Quick oneshot idea? Scenario?

Mary who kisses her friends on the forehead, cheek or nose. She is the type to kiss you as a welcome and as a goodbye. Once she has a crush though she gives all her affection to them, or at least most of it. Her crushing on lily but thinking 'oh lily is straight and I'm not very LGBT passing'

Right, now imagine her leaning down to kiss Lily's nose/forehead before heading out and lily who has her nose stuck in a book ends up looking up at Mary because she assumes she had something to say only to accidentally make them kiss. There's a small pause before Mary kinda just walks out of the common room, lily is sitting there stunned her book falls to the floor with a thud.

Hoping to update later today, but I'm helping a friend move so it might be tomorrow, but here a fun little sneak peak 🖤

Lily tried to sit up but was pulled back down by her wife. “Can’t this wait until breakfast? Or at least after coffee?” Mary complained, “My head is killing me.” 

“There is some already downstair.” James replied, “Hypothetically, if you turned someone down for a blow job because everyone was drinking and emotions were high, and now they were mad, what would you do?” 

There was a rather long pause before anyone spoke.“He does know that he is talking to his lesbian friends right? We might not be the best one for blow job advice.” Mary’s head pops up, looking over at Lily.

“I think he knows.” She giggled.

“Actually, I know that at least one of you have—”

Mary held up her hand, “Nope, I don’t want to know. Potter, eyes.” 

James shut his eyes, covering them with his hands as an extra measure. There was a distinct shuffling as Mary crawled out of bed, and padded around the room looking for clothes, muttering under her breath.

“Can you bring me some coffee please?” Lily asked sweetly.

“Me too.” James grinned, “If your coming back up anyway.”

“She’s flipping you off.” Lily said in a mock whisper.

“I’ll leave that job to your wife!” James rebutted. Mary made a discussed noise, her footsteps disappearing down the hall. 

James peeked between his fingers, “Is it safe now?”

“All clear.” Lily propped her head up on her arm, “Now what were you saying about blow jobs?” 

“Ah, yes.” James pulled back the sheeting, crawling onto the rather small bed beside her, and facing towards her. “So Blowjobs.”

My opinion

People say the reason that I hate Jily is because I ship Jegulus which is not true. I dont ship it because in my heart she is a lesbian that is what i believe. Lily was always different Petunia hated her and called her a freak her own sister who she loved her parents did not understand her and at school she was called a mudblood and bullied because of it. Everyone was expecting her to date James Potter but she spent 7 years rejecting him not because he bullied snape although it might be part of something but because she was lesbian and she already had a lot of people who hated her. Her one long time friend stabbed her in the back while she was trying to help him and called her a mudblood. So I think she married James because she knew that he would stay unlike everyone else in her life

why i prefer jegulus to jily

1. this is probably my main reason— lily isn’t the kind of person to publicly dislike someone for years and then one day just go huh. he’s not as bad as i thought? omg let’s get married! it just seemed kinda forced—like some of jkr’s other heterosexual relationships *cough* remadora and hinny *cough*

2. also (it’s not a canon event but most of the fandom has accepted it as canon) james repeatedly asking lily out doesn’t sit right with me. he’d respect her when she said no and wouldn’t constantly pester her. he’s not that kinda person (in fanon anyways)

2. jeggy’s dynamics? hello? rivals/ enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother, grumpy x sunshine, thinks he’s unlovable vs loves everyone— i could go on and on

3. jegulus’s ANGST. its never fails to rip my soul out, tear it to shreds, set it on fire then put it back into my chest and do it all over again. i’m not saying jily isn’t also heartbreaking— it 100% is. but jegulus is just UGH.

4. also there’s so much comedic potential with jegulus. sirius’s reaction? gets me every time. tie swapping? hell yes. slytherin vs gryffindor quidditch matches but they’re just checking each other out? GIVE IT TO ME

5. platonic jily is one of the best friendships in the fandom imo. they’d be that duo that had like a month-long relationship but are now just friends and get super embarrassed whenever it’s brought up. especially because i hc lily as a lesbian and that’s just the cherry on top
