tent and then Damian’s chasing duke into a random restaurant’s changeroom and showers and then cass is dragging harper that’s dragging steph that’s dragging jason and tim is getting the bags with Kon and bart and bart realizes that he doesn’t  have a swimsuit and then he stops walking and Kon seems to realize too and it’s like OH MAN and they can’t run back (because no powers, rule set by bruce when two super-powered bros came in the bus) and They’ recarrying the bags to this tent (do you guys know what im talking about? i feel like we’re imagining completely different things- it’s this but much more people and there’s a bunch of people selling stuff like sunglasses and doign hair, piercings, tattoos even - for the tattoos thing it’s just promo for an actual shop they don’t tattoo you in the actual beach - ) and It’s literally Kon, tim and bart carrying the bags (which they CAN carry between the three, it’s not like they packed up half the manor) and then a minute later or so Steph is sprinting towards Tim and she’s yelling something Tim can’t understand and then Steph points at her bag (that tim’s carrying) and she screams something like “SAND! HOT!” and then she’s like high-knee-ing/sprinting even faster and Cass is just walking barefoot in the sand, super calm, but she’s got Harper on her back. Damian and Duke are racing towards the shadow (because the sand is cooler there), and next thing you know Jason’s aready in the tent with a coconut. 

And if you haven’t thougth about how the Batfam would be in the beach then let me tell you, you don’t have enough spare time because i know for a FAT FACT that: 

It was Jason that insisted on Bruce buying sand toys (a whole bag, i swear)

Damian tried coconut water, didn’t like it all that much (altho he loves the inside- idk what it’s called but it’s edible i swear)

Bruce put on an excessive amount of sunscreen

Duke has swimming trunks with the robin logo just to piss damian off (also Damian has matching ones but with the batman one)

Steph, Cass and Harper rented a banana boat (here’s a picture) and they dragged Jason and Tim along, just to toss them off in the end 

Jason 1000% got stung by a jellyfish 

Bruce bought like seven friendship bracelets from this guy that made them because they looked deadass cool 

They played beach volleyball and let me tell you Damian can throw a really mean overhand serve (actually, i don’t think you THROW a serve, but like,,, serve one-)

bart was pissy because he couldn’t go in the water, so he and Kon sprinted with normal speed (they both had water-proof anklets that sucked their powers, so it was REALLY  a no-powers vacation, courtesy of Bruce, again.)

the only ones in stock were neon, and they settled real quick so now theyre sprinting back and cardying a bag of keychains they thought looked rad as hell and now tim caught up to them and all three are practically skipping towards the water

,,,,they forgot to put sunscreen on.... all of them,,, they forgot....

in teams of two (kon/bart, tim/cass, duke/harper, steph/jason, dick/damian) got on each other shoulders and basically spent five minutes trying to see who would be the last team standing, splashing water everywhere and stuff

first team to go down was Dick and damian, because steph pushed damian and by trying to keep himself on Dick's shoulders, damian accidentally poked dick's eye (sort of CLAWED in so you know what i mean).

second team to go down was steph and jason, because damian doesnt play fair and so he swam down and literally just scratched Jason's ankle, knowing damn well that the jellyfish sting was there. Jaosn shrieked and steph lost her balance. so much for vigilantes at night with stealth and talent, huh.

third team to go down was tim and bart because kon insisted on being on bart’s shoulders and that’s easy peasy because i mean, bart’s not WEAK, but he’s not TALL either and it’s not like Kon weighs a feather and they’re on the deeper side,,,,, you can imagine the rest

Now there’s two teams, and they call it a tie because otherwise someone’s gonna end up injured (altho tim likes to say that he and cass won)

There’s music playing in the background, with really vulgar lyrics that alfred disapproves of, but you know. It’s not his beach.

OMG I CAN’T TELL YOU THE CONTEXT OF HOW THIS CROSSED MY MIND BUT:

MMA athlete falls for professional Ballet dancer AU.

Cass is the ballet dancer, Steph is the MMA fighter.

Steph’s athlete name is “Spoiler” because she is famous for knocking out people quickly, “spoiling” the fight by ending it too early.

In every other aspect, however, she’s a showgirl, smiling, dancing and playfighting before she climbs on the ring. A lot of competitors think she’s annoying because of that, but she’s never disrespectful, always bowing to her competitors before and after the fight, no matter the result. She gathers a lot of fans quickly because of her charm.

Cass is a very disciplined dancer. Very serious about her art, practicing all the time.

Adopted by the Wayne family, she had a tough past and has selective mutism. She can sometimes talk to Bruce, Dick, Alfred, Tim, and Babs if she feels comfortable. Other than that, she communicates with sign language.

She is in Gotham’s ballet company. (Maybe she dreams about going abroad, maybe she doesn’t, depends on what’s the main point of the fic really) She seems intimidating to anyone who doesn’t talk to her, but the few dancers that made an effort to know her quickly realized that she’s really sweet and helpful, always happy to help others improve their dance skills

Steph is dragged to a ballet presentation by her friends, Tim and Jason, because their sister is going to be performing and they are endlessly proud of her. It’s an original play from Gotham’s ballet academy, and she thinks she’ll be bored out of her mind, but when the presentations starts and the character called “Black Bat” comes on the stage, she has her eyes glued on the dancer, and when she steps out of the stage she keeps expecting her return.

Tim notices this, of course. He’s smart and he’s known this girl for some time now. He also knows that Steph has never met Cass and can’t wait to see her reaction when she finds out the dancer she’s already head over heels for is his sister.

Of course, Tim insists she meets Cass after the show, and she chokes on her spit when she sees Cass for the first time, in her Black Bat outfit.

She tries to be confident, but she’s a bit of a gay mess tm.

Cass finds her odly endearing.

Steph, upon learning that Cass uses ASL to communicate begs Tim for lessons.

She doesn’t even tries to hide her crush from him, she knows she won’t be able to.

She dedicates herself so much to the lessons that she picks it up surprisingly quickly.

Cass is surprised with how quickly she’s able to have full conversations with her in ASL, even if she has to take it slow and sometimes needs to pause and say things out loud that she still can’t quite translate.

All through this, Steph takes Cass to all kinds of amazing places that Bruce doesn’t let her go to in Gotham, because he’s afraid something bad will happen to her. Steph isn’t afraid of those places, because she grew up in worse ones, and now she can activey protect herself and Cass, so she takes her behind his back.

Steph teaches Cass how to throw punches and some more basic self-defence moves, and she’s too great at it. Cass tries to teach Steph some basic ballet moves, but she’s a complete disaster when it comes to dance, her body too stiff and used to the short and calculated jiu-jitsu moves, or the thightness and rapid moves from boxing.

Cass finds her attempts adorable.

It doesn’t take long for Steph to figure out that Cass can read her body language. She doesn’t think that even Cass fully knows what she’s doing, she just knows that she can always tell how everyone is feeling. Steph spends some time trying to find out why does she have such a skill, and doesn’t realize something very important.

A few days later she wakes up in the middle of the night when the realization hits her

“OH FUCK, SHE KNOWS”

She freaks out about it with Tim, who is just... “Why don’t you confess then?” - “NO I CANT WHAT IF SHE DOESNT LIKE ME” - “If she didn’t like you then she wouldn’t go on dates with you” - “Those weren’t dates?”  “They were to her.” - “Oh. OH.”

She runs after Cass, who’s training in her studio, thinking of this beautiful speech she’s gonna recite to her, but when she gets there she just... Blinks. Stay still, watching this beautiful girl pour her spirit into her art, allowing her to see this piece of her soul, and suddely nothing she could ever say would compare to that. So when Cass is done she goes up to her, placing a hand on her shoulder

“I love you.”

Cass signs to her “I know. Me too.”

“I’m gonna kiss you now.”

Cass nods

And holy shit, it feels like the world is exploding and rebuilding slowly.

After that, whenever she wins a fight Steph yells “This is for you, my Black Bat!” and throws a kiss at the camera or into the crowd.

Every one is confused as fuck, because they’re not out for the general public yet. They just assume she has a boyfriend with that nickname.

When asked about it by the local news, she just says “You really think I’m straight? With all of the effort I’ve put in all this? Kind of offended now, not gonna lie.”

And when Cass is finally ready to come out, everyone is like “Ooooh, that makes sense”

I don’t even ship those two all that much tbh, I even like to headcannon Cass as aro/ace (Although this would work super well for ace Cass too, I guess?) But they are the pairing that fits this the most in my mind. (Although Dickbabs could work too, or even Robinstar (Dick is the ballet dancer, ofc), and maybe even TimKon? Or Damijon? it could work with many ships if you really want to)

So yeah, I’d love for this to be a cliche fic plot. I might even try my hand at it, but rn I can’t sooooo... If someone sees this and feels inspired by it, send me the link when you’re done, hahahahahahaha!

Why are the Illyrians call Nesta a witch. What are we missing, what didnt we see, why is she a witch to them? My 15x06 Opinion

Golden Time

This was a really good episode despite my disapproval of the end. I can be objective :) 

We have a very fun start with Dean moping adorably around in his hotdog PJs binging on cereal and Scooby-doo.  And be still my beating heart, Sam going for a run! There’s nothing unsexy about sweaty, messy-haired, athletic Sam in sweats!! But oh wait... ghost Eileen appears.  She’s stuck as a ghost, having escaped Hell when the gates opened. Strangely enough, the Winchesters are stuck on the word of a demon that people cant enter Heaven if they have ever been to Hell. I gotta say, I'm kinda disappointed that the boys just take his word for it, is that just me?

Meanwhile, we have Cass on his own. On a mission to find a missing kid. I have to give it to Cass, he was pretty interesting this week, and I loved his look of complete done-ness when Dean was barking at him on the phone. I also gotta love Dean for his “Don’t you dare ignore my brother” attitude! 

In other news, another local witch tried to get into Rowena’s stash and got dead in the process. Sam is going to Rowena’s apartment to find a spell and a crystal to put Eileen in to keep her fro going back to Hell or going insane as a ghost. When he gets there, he finds the body, the apt in disarray and nothing of good witchy value in the immediate area. Eileen finds a secret room where all Rowena’s goodies are and Sam goes in. This was a nice moment Sam had of remembering her.  Might I say, he took her death much harder than he’s taken others deaths aside from Dad’s and Dean’s many. I dont even think he looked this shaken by his Mom’s death, but much has to do with him killing her Im sure. 

Upon leaving, Sa buckles in pain, spitting blood, of course he has been hexed. Now I think it’s so cute that even though he knows very little sign language, he knows how to sign “My brother” to tell Eileen to go get him.  Sam, of course, is thusly abducted.

After Sam’s obligatory “tied up and mildly tortured” scene, he takes a young witch with him to get a resurrection spell from Row’s apt. The witch states her now-dead sister made her life hell. Sam trie to relate by saying Dean put Super Glue in his toothpaste when he was 10, which was instantly trumped by real horrors the young witch endured. Thats right Sam, Dean isnt such a bad brother...but you know that ;)

Sam tries to convince the girl to run start a new life, be happy, and she accuses him of lying and a big fight scene starts.  Dean arrives in time to save Sam, Eileen saves Dean, then Sam saves Eileen. TADAAAH!!

Now we have the scene that screams “Sam and Eileen are gonna bang!” to me. They couldnt leave Eileen as their host friend that is the inspiration they need to try to fix Heaven or make a new one or whatever, no, lets bring her back to life because I guess we need to get Sam laid before whatever fate befalls him at the end of the series, go out with a BANG as they say 😣

We have a spell to bring Eileen back, because obviously, bringing people back to life has always worked out so well for the Winchesters, they should definitely do it again!!! And this spell requires Sam to draw a nice deep soaking bath, in a modern tub that the boys must have installed themselves because it doesnt fit the MOL time period motif they've always had,  sprinkle in some herbs (probably rose petals too why tf not)  speak some extra sexy Latin, and have Sam modestly turn around because he’s a gentleman, and found the only resurrection spell to date that brings ‘em back naked. Candlelight, soft music, Sam’s ample bosom heaving breathlessly in anticipation for the spell to work. Of course it does, theres a twinkle in Sam’s eyes as he hears the water splash... “Sam?”  He hears and takes as the OK to turn around. It worked!! His 4 yr crush-when-convenient is back to life because again, this has always worked out so good. 

She holds out her hand for Sam to take it... this is so y’all know she initiated the sex they have/had later that we’ll either get to see the cuddle in bed, or get a verbal acknowledgment of. I may literally puke if we actually get a sex scene.  Sorry, it was fine back when the bros barely liked each other, but theyve been more or less married for years now and it just seems wrong. Oh dont worry, if Sam gets laid, Dean will too. Though Sam did put Eileen to bed without sex because she needs sleep, we need to know this because it wont seem as creepy if we know he at least let some time pass and didnt take advantage of possible vulnerability. 

I hope I can come back next episode or so and be very glad I was wrong, because I know a lot of you dont think they’ll bang, but I say theres no reason whatsoever for a scene like that other than to prep us for romance and not leave any of you saying “Wait! Where did that come from?? They only think of each other as friends!” 

I hope its short lived, not that I want Eileen to die... again... but lets just have her go off hunting on her own because if she is Sam’s end game (which I dont think she is) I will unwatch the entire series and never let it on my screen again 😑

Honorable mention to Cass, congrats on solving your first case by yourself and I actually really dug you losing your shit on the Djinn!! 

So aside from my personal disapproval, on a scale of Bloodlines to Lebanon Ill say this was another very good one. Ill give it a 7, deducting a full point for giving me agita.

May Reading Wrap Up

I'm actually really proud of myself. I finished 13 books last month. Spent a lot of extra time away from screens and focusing on my mental health so I burned through way more than I normally would. So anyways, here's my reviews. - Also please understand that these are just my opinions and if I shit on your favorite book I'm sorry that I didn't enjoy it as much as you. Also, also Im terrible with character names.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor ⭐⭐⭐

I actually started this book at the end of April but didn't finish it til May 1st so whatever, here it is. This books is a YA urban fantasy novel about a girl with a double life. She spends half her days studying art in Europe and the other half running errands for a tooth collecting wish monger. I don't want to say a whole lot more because I dont want to spoil anything important about the plot. So, I'll try to be vague. Let me start by saying this story is amazing. I loved the writing and the world. I rated it so low solely because I can't stand the two main characters and it really dragged down what would have otherwise been an amazing novel. So yeah, great book but its a preference thing. Also took points off for the insta-love but not really insta-love shit. Idk. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this read even a month later. Gonna read the second to see if maybe my hatred of the two mains was just a fluke.

This is the third book in the Hex Hall trilogy. Not much to say about it. It was a meh ending to an overall pretty good series. 3/5 stars. Moving on.

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

Realizing now how many of my reads this month were pretty middle of the world. Hopefully next month will be filled with 4 and 5 stars. Anyways, this book was honestly a struggle for me to finish and Im not sure why. It's a YA mystery magical realism story about a tiny coastal town that is cursed by the spirits of 3 sisters who were suspected of witchcraft and drowned 2 centuries prior. Because of this, every year the sisters return from the sea to take the lives of teenage boys by luring them to the sea. We follow the life of kind of meh and standard YA girl #1. She meets a strange non tourist boy and hires him to work in the lighthouse her family owns. Her dad randomly disappeared years ago and her mom is a loon. So yeah... I dont know. I kind of felt like this story was hot garbage in places. I usually dont have any trouble with the suspense of disbelief in magical realism stories but this one just had too many plot holes. Like, I get morbid stuff becomes tourist attractions but why wouldn't someone have stepped in and evacuated the town if at least 3 teenage boys die there EVERY SINGLE YEAR without fail? I honestly feel like the FBI or some other government agency would have cleared the place out after the first 20 or so deaths. There was also the whole MC can see the ghosts of the girls possessing people but chooses not to tell anyone? Like, I get it. You dont want people to label you a freak or think you're crazy but come the fuck on. You live in a tourist trap where people flock to watch local teenage males wash up on shore and you really think the authorities arent going to take you up on the help? It wasn't an awful book by any means. It was well written and extremely descriptive. Just had major beef with some of the details. Anyways, I wont say much more so I don't spoil the whole book.

An Enchantment of Ravens by Maragret Rogerson

Finally, I get to talk about one of my favorite reads of the month. I love anything to do with the Fae in my YAfiction and this was literally everything I wanted in a Fae novel. It takes place in a town called Whimsy, a humanish town in the world of Faerie. The fae cannot do any Craft, or what we would consider craftsmanship. Art and humans who can do it well are very precious in this world because the Fae can't ever do it themselves. We follow the adventures of a girl who has been commisioned to paint the portrait of the Autumn King and the chaos that ensues. Let me just start by saying this is one of those insta-love situations where I feel like it's genuinely ok. I might be making excuses because I loved the title so much but whatever. It's explained and I accept it. Also, I realize that Gadfly had a lovely description but my brain willl not let me picture him as anything but Mr.Waternoose from Monsters Inc.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

This book started out so good and went downhill very quickly. It follows the story of these two magicians who were fated by their Master's to one day fight to the death. There were so many things I loved about this book only for the last 100 pages to just take a firey dump on my face. I loved the setting and the majority of the characters. The supporting characters were so deep and interesting that I almost cared more about them than I did Ceilia and Marko (Im proabably wrong and I dont feel like googling but I think that was his name) . I don't know. I don't want to complain about anymore meh books.

Went into this book expecting to hate it. I usually don't like contemporary love stories but this had major City of Ember meets The Giver vibes and it just appealed to that 14 year old girl in me again. That seems to happen with a lot of dystopian utopia stories. Anyways, story is about a girl who lives in this town where when you hit a certain age you are brought to a place and told who the government has chosen for you to marry. She is matched with her life long best friend and all is well. Except that her little Get To Know Your New Husband microship thing showed her two guys instead of just one. And lots of bullshit ensues. I honestly think I rated this so high because I enjoy the world and not so much whats actually happening to the kids. Like, I loved the idea that art is harmful so the government chose 100 acceptable pieces and thats all these people know. I loved the brutality of the government in general. I can't say much more without spoiling some of the twists but geez did it have me hooked. I'm going to be started the second one soonish, though my TBR for June has gotten intense so we will see.

Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh

Got sucked into this book by the cover and honestly that was the best part of this book. Its about this world where necromancy is pretty highly regarded and used to resurrect the royals after they die. The only downside is that if a living person ever lays eyes on the resurrected person's skin then they turn into these horrible monsters. Maybe it's just me but like that absolutely does not seem worth the risk. Plus, in order to bring the person back, these reapers have to go into the death world and bring the spirit back. And it's HELLA DANGEROUS. So like, WHY? Anyways, there is this stupid underlying love story that I absolutely wasn't invested in. This just all around was not a good book.

Monster High by Lisi Harrison

Little known fact~ I'm obsessed with Monster High and Ever After High. So yeah, I realize this wasn't targeted to me as an adult but even going into it with an open mind I was disappointed. Granted I didn't read the description of the book prior. I just saw this franchise I love and grabbed it. First, if you are a fan of the mini series and the movies do not read this. It doesnt follow the cinematic canon and I think that was my biggest problem with it. Frankie's character was all wrong and I hated the whole"Normy" cast. Was really excited for these but I definitely won't be continuing the series. I don't even want to torture myself with seeing how they manage to ruin my sweet baby Draculara.

I can't say enough good things about this series. This is the second book in the trilogy and it was a fanatstic bridge book. It had me engrossed through the entire audiobook. Morpheus is still everything. If you loved Splintered I would highly reccomend continuing.

Have had this on my TBR for a while because of how many Booktubers have hyped the series. Buy, was I disappointed. I was soooooooooo bored. Maybe it's because I don't really enjoy this type of fantasy or maybe it was just the slower paced story but I just slugged through this book. Both of the main female characters were bland to me and I didn't care about their friendship. The world was cool but not enough to keep me invested. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Picked this up because of how much I loved The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein and it didn't meet my expectations. It follows this girl who works for a paranormal gorvenment group. She has a special ability that makes her really useful to them so they are trying to groom her basically. They capture this changeling and she befriends him and there is an overarching plot that I just didn't get invested in. The friendship between the two main characters was pretty much the only thing that I enjoyed in this title. The mother figure was insufferable and I just didn't really understand the whole org that they worked for in general. Not an awful book but not fantastic.

Solid 3/5 stars.

The Siren by Kiera Cass

Going to preface this by saying I might be biased. I love Kiera Cass and have enjoyed almost everything she has written. That said, this wasn't nearly as good as The Selection series but it was a pretty good stand alone novel. It about a girl who becomes a siren on her deathbed and spends the next 100 years serving the sea by luring people to their deaths. After doing this for 70 years, she falls in love and pretty much ruins everything. Loved the characters, especially the male lead. The insta love was a little pet peeve of mine but the love interest was so sweet and genuine that I was willing to overlook it. Pretty good read if you dig supernatural romance.

June holds the Ghibli-a-thon but also lots of holidays for my family so we will see how much I actually get read. So far my tentative TBR is 5 books but we will see where the days take me.

- He’s always had a strange obsession with arthropods. He had started school for entomology before he became a criminal and things started to go south.

- He can play a mean bass guitar

- He’s a total ‘live-in-the-basement’ college student type. When he isn’t working, he’s eating ramen noodles and playing video games

- Drury loves older classic rock bands; Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, black sabbath, you get the idea

- His ringtone for Garfield was Fireflies by Owl City until he threatened to burn his apartment down. It now alternates between equally cliche light em up by Fall Out Boy and Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana

- Drury can’t cook for shit. Can’t even make toast. Relies exclusively on the Denny’s down the street

- Drury got really good at burn management and treating minor injuries seeing as he can’t physically force Gar to the hospital and he isn’t very careful when working. Drury tends to end up with some decent burns as well

- He has a brilliant mind, but to put it simply, he’s just dumb sometimes. He completely lacks common sense and tries too hard. Combined with impulsive zero common sense Garfield Lynns they’re a dysfunctional but brilliant minded team. If he wasn’t so bad at being bad, Gotham wouldn’t stand a chance. Its similar to how if Lynns would just use his brain sometimes and be safer, he could melt Gotham to the ground

- He wears two dog tags; one with his name and one with Garfields. In the even either of them got into some trouble (especially with fire) their bodies would need a way to be identified. They decided to go with Dog Tags

- Drury Walker isn’t inherently evil per say. His whole gimmick started as trying to be a batman but for villains, so he isn’t really a fan of physically murdering someone. Collaterally, sure he’s killed and will continue to kill, but he isn’t as cruel or merciless as his fellow rogues. He’s in it for the attention and because there’s no going back now. He can’t make a difference without breaking laws, so he doesn’t bother trying anymore.

- He isn’t big on pets, but occasionally keeps bugs. He isn’t great at taking care of anything except for Garfield who’s enough work

- He has a very strict no children policy similar to some of the other rogues. No killing, no hurting; kids are off limits. He butts heads constantly with Garfield about it seeing as he has zero regard or care for life regardless of who or age.

- He can’t drive for shit either. Garfield wont let him after he totaled his dodge charger

- He has a small ordinary corn snake in a tank on his dresser (its name varys. Sometimes it’s Garfield, sometimes it’s dumbass. Depends on his mood and if Gar is pissing him off.

- He also had a pet tarantula. He lost it and not he’s always afraid he’ll find it in his apartment one day

- He has a shit ton of lamps all over his apartment simply because Garfield keeps buying them to piss him off and he can’t bring himself to throw it away

- He leaves little dishes with sugar water and fruit on his porch for bugs/moths. Every few nights he sets up a small u.v light to attract them to it

- He has a grudging respect for Batman, but a distinct dislike for the robins. He’s chill with Cass (despite her constantly reminding him about his tacky outfit) but she’s on thin ice. She’d rather comment on his fashion choices then arrest him so he doesnt really care. They met up and had waffles at dennys at four am once

- He hates Arkham Asylum with everything in him. He hates being there, hates being locked up. He doesn’t mind jail (blackgate) but with his partnership with criminally insane Garfield usually ends him in Arkham with him. That and he dresses up like a moth every night. That would do it too.

- Watches a disgusting amount of Friends and B99 (with Garfield oftentimes)

- Spends 70 percent of his time playing bootleg COD and Battlefield

- He isn’t a huge fan of most of the other rogues. He became something of a big brother to Lonnie, but he mostly sticks to the lower class of rogues and Garfield

- Despite her whole dog theme and her several dogs, ironically she gets along pretty well with Selina

- She has four dogs; Sig her Black Belgian Malinois that was her partner in Afghanistan, Smith and Wesson her two pit bulls she rescued, and a Dobie named glock that she gets later on that she rescued

- She unironically names her guns

- She has a tumblr blog. She constantly competes for followers with Tim and Drury; so far Tim is in the lead with his aesthetic blog

- She has a necklace with all of the dog tags of her platoon that died in the ambush that got her and the rest of them caught

- Sig has her dog tags around his collar

How is cas different from ur other girlfriends

akcjwjxia i had to wait like SIX HOURS to answer this bc of a goddamn test i had bUT OH BOY ANON AM I GONNA LOVE DOING IT alfjadjsk i just love talking about my gf i love her so much i wanna gush about her 25/8

the short answer would be basically in every way bUt imma do it part by part.

okay so, in a simplified version i’ve had relationships with people whose personalities worked well with me but who were shitty girlfriends or a good girlfriend who just didnt really fit with my personality. i’ve actually given that so much thought even before i met cass, but the point is that i met her and she was just perfect for me in both ways (technically its more complicated bc theres a bunch of logic into this that im not explaining bc my mind is weird and it would be Way too long but anyways). but ok let get into How she fits me perfectly.

first of all literally no one ever in my entire life has made me laugh as easily and genuinely as she does. im not even exaggerating, like laughing was never really A Thing for me to look for in girls bc it just never happened???? like i had fun conversations and stuff but there was never anyone that made me go “holy shit i have never laughed this much with anyone else” and we have So many inside jokes, which is a thing that i almost never have????? and i always used to wish i did bc everyone would talk about it and i’d feel like i just wasnt funny and That was the problem. and also this is really important bc its one of the things that made me realize that i liked (and eventually, came to love) her. bUT its not the only one so theres also like all these things that we like and we can talk about for HOURS like i remember when i watched infinity war and the first thing i did when i got home was call her and we talked about it for like 2 hours idek but it was great. the point is, we have a bunch of shared interests (which isnt like 100% necessary but its still really nice), wHICH LEADS ME TO: her music taste is amazing and i love that so much bc i love music With My Entire Soul and its the best thing in the fucking world (after cass & my friends and tied with the ocean) but yeah thats great too. AND i think more importantly than the last 2 things is that she is literally so fucking easy to talk to. like ever since the beginning we didnt really have that awkward phase where we run out of things to talk about and the conversation keeps dying like we never had that it just flowed so well and that was such a good feeling. another thing is also how comfortable i feel talking to her.

like i have never felt this way with any of my girlfriends bc i was always scared that i was gonna be annoying or say something Wrong and they’d start to realize i sucked and then break up with me, but shes just so kind and idk she just has this way about her that makes me feel at home and its always been there like i dont believe in love at first sight or anything like that but i swear to god the day after i met her i already felt like i could tell her anything and that was such a comforting thing and i needed that so badly at the time. i dont feel like i was able to describe this aspect very well tbh like im not doing it justice. like, she makes me feel like im not annoying at all, and like i could just randomly start ranting about anything and she would be like super invested in it, and just literally so comfortable in every sense of the word. she is my home, no ifs ands or buts, i just feel it every single time that we talk or that i simply think about her, and i have never felt this so clearly with anyone. and i think this comfort i feel with her is kinda connected with how she has always made me felt so appreciated, in a way that no one has ever done. like, i had like 2 tags about my wants and needs in a relationship, there was “my dream girl” to remind me that i shouldnt settle for anyone after i got out of a rlly bad relationship, and there was “things i wish someone would tell me” after my “first” relationship (i dont really count it bc Officially™ we only dated for a week) because my gf at the time would almost never be affectionate with me and it made me really insecure so i started that tag as a way to vent kinda. anyways my point is that i made those tags bc i would always feel super anxious in my relationships bc i never really felt loved or even wanted (aka the good personalities awful gfs relationships) i just felt like a burden and it was such a big thing for me.

okay now i’ll say that there Kinda was an exception to this before cass, because it would be unfair to say that that relationship was detrimental to my mental health, but it was still different. like, that ex did make me feel wanted most times, but not only did i still have A Lot of insecurities about the whole thing bc of some things she would say and do or not say and not do and i’d get like super uncomfortable or just sad really but also bc whenever the conversation would start to die out i was Absolutely Certain that she was gonna break up with me. it was pretty bad im not even joking. and like ofc my anxiety isnt her fault OR responsibility and like sure i still get anxious about cass sometimes but its not like that its basically just when she doesnt answer for a long time i think that something bad might have happened but even when my rude ass brain does try to tell me that she doesnt love me i KNOW that its not true, and that is a kind of peace that i have never ever had before. but anyways, so that was the good gf whose personality didnt fit mine and its weird now bc that is so obvious but i really didnt wanna believe it at the time even though i knew it wasnt gonna work out, but now its just really weird ngl (but i wont get into the why).

and now cass. wow okay let me tell you about cass. she is perfection. she is literally everything i have ever wanted AND things i didnt even know i wanted. she is everything no one else ever was and i just remembered that when we started dating in may i said that exact same sentence to abby. its just so true, she really is everything that no one else could be. because theyre not her. i’ve said this a lot of times but i really dont see how i could ever love anyone else after loving her, it just doesnt make sense to me because she really is like,, as good as it gets. there is no one better than her for me. we’re literally meant to be i s2g like when we broke up for a while i would tell everyone i wasnt really trying to move on at all bc i just hoped she would come back to me and i couldnt miss that chance. i knew she was my soulmate, although at some points i lost almost all hope (but never all) and i started thinking that maybe she was the love of my life but i wasnt the love of hers. and thats bc she really is everything ive ever dreamed of like she has all these little things that she does or say that sometimes wouldnt even mean anything to other people but to me they are So important bc theyre things ive dreamed about while my ex girlfriends ignored me akcjsjxn like, i was talking about how comfortable she feels to me and a big part of that comes from little things like the fact that even when we were just friends she would spam me when i was gone for a long time and that not only made me feel missed and appreciated but also it meant i could do that to her and it wouldnt be annoying bc she felt the same!! like, she missed me too! and me knowing that she actually Wanted to talk to me and the fact that she actually showed me she cared was super great when we started dating bc it made me feel like if i was feeling sad or insecure, i could literally just ask her to be a little more affectionate and it wouldnt feel fake bc i actually knew she cared. and you have No idea how much that meant to me bc i literally didnt know it was possible for me to feel that way. like honestly i thought it was an innate aspect of who i am that like if i asked for affection it would be meaningless? bc i’d be lowkey forcing the person to say something? but with her it felt different bc we had enough intimacy for me to feel comfortable enough to do that.

HOWEVER i never actually Had to do that bc i got insecure exactly once (1) on the first night we started dating back in may bc i didnt know how much she liked me and i was like in love with her so i thought she would think i was too much and then i told her i was sad and that i was gonna sleep and the next day when i woke up she said something along the lines of “how are you babe bc i remember you said you were sad last night and i couldnt stop thinking about it bc i want you to feel good all the time” and thats something so small but wow it just meant so much to me bc i would cry and beg any fucking force in the universe to make my last ex do Anything At All to try to make me Not Sad and it would be awful and i would feel so so unloved and then cass just said that and something clicked in me and i never doubted her feelings to an actual Meaningful extent while we’ve been together anymore (like ofc i get insecure sometimes and especially when we broke up, but while we have been dating ive never gotten like actually Sad™ specifically bc i wasnt sure she liked me) but it gets even better because some of the things she does are so so special that i never even imagined them like shes literally unreal, i literally never thought someone like her existed and its just so wild to me that i get to be with her.

and i know im saying a bunch of cliches but i mean it all so much like i remember when i was dating one of my exes i was learning her first language but she didnt try to learn mine and i really wished she would bc i just always loved the idea that someone would do that for me?? (and she was like the good gf so yknow,, just how that relationship literally did Not even compare to cass) and guess what yes cass is learning portuguese and its the cutest thing ever btw bUt the point is she does all the little things ive ever wanted in a partner (i literally have a post with a list of things i appreciate in a partner and she does all of them!! well, the ones that arent like irl or smth) also i literally have a draft in this blog that is a list of cute things cass has done/said that means a lot to me personally but i didnt post it yet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and like theres just so so many things that i havent talked about, like how im not even sure if i was ever in love with anyone of them anymore because what i feel for cass is just so different and so much more, or like how cass actually makes me want to try to get better, which ive never actually wanted before bc it always seemed to scary, like she literally makes me wanna be not only alive but also happy bc she makes me feel like i deserve it. she has been such a good influence on me and my mental health and thats so important and its the first time someone has been this good for me.

miss congeniality stephcass au

so first of all not fbi bc we like to have some legitimacy and homeage to gotham thanks

so there absolutely is a plot to blow up someone in the miss america pageant which, for some reason is in gotham this year

steph is officially Off Duty because her and damian may have totally accidentally gone against bruce’s strict “do not go on patrol on this evening” and they did and so he’s grounded them

(((there absolutely was a screeching match between steph and bruce bcs hes not her dad and cant ground her and he is really just Tired Old Man so instead lets her look over some old computer files just to stop her from like, stealing the batmobile out of Spite)))

but the pageant

bruce decides he’s going to let cass look into it because she’s “the best suited for the job”

cass is really just happy to finally be allowed to take point on something

its not until jason points out to them that there’s no way in hell they’re ever gonna catch anyone if a bat turns up making accusations, not to mention the hysteria a bomb threat could start off

so cass thinks

and thinks

and thats how she ends up outside steph’s window at 2am one morning with her favourite waffles and steph is really 100% suspicious, totally, but also they smell good and cass is voluntarily like, sitting on her bed so she invites her in

and then laughs in her face when cass tells her about her plan to infiltrate the pageant

“cass those girls would drive you crazy, no way would you even make it to the semi’s”

so thats how steph finds herself in one of the fanciest shops she’s ever seen in a city over from gotham, with tim flaunting bruce’s credit card all over the place and buying her a make up palette that costs more than half her week’s wages and what the fuck

“oh? did i forget to mention you’d be the one in the pageant?” cass asks. steph has never hated her MORE and even considers taking this to bruce but also... it could be a chance at redemption and also making herself look good for cass so.

so she signs up. and she hates the songs and expects to hate all the girls but theyre actually really sweet, but steph totally grew up on the wrong side of gotham for this and it’s showing and despite all the faith cass has put in her she feels exposed and out of her depth and tim is STRESSING because “she has no talent”

which. ouch

but also steph is inventive and can do things other than messing up, thanks tim, so that’s why she’s carting out a table with crystal wine glasses on it and its so odd and the crowd are more shocked than impressed but it works

jason turns up about half way in and tells them, hey guys, there’s some stuff going On in the underworld and like. i think i’ve found your guy

also bruce doesn’t think we’re getting anywhere with this and the date for the bomb is getting closer

so bruce pulls cass off and tells her he needs all hands on deck to help with whatever jason tipped them off about (and jason is apologetic because he’s also extremely pissed that bruce has stuck his nose in his business again)

and steph knows this is her chance more than ever to get back into costume and break some noses but something tells her she’s right about this and if anything happened to these girls she could never forgive herself because this is what she became spoiler for in the first place

so bruce cuts her off and cass is just all over the place because she’s realised in all the craziness of this that she has a major crush on steph, but jason’s intel is usually always genuine and bruce is right in saying that they haven’t got any solid leads on the pageant bomb so she leaves

as in leaves steph too

but steph stays and continues and a gossip with the girls gives her a new lead, but no one is willing to listen so instead she calls tim and guilt trips him/calls on a favour he probably very likely owes her to come check it out because cass is currently awol and she doesnt really want to sink to begging bruce to listen to her for like the second time that month

so tim comes, flicks off a message to damian who tells dick who tells bruce who mentions it to jason who tells cass

who needs to get back to steph becase they were a team and also if anything happens to her she at least wants to tell her she likes her first

in the space of this the final pageant has started, steph’s glasses are ruined and “remember that other favour you totally owe me” “no” “ill tell you where damian is hiding your orthopaedic pillow” “fine. what”

steph totally kicks tim’s butt on stage, as cass and jason arrive because jason found out from one of his lower level drug busts that one of the guys on the pageant organisational team has some shady ties with the riddler who apparently broke out of arkham but no one thought to tell batman because he seemed busy. or something.

the problem is they still dont have a bomb location, steph is in the top 5 and currently trying to do her hair and get changed and -holy fuck the crown is missing tim its the crown you need to tell cass its the crown-

it is the crown. cass materialises her batgirl suit from somewhere and then red hood arrives in time to punch some bad guys and steph also gets to throw someone other than tim over her shoulder so she calls it a win

outside they get hounded by the press. everyone seems more interested that miss gotham is friendly enough with tim drake rather than the fact that she just saved the city??? hello???

cass is there later. the costume is gone and jason is giving tim shit that he told him steph was a better fighter than he gave her credit for.

steph is kinda looking at cass with this weird look on her face and cass is looking at steph with a weird look on her face, and steph starts teasing her like she did the other night in the pool, and then cass is cupping her face and just planting a kiss on her.

steph’s pretty sure she’s like, died or something

especially when bruce steps out of the car that’s pulled up behind them, ‘hm hmm’ing and motioning for the two of them and tim to get in the car so they can go home

jason’s disappeared somewhere himself, but steph reckons she’ll hear from him soon when she asks him to send the video to her too

steph gets herself grounded just short of one month later when, because of reasons she cant disclose (she was kissing cass on a rooftop instead of listening) she messes up bruce’s plan of action

she doesnt mind though; cass keeps her company on those nights anyways
