Agent Kallus wants what Yrica Quell has: An Imperial defector arc that is actually well-written, believable and well-developed.

I must say, one of the things I appreciate about the new Thrawn trilogy is the fact that even though they're technically tie-in novels for Star Wars Rebels, Kallus never even gets a single mention in these books, so I could very easily pretend Kallus doesn't exist when I read these books LOL.

That’s a good point about terrible characters being terrible. I really liked Kallus pre-redemption arc as this horrible villain (and honestly I’m kind of attached to rebel’s way of making the heroes poc (that aren’t aliens) face a white villain, since ever Star Wars poc is vilified by the fandom when they interact with heroic white characters (see Lando, mace, Finn, Poe...). But Kallus getting a “redemption arc” and getting to live, being forgiven so easily by zeb... ruins all that.
Well said. Kallus should have stayed a villain, and Zeb killing Kallus instead of being made by the writers to forgive Kallus so easily would be the most satisfying end for Kallus.
The fact that the human members of the Ghost crew are PoC and there is no white human in the Ghost crew (not even a white girl), and the fact that the most prominent white characters in Rebels are villains are also part of the reasons I like Rebels. Unfortunately, that is changed by Kallus getting a “redemption“ arc and while he does not officially become a member of the Ghost crew, he is still allowed to join the Rebellion without getting any consequences, and I hate that.

Who are your top 10 least favorite characters in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Resistance? I haven't seen the other two, but for Clone Wars, even though they're both meant to be hateable, I'd put Pong Krell and Nala Se on my list because of their cruelty towards the clones... specifically their cruelty towards Fives.
My top 10 least favorite characters from these animated shows in no particular order:
Agent Kallus: For having a badly written “redemption” arc but loved by both the narrative and the fandom. IMHO he is bland even as a villain. I also loathe the Kallus x Zeb ship with a burning passion and I hate how popular the ship is. Zeb is one of my top favourite Rebels characters I hate how the show sidelines Zeb in favour of Kallus and how the fandom reduces Zeb to a satellite character for Kallus.
Asajj Ventress: Also for having a badly written “redemption” arc but loved by both the fandom and the narrative, even though she never apologizes or shows remorse for her actions towards her victims, most notably Savage, who died horribly without getting closure.
Satine Kryze: I dislike her centrism and her whitewashed version of Mandalore and Mandalorians, and yet her cultural genocide in the name of “peace“ is praised by the narrative.
Bo-Katan Kryze: Yes, I dislike both Kryze sisters. I hate that Bo-Katan never gets punished or face negative consequences in both TCW and Rebels for willingly joining the Death Watch and carrying out the Death Watch’s crimes. In fact, Bo-Katan gets rewarded with the Darksaber in Rebels. She does not deserve the Darksaber IMHO.
Minister Tua: One of those white women characters who get woobified by the fandom, especially white feminists even though she is a fascist who says and does nothing against of the Empire’s atrocities and wants to leave the Empire only after she was about to be executed for being incompetent.
Jace Rucklin: An unpleasant jerk who eagerly joins the First Order and drinks the First Order Kool-Aid and continues to be a horrible person with few to no redeeming qualities.
Governor Pryce: An unapologetic Imperial and horrible person with very few redeeming qualities. I would at least appreciate her more as a character if she was written more consistently as a competent villain - she is competent in the Thrawn novel and early Season 3 of Rebels, but much less so as the show progresses. I especially cannot stand her in Season 4 and I’m glad that she died. The Thrawn x Pryce ship is also a NoTP for me even though the ship is quite popular among the villain fandom parts of the Rebels fandom.
Padme Amidala: My issues with her don’t just come from TCW alone, but I’m including her on this list since she is a major character in TCW. She is a major example of a white women character whose character is also an embodiment of white feminism and gets idolized by white feminists as an icon. Here is a good Padme-critical article that addresses the problems with her in both the Prequel Trilogy and TCW.
Rush Clovis: A pushy creep towards Padme and he makes me very uncomfortable. He might not know Padme is already married but it still doesn’t excuse his behavior. I don’t care for TCW Season 6′s attempt to redeem him either.
Queen Miraj: The very fact that she runs a planet that is built through slavery should be enough reason to not like her. There’s also her crush on Anakin that is especially creepy due to her being in the position of power and the fact that Anakin was once a slave. I also don’t like how the narrative tries to make her dying moment sympathetic.
To anyone who sees this post: do not interact if you stan for any of the above characters and cannot handle criticisms of them. This post is not an invitation for you to argue with me and try to change my mind about them.
There are other characters that make me feel mostly negative emotions when they show up on screen, but they don’t have enough plot relevance or screen time so I tend to forget they existed.
In the case of characters like Pong Krell and Nala Se, I dislike them as well but they’re obviously intended to be unlikable so I usually don’t put such characters on my least favourite characters list. I also usually don’t put villains on my least favourite characters list, unless they’re too incompetent or their personality is too unpleasant for me to tolerate, or the narrative tries to make the audience sympathize with them when the villain does little to nothing to deserve sympathy.

Since my current main interest is Star Wars animated series, I would be remiss if I do not make an appreciation post for my Mandalorian lesbian daughter Sabine Wren, although I have gushed over her with friends on Discord chats.
Sabine is my absolute favourite character in Star Wars Rebels, and "Trials of the Darksaber" is my absolute favourite episode in Rebels. I enjoy her story and character development a lot.
I also absolutely love the fact that the most prominent human girl character in Rebels is a girl of colour, unlike the Star Wars live-action movies, and is actually voiced by a woman of colour. Sabine and her voice actress being Asian is certainly a bonus for me as an Asian woman as well.
I would die for Sabine Wren.

Since I’ve started putting Star Wars Rebels content on my blog, here is a warning:
I hate Agent Ka//us , his “redemption“ arc and the Ka//uzeb ship, and nothing Ka//us fans and Ka//uzeb shippers say is going to change my mind.
If you stan for Ka//us, ship Ka//uzeb and you’re following me, consider yourself warned, and honestly, I would rather you not follow me, especially if you intend on arguing when I reblog or make any anti-Ka//us or anti-Ka//uzeb post.
