I reached my goal of squatting my body weight and a half today! 4 sets of 3 reps @ 185lbs!
I need to work on being consistent with my depth but I鈥檓 so happy with how it went considering this was the first time I鈥檝e ever tried to squat that weight.
I don鈥檛 plan on increasing the weight for a bit and I鈥檓 not sure when or even _if_ I should look into a lifting belt when I do? Any advice on that would be appreciated.
Lifting is going really well right now but running has taken a back seat. I need to change that because my next half is in September and I鈥檇 like to PR it. I鈥檓 not fast by any means; I鈥檓 aiming for a 2:30 time but that sounds so daunting. It鈥檒l be my fourth half marathon and Rory鈥檚 second and the first one we鈥檝e done together so I鈥檓 really excited for it even though I don鈥檛 love running.
