Hi hi! I hope you're having fun! Can I request headcanons involving Yusuke, Ryuji and Akechi having a spoiled sweet little daddy's girl daughter? Thank you!
I know I haven’t been that active but I sure am uwu~!!
Ryuji
Ryuji tries to be a fair father, but when he sees his baby girl, he absolutely melts. Anything they want, he’ll get them, no problem. That said, he still tries to teach them the lesson of restraint and how not everything will come on a silver platter for them. He still needs to wait if it’ll work or not.
He knows he won’t be able to buy everything his daughter wants, but gosh darn it he’ll try his best anyway. He can’t buy her diamond rings or a pony, but he’ll try to make them himself. Stuffed, roughly stitched up pony plushies and ring pops are what he gives her, yet she loves them anyway.
As a daddy’s girl, she’s always asking for his attention on anything, whether it be drawings, puzzles, new toys and what not. He’s always happy to have her on his lap and telling him about her day, coddling her with cuddles and tickles. Her smile and giggles make his day.
He never wants to see his baby girl sad ever again. If someone hurts his daughter….No one will escape his rage, although he’ll make sure she’s alright before going on his rampage. All that matters to him is her safety, and no boys. Definitely no boys.
“You’ll stay daddy’s little girl forever right? Right?!”
Yusuke
She’s his favorite model; silent, graceful and adorable. All she wants to do is appear in his paintings and who is he to disagree? Of course he’ll allow his beautiful daughter to pose for him as he painted her beauty onto a canvas, hoping to show the world her beauty.
He tries to spoil her, but sometimes he can’t, not that she minds of course. As long as she has his love completely, she doesn’t care. Favor is more important than fortune to her and she lets him know that his attention should always be on her. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
When she isn’t looking, he puts food on her plate. It seems small, but to him, it’s a huge deal and she greedily eats it all down. On occasions (all right all the time) he’ll also give her his dessert, although she wants to share it with him most of the time.
While she isn’t as spoiled as the others, she definitely wants her dear old dads attention all to herself. She wants to be the center of his world, especially when it comes to art.  He is more than happy to have her become his only model, even at the expense of the rest of his clientele.
“You, my dear, are my precious little model.”
Akechi
He’s a little too busy to always be with her, but he tries his hardest to give her what she wants and be a better father than his own. Sure, she may end up spoiled, but at least he’s doing something for her right? Right?  He regrets not being able to be there, but sometimes life is like that.
Toys, clothing, heck even jewelry is bought for her and while she certainly loves everything he gives her, really, she just wants his time and attention and nothing else. Material possessions are nice, but they don’t compare to the warmth and love of an actual person. Goro regrets this, but there really isn’t anything he can do about it unfortunately.
When he comes back from work, he can’t do anything to stop his lovely daughter from crying her heart at, mourning the loss of her father every single day, even if he wasn’t necessarily dead. It broke him and one day, he’ll finally be the father she deserves. He only hopes it’s not too late.
His daughter….well, she understands but she declares that his love is hers and hers alone! She’ll selfishly hoard it until he has nothing else to give. Of course, he would do that anyway. Anything for his sweet daughter~
“There’s nothing in this world that would stop me from giving you what you want my dear little girl~”

Atsukashiyama Ibun Paris report
So I’m home and I feel like I’m in a post-convention depression more that I’ve felt after recent cons xD I was kind of sad that I wasn’t at Japan Expo Paris, I didn’t actually know beforehand they’d be there ^^; and I couldn’t take days off or afford to go either way, but I’d been looking forward to the musical for an entire week (including losing sleep over it, oops). I went to Paris on Friday and met up with Edo and did some shopping for items we needed (or didn’t need but I have a backscratcher that acts as extendable Ishikirimaru prop now xD). Later met up with Mai & Katy and then had a late but well-deserved dinner at a Japanese restaurant.
Saturday I attended the fanmeet near the Louvre. It was warm and we tried to stay in the shade of the trees. Some people came in cosplay (brave! but not smart xD) and it was fun to see all the itabags gathering. I didn’t talk to that many people but it was great meeting @sohmariku and talking about Japan and subbing. There was a lot of things going on in terms of ‘what we can do for the boys’, like signing a flag, writing short messages for Kitazono Ryo and even recording video messages (which I fucked up- and once I make a mistake I’m done for xD). Took a break early in the evening because I was tired and started getting a really bad headache, but met up with a group of people for dinner, and then went to bed. For some reason, woke up way too early every day but *shrug* it must be a jiji thing.
Sunday- performance day
Aaand then it was Sunday. I’d also decided to write letters on a whim but I only ended up writing two (for Sakiyama & Ryuji) and a get well soon card for Ryo.  I went to the venue around 10, to meet up with Edo and Katy again and check how everything would be organized. It appeared that goods would only be sold 45 minutes before the show. Uhm. I didn’t think too much of it at that point, but luckily Edo was very much set on getting in early for merch, so I was also pretty much in front of the line of one of the entrances.  Good thing too, because the goods stand was too small and too slow to allow many people to actually get their stuff. I managed to buy bromides, the pamphlet and a penlight - decided against the DVD bc I can get it cheaper online - and after I went to the toilet, they already announced that not many more people would be able to buy goods. I went in and took my seat and was later joined by Senta, who’d never watched the musical before so it was fun to afterwards hear what she thought of it and explain some more about the connection between the swords and their former masters. I wasn’t very much at the front but had a good view on the entire stage. At first the full cast and the producer (and writer?) took the stage to explain the Kitazono Ryo’s medical condition - he’d been diagnosed with retinal detachment and was advised not to act on stage, but he could do his lines and vocals. They then called him on stage, and you could tell by his posture and face that this was a very difficult thing to do. Ryo cried through his words and could hardly speak, it was so very sad to see him like this, apologizing for not being able to be on stage. He got a big round of applause and took a spot behind the audience from where he’d act out his lines. [spoilers ahead]
The musical started off differently, with Mikazuki doing a dance - immediately making the link to Tsuwamonodomo stronger - while the ‘human’ story played out behind him. They also added that smithing song between Mikazuki and Kogitsunemaru. There were some obvious changes to the musical, but mostly subltle changes in conversations and little things added here and there. The overall flow of the story remains the same, of course, but the musical has evolved through time and you can tell that there’s improvement in all aspects (although it was always great haha). The presence of Kogi on stage was not a big problem for the course of the story, since his interaction is mostly limited to speaking to others, aside from the song he shared with Mikazuki and ofc in the group scenes, there is an empty spot, but even so his character was there. It was still sad to see everyone looking at that empty spot, but I’m just glad that at least he was allowed to and able to perform by speaking.
I love the scenes with Benkei and Iwatooshi - let’s be honest, Iwatooshi is the new guy at the citadel in this piece and he’s so fucking strong, bless him. Just like his former master, he’s a good man with a strong sense of duty and good intuition. And his doubt and resolve are played out very well. Araki Kentaro is also great as Yoshitsune, in every performance he’s been able to express the duality between human Yoshitsune and possessed Yoshitsune very well.
I also think everyone grew in their respective characters and the singing was also better than before. Everyone’s performance was outstanding. Mikazuki’s elegance, Iwatooshi’s strength, Ishikirimaru’s protectiveness, Kashuu’s vigor, Imanotsurugi’s enery and Kogi’s empathy, it was all there. I just love how these characters influence each other. At the end, the fighting got more intense than it was before, adding some dramatic despair that I don’t think I felt before during that scene, and I don’t think anyone would ever complain about Daichi’s bare back :) The Idol Live part was all new!! Surprisingly, I wasn’t expecting that and as people later pointed out, it was nowhere hinted at either - no idol outfit bromides for us yet, but I’d love to get those!.I love the new outfits, they were very nicely coordinated, the original character colours were used very well, and the jackets with connecting lines look so fabulous <3  The songs were also very good! Very upbeat and catchy and boi the dance moves!! I was really impressed and as Ishikirimaru fan I’ve been eyeing Sakiyama most of the time - hard to ignore his tight pants and smooth moves xD I have a vague feeling they also gave him more center stage time? His popularity has climbed since the first Atsukashiyama run so I guess they might take that into consideration? It made me happy to see that they looked like they were having a lot of fun, despite everything, that they were giving their all in a foreign country, and by the amount of pen lights and different colours, everyone had fans and I hope they felt our love~
They also kept up with the misogi tradition where someone has to say a line in repsonse to a given situation. Mikazuki got picked and instead of giving us a line, he had to flash his back, this kinky mofo. Mario ma boy you  know what you’re about don’t you. <3 At the end they all presented themselves in French (v cute baww), aaand it ended with otokomichi as usual but that entire song/act is just A+++, it’s such a motivating song. Everyone looked happy. They got a lot of applause, a standing ovation WELL DESERVED and in the end, all pen lights turned yellow to wave at Ryo as he left his spot. I hope he got some strenth and courage from it, and felt less burdened. I went out... Edo and Katy went to the evening performance too. I was thinking of just hanging around or maybe going to the hotel but - France had just won the world cup and Paris had exploded into a chaotic soccer mess that I wanted no part of - so I bought a rank 2 ticket and went in again. (yolo is a thing, this might well be the only time to ever see a toumyu live) Things about seeing it twice:  - Ryozono had regained his composure. I think that the successful afternoon performance and the fan’s reactions had made him feel at least less worried. He apologized this time with a strong and confident voice. Bless him. - There was a scene where Ishi wanted to draw Kashuu’s portrait (ref to Mihotose), but he forgot his pen xD He glossed it over real smooth. GJ Sakiyama <3 - It was misogi time for Ishikirimaru!! I may have screamed. I wish I’d remembered exactly what he said but it was about hugging, I think my brain just melted hence the bad memory. ^^;;;
- For the idol performance we took different seats at the side to see the actors from closer by.<3  - Sadly there were a lot of empty seats for the evening performance. It would’ve been hard to get home when the musical was over so I understand but I also think they should have done a better job at promoting the entire event. It’s alway been hard to get information, most of it  had been translated by fans from the official Japanese site. People came from all over Europe and more people would come if you’d done proper promotion beforehand. Uhm... I think that’s it. It was great. I had an amazing time with the people I was with and talked to and I wish I’d been there today as well to talk about it even more but HMU ok.
Can I just say I’m into hell even deeper now? That I fucking love Tsubasa? But also Daichi? But also Mario? Actually EVERYONE??? I’m really really really happy I decided to go, best decision, kill me now (but I’m already dead), I haven’t been able to think of anything else and I’m definitely not ready to go to work tomorrow. I hope this does still open doors to more (tourabu) musicals and/or stage plays to come to Europe. It’s very niche but it’s still a growing fandom. I’m more motivated again to do some subbing to spread the love for the stages/musicals that I like and hope people will join us in this hell and start supporting the boys and their work.

Chapter 27: Battle at Kongo-Shinzan
Kongo-Shinzan was a mess. In a matter of hours, the Impure King had grown to the size of a building. It dominated the mountainside, rising up and looming over us like a giant storm cloud. Only if the storm cloud spewed dangerous demonic fumes instead of rain. And instead of running away from it like any normal person would do, myself and the exwires were running towards it!
“What even is that thing!?” Shima shouted from the back of the group. “How can we beat something so huge! It’s the end of the world!”
I brought the group to a halt, so we could all catch our breaths. Everyone’s eyes were locked on the demon; it was impossible to look away.
“So that’s the Impure King,” Rin muttered.
“It’s like a fortress!” said Ryuji.
I took in our surroundings. “Suguro, how far are we from Goma Hall?”
He looked around then said, “Not very.”
“Then let’s start searching here,” I commanded. “No one stray too far, and if you notice anything, alert me immediately.” The group nodded and dispersed.
As I watched them go, I thought back to my conversation with Shura. As soon as we had sprung Rin, I called her to tell her.
“Good job, Shikito. I’m proud of you, you’re a rebel now.”
I ignored her jibes. “What should we do now? Head straight for the Impure King? Or should we try to meet up with you? They might just throw Rin in custody again.”
“No, don’t do any of those,” she said. “Go look for Tatsuma.”
“What? Why?”
“He isn’t where Mamushi last saw him, and we’ve scoured the area. He’s probably run off, so he can’t be far, but we’re tied up here. Find him and ask about the letter. Don’t engage with the Impure King, not yet.”
“Ok,” you agreed.
“And Shikito?”
“Yeah?” Shura was silent for a moment. Then she said, “Good luck. And be careful.” The line went dead after that.
I was snapped out of my flashback by Izumo calling out, “Hey! Is that your dad?”
Everyone instantly turned and headed towards the girl. We followed her line of sight to see a figure lying unconscious in the grass. Dried blood coated the front of his robes.
Bon was at his father’s side in an instant. “No, no, no, no, no,” he chanted to himself, inspecting his father’s still figure.
“Ms. Luma, what do we do?” Koneko asked in a panicked tone.
“Call Shura,” I instructed, kneeling down on the other side of Tatsuma. “Let her know we’ve found him.”
But before Konekomaru could dial the number and before I could check his pulse, Tatsuma’s body began to glow a golden orange. The light suddenly dissipated from his body, shooting up to form a glowing orb in front of Suguro. The orb took the form of a small bird. My eyes widened in shock. This was...
“I am Karura, servant of the Myo-o-dharani head priests,” the bird announced.
“Karura!?” Suguro was shocked as well. “My dad’s familiar?”
“I was,” said Karura. “But the secret was revealed and the agreement was broken. Now I am bound to him by a personal agreement.”
It was just then that a wheezy intake of breath emerged from Suguro’s father. A sigh of relief went around the group at the realization that he was, in fact, alive.
“Father!” Ryuji completely ignored Karura to pay attention to his dad.
“Ryuji...” Tatsuma murmured groggily. He took in the rest of the group. “What are you all doing here?”
“We came to help.”
Tatsuma weakly tried to sit up and lean his back against a tree trunk.
“So reckless,” he muttered.
“I healed your wounds, but you must not move,” ordered Karura.
Tatsuma just seemed to notice his familiar. “Karura? You’re so small. I thought we were both dead.”
“I am the immortal bird. I am always reborn,” the familiar spoke as if its words were obvious. “Besides,” it continued, “The agreement for the Aeon Wave Flame still stands. I will not allow you to die.”
As the demon was speaking, Tatsuma’s eyes landed on one specific member of our group.
“Rin!” he exclaimed. “You read my letter!”
“We all read it,” I told him. I had shared it with the exwires before saving Rin.
“Everyone here understands the basic situation,” added Ryuji. “Now tell me everything.”
At first, Tatsuma was surprised by his son’s severity. But finally, he closed his eyes in surrender and said, “All right. I will tell you how to defeat the Impure King.”
“According to ‘The True Way of the Impure King’, known only to Myodha’s head priests, the Impure King will grow until he is the size of a castle. Then a giant spore sack will form in the center.”
“Spore sack? You mean that? That round thing at the top?” Shima pointed to where you could just see the Impure King over the tops of the trees.
“Yes, that’s probably it. If it matures and ruptures, spores carrying a potent poison will spread in gaseous form. 150 years ago, those spores killed 40,000 people. Casualties in modern-day Kyoto would be much worse. We must prevent that!”
“So we have to defeat it before the spore sac bursts,” Ryuji’s words were more of a statement than a question.
Tatsuma shook his head. “It’s not that simple. The Impure King’s only weak spot  is its ‘heart’, which is inside the sac. When Fukaku fought the Impure King 150 years ago, he had no choice but to split the heart in two and seal the pieces.”
“And those are the right and left eyes,” Izumo finished.
Koneko spoke up in a trembling voice, “In other words, we can’t hit the ‘heart’ without breaking the sack?!”
Tatsuma nodded solemnly. “That’s right.”
Suguro cursed under his breath. “That’s tricky.”
“Fifteen years ago,” Tatsuma continued, “I made a deal with Karura to use the Aeon Wave Flame. It converts one’s lifespan into flames. One great flame to release at the end of my life... I planned on using it to completely destroy the Impure King, but I used it only fifteen years later to hold him in place. There isn’t much.”
Karura flew over into Tatsuma’s hand. He clenched his fist, giving him control of the flame. “With the remaining flame, I will stop the gas from spreading when the sac ruptures.”
He opened his first and Karura resumed its bird shape. “Rin,” Tatsuma addressed my friend, “I want you to use the Koma Sword and destroy the heart of the Impure King.”
Rin’s eyes widened in shock, but then dropped to the ground in shame. “I’m sorry, but-”
Tatsuma cut him off, “I know. You could die, but-”
“Huh? No,” Rin interrupted back, as if him dying wasn’t at all an inconvenience. “I can't draw my sword.”
I mentally face palmed. Of course Rin wouldn’t care about the fact that he could die. But he still couldn’t draw his sword? This wasn’t good.
“I’ve been trying but I can’t?” To prove his point, he tugged on the sheath, but it wouldn’t didn’t budge.
“Why not?” Ryuji demanded.
“I don’t know. It’s some sort of mental hang-up.”
“Are you serious?” someone groaned.
Rin held out his sword in defeat. “Even I get worried sometimes! So I’m no use right now! Sorry, Pops.”
Tatsuma sighed. “I see. That is a problem. But I can at least put up the barrier.” He attempted to stand up, only to collapse back over with a gasp of pain.
“You must not, Tatsuma,” Karura said. “You have lost too much blood.”
Panic rolled off the priest in waves. He bent forward trying to regain himself.
“I healed your wounds, but you nearly bled to death,” Karura explained. “If you attempt a barrier spell now, you will surely die.”
Despite his familiar’s warnings, Tatsuma was still trying to get up. “It doesn’t have to be for long,” he reasoned. “This is more important than my life!”
Ryuji cursed again.
“Konekomaru,” I turned back to the exwire. “Have you gotten a hold of Shura yet?”
He shook his head. “It’s nothing but static.”
“Shit. The gas must be too thick.”
“Dad, is there anything we can do?” Suguro turned to his father.
“Oh?” Karura’s voice held a tone of interest. “You are Tatsuma’s son? That is perfect. I can transfer the Aeon Wave Flame to one of the High Priest’s blood.”
“No!!” The outburst came from the high priest himself. “You can’t! He’s still a child! Don’t involve him! These fetters end with me! I swore upon my life! Anything but that!”
I could see on Ryuji’s face and in his mind that he was putting the puzzle pieces together. Why his father had always been so distant. Why his father didn’t want him to become an exorcist. Why he had secluded himself from the sect all those times.
Tatsuma was panting from his outburst, which had weakened him even further.
Suguro addressed his father, “You’ve carried this burden all alone until now.”
The priest wheezed out something that sounded like a laugh. “I did it because I wanted to.”
“I won’t let you!” Suguro cried, tears beginning to dot the corners of his eyes. “I’ll bear it too! And I won’t let you say otherwise.”
Karura moved to it’s masters ear. “Tatsuma, your son is wiser than you.”
He made as if to protest, but then hung his head in defeat. “That’s why I didn’t want to involve him.”
Karura floated out into the group until it stood right in front of Ryuji. “I will now transfer the Aeon Wave Flame.”
We all watched in shock as Karura’s flames grew brighter, until it was nearly blinding.
“If you are indeed the child of Tatsuma Suguro, prove your blood.”
Ryuji brought his thumb to his mouth and bit down hard. Karura’s flame eagerly latched onto the blood that arose, making the bird disappear.
“You do indeed bear the blood of Tatsuma Suguro.” Then right before our eyes, the flame spread from his finger, down his whole hand as if he were wielding the fire himself. The golden orange color changed to a darker shade of red-orange. I was reminded of my own red ice.
The flame left Suguro’s hands and reformed into Karura. “Ryuji Suguro, you now possess the Aeon Wave Flame.”
We were shocked out of our awe, by Tatsuma speaking up again, “Ryuji, I will teach you the strongest barrier spell known only to the Head Priest. Come here.” He turned his back to his son and motioned for him to sit down. “Some of the signs will be new to you. Watch closely how they combine. I can only do this once. Watch, listen, and memorize.”
As the head priest began his lesson, I felt nostalgia in both of their thoughts. My heart warmed at the memories and at the sight of father and son, sitting together again.
It took a few moments to get through the whole spell, but as Tatsuma was finishing the lesson, he keeled over and collapsed. We all rushed to his side. I observed the priest; he was breathing heavily and covered in a fine layer of sweat.
“Shiemi, Izumo,” I addressed the girls. “Would you stay here and look after him?” Both of them nodded, already up to the job.
“Shima, Konekomaru,” I turned to them next. “Go find Shura and the other exorcists and tell them everything that’s happened here.”
“What about Bon?” Miwa asked.
I turned to Ryuji, indicating that the decision was his.
He glanced at me for a moment, then nodded. He turned back to his friend and said, “I’m going to put up the barrier. It’ll spread around the touch earth sign, so I have to get close to the spore sac.”
Shima and Koneko’s jaws dropped. “You’re going to get close to that?” the latter exclaimed. “No way!!”
Shima was calmer, but still concerned. “Bon, I’ve always kept quiet because of your parents, but I’ve got to say something. You’re gonna die, you know that?”
“No, he isn’t,” I tried to say, but as soon as I spoke, someone else said, “Don’t worry.”
I looked over. Both Rin and I had stepped forward. I indicated that he should go first. He nodded and said, “I’ll protect him!” Everyone looked pretty skeptical, so he continued, “I can’t draw my sword, but I can still use my flame a little! Anyways, I’m strong!”
I nodded and addressed Bon’s concerned friends. “I’ll go with them. My ice powers aren’t going to do much against the Impure King, but my combat skills will still come in handy. We’ll keep him safe.”
Rin looked straight at Koneko. “Will you trust him with me?”
The boy was silent, seemingly making up his mind. From behind, I heard Shima mutter, “Aren’t you gonna ask me?”
Instead of answering, Koneko’s eyes began to water, so he just nodded, turned and took off into the forest.
Shima was shocked by his friend’s sudden departure. He called after him, but when Miwa continued to run, he groaned and took off after him. “You guys better not come crying to me later!” he shouted as he disappeared into the underbrush.
Ryuji looked at the girls. “My dad is in your hands.”
Izumo nodded firmly while Shiemi said, “You can count on us!”
That left me, Rin, and Ryuji. “Let’s go,” I said, unfurling my sword from my wrist.  Both boys eyes widened and I realized they’d never seen me in action before. Oh boy, were they in for a sight.
As we made to leave, a frail voice spoke behind us, “Be careful.” It was Tatsuma, and he was mostly addressing his son. “I truly am sorry. Ryuji, forgive your worthless father.”
The boy paused, but didn’t look back. When he spoke, his voice was thick with emotion, “Dad, I always liked the way you chanted sutras. So you better not die on me.”
With those final words, we made towards the Impure King. Towards the biggest fight of our lives.
