The core difference between Zane and Pixal, I think, is how theyd react to being stuck in the Administration. Zane was frustrated by their inefficiencies, true, but he was also absolutely in his element - he figured out their rules and processes fairly quickly, became very proud of himself for increasing production by 7%, and aside from all the abduction and dehumanization he was lowkey kinda thriving.

Bur if you put Pixal in the Administration? Sure she used to be a secretary at Borg Industries, but she would start destroying things within the hour. The inefficiencies cause her deep and profound spiritual pain. Their records are a mess, and their digital records are even worse. Pixal spends the entire time on the verge of setting her cubicle on fire.

Hi guys! It's that time again. The demo has been updated from ~18k words to almost 29k now. It's a smaller update but gets us to about the halfway point with chapter one. The update frequency vote is still going but it's looking like I'm gonna be sticking with what I was doing - updating when it feels right - so this is probably going to be the last update for at least a month or two as I'll probably be working on a longer, bigger update after this since I want chapter one completely done for the next update so we can get onto chapter two.

A "Malicious" Gift

When Rishe had told him with no hesitation that they were fighting, it was a bit of a shock.  He could never predict that girl.  However, he couldn’t help but admire the resolve in her eyes.  So, he agreed and left her alone.

When a knock resounded through his office, he knew it was her, but he didn’t look up from his work as Oliver opened the door and went through, closing it behind him.  Arnold looked up, staring at the door for only a moment before getting back to work.  For a moment he had thought that Rishe might come in, but no.  It was fine though, he had already resigned himself to the fact that she would come to resent him eventually.  After a few minutes Oliver came back into the room with a small basket and a far too amused grin on his face.  But Arnold ignored him and kept working.

“My Lord,” Oliver cheered, silent laughter coloring his tone, “it seems Lady Rishe has come bearing a rather malicious gift.”  Oliver carefully set the basket atop the desk before he stepped away, continuing to stare at him.  With a short sigh he looked up then glanced at the basket where a simple sandwich lay that contained a few pieces of meat, tomatoes, and lettuce.  “I am inclined to believe that the sandwich had not been tampered with despite the message, but I have not tested to be sure.”

The top bread piece was laid off to the side where he indeed noticed a small message written with some white sauce, “Your Highness, you idiot!”  Arnold stared at the message for a minute, unable to stop the grin forming on his face.

“Pfft.”  Arnold’s shoulders shook in silent mirth, eyes gleaming with intrigue.  A malicious gift indeed.

“I do hope that you won’t let Lady Rishe’s hard work go to waste, My Lord,” Oliver said with a large grin of his own, finding joy in the amusement of his master.  

“It seems a shame to ruin her art though,” he remarked casually, grin still plastered across his face.  Shaking his head, Arnold carefully laid the last piece of bread atop the sandwich, pressing the message against the lettuce as carefully as possible as to not smear it.  The only thought in his mind was simply how incredible his wife truly is.

thinking about luigi not being able to grip things tightly for a while after the movie because his hands feel tight and painful from burns 😭

Allow me to make this even more angsty.

We know that Luigi is somewhat anxiety-prone and that this anxiety/overthinking can manifest in the exhibited clumsiness which he is somewhat notorious for. This includes dropping objects. And Mario may be thinking that his brother is more accident-prone than usual after their whole misadventure with Bowser and the Mushroom Kingdom, but also figures that knowing his brother, he's probably still mentally recuperating. After all, Mario still needs to come to terms with everything himself. He doubts his brother is any further along in the process, especially considering how he found him hanging in a cage over a lake of lava. (And Luigi has been suspiciously vague about the details as to how he got in that position in the first place).

And this is the perfect cover for Luigi to, again, maybe not mention that his hands still feel...not-so-great. After all, his brother was the big hero of the day, All he managed to do was get captured, held prisoner, and get incredibly lucky with a manhole cover one time. No need to make a fuss when Mario spent 48 hours getting the collective crap beaten out of him by talking apes and malevolent turtles. He'll deal.

Let's just say Luigi is about to get an EARFUL from his brother

I went to see the fnaf movie in theatres finally. (about my fourth rewatch) so I was just picking up little background details.

They really didn't need to go that hard for this movie, but they did that. They did that for us.

And like, I really appreciate the character writing the more I watch the movie.

Like the detail how Abby would lock herself in her room and not eat at the beginning of the film, but later, when Mike starts taking her to work and being more present in her life, she's eating at the table with him, even asking for seconds.

It's not even clear how long ago her mom died and dad left, this could have happened very recently. I know Abby gives "autism vibes" but she also gives vibes of a child who is suffering from depression. Either way, love her.

Vanessa wearing her full cop attire at the start of the movie, but in the climax, dressed in a yellow sweatshirt to show her association with Afton.

A box that looks suspiciously like the Fnaf4 Box sits behind "Steve's" office.

(it's great that there's dumb easter eggs like this that they put in there for the fans to find)

Also, I got a poster from the theatre, which was nice. Gotta find room for it, but will probably buy a frame for it.

Something I like about the gestures you learn in lies of P instead of being a way to communicate like in dark souls, Elden ring etc… it is P learning expressions and emotions as you progress through the game. And he tends to learn them from imitating those around him. Like the fear gesture from Venigni, etc

He sees you as a very close companion he can trust, especially after that heartfelt speech you gave him towards the end, it's what made him give in to his impulses to keep you just a little longer.

No developing feelings yet, though you definitely triggered something unfamiliar in him after that ending.

The scene with Stede and his family over dinner hit different, because when his wife and the children were talking about the favourite horse, his daughter answers "he's fast..." She literally likes the horse because of the things it can do and its performance, while Stede chose Arthur because of his kind eyes. Nothing else. And he is terribly shunned for it, ignored by his own family who coldly proceed to talk about pigs.

Stede is always looking beyond performance, beyond masks, that's why Ed confides in him so easily, lets him see his vulnerability and true emotions. And if there's one thing I know it's how it feels to be seen, really, truly seen by someone for who you are, not the mask you are forced to wear. That's what lures Edward in.

Izzy never could see that (at least as far as season 1 goes). He never looked past the mask of Blackbeard, because I really think he has a serious kink about him. He is so fucking happy when Blackbeard returns to his abusive, sadistic mask, the Kraken. Ed couldn't be more heartbroken about having to put the mask back on, and that's exactly the same thing that happens to Stede when he comes back home. He looks at the mask he is supposed to wear (father and husband who turns a blind eye to his wife's affair), says fuck this I'm going out with a bang and leaves it all again.

So, basically at the end of S1, both Stede and Ed are at the same place they were in the beginning, except everything is different now.

For any newcomers to the silent hill series, here’s a pro tip. When playing SH3 feel free to turn off the game immediately when Heather gets home! No need to worry about anything, that’s the end of the game! She got home safe and sound to her dad! Nothing bad happens after that! Forget about Claudia, Vincent, and Douglas! They aren’t important. She’s home. The game definitely wasn’t shorter than the other games. The credits roll right after that just trust me on it :)
