In the bustling chaos of corporate life, where stress reigns supreme the last thing you want to do is mix business and your personal life. It only ever ended in disaster.
When you’d first moved to National City, you’d never imagined just a few short months later you’d be working directly under the city’s most prevenient businesswoman. Lena Luthor was a force to be reckoned with. It was a miracle you’d gotten the position of her assistant at all, your CV was sharp, but it wasn’t anything to be in awe of so when you’d got the call that you’d received the job it was safe to say she was over the moon.
It taken a little while to warm up to you. She’d been a rather cold at first. Not that you could blame her of course, given her family history. However slowly but surely you found her opening up more to you, building up her trust gradually. In the meantime, whilst she’d grown to depend on your assistance, you payed close attention and slowly learnt her tells. You knew when Lena was upset, she’d get that little crinkle in her brows or that when she was anxious, she’d gently bite the left corner of her lip. Infact you’d become so observant of her habits and body language that sometimes you knew how she was feeling before she’d register the emotions herself.
One particularly hectic day in the bustling office, the air thick with tension, you noticed Lena pacing nervously in her office. The telltale signs were there – the crinkle in her brows, the subtle lip-biting – Lena was clearly on edge about the upcoming meeting with a major client.
Truth to told, seeing her like this made you feel anxious as well. How could someone as powerful and accomplished as Lena get so nervous? You’dhad never seen her like this before, and it was almost like seeing a completely different person.
You had to help.
You knocked gentle on the door, clearing your throat quietly to announce your presence, “Miss Luthor?”
A wave of relief washed over Lena as she heard your voice calling through the door. This meeting had been weighing heavily on her mind, and she was desperate to find some way to relax before it started.
“You know you can call me Lena.” She smiled and nodded for you to enter.
You stepped into the room and approached Lena with the gentle warmth and confidence that always radiated from you. She found herself walking over to you, looking at you deeply before taking a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. You took her closeness as a chance to reach out to squeeze her shoulder and when she didn’t object, you softly applied pressure to her muscles.
“Fuck.” She let the curse split out involuntarily before trying to regain herself, “Do you need something from me?”
“You’re tense, let me help?” You mumbled softly to which she nodded. Your touch was like a balm for her. As you began subtly massaging Lena's shoulders, the tension began to subside, and her frown faded away, you let your hand slide down to her wrist, holding it gently as you pulled her over to the pristine sofa at the other side of her office, “Come, sit.”
"Thank you." Lena took a deep breath and sunk into the seat. She could feel the stress and anxiety that had been weighing heavily on her began to melt away. She turned her head toward you and smiled softly, letting out a sigh of relief. Lena gave in and allowed herself to sink deep into your warm embrace. With her worries temporarily relieved, she closed her eyes and began to enjoy the feeling of your hands working away at her tension.
Leaning in, you reached to place a comforting hand on her thigh, feeling the subtle tension in her muscles. You had no intention’s behind the action. Your touch was light, meant to reassure rather than intrude. But Lena’s eyes slowly opened and cast over to meet yours, her emerald green iris's seemingly sparkling with a new found feeling.
It was obvious she was a little surprised by the gesture, but there was a moment of pause. She tried to be professional, but her body was responding positively to the touch.
The feeling was both calming and exciting, sending a shiver of desire down her spine, the creeping onset on desire making her leg’s bounce nervously.
She looked into your eyes and saw the unmistakable spark of attraction between the pair of you. Of course she’d noticed your lokg glances before and she wasn’t ashamed to say she’d given you some the day you’d left her office when you’d interviewed for the position. Her previous tension was soon replaced with a subtle feeling of arousal, and she couldn't help but crave more.
"Could you...keep going?" she whispered, words shaking through her soft yet overwhelming sensual voice - filled with desire.
“You mean?” Your voice was quiet as you very slowly moved your hand up her thigh, waiting for to confirm her consent, “Is this okay? I need to hear you say it Lena.”
"Keep going," Lena whispered. Her voice was raspy from the tension, but there was no mistaking the excitement in her voice. She wanted you to keep touching her. She craved it. Soaked in the intimacy of your touch. "Please..."
The feeling of your hand gliding over her thighs was intoxicating, sending shivers of arousal through her body. You teased her lightly, fingers reaching her line of her panties. You could hardly fight back your own growing blush at the feeling of the wet fabric. Lena let out a soft moan as you softly ran your finger around her entrance – she was so sensitive. Her eyes closed once again as she leaned back into the couch, surrounding herself to your touch.
Your touch was intoxicating. You kept it light, but your slow strokes were sending her body into ecstasy. Lena's breaths grew shallow as she leaned toward you, her lips meeting yours in an intimate kiss.
"Don't stop," she whispered against your lips, her body urging you to keep going as you edged her sodden clit, rubbing circles as her back arched involuntarily.
“I wasn’t planning on it.” You whispered back with a husky tone as your fingers continued to work their magic on her. You could feel the heat radiating off her body, adding to the intoxicating atmosphere. Your touch became firmer, getting closer to her core, making sure every stroke and tease was intense. You were doing your job finely, the way she moaned into your mouth was driving you wild with validation, knowing you were making her feel good. Truely you were completely under her control, willing to do anything she desired - anything to please her.
With each passing moment, the lust between you both grew more intense, fuelling your passion. Both your excitement only grew with every teasing touch and feather-light kiss. You knew she enjoyed the buildup of anticipation just as much as you did. In the heat of the moment, time seemed to stand still as you lost yourself to the moment.
Your hand never stopped tracing along her sensitive folds as Lena’s moans grew louder, encouraging you to continue. She kissed you again and the kiss deepened as she pushed against you, urging you to take control. Her body ached for you as you pressed your fingers against her entrance, playing with her and teasing her. You held her deep in your embrace, feeling her shudder helplessly, her body giving into yours as you continued to stroke her. Finally, you gave into the inevitable and pushed inside, finally giving her the release, she craved.
Lena writhed beneath you, gasping for breath as you drove her toward climax. She muscles were tight against your fingers and you couldnt feel your hand going a little numb from how hard her thighs were squeezed together. She kept her hands clenched in your hair as you felt her body convulsing beneath yours. She moaned, high desperate sounds before finally, with a shudder of ecstasy, she peaked. Her back arching helplessly as she reached her climaxed under your guide.
Once she’d caught her breath, you carefully pulled out of her, making sure to be gentle against her sensitivities. You stroked her hair tenderly, feeling her body begin to relax against you as she came down down from her high.
"Do you feel better now?" you asked her, as she leaned back against you, still breathing heavily from the experience.
Lena sighed softly, a satisfied smile on her face, “So much better," she replied, her voice still light and breathless from the rush "Thank you for helping me relax.”
You brushed your fingers across her cheek, lingering for a beat. The intimacy of the moment was intoxicating, the shared look of pleasure and satisfaction. You couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it than just stress relief. As your head wandered the clouds, you didn’t notice Lena fixing her hair, tying it back in a tight ponytail.
She checked her watch, seemingly debating something for a moment before her voice pulled you back down to reality, “I think we’ve got just enough time.” She said, sitting back down against you, pulling on of your legs over hers, opening you up.
“Enough time for what?”
Lena smirked mischievously, tugging at the edge of your skirt. “For me to return the favour...”

That had been the first of many times you’d helped her relax. It had become a sort of ritual really. Whenever she’d have a big meeting or important event coming up, she’d come to you to help her unwind. Truthfully the first it’d happened; it had taken you a few days to really process it all. The experience had changed you. You couldn’t just see her as your boss anymore. She was more than that. Lena had always had a stunning body of course but now it was almost as if though you couldn’t keep her eyes off her.
The ways her hips curved had you weak in the knees, it wasn’t just her physical attributes though. It was everything, the weak she spoke, the way she held herself. It was intoxicating. Safe to say you were happy to lend a hand whenever needed. Maybe you could’ve kept this up forever, helping her out without a second thought – she was still your boss after all. But this latest time had changed something in you.
It had started off in its usual way, you’d seen the meeting scheduled on the calendar and let yourself into her office – the two of you were way past knocking now. Lena knew what was about to happen, she’d been waiting for it.
As you entered her office, Lena didn't waste any time before pulling you closer to her. You felt the heat and need radiating off of her as she kissed you passionately, her hands moving greedily over your body. You moaned as she pushed you up against the desk, her mouth hot against your neck.
Suddenly, she pulled back, looking at you with a predatory glint in her eyes. "Do you know what I want to do to you?" she whispered, her voice low with desire as her tender fingers danced down the front of your shirt - making a show out of unbuttoning them.
As she spoke, Lena left the kiss and moved down your body with purpose, her lips and tongue leaving a trail of heat and anticipation down your torso. Your hands found her hair, pulling it as if to guide her further where you wanted her. But the CEO had plans of her own. She knew what she wanted and she wanted it now, right this moment. So much so that she hadn’t even bothered closing her office door.
Without warning, she pushed your shoulders down, forcing you to sit on her desk. Lena smirked, moving in to kiss you deeply, so deep that it left you chasing her lips as she pulled away. Without a pause, she pushed your legs apart and planted herself between them, her eagerness so apparent it sent a shiver of desire right through you.
You could feel her looking up at you as she kissed through the fabric of your panties, her hands moving to stroke and soothe wherever they could reach.
You couldn't help but moan now, one hand coming to grip her hair and the other gripping the edge of the desk with such force that your knuckles turned white. You were helpless to resist as Lena worked her way deeper, your grip became more frenzied, less able to control yourself.
It hadn’t taken long before your panties had been pulled down and Lena was happily satisfying herself on your clit whilst you slowly grinded against her face, desire driving you wild.
Then something suddenly caught your attention. You heard someone in the hall…
You tried to voice this but through your whimpers, not much was articulated. Despite this, Lena didn't even flinch when she’d heard them, seemingly not bothered by the accompanying approaching footsteps.
Instead, she kept going, her tongue working magic on you as she held your hips steady with one hand. You could hear people talking just outside the open door, but Lena didn't seem to care. In fact, it seemed to turn her on even more - the thrill of getting caught.
You tried to stifle your moans, but it was impossible with Lena's skilled mouth on you. Your body was writhing on the edge of the desk, your toes curling as the pleasure built and built. And still, she didn't stop.
Lena never broke eye contact with you as she continued to work her tongue and lips over your pussy, sending you further and further into ecstasy. The sounds of voices in the hallway were drowned out by your moans, which the Luthor seemed to be enjoying immensely.
She added a couple of fingers inside you, curling them just right to hit your sweet spot, and you felt your body convulse in response. You couldn't hold back anymore, and you came hard, your body shaking with the force of it.
Lena didn't stop, though; she kept going, licking and sucking until you were overstimulated and sensitive. Finally, she stood up, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand as she grinned down at you.
“You’re so fucking hot.” She laughed, the sound of her voice sending shivers down your spine again.
Your cheeks blushed crimson as you cleaned yourself up, “Do you want me-” You took a step forward but stopped when she held out her hand, shaking her head as she fixed her hair.
“I just wanted you darling, nothing more. Now if you’ll excuse me. I’ve got a meeting to attend too.”
With that Lena smoothed out the crease in her skirt before heading out the door, leaving you to catch your breath, still perched upon her table.
Darling?
The pet name replayed over and over in your head as the day passed by. You couldn’t stop thinking about her, about these sessions.
It wasn’t just about favours anymore. It felt like she had wanted you. You’d wanted her. God you’d been trying so hard to ignore the fact you’d crave her touch when you were alone. It had gotten to the point where you’d started to miss simply being around her. In fact you’d started coming in earlier and leaving later just to be near her. But you had tried to ignore it. Dammit! Why couldn’t you stop thinking about it!
The rational part of your brain was telling you to pull back, to remind yourself that her actions were just physical and didn't mean anything more. But the other part of you, the part that craved the closeness and heat of your body wanted her for more. You wanted to feel more than just the pleasure of their bodies. You wanted to build a connection, a partnership. You wanted more.
Oh shit... You wanted love.
The realisation had made you sick. What you wanted could never happen. You knew Lena’s life; it was busy and packed. She didn’t have time for something solid. It was why your little favours had worked so well. You’d kept each other going. You could hardly tell her that you wanted more.
Goddamn it!
゚: ・゚: ゚・
The ringing it your ears hadn’t really faded since you’d realised. You’d called out of work the past 2 days; you couldn’t bring yourself to look at her. Her eyes were a tease, a reminder of what you couldn’t have. Instead, you’d stayed home, trying to wrap your head around all the feelings swirling round in your head, your rapid thoughts never seemed to slow down long enough for you to process them.
You were in love with Lena Luthor.
You were in love with your boss…
Casual sex! That was all it was meant to be, no, no, no! How could you let yourself fall like this?
In all honesty, it felt like you were grieving. Grieving something you could never have. Something forbidden. It was awful.
You felt like shit. It had taken most of your energy to make the treacherous journey from your bed to the sofa - there was no point getting dressed. It wasn’t like you were going to work today anyway. You couldn’t bare the thought of facing her, the thought of it ate you up inside.
As you lay on your sofa, consumed by the weight of your emotions, a knock on the door suddenly startled you. You contemplated just ignoring it, hoping whoever it is will just get the hint, go away and leave you alone. However, the knocking persists, growing louder and more insistent with each rap.
With a heavy sigh, you dragged yourself off the sofa and reluctantly opened the door. To your surprise, it was Lena standing there. A concerned expression etched across her face. Her usual confident demeanor seemed softened by genuine worry.
"Lena?" you mumbled, your voice barely above a whisper.
She stepped inside without waiting for an invitation, scanning the disarrayed room. "I've been trying to reach you for days. What's going on? Why haven't you been at work?”
Lena's concerned gaze met yours, and you could sense the weight of unspoken questions in her eyes. Your throat tightened, grappling with the words you hadn't dared to say.
"I... I just needed some time to think," you admitted, avoiding direct eye contact with her, staring hard at the floor, "Things have... changed.”
Her brow furrowed as she took in the gravity of your words. "Changed how?"
You hesitated, then let out a defeated sigh, "I can't keep doing this, Lena. Us. Secretly fucking each other at work just because we can. I don’t want to just be someone of the side anymore, I want to be more than that."
There was a moment of silence as Lena processed your words. Tension hung heavy over the room, a silence so thick you could’ve slice it with a knife, and you wondered if you had just ruined whatever fragile arrangement existed between you.
Finally, Lena spoke up, her soft voice wavering as she spoke, "More? What do you mean?"
"I mean..." You paused, gathering your courage. "I want a real relationship, Lena. Not just these secret little rendezvous we keep having. Lena, I want something genuine."
Her eyes searched yours, and for a moment, you saw a flicker of vulnerability. "I didn't think... I didn't know you wanted that," she admitted, her usual confidence waning.
"I do," You nodded slowly, affirming your words, "I can't keep pretending that this is enough for me. I want more than just physical connection; I want an emotional one too."
Lena took a hesitant step closer, the distance between you diminishing. "I thought we were both on the same page, I thought-.”
"No, Lena, I can't do this anymore," you repeated, the weight of your unspoken desires finally finding a voice, “I can’t keep pretending I’m fine with this anymore. I’m sorry but I just can’t.”
Lena's expression shifted, torn between conflicting emotions. The room hung in suspended silence, waiting for her response.
Lena’s eyes softened, and a vulnerable smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "I never realised how much you wanted this," she admitted, a hint of regret in her voice. "Maybe I've been too guarded, too afraid to admit it to myself…”
You felt a mix of relief and hope as Lena continued, “I'd think I’d like to try a real relationship too…”
There it was. The sentence that changed your life. You had a chance with Lena and you weren’t going to let it pass you by. Maybe this time, mixing your business and personal life wouldn’t end in disaster after all… even if it was horribly unprofessional.

“Lena I don’t want to hear it!” You growled the words as your girlfriend tried to explain why she had been home so late. This wasn’t the first time it had happened. You knew how she struggled with communicating or losing track of her work sometimes but this was different. She had promised go be home on time. She had promised to share the evening together with you, like you’d planned. She had promised to make the anniversary of your relationship special.
It didn’t matter now anyway. The dinner you’d made sat untouched on the table, stone cold. You didn’t even want to hear her reasoning for being late. You already knew in at heart. She’d gotten caught up in her work and had simply forgotten. Thats how it always went.
In the tense silence that followed, Lena's eyes pleaded for understanding, but you couldn't bring yourself to soften. Frustration and disappointment lingered in the air, wrapping around both of you like an unwelcome shroud. As you stood there, the weight of unmet expectations pressed on your shoulders. The room felt like it was growing hotter. Getting smaller. Everything seemed to sway and swoon as your vision hazed in and you out of focus. You needed some fresh air and you needed it now.
You stormed out of the apartment, the door slamming shut behind you - not even bothering to grab a jacket. The cool night air hit your face, providing a momentary relief from the stifling tension inside. Your mind raced with a mix of anger, hurt, and confusion. As you walked the dimly lit streets, you found yourself at a nearby park, seeking solace under the stars. Looking up at the unknown was always something that relaxed you. The endless possibilities of space. At heart you knew it wasn’t Lena’s fault entirely. She’d come home exhausted just last week as a result of the stress work had been causing her but it just hurt when her work got in the way of your personal lives.
The distant rumble of thunder interrupted your thoughts, and as you looked up at the night sky, raindrops began to fall. The gentle drizzle soon turned into a steady rain, drenching you in seconds. The cool water on your face felt strangely soothing. It was a good kind of cold.
However even the rain seemed to turn on you as you shivered involuntarily and giving a reluctant sigh, you decided to finally head back home. The rain soaked through your clothes as you hurried back, each step feeling heavier than the last. By the time you reached your apartment, you were drenched and exhausted. The door creaked open, revealing the aftermath of your heated argument. It was quiet inside. Lena had most likely retreated to the bedroom into the bedroom. But you were unwilling to face the bedroom just yet, so instead you settled on the living room sofa. It wasn’t warm nor did you have a blanket but sneaking into the bedroom to grab a change of clothes wasn’t exactly something you were eager to do.
Instead you curled up on the sofa, trying to ignore the uncomfortable sensation of the wet clothes against your cold skin. Turning over you let your head fall onto one of the pillows and you shut your eyes, hoping to slip into a peaceful sleep.
The next morning, you awoke with a heavy head and a throat that felt like it had been scraped with sandpaper. The remnants of last night's argument lingered in your mind, but they were overshadowed by the unmistakable signs of an impending illness. Stupid rain. Stupid cold. Stupid lack of a jacket! With a groan, you dragged yourself out of the makeshift bed on the sofa, your body protesting every movement as forced yourself to get dressed for work.
Despite the creeping heat of an uncoming fever seeping through your body, you trudged into the DEO, determined to fulfill your responsibilities as a agent there.
Colleagues shot concerned glances your way, but you brushed them off with a forced smile. The familiar hum of the high-tech agency felt louder than usual, pounding against your throbbing head.
As you attempted to focus on your tasks, the overhead intercom crackled to life. "Agent Y/L/N, report to Director Danvers' office immediately," the stern voice echoed through the facility causing you to grumble in annoyance as you pushed yourself up stumbled towards Alex's office.
Upon entering, you found yourself friend sitting at her drsk, concern etched across her face. "You look terrible," she remarked, her voice a mix of sympathy and scolding. "I've already called Lena. She'll pick you up. You need to go home and rest. You can’t work like this.”
“Ale-“ You couldn’t even begin to sigh her name before you were interrupted with a rough throat scraping cough, “Why did you-“
She raised a stern eyebrow before pulling a bottle of water out from her drawer and sliding it over the desk towards you, “That’s exactly why. I’m not just telling you this as your boss but as your friend. You’re sick. You need to go home. This is not an option.” You knew Alex’s stern voice and this was definitely it. There really was no point arguing with her, she was the director after all.
Lena didn’t take long to arrive. Less than 10 minutes which was very impressive given the traffic at this hour. All it took was one look at you sitting slumped in Alex’s office, your exhausted drooping eyes looking up at her as a box of tissues sat open in your lap to make her heart melt.
Your girlfriend was by your side in an instant, concern etched across her face. "How did this happen?" She crouched down, brushing a gentle hand over your forehead, her keen eyes not missing the subtle way you tensed beneath her touch.
The weight of the previous night's argument lingered in the air, but the genuine worry in Lena's expression softened the edges of the tension between you. She spoke with a gentle tone, "You should have told me you weren't feeling well, darling. I hate seeing you like this."
You managed a weak smile, appreciating Lena's concern despite the strained circumstances. "I didn't want to bother you. Besides, we had enough on our plates with everything - last night - already."
Lena shook her head, her fingers brushing through your hair comfortingly. "You're never a bother to me. We're in this together, remember?" She glanced up at Alex, who had been pretending to make herself busy in order to not intrude on your conversation, "I'll take her home, Thanks for looking out for her."
Alex nodded, her stern facade softening. "Always. Now you two ake care of each other. And Y/N, don't come back until you're fully recovered. That’s an order. I’ll come round tomorrow to check in if you’re feeling up to it.” She smiled over at you.
Lena helped you up, offering a supportive arm as you made your way out of the DEO. The car ride home was quiet at first, both of you lost in your thoughts. Lena finally spoke, breaking the silence, "I'm sorry, Y/N. I know I messed up last night, and I should have been there for you."
You sighed, leaning your head against the car window. The cool glass working wonders to soothe your pounding temples. “I overreacted, Lena. It wasn't just about last night. It's this constant struggle with your work taking precedence over us. I miss us, Lena, and I just want to find a balance." You sniffled.
Lena's grip on the steering wheel tightened, and she took a deep breath. "I promise, Y/N, I'll make it up to you. We'll figure this out together. I love you, and I don't want us to keep hurting each other like this."
As she parked the car, you both sat in almost silence for a moment. The rain from the previous night was still pattering down, drumming against the windows as it filled the car with its steady thrum. Lena turned to you, her eyes sincere, "Let's take care of you first. We can talk about this more later, okay? You’re the most important thing to me right now and right now what you need to be is looked after. So that’s what I’m going to do.”

Y/n: Good morning, thank you.
Lena: I have a day off today as promised. So, what are you up to? Where do you wanna go? I'm going to take you anywhere. Shopping? Hiking? Cycling? Visits? No work, just a day with my wife.
Y/n: That is so thoughtful of you, love, but I just want to stay at home and get fuck by you.
Lena: We can do that too! Definitely and totally! Should I take tomorrow off too? I love you.

Lena Luthor x Fem!R//Word Count: 2,105
-------------------------------------------------------
Loud knocks on your door woke you up from your fever dream.
You opened your eyes, grunting as you felt your body ache, and turned to look at the digital clock on the nightstand next to your bed. By squinting your eyes you managed to make it was a bit pass midday and wondered who was at your door at such unfortunate time. You had been feeling sick since last night. It was probably something you ate, although you couldn't remember eating anything bad or spoiled. Your stomach was hurting, accompanied with nausea and a fever that didn't go away despite the couple of pills you had downed before going to bed, hoping they would make you feel better the next day. You lifted your covers with heavy arms and tried to sit on your bed, doing it as slowly as possible as you realized you were feeling the same.
You heard the knocking again and sighed as you left the bed to answer the door. However, the face that greeted you at the door was one you didn't expect.
"Hi!" Lena smiled widely as you swung the door open but soon her expression changed to one of worry as she noticed you were paler than milk. "(Y/N)?"
"Hey." You managed to say with a short breath and a little smile as her hands raised to cup your face. "What are y-"
"Oh my god, you're burning." She put the palm of her hand on your forehead and looked at you with a frown. "Have you been like this the whole morning?"
"Uh…" You let her take your hand to drag you inside your own apartment and frowned a bit in confusion after the door closed behind you. "Lena, what are you doing here?"
"Well, after you texted us yesterday you were feeling a bit sick, I wanted to check upon you." She took you by the shoulders and sat you carefully on the couch.
She had been worried all morning, trying to text you. If Lena knew something about you was that you would rather be all though about it than ask for help until it got worse. So, when you didn't answer, she started to fear you would retreat to your apartment, as you usually did, until all your discomforts magically passed.
You sat with a little thud, letting your body fall on it with all your weight and groaned. You complained a bit as she put two fingers on your wrist to check your pulse and looked at you intently from eye to eye.
"Have you eaten?"
"No." You observed as she did her own check up. "I don't have the stomach right now."
"Since when haven't you eaten?"
"Lena, what are you doing?" You took her hands in yours and sighed. "I'm sure it's just a stomachache. You don't have to worry. It will pass."
The look Lena gave you next made you reconsider your whole life. You had never felt as scowled as you felt right there, with Lena looking you with severe eyes, her tilted head and a raised eyebrow.
"(Y/N), you're looking like the dead. You have a fever, haven't eating since God knows when, you look in pain. So, I'm calling you a doctor right now."
You shut your mouth after that. No amount of complaining was going to make Lena change her opinion and you knew her too well to even try it. However, you felt bad about it and tried it anyways. She didn't have to waste the day with you while feeling like that.
"Lena, you really don't have to." You said as she took her phone out of her purse. "I took a few pills yesterday, and I'll stay te rest of the day in bed. I'll be fine."
"Tell me that once you get some color back, darling." She smiled softly at you and talked to the phone once the call connected. "Alright, thank you, yes, I'll send you the address."
You shivered a bit, having spent so much time out of the cover of your bed was making you feel cold.
"The doctor will be here in twenty minutes." She said as she noticed the subtle tremble of your body. "C'mon, I'll take you to bed."
She put her phone on the back pocket of her jeans and took your hands in hers once again.
"Oh, to hear those words in another circumstances…" You sighed heavily with a little smile as she pulled you up and let you lean against her for support.
She chuckled. "Try to get better and then we'll talk about it."
You reached your bedroom and walked you to the edge of the bed, making sure you didn't fall. You looked weak and by the little grimaces your face was making she knew you felt more pain than you had initially let her see. She pushed you down slowly, arranging your pillows below your head and throwing the bed sheets above you. You shivered with the slight breeze fo them and closed your eyes.
"Stay here and don't move too much." Lena caressed your forehead with her fingertips and moved from the edge of your bed. In a movement that was quicker than you thought you were capable of, you grabbed her wrist. She was about to turn when she came to a halt as she felt your grip on her and turned to look at you.
"Thank you." You said in a low voice and a smile on your lips.
She returned the smile and placed a quick kiss on your forehead. You let go of her after that and shifted to a more comfortable position on your bed as you watched her leave your room.
The was a warm felling in your chest, despite the cold in your body. Against your first complaints about it, you were grateful Lena had decided to come see you. You couldn't imagine having to spend the whole day alone with the pain and although you had thought about seeing a doctor later in the evening, you didn't think you had the strength to get out of your house. In all honestly, you would have been glad to roll in to a ball and sleep, at least for the day. But Lena, sweet, caring Lena, wasn't going to have any of that.
Minutes later she came into your room once again, carrying a cup of tea in one hand and a bowl with ice and water on the other. You noticed the piece of cloth that hanged from her arm as she left the containers on your nightstand. She took the cloth from her arm, dipped it in the cold water and folded it to put it on your forehead. You shook your head a bit at the contact.
"Sorry, too cold?" She sat on the bed, on the empty space next to you.
"A bit." You hummed with your eyes closed.
"Hang on, it's just while the doctor comes." She pressed the palm of her hand on the cloth and then frowned with worry. "I think it might be an infection."
"Just because you have two PhD's doesn't mean you're an actual doctor, miss Luthor." You joked and smiled a little.
"Lucky for you, otherwise I'd have called an ambulance and sent you to the ICU already." You chuckled but regretted it immediately after feeling pain in your abdomen due to the spasms of your laughter. You could heard her smile when she replied. "You had it coming."
The doctor came and did a whole check up on you. She asked about your eating habits, what you had eating the day before, the pills you had taken to help with the fever and the pain, asked you to sit at the edge of the bed, to open your mouth wide and took your temperature. The doctor did the whole routine and at the end of it gave the reason to Lena.
"Well, it's definitely an infection." The doctor said as she scribbled on her prescription block. "I'm giving you something for the pain and the fever. Try to say hydrated as much as you can, stay away from anything too irritating for your stomach and try to eat food that's easy to digest. I'll write some of what you can and cannot eat."
The doctor smiled at you as she tore the sheet from her block moments later and gave it to Lena.
"Make sure she follows it to the letter and she will be as good as new."
Lena read the note and asked some follow up questions as she escorted the doctor to your door. You waited for Lena as you massaged your forehead with a hand. You hated being sick.
"I'll go buy these later." Lena entered your room moments later and waved your prescription in her hand. "Seems you will have to be on a diet in the meantime."
You grunted at the thought. "I've to see if there's still anything edible for me in the fridge."
"I'll take care of that too." She left the prescription on your nightstand and put her hands on your shoulders to help you lay back again on the bed. "Don't worry."
"Lena, I can't let you do all that." You raised your hands to her arms, stopping her from pushing you to the bed, and looked at her with sheepish eyes. "You have already done so much. Coming here, calling me a doctor… I'll figure out the rest once I feel better."
"(Y/N), I'm taking care of you." She raised her hands to cup your face and caressed your cheeks with her thumbs. There was so much love and care on her eyes that you almost melted. "Just let me do it, okay?"
"Okay." You nodded without further complaint.
"Good, now go back to bed." She ordered, and you leaned back on the bed with a little groan as she pulled the covers over you. "I'll go get your meds and some food. Don't move."
"Stay with me until I fall asleep?" You pleaded, feeling the sudden impulse of having her with you a little longer.
"I need to get your meds first." She placed the palm of her hand on your forehead. The fever had gone down a bit but not enough for her liking.
"Please?" You lifted your hand to take hers in yours and placed them over your chest. "Or I might just start jumping on the bed."
She rolled her eyes playfully at you and lifted one knee to join you in the bed. "Just until you fall asleep."
"Yes, ma'am." You smiled and moved slowly to the side, making space for her.
She laid then next to you, being careful not to push or crush you with her own body weight. It took you a couple of moments to settle into a comfortable position, where you had an arm below Lena and she rested her head on your shoulder, with a hand gently placed above your stomach. She moved the palm of her hand in circles, stroking with care your abdomen from above the covers.
The soothing movement, her embrace, the warmth of her body against you felt like a cure to all your aches and troubles. You couldn't imagine anyone else do what she was doing for you. Hell, you couldn't even imagine having to share those moments with anyone that wasn't her, and because of that you were grateful she was by your side.
"I know I already said it but, thank you." You moved your head a bit down to look at her. "I really don't know what I would do without you."
"Curl into a ball and sleep for a month?" Lena mused.
"Oh, I wish." You smiled at her. "But no, this is way better."
"How is this better?" She chuckled.
"'Cause I have you here." You sighed contented and fatigue seemed to finally settle in your bones as you snuggled down, shifting on the bed to rest your chin on her head. "You make everything better."
"You too make everything better, (Y/N)." She whispered as she knew you were asleep right away.
She smiled as a comfortable silence fell over the two of you, where Lena could hear the soft rhythm of your breathing and be comforted by the slow movement of your chest as it went up and down in the same cadence. She let herself drift into the same slumber.
She would have the rest of the day to buy you groceries and your meds, but for now she let herself too enjoy this moment by your side. After all, that's what she was there for.

Lovestruck (Lena Luthor x Fem!Danvers!Reader)
@sashawalker2 asked:
I'd like to request this. Fem Reader X Lena Luthor Prompt: “You are my best friend” Idea: Reader is Lena Luthor's best friend. A sweet fluffy fic. Imagine the two going off on holiday and just being very sweet to each other.
Tumblr media
"It's so cute that you're going on vacation with Lena," Alex comments, nudging her sister with a shoulder.
(Y/n) looks up from the new suit she was making for Kara – stitching the new emblem into the fabric.
"Of course, Lena and I do everything together. She's my best friend," (Y/n) replies.
"You're so oblivious," Alex replies, (Y/n) going back to her stitchwork.
"What?" (Y/n) replies, distractedly.
"Oblivious," Alex says.
"About what?" (Y/n) asks, looking up at her sister.
"Lena likes you," Alex says.
"Haha," (Y/n) turns back to her work again. "You're funny Alex, she's just my friend."
. . .
"I'm so glad you've decided to join me on holiday," Lena says, her and (Y/n) settling down on their shared couch in their shared apartment. Lena props her head up with her hand as she gazes at (Y/n), her ginger cat, Apollo, sleeping in her lap.
(Y/n) takes a sip from her glass of water. "It'll be fun," she smiles warmly.
(Y/n)'s puppy, a golden retriever named Cosmo, bounds over to the couch. Both (Y/n) and Cosmo look at Lena, pulling off very similar puppy-dog eyes.
Lena's expression softens as she meets (Y/n)'s gaze. "Fine," Lena finally gives in.
"Up, Cosmo," (Y/n) calls the dog up onto the couch.
Cosmo jumps up onto the couch, lying his head in Lena's lap.
"I still can't believe I let you get a dog in our apartment," Lena strokes Cosmo's ears.
"He's our dog," (Y/n) replies, allowing her head to tilt slightly, something that Lena finds very cute. "And you already had a cat before I even moved in."
"Hey, would you mind –" Lena begins.
"I gotcha," (Y/n) replies. She pats Cosmo's back, and gets off the couch.
This was a common occurrence in the household – Cosmo would beg to be let onto the couch, Lena would complain affectionately about Cosmo wanting to get on the couch, Lena would let Cosmo up, the dog would rest his head on Lena's knee, and then Lena would request a glass of wine.
"Cabernet?" (Y/n) asks and Lena grins slightly.
"You know me so well," Lena replies.
(Y/n) moves to the kitchen, reaches into the wine cabinet, and pulls out a bottle of Cabernet. "This one?" (Y/n) asks, lifting the bottle high enough for Lena to see.
"The other one," Lena replies.
(Y/n) hums grabbing the other bottle and pouring a glass, bringing it over to Lena.
. . .
Soft snores escape (Y/n)'s slightly open mouth.
"So oblivious," Lena mutters, running her fingers through (Y/n)'s hair.
Cosmo lifts his head from his place in (Y/n)'s lap, letting his tongue loll out of his mouth.
"I think you know it too, boy," Lena reaches over and scratches behind the retriever's ears.
. . .
(Y/n) stumbles sleepily down the hall, yawning as she heads towards the coffee maker.
"Already made," Lena appears at (Y/n)'s shoulder holding a mug of coffee, and (Y/n) jumps.
(Y/n) takes the mug from Lena, and sips from the coffee. (Y/n) makes a murmur of contentment, taking another sip of the coffee. "It's perfect," (Y/n) says. "How'd you know –"
"I like you!" Lena blurts out, and (Y/n) stops, her eyes widening.
"What?" (Y/n) asks. "I thought Alex was joking."
"Excuse me," Lena looks confused.
"I was working on Kara's suit, and she said something about you liking me," (Y/n)'s cheeks begin to feel hot. "I thought she was just messing with me."
"I do like you! A lot!" Lena says. "You just never seemed to notice."
There is a silence before Lena looks up at (Y/n), watching her cheeks darken.
"I, uh, like you too," (Y/n) says softly. "And like," she scrambles for the words, "not just in a friend way."
Lena lets out a laugh of relief.
"So," (Y/n) looks up from her mug of coffee. "What do we do now? I've never done this before."
Lena snorts with amusement. "I think we go on our vacation, and have fun. And then we come back and tell our friends."
"Tell them what?" (Y/n) asks cluelessly.
Lena lets out a 'pfft' noise and just shakes her head fondly. "Nothing you should worry your cute little head about," Lena replies. "Now, let's go. We're going to be late."
"Isn't it your private jet?" (Y/n) says.
Lena just holds back her chuckle as Apollo follows her down the hall to her bedroom.

Elegance Unveiled - Lena Luthor x fem!reader
Tumblr media
[summary: where reader is lena's assistant and has a huge crush on lena, reader later sees lena in a beautiful dress at a gala and panics, they later share a moment together and lena kisses the reader.]
Masterlist
The halls of L-Corp were a constant buzz of activity, but amidst the chaos, you found solace in the presence of Lena Luthor. As her dedicated assistant, you admired her brilliance, her grace, and the way she navigated the complexities of her family's legacy. What others saw as coldness, you perceived as a shield that protected her from the world.
The more time you spent with Lena, the deeper your feelings grew. A simple smile from her could brighten your day, and every interaction left you longing for more. You kept your emotions hidden, fearing that your affection would jeopardize the professional relationship you treasured.
The annual L-Corp gala was the talk of the city, and you found yourself in the midst of its preparation. As Lena's assistant, you were tasked with ensuring the event went off without a hitch. The night of the gala arrived, and you watched from the sidelines as Lena greeted guests with effortless charm.
But when Lena emerged in a stunning dress that accentuated her elegance, your heart raced, and panic clawed at your chest. The sight of her beauty was overwhelming, and you realized that your feelings for her had deepened beyond your control.
Amidst the glamour and the glittering lights, you stole a moment of respite in a quiet corner. But as Lena's gaze found yours across the room, your heart skipped a beat. She approached with a smile that held a hint of familiarity.
"(Y/n), you've been working tirelessly," she said, her voice soft but warm.
You managed a nervous smile, attempting to conceal your racing heart. "It's all worth it to see the success of the gala."
Lena's gaze lingered, and you felt an unspoken connection between you. "You look exquisite tonight," she commented, her eyes tracing your form.
A blush tinged your cheeks as you looked away from her captivating emerald eyes and stammered a thank you, your heart pounding in your ears. Was it just you or was it suddenly too hot in there?
As the night continued, you found yourself drawn to Lena's side, your conversations becoming more intimate. The connection you had tried to suppress was undeniable, and it seemed that Lena was equally drawn to you.
As the gala reached its peak, Lena took your hand, leading you to a quieter spot away from the crowd. The moon's soft glow bathed you both in an ethereal light, and Lena's gaze held a mixture of vulnerability and longing.
"(Y/n), there's something I've been wanting to say," Lena began, her voice tinged with sincerity. "I've noticed the way you look at me, the way your presence brings me comfort."
Your heart raced as Lena's words hung in the air, hope and uncertainty warring within you.
Lena's fingers gently lifted your chin, her touch sending shivers down your spine. "And I want you to know that the feelings are mutual."
Before you could respond, Lena leaned in, her lips meeting yours in a kiss that was both tender and passionate. Time seemed to stand still as you shared a moment of unspoken connection, the weight of your emotions finally acknowledged.
The gala came to an end, and you found yourselves on the rooftop, the city's lights twinkling below. Lena's hand was entwined with yours, and the silence between you was comfortable, filled with unspoken promises.
"Is this real?" you whispered, your gaze never leaving Lena's.
She smiled, her expression a mixture of contentment and certainty. "It's as real as the stars above us."

***10 years later***
Retirement had never felt so good. After almost 15 years of traveling and making music, it was finally time to unplug the guitar from the amp. You made many memories as you traveled across the world. It was truly an experience you were never going to forget, but it was time to settle down. Your bandmates felt the same. All of you had partners and families. You, yourself, had a daughter and a wife, and you missed them every time you went on tour. It wasn’t enough for you to see them during Facetime. The phone calls weren’t enough anymore. You were missing out on crucial milestones with your daughter. You missed her first words and her first steps. You didn’t want to miss anything anymore. So, after one last farewell tour, where you said goodbye to your fans, you spent the rest of your time with your daughter, Ruby, and your wife, Sam.
You loved your family. Ruby had such a personality for a little kid. She was curious. Good lord, was she curious. She got into everything, climbed on anything. She asked loads of questions about anything she laid her big brown eyes on, and you loved it. You let her explore. You let her question whatever she wanted and answered everything as best as you could. You let her be autonomous, and as she got bigger, you discovered just how intelligent she was. The things she used to build with her legos were astonishing. At Sam’s suggestion, you both taught her how to read and write, and within a month, she was already writing her name. Honestly, her intellect scared you a little.
“What the hell did you eat while you were pregnant?” you often asked your wife, and every time she would laugh and kiss your cheek.
“Must have been the spinach and mini wheats.”
By the time Ruby reached kindergarten, her teacher was astonished by her wit and intelligence. She was miles ahead of the other kids except for one other person. Her friend, Alexa. Ruby had so much to say about her new friend. It was always “Alexa taught me a new way to tie my shoes” or “Alexa taught me how to say hello in French.”
“You’re making Alexa sound like a superstar,” you said to her once. You watched as her eyes lit up with excitement and admiration.
“She’s the best, Mommy! I think you would like her if you met her.”
You smiled and kissed her cheek. “I’ll tell you what. If you want to make a play date with her, I’m game.”
“Really?!” she practically screamed, and you winced a bit as her voice pierced your ear drums.
“Of course, baby girl. Let’s make it happen.”
And she did make it happen. That was how you ended up in the park right now. You and Ruby arrived at the park before Alexa and her parents did, so you told her to go play until her friend got here. You sat on the park bench with an acoustic guitar in your lap and you strummed a few cords as the wind blew through the vibrantly green leaves. You watched your daughter play with some other kids, smiling at the way she was having fun. She was the light of your life, and you were so happy to be a part of hers. After a few moments, you heard her giggle, and you looked up to her running towards a little girl in the parking lot. She just made it out of her car before Ruby wrapped her little arms around her body and scooped her up into a bear hug. The little girl screamed as she hugged her back and you smiled fondly at the interaction. Ruby put her down and pulled her towards you.
“You gotta meet my Mommy!”
You chuckled when you saw two little girls run to stand in front of you. Next to Ruby stood Alexa, and when you looked into her eyes, you were overcome with the strongest wave of recognition. They were an effervescent shade of emerald green, and she gave you a sweet but shy smile.
“Hi, my name is Alexa,” she said politely.
“Hello, Alexa. My name is Y/n, and I am so happy to meet you. This one over here,” you said as you winked at your daughter. “Had so many wonderful things to say about you.”
She blushed a little as she played with her hands shyly.
“The day is all about you two. Go have fun.”
Ruby started to pull her away and Alexa let her, but before she could get out of earshot, she looked at you. “My mom plays your music all the time. I really like your voice.”
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion but thanked her, nonetheless. What a small world that her mom happened to know of you. You went back to strumming lazily. You played one of your old songs, the strings producing hushed melodious music that carried in the slight wind. As you watched the girls and played, you heard footsteps approaching you from behind.
“I haven’t heard that song in a really long time.”
You paused as your eyes widened. Were your ears playing tricks on you? Because you knew that voice. You turned around to meet the same green eyes her daughter had.
“Lena?”
“Hey stranger,” she said with a flawless smile.
You put down the guitar and stood up. “Oh my god. Oh my god! I haven’t seen you in forever!”
Lena approached you excitedly and gave you a polite hug. “How have you been?”
“Good,” you said. “How have you been?”
“Busy,” she answered truthfully.
“I can only imagine. You’re running an entire company. Congrats for that by the way!”
“Thank you! But it’s not just one,” she said as she held up two fingers and wiggled them.
“Two?!” you exclaimed incredulously. “What’s the other one?”
“CatCo. I recently bought it and I’m having someone else run L-Corp for me.”
“This person. Is her name Sam?”
Lena’s eyebrows flew up. “Oh! You know her?”
"She's my wife!” you said with a laugh.
Lena laughed as well, but you watched her gaze shift to your left hand. She stared at your ring long enough for you to notice and you chuckled awkwardly.
“What are the odds that your daughter would know mine?” Lena asked as she sat down next to you on the picnic table.
You could only shrug. “Small world or crazy odds. We should go play a lottery.”
Lena smirked as she looked at you. You looked good. The years were kind to you. You no longer had the baby face she loved once upon a time ago. Your features were more angular and mature. Even when wearing a leather coat, a band tee, and jeans, she could tell that you still took care of yourself.
You looked at Lena and smiled. The years were kind to her as well. She radiated a confidence she didn’t have when you knew her. She stood up straighter, carried herself better. Lena looked good.
“What’s happened in your world?” you asked her.
She shrugged nonchalantly. “Running businesses. Taking care of my partner. Keeping that one busy,” she said with a chuckle as she motioned to her daughter.
“Are you still with Kara?”
When you mentioned her name, Lena’s smile faltered a little, but she nodded. You looked down to see the modest ring on her left hand and you smiled. The air was silent as you watched your daughter play with hers.
“Y/n, I wanted to say I’m sorry,” Lena blurted suddenly.
You stared at her, her apology catching you off guard as you regarded her with wide, confused eyes.
“We just got here,” you replied with a hesitant chuckle. “What are you sorry for?”
“I’m sorry for what I did back then. To you, I mean.”
“Oh…”
She nodded as she went quiet for a few heartbeats. Then, she took a deep breath.
“I hurt you. Deeply. And I’m sorry.”
You listened to her, your eyes meeting hers.
“I accept your apology, Lena,” you told her. “We were both young with no real clue about what we wanted. I didn’t know it at the time, but I really was focused on the band. I wanted to travel the world, and see new things, and see new sites. I don’t blame you for leaving,” you said honestly with a shrug. “You had needs and they weren’t being met.”
Lena nodded. “I could have done it better. I shouldn’t have broken up with you over the phone while you were on tour.”
“Yeah, that kind of sucked,” you said as you laughed, and Lena offered a sad smile. “But I don’t hold that against you. As often as I was on tour, it wasn’t like you had many opportunities to break up with me properly.”
Lena snorted and looked away, her smile wide as she played with her hands nervously. You looked at her and gently bumped your shoulder against hers playfully.
“Water under the bridge?”
She nodded. “I would really like it if we could be friends.”
Right as she said it, you heard loud screaming and giggling as the girls played on the slide.
“I think I’d like that. It seems that we won’t be able to separate our kids from each other. I wouldn’t want anything between us to affect them, regardless.”
Lena nodded and was quiet again. “Can I ask you something?”
“Of course,” you answered.
“If it’s personal, you don't have to answer.”
“It’s okay, Lena,” you reassured her.
She swallowed thickly as she looked at the grass. “What did you do with the wedding ring?”
You instantly knew what she was talking about. “I still have it,” you answered truthfully. “Sam knows about the things that happened between us and I told her that I couldn’t part with it.”
“Why not?”
You shrugged. “I struggled after you left, Lee,” you admitted quietly.
Lena smiled softly at the nickname you used for her back when you were together. She put a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“I struggled a lot. I struggled with strong negative feelings, both towards you and myself. My band mates convinced me to do virtual therapy and it was then that things did start to get better. At first, that ring was a source of resentment, but as time went on and my perspective about everything that we went through changed, it became a source of nostalgia.”
You contemplated whether saying your next words out loud was a good idea. You didn’t know if it was, and almost decided against it.
But one thing that you wished you had was closure. True closure. There was the very last night you talked to her, but you had practically thrown her out in the rain. What you thought was closure had been your attempt at retaliation. After that, in your stubbornness, you wanted nothing more to do with her. You didn’t even want to hear her name again. You did a lot of unhealthy things to cope, things you weren’t proud of. That was what led you to therapy. It took time, but once your feelings changed, you wanted to call Lena and apologize. You didn’t get that chance then.
But you had it now.
“I loved you, Lena,” you said as you looked at her. “I did. I just didn’t love you right and I’m sorry.”
Lena nodded. She patted your shoulder before she removed her hand. You both watched your kids silently for the next few moments before she said her next sentence.
“Water under the bridge.”

Flying Home To You
Tumblr media
⁀➷ Pairing: Lena Luthor x Reader
⁀➷ Notes: Cute lil’ idea I had :D
⁀➷ Summary: When you’re flying back home from a business trip, you find yourself jet-lagged. Lena’s here to make it better.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
The plane ride home had been gruelling, and your mind felt foggy as you raised a weary arm to hail a cab to finally take you back to your apartment.
The city lights blurred outside the window, and you could hardly keep your eyes open, resting your head against the cold glass. Turbulence and a screaming baby had kept you from catching up on the day or so of sleep you’d desperately been craving - not to mention the being in multiple time zones in the span of a few days. It had all begun to take its toll of you, leaving you feeling jet lagged and just overall exhausted.
The cab pulled up to your apartment building, and you stumbled out, dragging your suitcase behind you. The keys felt heavy in your hand as you fumbled to unlock the door. Lena must have heard your tired footsteps because she opened the door with such a sweet smile that you were helpless to stop your cheeks from blushing pink.
“Welcome home my love.” Lena purred, pulling you into a deep hug, one which left you melting into her arms. You hadn’t realised how much you’d missed her touch, her voice, her everything.
She took your bag, setting it to the side and she guided you inside, “Let’s get you settled in baby.”
You nodded as her hand came to rest on your back, guiding you over to the living room after you’d kicked off your shoes.
“I’m so glad to be home.” You finally uttered, feeling the weight of the day slowly begin to lift as you let yourself sink into the familiarity of the sofa. It was a little hard to get comfy at first. You’d been sat down for most of the day to the point your legs had started to ache and go numb and then there was that pounding at the front of your head, like someone repeatedly banging on a drum.
Lena was quick to sit beside you, “How was the trip darling? Everything go smoothly I hope.”
You shrugged, “Work was fine, everything went good,” You let out a small sigh, letting your head fall onto her chest as you cuddled up to her, “Those flights was awful though.”
“I forget you don’t like flying, do you?” She sighed, she’d insisted you take her jet and she fly you herself but you’d convinced her the hassle wasn’t worth it just for a small trip. Lena pressed a kiss to the front of your temple and noticed the slight way you winced at the touch, “Your head hurts?” She asked, seemingly already knowing the answer.
“Throbbing.”
“You’re dehydrated sweetheart, that’s why your head hurts.” Your girlfriend whispered, she had noticed the subtle way your lips had begun to chap at the edges - it was your tell. It was how she knew when you hadn’t been drinking enough.
“Maybe.” You sighed, knowing she was definitely right.
She stood up, her hand trailing from your slightly-messy hair before heading over to the kitchen. Lena didn’t take long and she quickly returned with a fresh bottle of water from the fridge.
“Here, make sure you drink, okay?” She mumbled softly, the cold bottle was placed into your hand, “I know how you are about forgetting these things.”
You nodded, lips fastening around the neck of the bottle before taking a slow sip of the cool liquid which earnt a nod of approval from your wife. The gesture was quickly followed by a soft kiss to the top of your forehead and you could feel her gentle hand begin to run through your hair.
The Luthor reached down into her pocket, pulling out a small packet of paracetamol. “You should take these too.” She said, popping two out of the packet and waited for you to take them.
“Good girl, thank you.” She hummed quietly as she took the drink from you and set it aside. The sound was soft and comforting. You found yourself settling into her touch, your hand coming to rest on her thigh as you looked up at her sleepily, “We’ll get you to bed soon, don’t worry. You’ve got nothing to do tomorrow at all, you can sleep as long as you need.”
“Thank you Le’, I’m really grateful for everything.” A soft smile played on your lips as you both settled down into each other’s hold, enjoying the comforting silence of each other.
“Did you miss me?” You broke the silence a few minutes later as you quietly murmured, you already knew the answer of course but just needed to hear it.
Lena smiled, as she let your spare hand come to cup your chin, tilting your head up to meet her emerald eyes, “Of course I did, you know I always miss you.” You felt her kiss your forehead again but this time you sat up, mirroring her touch as you cupped her face before pressing a deep kiss to her cherry lips.
“I really missed you too.”

“What am I going to do with you sweetheart? Eh?” Lena sighed, lathering up the shampoo as she softly ran her hands through your hair, carefully washing it.
“You could kiss me and make me soup?” You giggled feverishly, as you looked over your shoulder to see Lena raise an eyebrow and shoot you an ‘are you kidding me’ sort of look.
In her defence she had warned you this would happen. Her exact words had been “Remember to wear a coat, you’ll catch a cold otherwise.” But did you wear a coat? Nope. Instead, you had gotten thoroughly soaked and chilled to the bone, leading you to where you were now. 3 days later, sniffling and miserable as both you and Lena sat on the floor of your steam filled shower in an attempt to clear up your sinuses.
With a playful smirk, Lena leaned closer, her lips hovering near your forehead. "Well, since you asked so nicely," she said, planting a gentle kiss on your feverish forehead. You couldn't help but grin happily, “Next time you’ll listen to me though, won’t you?”
You nodded weakly, a contented sigh escaping your lips as Lena continued to wash your hair with tender care. The steam from the shower seemed to be finally doing wonders for your stuffy nose, and you could finally breathe a little easier.
Lena's fingers continued to massage your scalp, her touch soothing and loving. "I will, I promise." you whispered, your voice still a bit hoarse round the edges.
She chuckled softly, the sound like music to your ears. "That's what I like to hear." Lena leaned in, her lips brushing against your earlobe. "And as for the soup, it's already simmering on the stove. You'll have a nice, hot bowl waiting for you when we're done here."

Too much, my dear.
Y/n: Natasha, I trust you, I do, but are you sure about this whole thing?
Natasha: As for now, we have to pick a side.
Y/n: The discussion about this accord alone makes us fight. I don't want the Avengers to break up.
Natasha: That makes us both. None of us want that to happen, but you understand the accord. You'd know both side has the consequences. You just have to make a choice, for which side are you on.
Y/n: Are you going to Vienna?
Natasha: I have one more place to stop. I'm meeting Steve, hope he already made his choices. It's up to you but I'll be glad if you were there.
Y/n: I haven't made my decision.
Natasha: Bye. For now.
*Few hours later, at the UN meet at Vienna.
T'challa: Ms. Romanoff. Its a pleasure to see you here.
Natasha: The pleasure is mine.
T'challa: The two of the Avengers here can make a great change and positive review for supporting the accords. Excuse me, I have to see my father.
Natasha: Two? *she turns around and see you walking confidently towards them with a smile on her face.
Y/n: Is that a smile on your face, Romanoff?
Natasha: Well, like I said, I am glad you're here.
Y/n: I trust you. So, you better be right.
Natasha: You love me.
Y/n: Too much, my dear. Too much.

Perfect Sense (Part I)

Request
Soulmate AU, please? (With A/B/O you're comfortable?) Fem!Reader (or Gender-Neutral) hasn't experienced much in her life, other than the experiments CADMUS had done to her shapeshifting powers. All she knew of the world outside the facility was what she'd learnt in the stories a sympathetic scientist would sometimes tell her when she was still a kid, to calm her down during testing. After 2 decades the scientist had enough and helped her escape, landing her in the arms of another Luthor.
A/N: Aaaand here another request you guys, writing a few fics in parts due to how long they get to be at the end. Thank you to the lovely person that sent this one, I'm sorry it's been ages, i still hope you can enjoy it. Love you guys
Lena Luthor x Fem!R/Shapeshifter//Word Count: 2,413
-------------------------------------------------------
"Subject C-308, ready for testing." A voice sounded through the speakers of the room and immediately the lights went on, blinding your eyes.
You couldn't use your hands to cover your face. They were tied to your sides with restrains to the medical bed you were laying on. It was the same with your feet, where the restraints were even tighter. Silhouettes started to moved and hoover above you, all covered in masks, blue suits and white gloves, looking down at you.
"Phase one of Project Lykaon, subject C-308, ready for intervention." A deep voice, from one of the silhouettes said. "All things set. Ready to start protocol."
"Initiate procedure." The same voice of the speakers sounded and the figures above you started to move.
You would have wished to tell them about the lights, how bright they were and how they hurt your eyes. About the ties around your wrists and feet, how uncomfortable they were, but the gag in your mouth didn't allow it and before you could even think of making a sound, it all went dark.
That was one of the first memories you ever had in your life, and it looked almost the same for the rest of it. It was all uncomfortable restrains and chains, white walls and white lights, the constant smell of antiseptic and cleaning products, knives, syringes, and endless surgical procedures. With no contact outside four walls of that place that felt more like a cage.
A cage fit to held the animal you were sure you were becoming.
After each intervention, after each transformation, with this savage instinct inside of you always in the edge of taking control. You were more beast than human, they used to say and you almost believed them.
But Dr. Jeremiah wouldn't have any of it. He was a different memory, a kinder, softer reminder that you were indeed human. The only person to ever treat you with compassion.
Before your interventions, on those terrible moments when you felt the anger and fear building up inside of you, threatening to tear to shreds anyone that dared come near you, he would come to talk you down. Dr. Jeremiah seemed to understand, how you would have done anything to put a stop to it. The numbness, the tiredness, the overwhelming sensations and pain that came each time after you were taken out of your room. But he would talk to you, speaking softly, assuring you you were going to be just fine, because you were stronger than you thought.
He would come after the operations to check up on you, sitting beside your bed with a worried expression, telling you stories about what awaited for you in the outside world, a world that was bigger than an operations room and your own. A world full of wonders like grass, sunsets, the sunshine, flowers, snow, and love. Whatever those things were.
"What's love?" You have asked once. He had paused then and thought for a long moment.
"Love is when two souls find and want each other." He had explained.
"What's a soul?" You asked then.
"It's something inside of you. The strongest part of you, (Y/N)" He smiled, only he called you with a name. "Your soul is everything you feel, and when you feel something so strong for someone else that means you have found your soulmate."
"A soulmate." You have whispered and frowned, still unsure of that idea.
"You will know it when you see them. It will feel as if you have known them all your life and everything you have been through will make sense." At that moment you had been too young to understand what he meant, but you would do it in due time.
Years passed, you became older but he kept telling you those stories. The ones you liked more where about the people. People that didn't hurt others just because they had the power to do it. He would even speak highly of one scientist he knew, so different from the ones you had met so far. A woman he had met time ago, someone so kind and loving that you liked to imagine her sometimes too and dream about meeting her in the outside world, to finally know something else apart from the nightmare that was being trapped there.
The dream came true a decade later, when you had grown up so much that it took them more and more people to control you. Dr. Jeremiah had been right, you were stronger and even stronger than they thought you were. That was one of the few joys you had then, besides the stories Dr. Jeremiah retold for you. Your powers grew too, the size of your body as you transformed, the length of your claws and teeth, the range of your sense of smell, the vision of your eyes. More powerful than the child you had been once.
Still, it wasn't enough for them.
"I think you enjoy your time with her a little too much, doctor." The voice of a woman caught your attention as you tried to fight the numbness of the strong sedatives.
You had been injected after being taken to the testing room, after finding out you could take three men with a single swing of one of your clawed hands, to keep you under control.
"I'm just trying to be comforting. Seems to help with her neural responses." Dr. Jeremiah was as indifferent as he could be.
"Well, you won't have to worry about that for much longer." The satisfaction in that woman's voice was noticeable and also the way you seemed to respond to her, with a terrible feeling of submission that was difficult to shake compared to any other people. You never felt like that in the presence of Dr. Jeremiah. "Project Lykaon has been terminated. She will be taken to another facility, and you can perform her last surgical procedure if you are that attached to her."
"Are you sure you want to dispose the only test subject that has survived all the interventions, Lilian?" His word came with a hint of outrage and concern. "With her powers she could still-"
"I spent too many resources already on this project, doctor. Besides, she's still incapable of following directives from her superiors, even when she seems compliant at first. And we can't do much with only one successful specimen, can we?" The woman cut him off and there was a moment of silence before she spoke again. "There's no need for more interventions. She will be taken tomorrow. After her autopsy, we will see which parts of her can be salvaged."
After the conversation was over, you tried to open your eyes looking for Dr. Jeremiah but he wasn't there anymore. You felt a certain heaviness in your chest, but you couldn't dwell on it as the sedatives finally won over you.
You woke up after a deep slumber restrained to a metal bed, only wearing a simple set of pants and shirt. As your senses returned you noticed you were being transported through the dark narrow hallways of the facility you had known all your life, but there was something different this time. You still felt a fog clouding your mind and the heaviness in your chest came back. It lessened when you heard Dr. Jeremiah's voice, who was talking with the armed men that transported your bed, giving them instructions on where to take you.
You moved your head, trying to catch a glimpse of the place you were going and noticed those weren't the usual turns and hallways you had grown accustomed to. When Dr. Jeremiah noticed you were awake, he put a hand on your shoulder to calm you down.
After a moment the movement stopped, you were left looking at the ceiling while Dr. Jeremiah talked with the men. He convinced them of leaving you and him alone for a moment, before they had to put you in the van. The men left without much complain, and the doctor seized the moment to act.
"(Y/N), listen to me." He rushed to try to loosen up your restraints. "I'm not letting them take you. You understand?"
The only thing you could do was nod as he kept moving, loosing the restraints on your naked feet and hands.
"You must remain on the bed. Don't move until I tell you to." You nodded once again. You saw him then take a vial and a syringe from his pocket and prepare it. "This will counteract the sedative in your system, you will be more alert in a few minutes, but remember, don't move."
He had injected you just in time before the armed men came back. They pulled your bed around and finally pulled you into the back of an armored van. They sat around you, two men at each side, guns in hand, along with Dr. Jeremiah on your left, who kept an eye on you at all times. As the vehicle started to move you also started to feel less and less numb with each passing minute. You were aware of each bump of the road, hear the sounds of the city in the distance, and your sight adjusted to what was around you as you squinted your eyes to see, trying not to get noticed. Just when you felt like your body was completely awake, you started to wonder what Dr. Jeremiah would do. Not much time had passed but the minutes felt like hours as you tried to be still.
Then you saw movement. Dr. Jeremiah was pulling something out of his pocket, and you opened your eyes to see him better. He looked at you, nodding slowly and with a fierce expression. Almost like telepathy you understood, you had to get ready, and in a second everything turned into chaos.
Dr. Jeremiah, in a faster move than you thought him capable of, pulled a teaser and attacked the man next to him. Almost immediately the rest of the men responded raising their guns at him. However, they didn't expect you to act as quickly as them or even you breaking your restraints so easily.
You grabbed one of the men with your right hand by his bulletproof vest and tossed him against the other one. Your strength, without the need of transforming, was enough to leave them on the floor. You didn't get the change to feel pleased with your work as a deafening bang went off on the left side of your head. You screamed as you raised your left hand towards the last man remaining, ignoring the ache in your head you managed to slash his side and right arm with your nails, now turned into claws. He had tried to eliminate you, but Dr. Jeremiah had managed to push him before he could do it.
The van stopped abruptly and took a sharp turn that made you fall from the metal bed. With your restraints already loose, it was easy to free yourself from them but as you tried to recover from the fall you felt a dizziness making it hard for you to stand up. A hand on your arm pulled you up. Dr. Jeremiah was on your side hurrying you up before the back doors opened. You couldn't hear his exact words but it didn't matter, with the adrenaline running once the back doors opened and you looked at two other agents pointing at you with your guns, you went feral.
Bullets flew the moment the agents saw the enormous black figure lunching at them, but your white sharp teeth showing as you growled and your black nail claws heading straight for their heads were enough to put a final stop to it. You jumped out of the van, leaving two more bodies behind you. A couple of bullets managed to hit you in the chest and arms but you would be recovering quickly, interventions had been done to make sure it didn't take too long.
Dr. Jeremiah jumped out of the van a moment later, gripping his shoulder. You smelled his blood and approached him with a hint of worry in your transformed face.
"It's alright. I'm okay." He smiled softly at you and looked around the streets. They were empty and there seemed to be no people around. "You have to go now. More will be on their way."
You protested with a whimper.
"I'll be okay, don't worry about me." Dr. Jeremiah moved his hand to one of his pockets an pulled a small piece of black fabric. "Run and don't stop. Not until you find her."
You came close to it, sniffing the fabric he held for you. Many scents were mixed on it, from Dr. Jeremiah, from the woman he had talked before, and another you couldn't identify. It wasn't as different from the woman, but it was distinctive enough you believed you could find it without confusing the two. You guessed you had to search for another woman and, feeling like it was a sort of treasure hunt, you let yourself imagine you would find that scientist he had talked about to you years ago.
But doubt filled your head as you looked at him, wondering what would happen to him once you left. There was also that pressure in your chest once again, as you thought what awaited in the outside world now that you had the chance to leave all this behind. All, including him.
"I have to stay." Dr. Jeremiah said catching his breath. He raised his good arm at you, caressing the black fur of your head with his hand as a way of last goodbye. "You go now, (Y/N), go and don't look back."
You pressed your head against his chest, listening to the beating of his heart. The last comforting sound you heard before screeching tires approached in the distance. They were coming for you. You had to leave.
You ran, darting into the shadows of the city, focusing on the memory of the scent Dr. Jeremiah had given you. Moments later you heard shots behind you, but you had been too long gone for them to even catch the sigh of you. You hoped those hadn't been directed to the doctor instead.
You used all your strength and speed to wander between warehouses and factory buildings to reach the urban lights on the other side.

Agent Danvers (Lena Luthor x Baby!Danvers!Reader) - Chapter 9
Series Masterlist
Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
"First day as a reporter," Kara sighs, walking into CatCo with Clark, both of them in civilian attire. "This is like five times more exciting than buying new school supplies. Which, look, I did that." She lifts her notepad.
"I see that," Clark smiles at his cousin.
"I got a reporter pad," Kara says excitedly.
"Uh-huh," Clark grins.
"It's for taking reporter notes," Kara flips through her empty notebook.
"Yeah."
"Because . . . I'm a reporter now." Kara pauses, turning to face Clark.
"Hey, Kara," He reaches his hands out to rest on her shoulder. "You're gonna do great."
"I hope so," Kara replies.
"I don't mean to interrupt," Cat Grant walks to her doors. "Kara, do you think I could trouble you for a minute?"
"Good luck," Clark leaves Kara with her boss.
. . .
"So," Alex walks through Kara's apartment, shaking two bottles of wine, "does Clark like red or white?"
"No, none for him," Kara replies, setting the Chinese food down on her table.
Liho is perched on one of the barstools, his paws resting on the counter. Her tail swishes happily and (Y/n) chuckles at her cat, setting a bowl of water down on the counter. The bombay cat leans her head down, drinking some of her water.
There is a knock on the door, and (Y/n) glances at the door before she reaches into Kara's cabinet and grabs a glass to fill her own glass with water. She rounds the counter, and perches on the other barstool, running her hand down Liho's back.
"Alcohol doesn't affect Kryptonians but he still won't drink and fly," Kara adds, walking towards her door. "He's a big, big nerd." Opening the door, the Danvers sisters are greeted with Clark in the doorframe. "Perfect timing."
"Hey, Clark," both Alex and (Y/n) say, and Liho looks up from her water.
The little cat jumps off the stool, padding over to meet Clark.
"Liho," (Y/n) says.
"She's okay," Clark says, closing the door behind him and leaning down to pet the cat. "Um, could you give Kara and me a minute together?"
"Of course," Alex and (Y/n) chirp.
(Y/n) gets up from her stool, and when her owner moves towards the couch, Liho's little bell jingles as she follows. Liho jumps up into (Y/n)'s lap, and she rests her head on (Y/n)'s knee.
Alex reaches over, petting the cat; the cat's purr rumbles in her throat.
"A jumper is on the National City Bridge and emergency personnel are en route," A reporter on the news says and (Y/n) and Alex look over at Kara and Clark. "A bridge closure is in effect."
"One last team-up?" Kara asks Clark.
Clark chuckles.
. . .
Superman and Supergirl land on the bridge, about ten feet away from the man perched on the edge of the bridge.
They take a few steps closer to the man.
"Sir," Kara says, her hair flowing behind her due to the gentle breeze. "Sir, you don't want to do this."
The man on the edge of the bridge turns around, and Superman and Supergirl are face to face with John Corben.
"Corben?" Kara questions, her defenses rising at the sight of the man.
Corben's chest glows green and his shirt melts off, and he shoots a jet of Kryptonite at Clark.
Clark groans as he clutches his chest in pain.
"No," Corben says. "Metallo." He jumps off the edge of the bridge and onto the asphalt, blasting Clark again with more Kryptonite.
Kara steps between Metallo and Clark, swinging at Metallo wildly. Her fist slams into Metallo's face, but the man doesn't flinch.
Metallo punches Kara, and she flies over, slamming into a car on the other edge of the bridge. Kara's chest heaves as she tries to get to her feet. She watches helplessly as Metallo walks over to Clark, punching him repeatedly in the face. Then Metallo pulls Clark into a chokehold, holding Clark against the Kryptonite in his chest.
Kara had risen to her feet and blasts at Metallo with her heatvision but Metallo raises his hand, and the skin catches on fire. Kara's nose scrunches up at the smell of burning flesh as Metallo's skin burns off.
Metallo blasts at Kara again, but she leaps over the car. She grunts as she pushes the car towards Metallo, but falters when Metallo pushes the other side of the car. Kara jumps up onto the top of the car, but Metallo blasts her in the chest and she falls off the car, groaning in pain.
"I was shot in the back," Metallo looms over Kara. "At least you'll see your death coming."
Clark slams into Metallo, sending the man flying away across the dark sky. "Kara," Clark lifts his cousin.
. . .
"Kara," Alex yells. Alex and (Y/n) run towards Kara and Clark as the two land.
"I'm fine. I'm fine," Kara leans against Clark for support, limping heavily. "I'm just a little dizzy."
(Y/n) and Alex take over for Clark, (Y/n)'s eyebrows knit with worry.
"You told me that only the DEO had access to Kryptonite," Clark walks straight toward J'oon. "So how would you like to explain what just happened out there?" J'oon is silent. "A Kryptonite-charged cyborg almost killed Kara. Almost killed me. Start talking, J'oon."
"A shipment went missing four months ago," J'oon says and (Y/n) stares at her boss, her eyes wide. "We've done all we can to find it."
"Four months ago?" Kara asks, stepping forward, leaving Alex and (Y/n) to let go of their sister's arms.
"'Went missing'?" Clark echoes.
"Stolen," Alex replies softly.
"We thought it was an inside job but everyone in the transport came up clean," (Y/n) adds and Kara looks at her sisters and (Y/n) visibly winces at the betrayal in the Kryptonian's eyes.
"So you have a mole?" Clark turns his gaze from (Y/n) to meet J'oon's.
"We don't know that," J'oon replies.
"If you'd gotten rid of it when I told you to . . ." Clark's voice rises.
"We would have been helpless when Non and Astra launched Myriad," J'oon interrupts.
(Y/n) visibly flinches and no one but Alex notices when the youngest Danvers walks away to the gym.
"Or have you forgotten that there was a force not even the Man of Steel could defeat?" J'oon continues. J'oon takes a step forward but Clark shoves him back with a hand.
"Superman and Martian Manhunter are gonna fight," Winn says from his perch near the stairs. "This is terrible. This is so awesome," he murmurs.
"We have given our lives protecting the people of Earth," Clark snarls. "If you cared about Kara at all . . ."
"Watch what you say," J'oon smacks Clark's hand off his chest.
"Or what?" Clark snaps, his voice echoing through the room.
J'onn goes to reply, but there is an electric crackle and Winn, Alex, Kara, Clark, and J'oon turn to look at all the screens.
"People of National City," the face on the screen says. "The Earth has been stolen from us. And the enemy has come in the guise of heroes." The screen flashes and they all look at the flickering images of Kara and Clark in their hero attire. "They say they come in peace, to protect us from ourselves. But how long will it be before these gods decide to rule instead of serve? We are the antidote to their poison. We are the scientists who will show them what humans are capable of. Those who have sided with the invaders will not be spared. You cannot stop us. We are everywhere. We are CADMUS."
"CADMUS," J'oon says.
"Coming out into the open," Winn adds.
"Declaring open war," J'oon growls.
"They want to kill us," Kara rests her hands on the round table. "All of us."
"CADMUS has my father," Alex says. "If they turned John Corben into Metallo, what do you think they've done with him?" Alex's eyebrows knit with concern.
"We'll find him," Kara wraps an arm around her sister's shoulder.
"And stop them," Clark adds.
"How?" Winn asks.
"Metallo isn't just flesh and blood anymore," Clark says. "CADMUS has given him a metal endoskeleton. Traces of the alloy had to end up on my hands when I hit him. I can analyze it at the Fortress of Solitude," he turns to J'oon.
"Agent Schott, get Non and Astra's anti-Kryptonite technology out of storage. See if you and (Y/n) can improve upon it for our two friends here." J'oon looks around, and the others realize that (Y/n) isn't with them anymore.
. . .
Alex enters the workout room, walking over to her sister, who was angrily attacking a punching bag.
"Hey," Alex's tone is gentle, but (Y/n) doesn't look up. Alex hums in empathy, moving to brace the bag as (Y/n) takes out her anger on the bag. "It's okay to be upset," Alex says, and (Y/n)'s gaze finally lifts; Alex's expression softens as the pain in her youngest sister's gaze.
(Y/n) stops, sitting down to unwrap her hands.
Alex sits down beside her sister.
"It's just hard sometimes," (Y/n) says softly, turning her head to meet her sister's gaze. "And recently," she pauses. "Well, this might seem selfish, but I feel like Kara's pushing us away to be with Clark. I'm probably just being stupid."
. . .
Kara is walking up the stairs to her apartment.
"Hey," Alex says, jogging up the stairs after her sister and Kara turns once she reaches her floor.
"Any word from Hank?" Kara asks, looking between Alex and (Y/n).
"No," (Y/n) replies, she and Alex following Kara to her door.
"Any word from Clark?" Alex asks, glancing at (Y/n) for a second.
"Nope," Kara replies, unlocking her door. "I'm sure they'll figure out a way to find Metallo soon."
"I just hope they don't hurt each other while they're figuring it out," Alex says, she, Kara, and (Y/n) heading into Kara's apartment.
Liho hops up from the couch and streaks over to (Y/n).
(Y/n) grins, kneeling down and letting the cat scramble into her arms.
Alex closes the door behind her.
Kara sighs heavily.
"I got un-hired by my new boss yesterday," Kara says, tossing her phone, keys, and purse onto her island. Kara plops down onto her couch. "Turns out I'm not a reporter."
Alex sits down beside Kara, and (Y/n) across from them.
"Kara," Alex says gently, and Kara sighs.
"And Cat's leaving," Kara says and (Y/n)'s eyes widen with surprise. "Clark's leaving, too. Everything is changing."
The despair in Kara's voice makes (Y/n)'s heart hurt.
"I'll get us some ice cream," Alex says, glancing over at Kara. "Things will be better tomorrow."
"I've been thinking, though," Kara says, resting her hands on the pillow on her lap. "What if I moved to Metropolis to be with Clark."
(Y/n) looks up from her cat, choking slightly on air.
Alex stares at Kara, her eyes widening with disbelief. "Metropolis?" she echoes.
"Yeah. I mean, think about it. National City would be safer without me around creating a target for CADMUS," Kara reasons. (Y/n)'s eyebrows knit and she focuses on the cat in her lap. "Hank wouldn't have to worry about me feeling uncomfortable with Kryptonite around. And you guys, you'd be able to do your job at the DEO without worrying about me. Guys, if I was in Metropolis, Clark and I could protect the city and keep each other safe." Alex had walked back over to Kara, abandoning the ice cream in the freezer. Kara stands up to meet her older sister's gaze. "And there's still so much I want to learn from him. What do you think?" she glances between (Y/n) and Alex.
(Y/n) stares, dumbfounded at Kara, her mouth falling open.
"I think that we've kept our mouths shut the entire time Clark has been here while you have ignored us," Alex replies, frowning slightly. "And . . . and now you want to just move away?"
"I thought it would be good for you guys," Kara replies. "You wouldn't have to take care of me anymore."
(Y/n) chuckles dryly. "I thought we took care of each other?" (Y/n) asks, and Kara turns to meet her face.
Alex shakes her head, stepping around Kara. "Our whole childhoods were spent making sure that nobody found out. I gave up a medical career to join the DEO for you. And my . . . My whole life has been about protecting you."
"I thought you said it was a great adventure," Kara asks.
(Y/n) snorts with exasperation, standing up, grabbing Liho's little cat harness from by the door. (Y/n) kneels down, and the cat waits patiently as (Y/n) snaps the harness on, followed by the leash.
Kara's door slams as (Y/n) and Liho leave the apartment.
. . .
(Y/n) and Liho stop at Noonans and (Y/n) plops down at her normal table. (Y/n) orders an iced coffee and a chocolate chip muffin as well as a tiny bowl of milk for Liho.
"Hi," (Y/n) looks up, blinking with surprise to find Lena Luthor standing beside her table.
"Miss Luthor," (Y/n) addresses the billionaire. "It's nice to meet you."
"Please," Lena Luthor smiles slightly, "Lena. Miss Luthor makes me feel old."
Liho places her paws on the table, stretching out her head to reach Lena with her nose.
"Who is this cutie?" Lena asks, reaching over to pet the cat.
"This is Liho," (Y/n) sits down, offering the chair across from her to the young Luthor. "(Y/n) Danvers at your service," (Y/n) says as Lena sits down.
"Well, thank you for saving my life," Lena says.
"Well, I could say the same," (Y/n) replies.

{Part 1} {Part 2}
The days following the revelation were a haze of regret and longing. The connection you had shared with Lena felt like a distant memory, a dream that had slipped through your fingers. The weight of your dual life bore down on you, a constant reminder of the choices you had made.
Lena's absence left an ache in your chest, an emptiness that refused to be filled. Every moment you spent at L-Corp was a reminder of what you had lost. The city's secrets seemed to whisper around you, a reflection of the secrets you carried within.
Late one night, as the city's lights twinkled below, you found yourself on the rooftop of your secret lair— the place where you had orchestrated countless schemes. The juxtaposition of your two lives felt overwhelming, a collision of light and darkness that mirrored your conflicted heart.
The sound of footsteps behind you snapped you from your thoughts, and you turned to find Lena standing there, her expression a mix of determination and pain.
"You've been avoiding me," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of anger.
Your heart raced, torn between relief at seeing her and the knowledge that you had hurt her irreparably. "Lena, I…"
She held up a hand, silencing your words. "I've spent days trying to process everything. Trying to understand how someone I cared about could keep such a monumental secret from me."
You looked down, shame washing over you as the truth of your actions weighed heavily on your shoulders.
"I thought I knew you," Lena continued, her voice softening. "But it turns out there's a side of you I never could have imagined."
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as you met her gaze, regret and apology clear in your own eyes.
"Why did you do it?" Lena's voice cracked, her vulnerability shining through the anger. "Why did you choose to be a villain?"
You took a deep breath, the weight of your choices finally catching up with you. "I never wanted this life, Lena. Circumstances led me down this path, and I felt trapped by it."
Lena's gaze held a mixture of empathy and frustration. "You always had a choice, (Y/n). There are other ways to cope with pain and anger."
You nodded, the truth of her words hitting home. "I know that now. But back then, I couldn't see any other way."
The silence that followed was heavy with unspoken emotions. The city's skyline stretched out before you, a canvas of possibilities and regrets.
"I don't know if I can ever trust you again," Lena admitted, her voice breaking.
Tears streamed down your face as you reached out, desperate to bridge the distance between you. "Lena, I am so sorry for hurting you. I never meant for any of this to happen."
Lena's gaze softened, her walls momentarily crumbling. "I believed in you, (Y/n). I thought you were different."
You stepped closer, your heart in your eyes. "I want to be different, Lena. I want to find a way to make amends and prove to you that I can change."
Lena's gaze held yours for a long moment before she sighed, her shoulders sagging with the weight of her emotions. "I need time to think, to figure out if I can ever forgive you."
You nodded, your heart heavy with the uncertainty of what lay ahead. "I understand."
With one last look, Lena turned and walked away, leaving you standing on the rooftop alone. The city's lights shimmered around you, a reminder of the tangled web of deceptions that had led you to this point.
Days turned into weeks, and the distance between you and Lena remained. Your life as a villain began to unravel as you sought redemption, attempting to mend the broken pieces of your past. But no matter how hard you worked to make amends, the wounds you had inflicted on Lena ran deep.
One evening, as you stood on the same rooftop where you had met Lena, you felt a presence behind you. You turned to find Lena standing there, her expression softer than it had been in weeks.
"I've been thinking," she began, her voice hesitant yet determined. "Maybe there's a chance for redemption. Maybe we can find a way to heal from this."
Hope surged within you, a flicker of light in the darkness that had consumed you. "I want that more than anything, Lena."
She stepped closer, her gaze locking onto yours. "But it won't be easy. Rebuilding trust takes time."
You nodded, your heart pounding with the promise of a second chance. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes."
Lena reached out, her fingers brushing against yours. "Then we'll face this together."
As you looked out at the city below, the skyline was a canvas of possibilities once again. The tangled deceptions that had once defined your life were slowly unraveling, replaced by the hope of a brighter future—one where love and redemption could coexist.
And as you held Lena's hand, you knew that the journey ahead wouldn't be easy, but it was a journey you were determined to take.
THE END
