Quote
Only when the Marxist Social Democrats had gained the upper hand and taken power in the belief that the age of liberalism and capitalism had passed forever did the last concessions disappear that it had still been thought necessary to make to the liberal ideology. The parties of the Third International consider any means as permissible if it seems to give promise of helping them in their struggle to achieve their ends. Whoever does not unconditionally acknowledge all their teachings as the only correct ones and stand by them through thick and thin has, in their opinion, incurred the penalty of death; and they do not hesitate to exterminate him and his whole family, infants included, whenever and wherever it is physically possible. –Mises, Ludwig von. Liberalism (1927)

Trending Foolishly
An especially silly time in a world filled with them hasn't provoked as much laughter as hoped. Monty Python predicted the future minus the giggling at absurdity. Maybe it just takes perspective to enjoy the genius of surrealism.
Take how foolish present crusades will seem in about five minutes. Sure, railing against America as an intolerant hellhole where you can't even change your gender on your diver's license is preposterous now. But mortifying obsolescence in viewpoints approaches soon. Participation in totalitarian demonization features as much foresight as buying a Milli Vanilli cassingle. Girl, you know it's true.
The days of humans claiming they're smarter than a disease are past. The side effect will linger along with over 99 percent of survivors. Virus panic remains the precise opposite of scientific, as the shrieking about what type of exhaling would murder us that day didn't feature much rational calmness. Dispassionate researchers are suddenly known to change their minds like drunks pondering the Taco Bell menu.
Doing nothing might've helped more. The infected and deceased toll couldn't have been worse. We've been shrieked at for a year about not daring to interact while being told it keeps the death clock's digits from flipping, and meanwhile the virus rampaged as humans complied. I blame that spring break beach blast for infecting everyone like a spider web. It couldn't have been Andrew Cuomo flaunting a commitment to scientific experimentation by showing just what happens when the vulnerable are paired with the infected. Berating anyone buying cereal without fogged glasses definitely kept a few hundred thousand more people from dying.
Mask hysteria is as scientific as the gender flop. Feeling something deeply is the apex of rationality. Blame personal perception replacing methodology in people who swear they're faithful to science. In an era where “My truth” is an exhaustingly popular expression, facts are subject to interpretation. Reality would laugh at the arrogance were it not indifferent. Human subjectivity isn't even acknowledged. There's certainly no folly in claiming to believe evidence while contradicting biology.
Why you hate minorities? Your cracker answer will never suffice. Denying it just means you're insistent upon bigotry. Racism is so inherent that you don't even notice it, which is quite a trick by the accusers. They're the same intellectual warriors who note your denial of oppression just confirms it. The only exercise some people get is running in logical circles.
The notion that anyone is prevented from doing anything in 2021 may not hold up to your ever intolerant scrutiny. But those who think it's always Selma six decades ago have individual cases to flaunt they think condemn the entirety. That's totally not the same mindset of racists, so stop noticing commonalities.
Ingrates sure loathe a country whose freedoms they exploit. Condemning America is quite popular amongst a particularly happy category of its citizens who appreciate natural rights and free interaction so much that they can't stop noting how awful this all is.
This monstrous bordered apocalyptic zone of free will and guns on dining room tables will be awesome once it has the same atrocious insurance forced by government as the rest of this stupid world. And what about poverty caused by liberalism, ask liberals?
Proclaiming nobody should be poor in such a rich society requites not realizing it's rich precisely because it avoids their advice. There will be plenty more struggling humans to help if statist enthusiasts get policies they crave, and there's no better way to show how much one cares.
America is so successful that Americans don't even notice the benefits. Children who never express thanks usually grow up and learn how lucky they were to have caring parents who provided for their needs. Or at least most pouty teenagers grow out of it by the time they're allowed to buy lottery tickets. By contrast, leftists prefer remaining juveniles. Perpetual brats would only grasp how good they have it were their luxuries of material goods and natural rights taken away. But they never flee to Cuba to check out their ideology in action while they can. Those who hate this racist assemblage of avaricious states never seem eager to flee for some reason.
Cancel culture is as uncultured as humans get. Gleefully virtually burning books doesn't feature real flames, and the lack of tangible interaction might explain why participants don't seem as joyous as hoped.
Would you relax? Those policing thought only destroy ideas they find mean. Being afraid to express opinions encourages tolerance. It makes as much sense as pretending collusion between a handful of creepy frail oligarchs shows the market at work.
Conglomerates are swell as long as they refuse to resist calls to destroy ideas condemned by the woke mob today. Heed the will of gleeful catty hall monitors sifting through interesting people's social media looking for posts that indicate disagreement with their maniacal unsubstantiated takes. Lives are as full as they seem.
For people who could only name Joe McCarthy if asked to list historical senators, hunters of dissent sure learned his lessons. Destroying those who disagree with their de facto commie ideology both copies his methods and confirms his paranoia about subversion. They're making their specter of a villain proud.
Digital artifacts of trying to fit in with trendy lunacy will soon be quietly deleted, so get screenshots now. Profile bios with Black Lives Matter hashtags and pronouns are as mortifying as watching the Full House reboot.  Please don't draw attention to those who went along with pernicious reality-defying trends using screenshots and cruel GIFs depicting laughing.  Enjoy sitting at the cool lunch table while popularity lasts.

if you see a twitter thread or a carrd or a post talking about latam problems that explicitly or implicitly states that [x latin american country] is a under leftist/communist dictatorship, don't share it!
yes, latam goverments are extremely corrupted and incompetent, they need to be criticized and be held accountable for their actions. but the narrative that latam is under a communist totalitarian regime has been constructed by right wingers and the imperialist core to justify their interventionism in our countries for decades. no country in latam is under a totalitarian dictatorship right now, and honestly, most countries aren't even under a socialist/leftist goverment either. the reason why latam is collapsing isn't because of socialism, it's literally because the last few years right wing movements that don't give a fuck about their people have been gaining more and more power. the false narrative that this is all socialism's fault is what the imperialist core wants everyone to believe so that they can point at us and say "look at how bad latam is doing under socialism! capitalism is clearly the lesser evil and it's our job to "help" these people!". like always you need to be extremely careful with what you guys read and listen to because the amount of people i see reblogging posts about "latam issues" that contain this type of propaganda is alarming.

Clune gives it the old college try in this essay, and makes inter alia many a good and necessary observation, including: 1. that our aesthetic populism is corporate totalitarianism (my words, not his, but a fair summary, I think, of his case); 2. that the voguish empathy justification for reading literature is ethically null (“Poe’s Montresor is as good—and bad—a literary example of empathy as Austen’s Fanny Price,” he writes); and 3. that the flat moralism promoted in today’s version of “moral education” works against its own stated purposes, so that, for instance, “antiracist” education turns complex works of art by writers of color into mindless one-dimensional tracts against obvious evils (his inspired example is Butler’s “Bloodchild,” a story that confronts morality with grotesque exigency and therefore effectively exposes as naive the utopianism in much leftist thinking).
Yet the advantage over Clune enjoyed by Becca Rothfeld’s provocative recent essay is that Rothfeld, unshackled to decrepit English-department habits, just goes ahead and quotes Lionel Trilling, who was himself inspired by Matthew Arnold. For the Arnold of Culture and Anarchy the content of a humanities education enriched the moral climate of liberalism precisely by challenging it so that its supple convictions were not held as brittle doctrines:
The whole scope of the essay is to recommend culture as the great help out of our present difficulties; culture being a pursuit of our total perfection by means of getting to know, on all the matters which most concern us, the best which has been thought and said in the world, and, through this knowledge, turning a stream of fresh and free thought upon our stock notions and habits, which we now follow staunchly but mechanically, vainly imagining that there is a virtue in following them staunchly which makes up for the mischief of following them mechanically.
“Dead white man!” you may object, but how different from Arnold’s position, really, is W. E. B. Du Bois’s thesis on education in The Souls of Black Folk:
The function of the Negro college, then, is clear: it must maintain the standards of popular education, it must seek the social regeneration of the Negro, and it must help in the solution of problems of race contact and cooperation. And finally, beyond all this, it must develop men. Above our modern socialism, and out of the worship of the mass, must persist and evolve that higher individualism which the centres of culture protect; there must come a loftier respect for the sovereign human soul that seeks to know itself and the world about it; that seeks a freedom for expansion and self-development; that will love and hate and labor in its own way, untrammeled alike by old and new.
The argument for literature’s place in the university has been made, therefore, and several times over, and not only by or on behalf of the most privileged. Literature furnishes an artistic education as Bildung, without which the citizen’s mind isn’t really free but only enthralled to custom, doxa, or dogma.
And yet. I do reject the demand that literature exist to serve this purpose. The modern university is barely two centuries old. The ideal of literature praised by Arnold as “free thought” and Du Bois as “freedom for expansion” has much, much deeper roots. Northrop Frye and Simone Weil alike identify it in the impartiality of the Iliad, while Erich Auerbach finds it in the pregnant bafflements of the Hebrew Bible. In either case, it rises at the dawn of recorded history and probably pre-exists writing; in both cases, it exceeds in inspiration and content the wholly secular mentality of the modern state and its educational instruments. So I don’t despair at Clune’s opening assertion that literary studies “risks extinction.” I practice an art in a tradition that is over 3000 years old and will survive, as it has before, the evanescent institutions in which it has periodically taken shelter. There was literature before the university, and there will be literature after.

Regular widely available documents show american businesses and government are actively trying to take over the internet. Why are you only pointing out the chinese?
I regularly point out the incestuous relationship between big tech, big media, and big government in the West, both in the articles I pen as well as in the headlines-in-GIFs I create daily. (Two weeks ago, I penned a piece castigating the Trudeau regime in Canada for trying to clamp down on free speech online, and I’ve just penned a profile piece on Jack Maxey, the patriot who broke the Hunter Biden laptop story with the New York Post and provided a copy to the Daily Mail--a story that was suppressed by Big Tech and discounted by the statist establishment media). More over, two of my cyberpunk thrillers deal with that very problem (i.e. Archetypal and The Gunpowder Coast), and I have another two books that deal with state-driven misinformation.
The difference is, as nicely explained by Rod Dreher in Live Not By Lies, that we have soft-totalitarianism in the West contra the hard-totalitarianism in the East--a pink police state versus a genocidal red state.
That’s not to say that hard totalitarianism won’t soon get here, whether by means of Chinese Communism post-49 or by our own doing (or failure to do something). In fact, the FBI’s recent treatment of Giuliani (and earlier, Stone) indicate that extra to the repressive social pressures Tocqueville warned of, now amplified by social media, we also have brazen and open top-down coercion and suppression of dissent, especially where dissent is a means to restore the integrity of our democratic institutions.
That said, we don’t have open concentration camps as the Chinese do. Though our universities are certainly indoctrination centers, they are nothing like what exists in Xinjiang or in Nepal. We do, however, have a fascist hybrid that is beginning to parallel in many ways the Communists’ social credit system.
Years ago, we saw Obama weaponize the IRS against the Tea Party, and vastly expand the NSA’s spying power, as well as other agencies’ influence over the Internet (the kind of stuff that makes Operation Mockingbird look like a joke). Now you’re seeing, as is the case with Gab, banking and transaction services denied to right-wing or populist organizations. You’re seeing the state further weaponize  Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Alphabet (i.e. Google), against leftist and rightist populists and other dissenters. It’s bad news by design (i.e. since it’s largely informed by the CCP’s social experiment. Note: many of the tech firms that helped build the Chinese system were Western to begin with).
In additional to the parallels between how leftists and statists treat their opposition (usually found amongst the working class) in the West, there’s also the matter of ‘hate speech’ regulations being expanded to silence any language the statists feel is injurious to their cause, and this, of course, parallels the Reds’ Great Firewall. You might have missed my meme stressing the hypocrisy of the Globe & Mail’s accusation of press-suppression in Russia granted the same or worse is happening in the US and in Canada, and what’s more: the Globe and Mail took the Liberal Party’s media buyout, such that they’re little more than pravda once-removed.
In summary, I criticize both, but granted that millions are presently being liquidated by the communists in China and that the the majority remain more or less indifferent to the creeping totalitarianism in the West  (after they’ve been conferred comforts and securities in exchange for their liberties by soft-voiced leftists), my attention goes foremost to the former.

The radical Leftist Commie Dems are the “masters of deception and deceit”! They are professional con artists, high level frauds, white collar criminals, extortion artists, and first class “projection” specialists. And you also have to throw in with the rest of their political gamesmanship skills the art of crafting deceptive phrases that will do exactly the opposite of what the respective title suggests. For example, the “affordable care act” (Obamacare) or “The People’s Act” (HR1). In other words, my friends, the Dems are the best when it comes to trickery and confusion of the “issue”. With the help of the dishonest mainstream media and the corrupt social media cabal, the good American people are subjected to a continual dose of lies and propaganda designed with one goal in mind, and that is to brainwash as many people as they can in order to stay in power. The Democrat Communist Party is a criminal organization that is rapidly marching forward into the abyss. It’s all about “one party” rule, my friends, and control of you and me and everyone and everything. As of November of 2020, when the Deep State rigged and got away with stealing the election from Donald Trump and the millions of patriotic Americans who voted for him, they “crossed the line” and never looked back. In other words, they are presently in charge of the greatest country in the history of the world and are making sure that no one from the “outside” ever enters the Swamp and takes charge of things again, the way that Donald Trump did. With the introduction of HR1, and other totalitarian legislation, along with executive orders from China Joe, the “game” has changed. It’s not about politics as usual. On the contrary, it’s about owning America, and with that comes social engineering and tyranny. Let’s be honest, our Founding Fathers warned us about evil and sinister, power hungry maniacs like the radical Commie Dems, which is why they uniquely crafted the Constitution of the United States. They were visionaries, one might say, especially when it came to giving “free” Americans the unalienable right to own a gun and protect ourselves from wicked people and tyrannical governments, such as the present day Democrat Communist Party.
It has taken decades of what I call Systemic Leftism, which is the reason we find ourselves facing a situation that could take our liberty and our freedoms away from us. At this very moment, my fellow Americans, we have an evil regime of people in Washington DC who hate America, and yet they are the ones that are in charge of every damn thing that affects all of us. I honestly believe that they hate America so much that they want to destroy it and build it back in some bizarre dystopian freakazoid world. Everyone has to understand that the Leftist Democrats hate the American people! And none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for the fact that they committed a criminal act by stealing the 2020 election. That, in itself, should tell you all you need to know when it comes to understanding the type of people that are running the show. Do you really honestly believe that Joe ‘the Creep’ Biden beat Donald Trump in a free and fair election? Do you really believe that these super wealthy fraudulent politicians, whose respective districts in the blue states that they represent are absolute “shitholes” similar to third world countries, would be elected to any office? The Left has been stealing elections for decades, my friends! They have it down to an art, which is why these traitors are impossible to remove from the Swamp. Everyone knows what is happening, and even the Democrats have their doubts and suspicions. It couldn’t be any more obvious to any normal and average minded American citizen that something is terribly wrong, and our beloved country is headed in the wrong direction. Keep in mind, my friends, that America is a “free” and “sovereign” nation with unalienable Constitutional rights.
The Memorial Day event in Washington DC will have a much different feeling to it this year. The Pentagon is refusing to allow the thousands of bikers known as “Rolling to Remember” to be issued parking permits for this event. Sadly, it will be the first time in 32 years that this group of patriotic Americans will be denied the right to honor our war dead and show gratitude and respect accordingly. I suppose this goes along with JoBama telling Governor Noem of South Dakota that the Fourth of July fireworks celebration at the Mt. Rushmore memorial will not take place this year, either. Imagine, stopping a celebration on America’s birthday! This freaking “Cancel Culture” has done enough harm to our beloved country, and thankfully the American people are fighting back. Anything that honors and celebrates America is being erased and soon to be forgotten. Maybe to the Leftist radicals, but not to the people who love America and fully understand what being an American is all about. Much is happening outside of the Swamp, and good Conservatives are mobilizing and pushing back on this blatant assault on our country. Sometimes it takes an unexpected event to get one’s attention, if you know what I mean. Believe me, my fellow Americans, we may be struggling at the moment, but we will win this war for the heart and soul of America, and we will get rid of these evil criminals and traitors who are trying desperately to hold on to power and control. Get involved in the movement to rescue America and preserve liberty and freedom for future generations of Americans. Remember, my friends, there are more of us than them, and the criminal organization that is currently and illegally in charge will soon pay for the injustice that they have inflicted on the good people of America. There will be a payback!

so... i woke up at 1:30 am bc my brain is full and the first thing that came to mind is... Latinamerica is collapsing and i wonder if the rest of the world knows.
if it doesn't, then maybe it should, so, i wanna explain:
México🇲🇽
we are actually about to run out of water: 85% of the mexican territory is in a draught, the worst in 30 years, they say. and there's lakes that are disappearing.
government is spreading "tips" and "infographics" about how to save some water when they're allowing companies like coca-cola and pepsi; cemex, bonafont and bimbo to have leverage in aquifers and they let them own basically 70% of the water in the country thanks to the National Waters Law (Ley de Aguas Nacionales)
oh and just last night (may 3rd) the 12th metro line collapsed in México City and 23 people died. everyone is blaming it on the 2 previous governments' corruption for using cheap materials and rushing to finish it and inaugurate it before it was actually ready
Honduras🇭🇳
same as México, they're running out of water, so far three states are totally out of it, which is around 1.4 million people.
the press has been calling it the worst draught in the history of the country SINCE LAST YEAR
besides the government has stopped buying vaccines and they're leaving around 70% of the population without a vaccination...
Tumblr media
Paraguay🇵🇾
there's no space left in the hospitals, the government stole the 1.6k million usd loan that the country got for health care related buys during the pandemic and left the hospitals alone to their luck. people have to sell their things; from their TV's and fridges to their cars, houses, bodies... there's actual people recurring to prostitution so they can buy medicine the government is supposed to be providing
Brasil🇧🇷
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Nicaragua🇳🇮
Tumblr media
Argentina🇦🇷
Tumblr media
Belize🇧🇿
Tumblr media
Guatemala🇬🇹
they've been having a hard economic crisis; again, surprise surprise, the government has stolen 14 million quetzales (1.8million usd) that was destined to the healthcare department: since the pandemic started people has been fired by hordes, there's no jobs, there's no money, there's no more safe hospitals or doctors to work in them, or equipment. and the president approved the 2021 budget in the middle of the night and took away money from the health and the education departments, leading to massive protests that, as you have guessed, were repressed with police violence.
Costa Rica🇨🇷
government actually created an espionage agency, the UPAD, they're fining people for being outside hiding behind the excuse of the pandemic; which is making hospitals collapse, they passed a recessive tax reform, the Electoral Supreme Court was scammed in the latest elections and they're actually seeking to create a higher rank power, a "superminister", higher than a president, who can hold the three powers of the nation (dictatorship, everyone?)
Uruguay🇺🇾
Tumblr media
Perú🇵🇪
they're enduring a huge political crisis, they have to chose a president and their only two options are: a leftist man that wants to take all the agricultural land and divide it in equal parts, doesn't support lgbtttiq rights, privatize almost all services and more reforms that would lead to massive firings AND a woman that it's being investigated for fraud and money laundering and that descends from one of the biggest peruvian dictators and wants to get him out of prison.
this uncertainty of course has made the usd price to sky rocket (because what else is new) and now the prices of everything are rising as well, and the wages? they're staying still
reports on the presidential debate
El Salvador🇸🇻
another political crisis: the president along with the congress (which is mostly sitting his party) dismissed and basically fired the judges of the supreme court and the attorney general. and recommended/nominated new ones from his party, opening the way to the totalitarianism and welp, the end of democracy in the country: dictatorship.
the people is outraged and the international community along with the America States Organization are rejecting this horrid violation to the Constitution of El Salvador but the panorama is still uncertain.
Colombia🇨🇴
the government of Ivan Duque just has been in the process of passing a tax reform to collect around 25 billion Colombian pesos (around 6.5k billion usd) through taxes without raising the minimum wages; this would throw the country in an economic crisis that would impact the lower and middle classes and it would take products off the basic market basket.
the people of Colombia have been marching and protesting about this and the government has replied with police violence, they have their own anti-raid police, the ESMAD, and they have orders to shoot to kill, the process now has paused because of the protest.
there isn't yet an exact number on the death count but what the people is sure of is that they're gonna try to hide it along with the number of rapings and tortures the police has been conducting.
Chile🇨🇱
in 2019 chilean government rose the price of the metro/subway and there were protests and marches and manifestations, which led, of course, to policial repression, this was a whole ordeal that was condemned by the UN, now, the people is tired that the same government hasn't dealt properly with the sanitary contingency so they starter planing a huge strike; dozens of worker unions planning to march on april 30th to show that they're millions and they want the president out.
then the president was acused of crimes against humanity before the International Court of Human Rights for the repression of the 2019 protests...
Tumblr media
Venezuela🇻🇪
well, if you haven't heard about the venezuelan crisis, you've been living under a rock: it's been going on for more than 20 years, venezuelan people live under a dictatorship (fucking incredible we still have those in the world), the police kills people that march and manifest, citizens don't have dignified access to: public transport, gas and gasoline, electricity, food, water, medicine and medical equipment let alone the covid vaccine.
and when the venezuelan people wanna leave the mediocre and deplorable conditions in which their government had made them live? conditions in which if you don't die of sickness, you get killed by a cop or killed in a robbery or killed on a raid? if you don't die of hunger you die of thirst? they raised the passport prices! and so the venezuelan people as a lot of people in Latinoamérica have to illegally migrate; and we all know how that's seen.
Puerto Rico🇵🇷
an immense femicide rise and Gender Violence alert.
Panamá🇵🇦

There is also a narrative advantage to global tensions; when presented with a foreign threat, are Americans more likely to reject notions of rebellion against government trespasses? I have no doubt that the establishment will try to claim the liberty movement is not a movement for freedom, but an “astro-turf” movement created by the Russians to destabilize America. This has been the leftist media propaganda strategy for years now; so why would they stop?
The bottom line is this: America is the primary target of the globalists because we are one of the only countries with the means and the numbers to stop them and the Reset. Until they are removed from the equation they will continue to throw crisis after crisis at us in order to wear us down and force us to accept totalitarianism. Do not get too comfortable in the fact that the pandemic agenda is failing here; stay alert and continue to organize your communities.

Anyways, Liberal Fascism exists, and it’s absolutely possible to go so far left you wind up right back on the right again without so much as blinking; there is a much thinner line between Left and Right extremism than you are led to believe by the ideologies you salivate over.
As progressives, liberals, leftists, etc, we need to acknowledge the fact that Fascist, Authoritarian, and Totalitarian regimes have, historically, always committed their atrocities in the name of leftist progressivism, using leftist ideas and language as the smokescreen behind which they stoke the conservative fires of fear, xenophobia, and more.
That’s not an optional awareness. It’s a mandatory one.

The Spanish democracy under attack
The Spanish democracy proved to be in danger once again on Wednesday evening. The conservative party, which is the third largest in the national parliament, had decided to launch its campaign to Madrid’s 4 May regional election in the working class neighbourhood of Vallecas, in the south of the Spanish capital.
Vallecas, or Vallekas, as the leftist anti-system groups endearingly refer to it, is often romanticized as a balwark of “anti-fascist” resistance by the Spanish left. In an ominous statement issued hours after Vox held its meeting in the area, the ruling PSOE (former centre-right) and chavista-inspired Podemos plus its breakaway Más Madrid called Vox’s presence in Vallecas a “provocation” and voiced their support to the “symbolic” actions of protest that “did not coincide” with the event.
The  statement called on the prospective boycotters not to respond to Vox’s provocations not because the party had all the right to celebrate a perfectly legitimate electoral meeting in the district, but to avoid that whom they systematically call the “far right” would use the incidents in their electoral advantage.
Not unexpectedly, dozens, if not hundreds of radical and violent young leftist militants took to the streets to materialize the boycott supported by the left in their statement. They were acting in the same logic as their political representatives -the right, which they deem fascist any time it threatens its hegemony, should stay away from certain areas the left has declared its monopoly on. This despite Vox getting 12 percent of the vote, twice the score of Más Madrid, in Vallecas in the past regional election.
Vox campaign’s launch kicked of before dusk with its militants and leaders surrounded by a mob who shouted death threatening slogans from the Spanish Civil War and hurled bricks, stones, bottles and a huge woodn stick. Some of those hit Vox militants in the head. A national MP of the party ended up in hospital and twenty riot cops were injured by boycotters.
Speaking from the platform, Vox candidate to Madrid regional’s presidency Rocío Monasterio called the counterdemonstrators cowards, thanked their own militants in attendane for their bravery and reminded everyone watching that her party has no intention to surrender to the left’s bullying antics.
A visible indignant Santiago Abascal took the floor next. Showing some of the objects they’d been hurled at, Vox national leader make the minister of the Interior, PSOE’s Fernando Marlaska, responsible for allowing the brown shirts-like horde being less than 20 meters away from where he and his fellow partymen were speaking. After a vibrant and heartfelt defence of their democratic right to express their opinions anywhere in their country, Abascal announced they were not going anywhere until the minister ordered the riot police to disperse the crowd.
Vox national MP Macarena Olona called Marlaska -a respected judge turned political apparatchik who was recently slammed in court ruling for unlawfully firing a Guardia Civil colonel for not following an illegal order- personally to demand he fulfilled his constitutional obligations. The minister did not respond Olona’s call, but he was now under the spotlight and did clear part of the square of violent protesters.
By taking to the streets in places like Vallecas, of which the Spanish left claims a shockingly totalitarian monopoly, Vox has shown the dangers facing Spain’s democracy. Moreover, his singling out of the personal responsibility of the minister in a debacle that could have costed human lives exposed the disastrous consequences of the capture of public institutions by politicians with self-serving sectarian agendas.
Unfortunately, the impact of what happened in Vallecas will be limited. Most of the Spanish media treated again the leftist, government-sanctioned harassment of Vox as incidents between tension-seeking elements from both sides. We don’t expect much either from the European Union, always ready to denounce the threats to democracy when they come from the east and from the right (see the constant condemnations of Hungary and Poland) and ever complacent with authorianism when from the coalition of socialists and far leftists governing Spain.
But more and more Spanish people are opening their eyes to the ugly reality exposed by situations like the one we saw on Wednesday evening in Vallecas. And we owe gratitude to Vox for that.

Great Cartoon Against Socialism/Communism – Make Mine Freedom 1948
The best line is at 8:28 in — “When anybody preaches disunity, tries to pit one against the other through class warfare, race hatred, or religious intolerance you know that person seeks to rob us of our freedoms and destroy our very lives. And we know what to do about it.” Designed to promote democracy versus communism, and free enterprise (capitalism) over communism’s totalitarian governments then in vogue in the Eastern Bloc, this film was targeted to young college students who did not have the opportunity to fight for freedom in World War II. “Make Mine Freedom” was produced by John Sutherland and Harding College in 1948
Make Mine Freedom does a good job of demonstrating the ism’s (except capitalism) that claim to offer a utopia but in fact only destroy freedom and prosperity. All of the points made in this timeless video are incredibly applicable now as Americans debate, and in some cases actively work to prevent the political leftist’s stated intent to “remake” America.

"In the brothel model, the woman is acknowledged to be for sex without reference to reproduction. She will still have babies perhaps, but no one owes her anything: not the father, not the state, not the pimp, not the john, no one. Some women on the Left accept the male leftist view that this is a giant step for womankind: that this separation of sex and reproduction is in fact a form of freedom -- freedom from domestic constraint and domestic submission, freedom from an intrinsically totalitarian association of sex with reproduction. They do not recognize that in the brothel model sex is dissociated from reproduction so that the sex can be sold, so that sex (not babies) is what is produced, so that an intrinsically totalitarian association is forged between sex and money expressed lucidly in the selling of the woman as a sexual commodity. In the brothel model, the woman is considered to be sexually free even by those who think prostitution is bad or wrong; sexual freedom is when women do the things men think are sexy; the more women do these things, the more sexually free they are."
Andrea Dworkin Right-Wing Women (1983) Chapter 5: The Coming Gynocide
