Kentin girlies, all things considered, him being an Alternate Life route was the best possible outcome for us in this whole mess of a game.

He didn't appear in Campus Life and in hindsight it's great because then he didn't suffer the same character slaughter and regression like the others did. He didn't have an OOC moment where he agreed to a threesome with his best friend despite showing jealousy during his entire route. He didn't neglect Candy for a "surprise" that took up his entire time from her and caused her to break up with him. He matured SO much and in a way that made most, if not all, of his flaws toned down and enhanced his qualities (honestly I don't even know if he showed any flaws at all). His grown up sprite is gorgeous. He stayed true to himself and leads a lifestyle that makes him happy rather than spiraling down a catastrophic path for the sake of drama (since AL is only 5 episodes). AND the best part is you don't even get the "opportunity" to cheat on him! So no way for players to pick him purposefully just to get with eric (like most did with Hyun).

Would I have loved to have as much illustrations and interactions and events with him as the CL crushes? Of course, but seeing the way CL and LL were handled and all the terrible scenarios that came with them, I'm thinking maybe Kentin not appearing in the main sequels was a blessing in disguise.

not to beat a dead horse but something I feel like gets ignored a lot in “Why doesn’t Batman kill the Joker?” arguments is the fact that Batman and Joker don’t live in the real world, they live in the DC Universe, where multiple afterlives canonically exist and coming back from the dead is extremely common.  Killing Joker isn’t permanently stopping him from hurting anyone else, it’s sending him off to guest star in Hellblazer or team up with Etrigan unsupervised or make a deal with Necron and now he’s alive again but he has superpowers, or he’s the new ruler of Hell, or he’s a malevolent ghost and now he’s Deadman’s problem.  At least if Batman sends him to Arkham he’ll get an alert when the guy breaks out and he can make reasonable assumptions about things like “how far could he have gotten?” or “What resources does he have?”  Batman sends the guy to Hell and he could be doing literally anything, no timeline on when he’ll turn up again, no way to keep tabs on him short of calling in favors from the magic crowd.  If Joker escapes and comes back he stays a basically human guy with a knack for chemistry and an immunity to his own concoctions.  If he dies and comes back his abilities could be anything from “ghost that appears in the corner of Bruce’s vision to gradually drive him mad” to “literally exactly the same” to “The new Spectre, for some reason”.  There is no way to know.  The only certainty is that at some point he will come back and hurt more people, and there’s no way Batman doesn’t know that.  It’s not mercy or naivety to keep the extremely dangerous mass murderer somewhere you can keep an eye on him instead of booting him into the unknown and hoping for the best.  This is something that needs to be taken into account.

in the good supernatural that lives in my head amara is released from wherever chuck locked her away and she and dean aren't forced against their wills to be attracted to one another romantically. that said, they are still bonded together by the fact that they have that prisoner/savior relationship and shared the mark of cain. instead she looks at chuck who she realizes never loved her and then to dean, who loves his brother to a frankly concerning degree, and says "that's what i want." and so she replaces chuck with dean as her brother <3 this goes absolutely terribly

Everyone's treating Lisanna like glass now that she's back. She can do basically nothing for herself. She does one little stumble and now Elfman just HAS to carry her everywhere because what if she was to fall??? Get hurt??? He's also got a pillow for her to sit on because this new guild's seats just aren't comfortable and Warren better give up his seat for Lisanna or we're gonna have a bit of a problem.

The only one's I could see treating her like normal is Natsu, because he's just Like That to everyone, Lucy, and Wendy, who didn't know Lisanna before she "died"

Eventually I imagine she gets tired of all this babying; being chaperoned everywhere she goes, having every door and jar opened for her, having all her food temperature tested to make sure it's not too hot or too cold, being told to "Stay back it's not safe" when she tags on jobs with Elfman, hearing "Knock it off you could have hurt Lisanna!" when her guild mates get into fights. She's exhausted, she's irritated, she just needs some space.

So she grabs a job on the board, probably grabs Lucy and Wendy just to vent to some one, and sets off to finally do something for herself for once sense getting back home.

I can hear the exhausted complaints as they walk to her job, how sweet they're all trying to be but they're treating her like a BABY! Yeah she's the "little" sister but that doesn't mean she can't DRESS HERSELF, MIRA!! Lucy and Wendy in the background giving that look of God Damn yeah that sucks girl.

Cut back to the guild Elfman and Mira are freaking out, in their own separate ways, because where a monster hunting job use to be on the board is now a note from Lisanna telling them not to worry and that she's on it all her own!

They, and Natsu who's just upset Lucy would take a job without him, set off to follow the Girls and get them back before they can get hurt.

Only you know. They handled it just fine. They get there just as the girls are packing up to head back, reward in tow, monster's defeated. Lucy and Wendy even admit to not having to do too much, Lisanna's amazing! Natsu complains about traveling all this way and not getting to punch a single monster, then smiles and high fives Lisanna because he was "pretty much expecting that"

Elfman and Mira get a bit of a wake up; Lisanna's not helpless, she never was, she's a wizard same as them and deserves to be treated as such.

We get a family hug, happy ending, credits roll.

And then after the credits we see Mira still trying to spoon feed Lisanna and Elfman still bullying Warren out of his seat for her because some things never change they're still over protective of course.

anyway this scene is making me insane like this is literally what i’ve been talking about . i think she is so sick of being confined to her role and like having to be the “good one” or something and having people tell her what she should or shouldn’t do, or should or shouldn’t be okay with, and now with what happened in the desert she’s sorted out her priorities and they’re different from what everyone is telling her they should be and yes one of her priorities is her pro bono work but another one is pulling off these elaborate cons with jimmy and actually those two things are not that different to her, it’s a similar kind of challenge/risk/reward situation . and like she can be honest with herself about what she wants without having it compromise any other part of her life . and for both of them now i think a lot of their boundaries have been revealed to be lines drawn in the sand that are very easy to step over, over and over again . so anyway idk what i’m talking about but i get frustrated for her that other people are constantly trying to put her on a pedestal, because sure it’s nice to be admired but what about like her agency and her actual desires and personality and shit like that . anyway i think she should be allowed to be as fucked up and conniving as she wants. as a treat

cassidy surviving william's attempt on her life and swearing revenge as a very alive and very angry grade schooler sounds like an interesting plot point

flkdsjfl;jsdlkfj, it does! I'm just not 100% sure where she'd fit in. The AU's primarily Mike and Evan trying to sneak around Will while repairing their relationship under the most... awkward (understatement) of circumstances. Although....

Another idea I had involved Mike becoming obsessed with studying the paranormal and supernatural in order to learn how to help Evan as best he can. And given the time frame*, this got Mike labelled as a satanist by the people of Hurricane and made him even more of an outcast than he already was. Some even began gossiping that the Bite of '83 was him sacrificing his brother to the devil.

This ties back to Cassidy, I swear.

So, let's say Cassidy survives the attempt on her life and vows vengeance on Will. Not so easy for a teeny kid. And maybe she tries to tell her parents or someone that the man in the bunny costume tried to kill her, but Will is charming and charismatic and manages to convince people that the attempt on her life was simply the result of her overactive imagination. Poor Cassidy gets away with her life, but everyone assumes that she was either lying or getting worked up over nothing and trying to get poor Mr. Afton in trouble.

So she starts keeping an eye on the Aftons, and that's how weird, gloomy, secretive, supposed demon-worshipping Michael catches her eye. She notices that he skips school a lot, never socializes with anyone, and aside from checking the library for things that make suburban moms clutch their pearls, never really leaves his house. She also notices that he and his murdering dad aren't exactly close. It's a risk, but she decides it might be worth trying to figure out what his deal is in order to get the evidence she needs to prove that William is a murderer.
