Astrology of Keanu Reeves

Using Placidus system
Tumblr media
Ascendant/Chart Ruler
Virgo rising with ruler mercury in the 1h. With 14°(Taurus degree)
He’s very reserved and pretty much keep to himself. He may be very intelligent but keep most thoughts to himself. He probably has a close knit group of friends that knows him on personal level. He may get uncomfortable around lots of people or people see him as really shy but once you talk to him there’s lots of depth there that you didn’t see before.
Virgo Stellium 1h
(Sun, Mercury, Uranus and Pluto)
Sun- indicates mass fame or being well known. He’s a Virgo sun and I love how he’s known to be kind and generous to people. Virgo rules over acts of service.
Mercury- I already explained this in his chart ruler section. I will add that he loves learning and helping people anyway he can. He may even like teaching or people love learning things about him. He knows a variety of different topics with his mercury at 9°(Sagittarius degree) sag rules over broad knowledge.
Uranus- he maybe seen as socially awkward or different than other people. He stands out from everyone else and that gives him lots of attention which makes him uncomfortable. I’ve noticed with Aqua risings or Uranus 1h people tend to get more attention when they do their own thing that’s different from other people.
Pluto- he’s very magnetic and people are very attracted to him. He may have gone through some horrific things in his life especially early years. Pluto rules over transformations but we all know transformations can be painful but man the growth afterwards. Also this makes him even more private and reserved which makes the public more interested in him.
In his pass lives; he may have sacrificed (Pisces)and put a lot of his energy into relationships(7h) so now it’s time take that energy back and start doing things for himself. He still meant to help people but not at the cost of his own health.
Cancer Stellium 11h
(Mars, Moon and Venus)
Mars- well this explains why the public is so protective of him😅 I’ve always said keanu gives me “mother energy”(yes men can have mom energy too) now mars is in its fall(uncomfortable)here. So I bet he doesn’t like confrontations or arguments. He may also hold a lot of his emotions in until it gets too much for him. I would not want to see his angry side😅(hello John Wick)
Moon- moon is home here. It’s probably a good thing he’s private and not on any social medias because he probably can pick up everyone energy around him(11h).
In pass lives he may have also been in the spotlight and heavily focused on his work career(Capricorn 5h), only being around famous people.but in this life he’s focused on his private life and connecting with your everyday average person.
Saturn Pisces and Jupiter Return
I see he’s starting his Saturn Return since he has Saturn 1°. Saturn rules his 7h of partnerships and close relationships. I wonder if he’ll get married or decide to get married soon. I know he’s currently in a relationship with a painter I believe. Pisces traditional ruler Jupiter is in Taurus. Taurus is ruled by Venus and Venus rules over art.
Jupiter enters Taurus later on this year which will be his return but he’ll feel the affects when Jupiter gets close to his natal degree which is 25° so early next year some time.
Pluto Aquarius
Pluto Capricorn has been in his 5h for the last 15 years. His career and fame have been amazing for him . He stars in the John Wick franchise which has become a huge success for him. The Matrix franchise has also made a huge comeback. He found love and is in a happy (I hope) relationship. 5h also rules over romance and dating.
Now Pluto is entering Aquarius which rules his 6h. 6h rules his daily routines, health, pets, service to others. So let’s see how this plays out for him. I’m praying for good fortune.

'Don’t be a stranger, All of Us Strangers!
There are plenty of fans who love certain films and are ready to buy physical copies of those projects. In this current state of video-on-demand where movies constantly switch up streaming services and are sometimes completely erased from a streamer’s catalog, fans have become even more protective of the films they enjoy and make it a point to purchase physical copies on DVD or Blu-ray.
To be clear, All of Us Strangers is currently available for streaming on Hulu. You can also buy a digital copy of the movie via Apple TV or Amazon. But as huge stans of such a beloved queer film like All of Us Strangers, we’re not sure if it’s ever getting a physical copy for sale.
On Feb. 13, X account @TheFilmStage shared some unverified information that reads:
“Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers will not receive a physical disc release (via @AJYeend).”
The source used by this X account is Adam J. Yeend, a features writer for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences digital publication. Though we’re unable to identify the original report or social media post from Yeend that was used as a source for this X post, he did respond to AOUS fans asking about physical copies of the film, writing:
“[Parent company Disney] continually shows a lack of reverence for the Searchlight and 20th Century titles, which are often mostly just dumped on streaming. They don’t know what to do with films like this. They’re a branding company first, and a studio second.”
The discourse about Disney-owned Searchlight Pictures movies not getting physical copies stems from a reported agreement for “Sony to take over all of Disney’s physical media production going forward,” which was detailed on The Digital Bits and confirmed on Variety.
The specific concern related to All of Us Strangers is happening between social media pages and blogs, as reported on World of Reel, which directly alleges that “the latest Searchlight film, Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers, will not be released on physical media.” And yet, the source used for this particular tidbit of information is also not found.
If you don’t understand why Disney and Sony are involved, here’s the tea: All of Us Strangers was released by Searchlight Pictures, formerly known as Fox Searchlight Pictures, which was acquired as part of the Disney deal to buy Fox. In turn, Sony (the parent company, not the movie studio) is the largest manufacturer and distributor of physical DVD and Blu-ray discs.
Generally speaking, the move to slow down the making, distribution, and sale of physical discs is something that is happening to the entertainment industry as a whole. In Oct. 2023, for instance, Variety broke the news that Best Buy will phase out sales of DVDs and Blu-ray in brick-and-mortar stores as well as online, starting in early 2024.
All things considered, small-budget LGBTQ+ movies that were potential award contenders but didn’t get as much love from voters as expected are now all at risk of never even getting physical copies so that dedicated fans can purchase them.
It’s a sad reality for fans of physical copies of movies that they love, and a genuine concern in terms of titles being removed from streaming services seemingly out of nowhere. Hopefully, we’ll get new updates concerning physical copies of All of Us Strangers… but things aren’t looking great right now, let’s just say that!'

Okay, let's fuckin gooooo!!!
I'm seeing if I can do a blog post every day to try and get myself through more of that wall of awful brain garbage that's been gumming things up inside me. I have a lot of topics I've been wanting to talk about, and stories I've been wanting to record, and, yanno. The only way out is through.
It was my first day off I haven't shared with one of my mates in awhile, so that ended up shaping how I approached the day. I started a bit of a decluttering project, since we do have a lot of stuff with no homes right now. I'm not willing to mess with my mates' stuff, but in the two years since moving all the way out here my hyper pared-down stuff has grown, and I was definitely due for some re-organizing and looking it all over for stuff I don't want or need anymore. A big part of the project today was breaking down the variety of little caches I'd developed in a few spots in the apartment and keeping like things together, especially toys and art supplies. I have some big traditional media projects I've been gearing up for, and the more ready things are to get started, the more convenient I make my setups to hit the ground running, the more likely I am to actually do them.
Talking about that stuff was supposed to help me ease into writing about one of the more emotionally charged things I've been meaning to write about, ^_^;; but if I segue into talking about Otherkin stuff from decluttering, the post's kinda gonna feel uneven to me. So, okay, let's talk about, as I have it in my notes:
The Time I Drove Across the Country 3 Times to Save My Life
I feel guilty about looking at it as anything but a tragedy, millions of people died, and who knows how many more were permanently disabled, and so many could have been okay if the people in power hadn't been so eager to throw them to the mercies of an uncaring disease. But, selfishly, COVID saved my life.
My mental health still isn't great. There are always ups and downs, and I've been under a lot of financial stress that's been causing me to spiral in a lot of other ways again. But before COVID it was so, so much worse. I wasn't still living with my abusive parents at the time, but I was working for them, and still beholden to them socially and financially. And I was...loosing resiliency. Going to cons and spending time with my friends wasn't...well, if wasn't enough to offset how the rest of it was wearing on me, dealing with my abusers, doing a job I hated and where I constantly felt like I was failing, and I was losing ground. I'd been suicidal for years and years, and I didn't think I had much fight left in me. I'd also been trying to escape, with interruptions to triage myself to keep functioning, for even longer. I was tired, and I was getting desperate.
COVID bought me more time.
Everything going into shutdown was bad. And let me be perfectly clear, shutting down was the right thing to happen, there were so, so many people who should not have died. But for the first time in ten years, I got some distance from my abusive parents. I didn't have to go into a job and see them all the time, I didn't have to go over to their house and play nice and cow-tow to them every week.
For the first time in so, so long, I got a reprieve.
It was still hard, I missed my friends, and the stress of living under the threat of a pandemic was huge. But I finally started to be able to put myself back together again. Just a little bit. And that made all the difference in the world.
And then, in the heart of all this uncertainty, one of my really, really good friends who I'd fallen out of contact with a few years prior reached out, and we reconnected. We talked, and talked, and one thing led to another, and eventually we started dating.
My parents had eroded most of the COVID protections at my job by this time, having us back working in the office, opening the office to the public, and things were quickly becoming untenable for me again. My friends, in person and long distance, did their best to help. As much as I would let them see how deeply I was struggling.
Then came the Thanksgiving trip.
I'd been very resistant to flying to Florida with my family in the Thanksgiving of a pandemic. But my mom had bartered with me. If I went on this trip, they wouldn't force me into going on the Christmas trip. -_- And how could I say no to a deal like that. Look, I didn't have many options, and again, I was beholden to them. I could only fight so hard. So, I went. And it was worse than I had even expected.
Never masking in a state with abysmal infection numbers, never taking advantage of outside seating at restaurants, eating out for every meal was bad enough. The endless refrain of Fox News and fascistic dogwhistles put me over the edge. I knew they wanted who I really was dead. But...living inside it...I was done. I needed to escape, by any means necessary. My friends were alarmed and rightly so. I redoubled my efforts to find another job as means of escape, and determined I would not do this ever again. I would give myself a deadline to get out.
When my relationship started with my mate, I changed my focus to jobs in the San Jose area. And in February, I finally had an opportunity. Two jobs wanted me to come in and interview, and I'd already blocked out a long weekend for that year's virtual FurSquared con. Instead, I loaded myself and my 16-year-old kidney diseased kitty, and everything I though I couldn't do without in case I decided to simply never come back, and drove the 3,000 miles from Illinois to California in 3 days.
It was ROUGH. I didn't give myself a very reasonable timeline to get there, and driving 10-hour or more days, going from cat-friendly hotel to cat-friendly hotel was A Lot. Giving Zi her subcutaneous fluids in hotel rooms was a wild experience. But eventually, we made it. I met up with my mate, changed clothes and ran out for an interview...^_^;; which I actually missed because I'd taken too long to get there. But spending the night with my mate and their partner, feeling safe with them...they offered to let me stay, and I tearfully admitted that I didn't want to leave.
I almost just stayed. I wanted to, badly. But I still had a house to get out from under, and I needed to go back and sell it. I went to the second interview, where neither of us impressed one another, and drove Zi and myself back, escape plan in gear.
My house was a horrifically cluttered mess when I called the realtor who'd helped me buy it and asked him to help me sell, but he was still generous when he came by to talk with me. The market was good, he told me, and places were getting sold even before they were properly listed. I signed the papers, and started getting to work on paring everything down and packing.
It quickly became clear that storage or moving things or Uhauls would be prohibitively expensive for me, easily over $1,000 for the cheapest options. Since I would be moving without a job set up, and without any form of income when I left, the only reasonable option was to only bring what I could fit in my car, and donate or sell the rest. It was hard, emotional work, and I had to make a lot of hard decisions (and a lot of use of Facebook Marketplace for the first time), but I made it happen, and by mid April, I finally left.
I had a celebratory going away party the night before leaving, where we drank and had fun, and enjoyed one another's company. And then my friends came and helped me with the last of the junk I hadn't managed to get through the next morning. They held me while I had a panic attack over telling my parents I was leaving, and helped me to be able to go.
In the end, the people who really knew me, who really loved me, saved me.
Finally, I headed out with Zi, deciding to drive...less stupid hours this time. I limited myself to 8 hour driving days, and just did a few more days. Memorably, one morning when I was trying to get us out the door and checked out, I couldn't find Zi. I searched that hotel room for my kitty for a good half hour before I finally found her--she'd somehow managed to open a drawer, climb inside, and shut herself in!
I'd expected to feel freed, relieved. I'd expected to feel a weight off myself immediately. But mostly, what I'd felt at first was numb grief. I was so tired. I was glad to be going, excited to be with people I loved. But I still felt bad. Everything they would have thought of the situation echoed in my mind, and it hurt. I knew I was right to go. I knew there was no way they'd ever stop hurting me. I knew I needed to get away. But their words, of how selfish I was, echoed inside me.
It's still hard sometimes. Abuse echoes still. But I'm so, so fucking relieved to be out. And so, so fucking grateful to be with my partners.

How to Promote Your Event Through Facebook
Event marketing is a growing trend, and it’s one that can help your business reach new heights. With so many people using Facebook to keep up with their friends and family, promoting your event on the social media platform is a great way to get the word out. Here are some tips on how to promote your Event Management Services through Facebook: -Engage with your audience on Facebook. Try posting engaging content related to your event, and make sure to include a Call-To-Action (CTA) that encourages people to come and attend. -Create exclusive content for your Facebook page. This will help you stand out from the competition, and it will also encourage people to visit your page more frequently. -Use images and videos to capture people’s attention. Make sure all of your visuals are eye-catching and capture your audience’s imagination. -Monitor your event’s progress closely on Facebook. This will allow you to respond quickly to any changes or questions that arise, and it will also let you gauge the effectiveness of your marketing strategy.
The Basics of Facebook Advertising
Facebook advertising is a great way to get your event noticed by potential attendees. You can target people based on location, interests, and even contact information. There are also several creative ways to promote your event through Facebook. Here are some tips:
1. Choose a targeting option. You have three main targeting options when using Facebook advertising: demographics, interests, and contacts.
2. Use location targeting to reach people who are nearby. This is helpful if you want to target people who live close by or who might be interested in attending your event while they're out and about.
3. Use interests targeting to reach people who have similar interests as your event's topic or theme. This can help you reach out to potential attendees who may not have heard of your event but would be interested in learning more about it.
4. Use contact information targeting to reach people you know or want to target as potential attendees of your event. This is helpful if you want to specifically reach out to certain groups of people such as current customers, clients, or friends of yours who might be interested in learning more about what you have to offer.]]>
Creating Custom Ads
If you're looking to get your event in front of more people, then Facebook is the perfect platform for you. With a huge user base and plenty of advertising options, Facebook can help promote your event in a variety of ways.
Here are some tips on how to create custom ads on Facebook:
-First, create a landing page for your event. This will act as your main source of information and registration for attendees. You'll want to include all the important details about your event, like the date, time, location, and prizes.
-Once you have this page set up, start creating custom ads targeting specific groups of people. For example, if you're hosting an art show, consider targeting artists or collectors in your area. Alternatively, if you're organizing a charity fundraiser, target people who are likely to donate money.
-Keep in mind that Facebook limits the number of characters you can use for ad titles and descriptions so be concise but descriptive nonetheless. Opt for keywords that are relevant to your event or topic and focus on attracting potential attendees rather than selling them something they don't need or want.
- Finally, make sure to track results and review what worked and didn't work from your campaigns before moving forward with future events. Doing so will help you optimize campaigns quickly and ensure maximum exposure for your events!
Targeting Your Audience
When planning your event, it's important to target the right audience. This can be done through Facebook advertising, which lets you target individuals based on their interests and behavior.
To get started, create a Facebook page for your event. This will serve as your main hub for information and updates about your event. Once you have created your page, add a cover photo and description to attract attention.
Next, target your audience by creating ad campaigns . You can target people based on their interests or behaviors, such as age, location, or political beliefs. To get started, select the audience you want to reach and click "Create an ad."
Once you have created your ads, ensure that they are optimized for Facebook users. This includes title tags and descriptions that are short and to the point. Additionally, make sure that your ads include images and videos that will capture people's attention.
Finally, monitor your results! Keep track of how many people see your ads and what impact they had on the overall turnout for your event. If necessary, adjust your strategy accordingly so that you reach more people with less money spent on advertising
Choosing the Right Images and Videos for Your Event
When promoting an event, it's important to choose the right images and videos for your page. Here are a few tips:
1. Choose Images that Reflect Your Event
Make sure your images reflect the theme or tone of your event. For example, if your event is themed around fun and excitement, use images of people enjoying themselves. If your event is more solemn, consider using images of traditional symbols or events related to sadness or grief.
2. Use Videos to Promote Your Event
Facebook gives you the ability to create both short and long videos to promote your event. Longer videos tend to be more effective than shorter videos when promoting an event because they can provide more information about the event and encourage people to click through to learn more.
3. Plan Your Post Ahead of Time
Planning ahead is key when promoting an event on Facebook. Make sure you have a strong title and description for your post, as well as any pertinent details about the Event Organisers Near Me (including start time and location). Once you've written your post, test it out on a small scale first to make sure everything looks good before publishing it publicly.
Tips for Optimizing Your Event Page
When promoting your event, keep the following tips in mind:
- Share information about your event on your personal Facebook page and on pages associated with your organization.
- Use relevant images that capture the spirit of your event.
- Chase leads through online and offline marketing efforts before, during and after the event.
- Monitor social media reports to determine how well the event was promoted.
Conclusion
Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms out there, and it's no surprise that many businesses use it to promote their events. By creating a Facebook event and dedicating some time to promoting it, you can ensure that your event gets as much attention as possible. Here are a few tips on how to do just that: ###

Welcome to Reviewing the Views!
This is a new blog that I created as part of a project for my visual design global media class. Here, you will find a relaxed and honest space where I post some of my opinions and critiques regarding film, books, pop culture, and media. These are topics that I love to discuss, and I’m glad I decided to take a plunge with this assignment and do something I’ve always wanted to do. Feel free to continue reading to learn more about myself and this blog, but for now, welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay! 🫶🏼✨
Who are you?
*insert Skyrim prologue*
No, but seriously, that’s the big question, isn’t it?
My name is Rachel, and I am a university student majoring in digital journalism with a certificate in pre-law. While I have aspirations to go to law school and become an attorney, I find media to be absolutely fascinating.
From books to film to pop culture to fandom culture, I think it is so wonderful how communities blossom due to a sheer love for art and creation. There are many things to explore in media — how it affects us, teaches us, and defines who we are. I am just glad that now I have an opportunity to share my love with you all!
More about myself besides media: I love to cook/bake when I can find the time. I am a HUGE lover of cats (even though I just found out that I am allergic 😭) and I have two of my own.
Why Tumblr of all places?
Look, I’m gonna level with you. I am insanely busy in my day-to-day. To be quite honest, I’m not too sure how consistent my blogging will be since I will mainly keep it as a hobby alongside being an assignment for my class.
That being said, why Tumblr when Wordpress is right there? WordPress, while a great website for those who don’t know how to code (like myself), can get a bit tricky at times. Also, it reminds me of work: I used to use it back when I worked in an marketing internship, so to be on that platform puts me in “work mode.”
Basically, I’m gonna sit for hours editing a blog just to get it right. And I don’t want my hobby to become “work” — so, I chose Tumblr! To me, this platform is more relaxed, so it lets me have more fun when I write!
How is this blog going to be run?
At the moment, it’s a work in progress. As per my assignment details, each post is going to be between 100-200 words. It’s hard to post a full review on a topic with that kind of limit, but we’ll make do.
For the posts, I want to start with giving my general opinions on media that is either trending or just caught my eye. Hopefully, I would like to add sub-topics to provide variety.
I would love to see this blog actually take off, as this is something I enjoy talking about. Even though I am just starting out, I will greatly appreciate it if you stick around. I can’t wait to share this wonderful experience with you all!!

So all he needed to do was show up and teach me swimming for an hour during his spare time to earn cash. He used his college’s pool and taught me on Saturdays. When I was young, my parents paid for a college swimmer to give me swimming lessons. You could even teach something like martial arts or a sport that you played at a high level. This can include art-related skills like sculpture, or trades like carpentry or woodworking. So if you have a skill that you’re passionate about, it can be a great side hustle opportunity. More often, they’re sold by other businesses and third-party sellers who pay Amazon a fee to list their products. Very few of the items listed on Amazon are sold by the company itself. $10-$75 per hour, depending on the subject matter and type of student (high school, university, etc.) 2. Stocking Up on Stock Images
Creating That Flow
I thought I would talk about some of the things that I can provide here in the studio. I sometimes shy away from talking about my self or what I have to offer here in the studio and one day I will go into why I am changing that in a big way. Closed mouths don’t get fed as my oldest son says. So I am going talk about some simple ways that you can improve your feeds and give it a professional look. Weather you enlist my services or just need a fresh take on programs or design or like to talk shop.
I know so many authors and artist alike and we all have some of the same problem. Time, the amount of creativeity we have to spend on self promotion and cost factor. In this post I want to jump into tightening up the reinforcement of your brand, project, or theme by having stories that flatter your feed. These are images that pop up in your stories that highlight your important announcements such as a book out or new product to influencing feeds. These images direct the focus back to each other and proved engaging content that leaves animpression. New likes and follows or clicks, purchases, reposting etc.
Did You Know
That I work on a wide variety of art and yet it seems that you can never have enough knowledge. With technological advancements and the rate that creative tools come on the market, I find that I am constantly trying to keep up and learn new skills. So let me take a moment to just give you an idea of what we do here in the studio.
Creating Your Own Stock Photo Collection
I think anyone in today’s world has an enormous potential to create a huge selection of images just from the self-documenting photography that is so easy with the use of your cell phone. I use an iPhone. I see objects or a potential scene that I can photograph and remember colors or a feeling, an idea I wanted to encapsulate and use later. After a good minute, you can develop a folder of stock images for your social media feeds. Even with today’s apps, you can instantly create that little “extra” style or individuality and post it to your social. if you add a small business to that mix then suddenly posting and creating engaging content adds a bit more time commitment and it can get old. Here is what the studio does in order to stay on top of the demand.
As you can imagine working in an art studio and creating a “body of work” that will showcase your talent, growth, and evolution as an artist takes time and effort. I needed a way to have good content without stressing and running out of content. And I’m an artist and I have to make everything look good or artful.
Some Of My Considerations
Developing and having a surplus of images that are unique to me,
Stock Images (keeps content fresh and can be combined with unique features that express branding or style etc.
and that can be formatted to the different requirements of social image-sharing platforms.
Have access to a wide variety of fonts that can be used on different platforms. This part is tricky because you have to pay attention to the license of your font creator or of the platform that hosts the artist.
Some things to look out for
Web usage restriction
Social Media usage
Print Restrictions on manufactured goods etc. (I usually go for the extended version just up from personal use.)
have the ability to work on multiple projects in a cloud environment and have access across apps, computers, and mobile devices
able to update instantly the image and social media.
Keeps my content fresh and flowing.
Being able to change the look and feel instantly of templated media.
For example, one image can be used multiple times in multiple ways and still give unique content. This lengthens the life of the image.
The benefits are enormous. You can create stories to match or compliment your feed. This is one of the things that I have started to implement in my own business and it’s one of the services my studio can provide to anyone wanting to get those posts up and on time.
So I have talked a little today about the things that I wanted to be able to do on my social media platform and on my website. This streamlined my ability to stay organized and get my marketing (yes that is what social media is a marketing tool) Stay in touch with my followers and provide a business, large or small with some quality curated images for what you need.
If you are a business owner or even a social media influencer and need some images crafted to fit your brand or theme then let me know what you are interested in doing. We have packages that start a $99. per month. We can even post them on your media accounts.

4 Reasons Why NFTS Will Skyrocket in 2022
Tumblr media
Many experts are hailing 2022 as “The Year of NFTs” because a variety of reasons and market dynamics are pointing towards an unbelievable skyrocketing of the NFT market.
These non-fungible, one-of-a-kind assets are considered to be the next frontier of art and asset ownership thanks to their irrefutable record of all transactions. It means that can anyone can check and know for certain who the creators, buyers, and sellers of these tokens are. While the personal details of those people are never shared, their wallets are publicly trackable.
With that said, let’s look at some of the reasons why this unique and exciting class of virtual assets is going to launch into the stratosphere in 2022.
1. NFTs Can Represent Much More than Digital Art
Many people make the mistake of thinking that NFTs are digital arts and assets. While those are the most popular applications of these tokens today, they’re far from the only options.
A non-fungible token at its core is nothing more than an ownership record. It’s like a property deed that serves as proof of who owns the property. Even though a property deed is just a piece of paper, it can encapsulate the value of the real estate because this is how the ownership is managed.
NFTs are the same as they serve as a record of ownership for the underlying asset. In other words, the ownership record is what gets stored in the blockchain, not the underlying piece of art or any other asset itself.
Here’s why that’s a big thing. It means that you can use NFTs to represent the ownership of anything. From digital art and in-game collectibles to vehicles and acres of farmland, everything can be represented through an NFT because only the ownership data is stored on the database.
As the market realizes the true potential and implications of this mechanism, we’re going to see a huge uptick in innovative applications. For instance, companies are already starting to sell real estate NFTs, which means that you can even divide a property into 100 parts and then sell all the NFTs. The ownership will belong to all the holders, who can then get their share of the rent and price appreciation at the time of sale.
2. NFTs are Becoming Part of the Mainstream Culture
Just this month we saw big names like Justin Bieber spend upwards of a million dollars to acquire pieces from the iconic Bored Ape collection. So even though social media celebrities like Gary Vee were the first to join the NFT craze, Hollywood celebrities, sports athletes, and business people from every corner of the world are cashing in on the NFT storm.
However, it’s not just the famous and wealthy that are buying these non-fungible tokens. Whether you walk into the halls of a school or the premises of a networking event for farmers, the one asset that you won’t stop hearing about is the whacky world of NFTs.
When you think about it, it makes perfect because NFTs, unlike traditional art, reflect the rapidly evolving Internet culture and the interconnected world that we live in today. There are tons of small and niche communities, and memes and lighthearted art are the language of this digital-first generation.
This is also why many experts think we’re living in a meme economy, as memes are where our collective attention and the translation of our modern interactions take place. Wherever memes go, the modern consumers follow.
3. NFTs Offer Much More than Profits
You may think that NFTs are all about speculation-driven price actions and making profits. But as we elaborated in the previous point, these assets reflect the modern, fast-paced, and scattered world that we live.
There are lots of niche segments, each with its own individual tastes and preferred phrases and lingo. Mainstream art doesn’t hold the same sway over them as specialized pieces that reflect their side of reality.
As such, NFTs are enabling people to come together and live in a new reality where their passions can be part of their professional commitments. People are able to join communities with shared values and showcase their commitment by acquiring relevant NFTs.
Community and connection are a big part of the NFT revolution, as these assets express the rarest forms of human emotions.
4. NFTs are The New Rolexes and Lamborghinis
It may be hard to admit, but humans find great value in signaling status to other members of the community. Everybody does this. It’s the reason why people want to be the next millionaire and acquire expensive items like luxury watches, supercars, massive mansions, and bespoke highest-end clothing.
At the same time, the digital revolution is kicking in at full speed, as we’re starting the same amount of time in the digital realms as we do in the physical world. In fact, the time spent in virtual worlds is more than physical interactions when you consider all digital device usage.
Furthermore, we’re quickly moving to a time where the metaverse will eventually rise and grip the minds of billions of people from around the world. The pandemic has already shown us that work can be done entirely over the internet, without any need for lifeless commutes and hurtful office politics.
All of this means that the digital world will get more of our attention than the physical world in the coming months and years. But as games like Clash of Clans, World of Warcraft, and Fortnite have shown us, people will happily spend billions of dollars to buy virtual items that will help them stand out in the digital realms.
Since NFTs are likely to be integrated into all facets of digital life, people will naturally pay more and more money to acquire these assets and show them off to their friends.
Don’t Get Left Behind in the Great NFT Revolution

there's a limit on how much you can be an isekai intellectual...
a bunch of analyses have been popping up before me all day so i wanted to throw my hat into the ring. all love to ppl who are exercising their creative minds + ppl like geoff here who just talk about these things because of fan interest but i feel like there reaches a point where exploring the "types" of isekai is pointless? i've seen ppl list out the different types of villainess revenge isekai or fantasy mmorpg isekai but eh why fit them all into separate boxes like that?
i think it's easier to think of isekai as a "type" (genre) of itself with only two categories: 1) a focus on isekai (lit. another world) 2) tensei (lit. to be reborn). this allows for a variety of applications and thus tropes that ppl see so many trends of!
with isekai - in another world
you see everything from:
pure fantasy (inuyasha, digimon wait maybe not the best example but in my childhood mind i count digimon as pure fantasy, fushigi yugi)
mmorpg inspired fantasy/adventure (.hack//legend of twilight, sao ugh, log horizon, overlord (LOVE OVERLORD!)
otome game-esque worlds >>> this is where it gets complicated with "villainess routes" since i admit there are multiple villainess tropes but this is why it's nice to not think of this as a "sub-type/genre" bc it frees you from those complications! (the saint's magic power is omnipotent, the white cat's revenge as plotted from the dragon king's lap soso cute!, the savior's book cafe in another world, i'm a villainous daughter so i'm going to keep the last boss wait i can't remember if she's reborn in this one lmaooo see this is why rules make everything hard)
with tensei storylines - being reincarnated/reborn in another world as *insert character/role*
you see...
the same tropes!!
pure fantasy (a returner's magic should be special, reminiscence adonis, the lady and the beast, light and shadow, i can't think of a manga off the top of my head for this ah)
mmorpg inspired fantasy/adventure (so i'm a spider so what i stan kumoko so hard, her majesty's swarm, can't name another off the top of my head ah i hate lists shorter than two things...)
self-insert based games/novels (fiance's observation log of a self-proclaimed villainess, who made me a princess, death is the only ending for the villainess, the villainess wants to marry a commoner, honestly games vs novels are different applications but i'm not in the headspace to try to remember a bunch of both lol)
*insert line break to give random ppl a break from scrolling but tl; dr just enjoy things for what they are no need to micro analyze*
similar variations occur in both genres (if ppl want to be super technical i guess i'm arguing that isekai itself is a massive genre that has the "another world" subgenre and "reincarnation" subgenre tl; dr) so i think it's honestly a huge pain to try to separate all these trends into so many different types of stories. for me personally it's easier to not get overwhelmed by this gigantic umbrella of "isekai" that spans light novels, manhwa, manga, and mobile games by just stripping each story down into its trademark tropes (aka character archetypes, story structures) and slapping "oh this is a person going to a world that's not ours" and "this person gets reborn as blank in another world". none of this "omg this power fantasy is such a this kind of isekai moment" or "there are 14 different types of villainess revenge stories and this series fits into this" bc AH labels! limitations! circle-jerks via ppl trying to compartmentalize everything and sound smart for leaving a comment on story analysis instead of ooh-ahhing over a character's face! dividing things into light novel manga vs manga vs korean manhwa ft. female characters!
the last bit is mainly why i feel frustrated by ppl's insistence to group everything?
the video linked at the beginning of the post (honestly good video essay, i enjoyed it, i just kept thinking in my head the whole time "marimo these are tropes do not take the genre talk literally") has a baby comment thread talking about "korean isekai manhwas" as a genre featuring nothing but reincarnated villainess' and i can't.
like i cannot acknowledge that as a genre of any sort. the energy i felt reading through some of those insights takes me back to 2012 when all yt americans discovered k-pop and deemed all korean music k-pop from then on! (ppl still do this now, yes you are seen and don't talk to me pls i don't like you. k-pop is korean pop music and nothing less and nothing more. take a few seconds and try to parse apart aspects of korean culture instead of slamming everything into a monolithic label that has the letter k and a hyphen.) it feels so odd to see a bunch of young ppl on ig and tiktok acknowledge korean media that happens to be in the form of a webtoon as "oh stories all about young girls becoming villains in stories they made/played" bc it feels so reductive u.u
(positionality disclaimer that i'm praying isn't actually necessary: i am a 3rd-generation korean of japanese descent do not fite me i am exhausted irl of ppl asking for validation/verification bc massive shove off.)
breaking news! korean manhwa...is just as multifaceted as japanese manga...bc how can comics as an art-form not have multiple genres...huh such a shocker?!?! same likely applies to media in other parts of the world like chinese manhwa and french comics--not my place to explain either of those i just know those industries exist bc of wakfu and donghua shows by Tencent.
at the end of the day it's not like analyzing any kind of isekai is wrong--absolutely not!! i think it can be super fun to think about how isekai elements complicate a story (MCs trying to go back home, ppl from the og world, reincarnation plot-twists) or maybe even bash a series for including some kind of other world element when they could have just written a super fun fantasy.
insert marimo's brief ramble that hey you can get sick of truck-kun's hitting disillusioned guys who happen to be super duper smart or girls who happen to be master chefs/craftsmen but transporting a fully-grown being into a fantasy setting is the ultimate cheat code for making mundane modern technology seem cool and overpowered, and being reincarnated as a fully grown person in a world with a pre-made story/game set-up completely bypasses the need for an author to slowly flesh out world-building in a natural progression so isekai is actually a really smart writing tool it's just that there are some series where the author didn't use it well at all and it's cheesy or clearly isekai was misused as a vehicle for character/story development and it was pointless *DEEP BREATH OUT*
in this essay i will argue...lol i am such a culture studies major!! if i were an english major i would be talking all about writing but here i am having a side-tangent about world-building via someone being reborn wow i love this for me (don't get me started on when an author has someone reincarnate as a baby and the story is mostly them having warm fluffy moments with their family--typically father figures--and getting lots of powers i could and would and probably will rant about east asian toxicity)
but anyway am i crazy????? like yes for being passionate about the technical use of a word like genre (i am a scorpio rising let me be fussy pls) but i don't think it's a lot to ask for ppl to not unironically see "villainess revenge isekai" as the definition of korean manhwa.
idk as someone who resonates with why japanese isekai is so popular domestically + why a lot of korean manhwa feat. the same tropes (it's not for great reasons lads it's actually depressing tbh) i'm just starting to feel kind of pained by the generalization and need to separate "cute japanese girl in an otome game"/"japanese boy finds a harem in another world" from "korean girl dies and comes back as a villainess" bc they are just! applications to the same story device!!
recommendations for any who makes it this far down below <3
// also gladly recommend any of the examples i've listed in the above rant as i've read/watched all of them and adore them v much! //
save me princess
super refreshing fantasy manhwa ft. a princess and her ex-boyfriend having to save the world!
the beginning after the end
an AMERICAN web novel turned into a comic (but see it being not korean/japanese doesn't really matter when you just consider isekai as a genre...isn't it nice to not overthink it?) ft. a super-powerful wizard king reincarnated into another world and starting from scratch--gives mushoku tensei vibes but huge twists!
the reason why raeliana ended up at the duke's mansion
love love LOVE this story--read the title and you'll learn how this girl reincarnated as the character raeliana in a book gets married to a duke!
trash of the count's family
such a good novel!! a guy gets reborn as a lazy oaf and he takes the hero of the story under his wing...plot twists come up later on!
this time i will definitely be happy!
v good and refreshing for a shorter series! she's been reborn 3 times and remembers every time the hero's stabbed her in the back, and now she just wants to break up with him!
silver diamond
older manga but v good adventure w intrigue! a boy who loves plants get sucked into a desert world with demonic lizards and a mysterious bodyguard by his side. shonen-ai not BL but wonderful vibes nonetheless + great side characters!
the princess imprints a traitor
adore everything in this from the world (not in that way this society makes me so angry) to the machinations at play and the dynamic between the fl and ml

Ekphrasis in The Danton Case, Thermidor, and their adaptations
Ekphrasis is invoking a piece of visual media into a literary piece. It can be done for a variety of reasons, from entirely pragmatic (mostly grounding the literature in reality - if the invoked piece is a real piece of art, one you could find in a museum, for example) or more poetic (drawing some symbolic meaning between the piece of art and the idea behind the text).
In Przybyszewska's plays ekphrasis is nonexistent, at least on the foreground. I don't recall any clearly established visual, given to the readers by the original author. It's not weird in any way - how many pieces of medai do you recall which refrain from its sophisticated and additional piece of subtext and iformation? Hundreds, probably. The only other artistic thing that she has weaved into her plays is La Marseillaise, which is invoked twice in The Danton Case. There are also three book references to Othello, Orlando furioso and this one book Robespierre summarizes to Saint-Just when he's talking about hatred (but of which I have no idea if it's a real one - it probably is - or not). Other than that - nothing, plus the books count only a little, forekpfrasis should be, as I said, visual in nature.
Of course, the historical aspect of her works is what grounds them in our reality, and so cleverly, too (seeing as they're not really historical plays in any way or form, but manage to fool most anybody). And thanks to her extensive stage directions, we have no need of any additional element helping us visualize the scenes, for she does it perfectly enough on her own.
However, seein as these are plays calls for a mirror ekpfrastic effect and thus theatrical and cinematographical adapations are born. And they, on the other hand, have a potential to be filled to the brim with visual refernces. Here I would like to have a look at a few, which are taken from one of the most well known staging and the famous Wajda movie (plus some). In no particular order, there goes:
Tumblr media
This is the very first scene of a controversial theatre adaptation of The Danton Case. Instead on portraying Robespierre as a firm leader, who only in the very end collapsed temporarily under the huge responsibility he now had to bear, the director decided to portray him as someone physically weak, not in the sense Danton meant when he called him a weakling, but in the sense of somebody who already bears so much responsibility, pain, physical ailments, doubts and whatnot. Just: everything, everythin a human could possible deal with, he deals with, and has to do so in a way that doesn't make people suspiscious about his "shortcomings". There is a interesting parallel between him and Saint-Just, whose upright and unbreakeable character is symbolised by a neck braces, something which people wear after a spine endangering accidents - and incidentally, wasn't it Saint-Just who accused Robespierre of "breaking his spine"? But not in this adaptation, oh no - here their very last scene is cut extremely short and they recite the last few sentences along with some Thermidor lines as two floating heads, a vision into the future which awaits them.
Enough about Saint-Just, though, let's focus on Robespierre and Marat. I must admit I know next to nothing about him, only what some passage here and there in this or that historical study might tell me, but I know, as does everybody, that he was known as L'ami du Peuple, which is why of the reasons, I think, why the director took this image and transposed it onto Robespierre: to make him even more likeable, to show for the umpteenth time that it is Robespierre whom we should cheer on and whom we should feel sorry for. This might also be a parallel between their both's tarnished health, their premature deaths and - last but not least - the role of an icon of the Rvolution both of them play in nowadays' audience's minds. You don't have to study history to knowwho Robespierre was, you don't have to study art to know this painting. Even if you don't agree with some more in-depth explanation of linking this person to this painting, it is a good opening image. It captures our attention in a good way.
Tumblr media
I had mention Saint-Just and there he is, in the background of the picture, symbolically assisting Danton and his clique in their last moments. Instead of shwoign them in torn shirts, the director went into another direction altogether and enshrouded them in white sheets from heads to toes, making them all look like very stereotypical ghosts, whom they will all become in just a couple of moments.
In Polish culture, the first thing that comes to mind when talking about ghosts is Dziady, an old slavic tradition that is now replaced with the Catholic All Souls Eve. Dziady is no longer, apart from perhaps some small minorities who still practice old pagan faiths, but as a ritual, they are immortalised in a play by Adam Mickiewicz, undoubtedly the greatest Polish poet ever. Everybody know this play, some scens - by heart, and they were and are being staged pretty much constantly from one point on. Needless to say, they inspire a lot of art, and I decided to show this very fmous poster by the most famous Polish poster designer, Franciszek Starowieyski…
Tumblr media
…who is important in this case, because he played David in Wajda's movie.
Not many people know - because his other carreer overshadowed by a lot his first one - that Wajda was a painter. Who actually hated his art, some of his pieces are in the national museum of contemporary art in Łódź alongside stars such as Władysław Strzemiński (the hero of Wajda's very last movie), which is a fact he absolutely detested. I dont know, nor do I care, why was that, because what matters is his previous education as an artist at the very least helped him not only to envision the visuals of the movie, but also acquainted him with great works of art. On which he could model this or that setup. I think it's a nice little detail he catsed Starowieyski as David, a real painter acting as another real painter, it adds a layer of reality onto the movie, and presumably makes for a more natural acting in the few scenes he was in his studio (I also think they look alike).
Tumblr media
Speaking of David's studio, I once stumbled upon a lecture which drew parallels between some scenes in the movie and some paitings, which was mostly focused on character and costume design, and truth be told didn't contribute much to the overall watching experience of Danton. However, I must admit the lecturer had a very good eye in this one particular case, in which he pointed out that this quick shot in David's studio pretty obviously invokes the Fussli's The Artist's Despair Before The Grandeur Of Ancient Ruins. I don't think it's a coincidence (or at the very least, would be funny if it were) this shot is shown during the scene where Robespierre starts to grasp at desperate measures to save the country/save his own face in the trial. It is an artist's despair, only artist of a different kind. And it is a despair when being faced with a (possible) ruin of something great, even if its greatness is not yet formed, as opposed to the greatness passed.
Tumblr media
The very last example I was able to think of was this photo I found of The Danton Case from 1975. It is one of those old, very classical (I presume) adaptations, which are mostly filled to the brim with riddiculosly attractive people and very often deliberately drew from other sources of artistry, like the one pictured above. No matter what the real relationship between Louise Danton and her husband was, in the play it is portrayed as something atrocious, and I cringe whenever directors try to make it something else without good reasons for doing so, so I am very glad in the past at least they stuck with classicaly depicted acts of violation against women, not because it is a violation, but because in the classical stories (like the myth of Persephone shown in the sculpture above) the woman will usually get her revenge. Just like Przybyszewska's Louison did.
Thank you for bearing with me until the end, and if you have any other examples of this come to your mind, I compel you to share them with me!
List of pieces of art in the order of their appearance:
Jacques-Louis David, The Death of Marat
Franciszek Starowieyski, Dziady
Jacques-Louis David, Self-portrait
Heinrich Fussli, The Artist's Despair Before The Grandeur Of Ancient Ruins
Gianlorenzo Bernini, The Rape Of Persephone
