Screechers reach has me thinking that that's a cycle. A child seeking strength and power being preyed upon by a sith who appears to be good. Page 1 of filling this sketchbook until i remember why I enjoy drawing

Today? A sketch page of wildly off model Bill Ciphers. Why? Because Bill has always been easy for me to draw and just like,,, goof around on. He's my sack of flower. He's in several of my PhD study notebooks. He's kind of the avatar of me losing my mind in academia. He's honestly just such a guy.

Why black light? I like it.

Gotta tell ya, after that first bill was down, the exhausted one, it got a lot easier. I actually started having fun with the gooey one. Some of these were like,,, "express your emotions" bills. That one? Just because I like drawing goo. And it reminded me of the way I used to fill my middle school notebook margins with tentacles and goo, because I'd learned how to draw things that were continuous and made logical sense when parts of it were "hidden". So who knows, page full of tentacles next?

Hey I’m sure you’re just a little ignorant about Asian history but using the term “rising sun” about a Korean boy band is hugely offensive to Korean people who view the rising sun flag as a sign of Japanese imperialism. I would suggest changing your name because it looks really bad (also li is a Chinese surname not a Korean one)

one: the title comes from a song, “house of the rising sun” that inspired the series. the song is also used in a particular episode of sons of anarchy, which is where i’m drawing the “lore” and ideas for the fic from as well. thank you for educating me about that and i will work on brainstorming another title.

i highly recommend the song! its a folk song originally by the band the animals but there have been some amazing covers done of it as well. the particular song i’m using is by the white buffalo, its a great song.

two: my url isnt the surname li. it’s the nickname “lino” for lee know / lee minho. i just combined the two because its cute.

three: not sure if it was intentional but the tone that comes across here in your message is rude. while you do not owe me anything when it comes to education or correcting ignorance, if you choose to do so i would appreciate a better approach or tone in the future.

does anyone have like an anti aesthetic. like something you look at and can recognize as a complete fashion/interior design/artistic movement and understand it but it makes you shudder seeing it. i am not talking like “its morally bad” “its poorly structured” like just sheerly devoid of joy for you actually invites a repulse response.

#also if it wasnt clear this isnt ‘its bad its lazy’ there is a level of like #completion consistancy i am thinking for with this #personally i really do not enjoy the like. vintage chic long red nails fur coats noir esque aesthetic HOWEVER 💥💥💥#i can recognize that it is put together it is Intentional #i feel like a lot of people are going to say minimalism on this so LET ME SAY 🫰☝️ i recognize that minimalism is Considered an aesthetic #but i *PERSONALLY* do not consider it an aesthetic i consider it the void of one #it is a lapse in aesthetic or personality in the same way a silence in a song is still technically a ‘beat’ but no music is played #however the importance of Space or Breath in design is more akin to a purposeful silence in music #because that silence matters in the same way rhythm and breath in design do #so i guess minimalism is more comparable to like. white noise. the sound of a fan #very little effort and there is a comfort in it i suppose but its not. A Design. okay #TO ME 🤫#if minimalism has one hater its me if minimalism has no haters im dead
