I’ve been busy,
Happy hallows eve! Tomorrow is November, officially winter: the cold stings as I leave my house in the morning at 6am. It’s getting too cold for stockings soon, but I am not ready to give up my skirt-based fashion. It’s getting darker too: I wake up before the sun and goes to bed long after she has. Streetlights shine in the dark: there’s something romantic about that too I suppose. November will be an even more hectic month for me, in 3 weeks I have due 4 assignments and lectures everyday from 8am - 4pm.
I am tired.
Until next time, Martie

My first time working Christmas
Honestly less exhausting than expected
Could just be the 5 hour energy mixing with the autism tho
Will see how I feel when I settle down

I don't wanna be forgotten, this fear is genuinely eating me up from inside, I see my friends socializing and posting all these fun filled pics on social media and I get this deeeep FOMO iykwim 😭😭 altho ik pretty popular IRL, I feel this pressure to be popular on social media too and 😭 ik this is an irrational fear but i just- wanna matter uk
Tumblr media
Dear Friend
First of all, I just want to say that I understand what it feels like. This fear that you have of being forgotten is just as valid as any other fear.
In this fast paced world where social media serves as a medium for connection, we often tend to get swayed by its glamourous side- that is, a feed full of fun filled pictures and adventures especially curated for the world to see.
You say that you don't want to be forgotten and want to be popular on social media, just as you are in real life. But do you know the underlying thought behind this fear?
“I just want to matter.”
I think this statement summarises what most of us feel. That we just want to matter. Maybe in the world, maybe in someone's life. Mattering means feeling valued and adding value.
It often feels like our life is insignificant, that the work we do is insignificant, that our existence is insignificant. But it's not.
We will always matter to the people who love us. We can even matter to strangers, like on Tumblr.
I think simply existing is a beautiful thing. Our existence on this planet adds value to the lives of so many people, even when we feel that we are alone. Our existence matters to our ancestors, and to all the generations who worked so hard to continue their bloodline. They would be looking at you right now and smiling, because you are their precious child.
Friend, you matter to me. The world is waiting to hear your voice- be it offline or online. I know you have this fear of missing out. But you're not missing out. Your life is a journey that you are meant to enjoy and it doesn't matter if it's not as curated as your friends on social media.
What matters is that you are alive and breathing, despite the hardship, despite the struggles. What matters is that you are a beautiful creation of the Universe.
Friend, you will always matter. Don't ever forget that.

Telling Stories: she wore daisies
By Crystal Charlotte Lynch
I want to tell you something.
The story of a girl with daisies in her hair.
She was funny and brilliant.
Bright full of love and light.
She was light in life.
Giving her all to everyone.
She rarely got mad or even sad.
You didn’t know what she held up inside.
She always sported a smile and spoke with her heart.
There was grace in her presence and she held wisdom in her soul.
Her eyes full of wonder and mysteries.
You wouldn’t know it looking at her but her heart carried sorrow and misery.
On the inside she was wilting and withering away.
You wouldn’t believe that her lovely smile was just an empty mask.
This was the story of a young girl.
She wore daisies in her hair.

January 24, 2024
Just a normal day today, but I find this photo very special.
I’m not really a book worm, but I’m trying. Since I want to make it my new hobby this year. The goal to finish at least 5 books this year 🤣😮‍💨
And here we are, just us two, sitting on our sofa in our living room, sipping warm cup of green tea 🍵, while reading books 📖 together and enjoying the comfortable silence between us.👩‍❤️‍👨
I think I like this little life 🤍

Nov. 14th
A well-needed cozy day at home.
Coffee, cats, cafe jazz and Harry Potter. What could be better to wind down with? Today I turned in my 1000words long assignment on nordic language and sociolinguistics. Then I have another assignment ’til Sunday in Norse language and exam in linguistics on Nov. 29th.
I am so excited for December to come, when I can wind down a little with my last two finals and be overjoyed with winter, jule and cozy-reads!
How are you all surviving November??

How to Create a Vision Board and Achieve your Goals✨
Tumblr media
Everyone has dreams and goals, but while trying to achieve them, it’s easy to get unmotivated, especially if you reach challenges and road blocks. Thankfully, there are many ways to stay motivated when chasing your dreams. One of these ways is by creating and using a vision board.
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is a board where you place your ‘visions’ or goals for the future. It’s a creative way to create a visual reminder of your dreams and desires. When it comes to creating a vision board, you can attach pictures, drawings or anything else that makes you feel good. By cutting out pictures of what you wish to achieve and sticking them on your board, you set a visual reminder to get you motivated to go after what you want.
When it comes to creating a vision board, you can make it however you want. Some people prefer to create large vision boards to hang on their walls while others prefer smaller ones that they can carry around with them throughout their day. You can even create one online if you’d rather keep it on you digitally.
Whatever you decide to do, it’s often helpful to place your vision board in a place where you can see it daily, as it’s meant to be used as a daily reminder.
How does it work?
A vision board works by bringing your attention and focus to your desires. By focusing on your goals, you feel more motivated to achieve them and manifest them into your life. By visiting your vision board, your mind begins to work in finding ways and opportunities to achieve these goals and desires.
Why You Should Create a Vision Board
Having a physical vision of your desires helps you to stay motivated in achieving your goals.
Creating a vision board helps you to create plans and focus on opportunities which may appear in your life.
Having a vision board helps you to organize all your goals and desires in one place.
Having a vision board gives you a tangible vision of your goals. It’s easy to feel as though your dreams are far away or imaginary when they’re only in your head. By creating a physical vision of what you want, you’re more likely to feel that they’re achievable.
How to Create a Vision Board
The great thing about vision boards is that you can create it in any way you want. Because it is a creative practice, there is no right or wrong way to go about doing it, but if you need a little bit of inspiration, here are a few ways you could go about creating your very own vision board.
Get a Board
To create a vision board, you first need a board.
Corkboard. This is great for pinning up pictures and other objects onto the board without having to glue them down. If you decide to switch something out, you can also re-pin something rather than having to go through the hassle of ungluing or cutting something out.
Cardboard. If you don’t have a corkboard, no worries! You can use a slab of cardboard and decorate it in colorful sheets of paper.
Notebook or sketchbook. Pick out a colorful or inspiring notebook and use it as a creative canvas for your vision board. It doesn’t really matter what ‘board’ you have for your vision, as long as it’s something you can attach photos and objects that remind you of your desires.
Photos or Pictures
Once you have your board, you’re going to need to print or cut out pictures or photos of what it is you want to manifest into your life. It’s important to feel good when you look at these photos and view them as something you can achieve.
Supplies
Pictures
Cutouts
Scissors
Glue
Pen and paper
Craft supplies (Markers, colors, paint, etc.)
Extras
This is the part where you can get creative and decorate your board with anything else you’d like. This isn’t necessary for a vision board, but it’s a fun way to personalize your board. By personalizing your vision board, you feel more connected to it and enjoy looking at it more, which is helpful in encouraging you to go after your goals.
What to decorate your board with
Quotes
Clippings
Drawings
Souvenirs
Stickers
Now that you have all your supplies ready, it’s time to begin assembling your vision board!

Happy Manifesting!🥰

Hey
You answered my ask so thank you loads for that...
I was in a very bad phase of life and you gave me hope to come out of it ❤️...
Just wanted to ask you a question
Do you read fantasy?
Is there a book you've read that changed your mind/perspective over things?
Any favourite authors you want to suggest?
Hello Friend!
You are very welcome. I am glad I could help you in some way. You deserve to be happy and healthy🤍
I don't read fantasy.
I think one of the books that really changed my life was What I Know For Sure by Oprah. Her journey is really inspiring!
I'd suggest reading Elif Shafak, Lara Love Hardin, Ali Hazlewood, Jane Austen (all time favourite), Michelle Obama, Brianna Wiest, Donna Ashworth, Nikita Gill. I'm more into poetry. I also have some Wattpad suggestions if you'd like, just DM me or send me an ask.

Mountain Dreams by Crystal Charlotte Lynch
Sometimes I wish I could go away.
Off to the mountains.
Where nature and human intertwine as one.
Where the air is fresh.
You can breathe again.
Beauty is ever evolving around me.
Off to the mountains.
Where I live off the land.
Where I build strength.
Where I rediscover self.
Where I embrace life.
Where I can be free.
Off to the mountains I go.
