SOMEONE MAY BENEFIT FROM THIS! ©️ Jerome Yaovi Onipede A Client of mine called me to cancel our appointment, and knowing she had looked forward to it all week, I asked why she cancelled, and she said she was attending a class in hairdressing and dress making, and her Teacher was only going to be available that weekend. With a good job and position in the bank, I asked why she was learning dressmaking and hairdressing, and she said she was relocating out of the country and needed some SURVIVAL SKILLS to get her by while she was settling down. I understood her to a large extent, because for some years now, Lawrenta and I have been co-hosting RETREATS, and the Purpose of these Retreats is to help Families, Couples, Individuals, etc, discover more about themselves by engaging their Thinking, Personal and Interpersonal Skills proactively. Alongside these Retreats, we also run Youth Retreats that we Personally Sponsor here in Benin Republic where Life/Survival Skills are taught. We are aware that Youths and even Adults with Poor life skills may get into mischief, so why keep complaining if something can be done about it. Most of the Youths who come from Nigeria to study here find it difficult to keep up mostly because of the Exchange Rate. In 2007, you exchanged One Thousand Naira for Four Thousand CFA, but at the time of writing this, it is One Thousand Naira for One Thousand CFA. And after the exchange, the cost of living has gone up too. Lawrenta and I realised that one of the ways the Youths coming in here to study can survive is to learn Survival Skills that can make them add value to the Society while they are being paid for it which is better than engaging in mischief, so that they are able to take care of themselves while in School. So far at these Youth Retreats, we have extensively run Workshops on "Pastries" and "Understanding Your Personality Advantage'' which is taken by Lawrenta and I. The Workshops and Materials used are all sponsored by us. We are Introducing other Skills soon. This June 2022. 4 Weeks Workshop (Weekends). Only 20 Respondents. OUR SON OREOFE DIED MYSTERIOUSLY ON THE 4TH OF FEBRUARY 1995, AND OLUWAFARAHAN WAS GRACIOUSLY BORN 4TH OF NOVEMBER 1995, EXACTLY TEN MONTHS LATER. ©️ Jerome Yaovi Onipede Lawrenta Omono My Wife, and I were together when Oreofe our 3rd Son had his last breath and passed on to eternity. He was ill for 3 days, before he died unexpectedly. The year was still new, and we had so much pleasant expectations. We were still basking in the euphoria of the January 1st New Year prophecies from God, and death of a loved one was certainly not one of it. As a matter of fact I was Pastoring THE TEENAGE CHURCH OF THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (The first of its kind in Nigeria and Africa too) under Pastor Adetola of Blessed Memory, Victoria Island / Ikoyi Parish at that time. It was a big blow to me at that time, and I really didn't fully recover from it as you would have expected someone who claims to be close to God would. I did go on serving the Lord, but with a lot of reservations. I joined one of those who ask the "WHY GOD" kind of questions in situations like this, though secretly in my heart, because publicly I was preaching to all those who came to comfort us, rather than submit myself to all the spiritual, emotionally, psychological help I could get at that time, and they all left impressed saying I was really a Man of God. Anyway how that ended is a story for another day. November 4th 1995, exactly 10 months after OreofeOluwa died, God graciously gave us another son, and despite the fact that we had never heard anyone called by that name before, we called him OLUWAFARAHAN which means GOD HAS REVEALED HIMSELF! He has lived up to the name he is called. So many Testimonies surrounding him, but let's bask in this one just given for now as we remain forever grateful to God. Our Son OLUWAFARAHAN will live up to God's Will for his life in Jesus's Name. YOU CAN'T GET OR STAY MARRIED IN THIS CONDITION! ©️ Jerome Yaovi Onipede Marriage was designed by God to be a place of rest, refuge, resort, bliss, honor, fidelity, unquenchable joy, fruitfulness, reward, comfort, harbor, shelter of Unconditional Love, etc. AND THAT IS WHAT IT IS! Now what about you, who were you designed to be? According to Genesis 1:26-27, God didn't just make man, but went as far as making him in His Own Image, and after His Likeness. This was done so that MAN CAN ALWAYS FIND HIS IDENTITY IN GOD. And that's the highest privilege in creation. However, man would rather be independent of anyone just because HE GOT THE IDEA OF INDEPENDENCE COMPLETELY WRONG WITH THE HELP OF THE DEVIL right from the garden of Eden up till now as he continues to reject or wants to have nothing to do with His Creator, and as a result ROMANS 1:28-32 (though you can read from verse 18) tells us that: "Since they didn’t bother to acknowledge God, God quit bothering them and let them run loose. And then all hell broke loose: rampant evil, grabbing and grasping, vicious backstabbing. They made life hell on earth with their envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating. Look at them: mean-spirited, venomous, fork-tongued God-bashers. Bullies, swaggerers, insufferable windbags! They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives. They ditch their parents when they get in the way. Stupid, slimy, cruel, cold-blooded. And it’s not as if they don’t know better. They know perfectly well they’re spitting in God’s face. And they don’t care—worse, they hand out prizes to those who do the worst things best!" When we get into Marriage in this condition, we reverse the purpose of God for the institution and can never get the benefits of God from it. …and so when someone tells you that God's Institutions don't work or are outdated, just pray that God will have mercy on such a person. HOW MANY PERSONS HAVE YOU KISSED INTIMATELY? ©️ Jerome Yaovi Onipede If there is truth in any statement that you will be reading here, it's the fact that "GOD DID NOT MAKE US FOR EXPERIMENTS." God made us to be Genuinely Loved by Him. He does not sit in Heaven and put us in different situations and circumstances to see how we will respond or react. He is not trying to figure us out. Everything that needs to be known about us is already known by Him before we were conceived in our mother's womb. The only way that we can know much about ourselves is through an honest relationship with the God who already knows everything about us, because HE CREATED US, and His Thoughts toward us are THOUGHTS OF PEACE, and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11). However, we continue to lack that Peace, because we will rather figure things out by ourselves, and by doing so turn ourselves into Laboratory Rats used for all sorts of experiments. It's Time we looked inwardly. All these experiments with intimate kisses with people that don't belong to us, neither do we belong to, experiments with sex, drugs, relationships, skills used illegally, etc, has never brought us close to WHO WE REALLY ARE, but has only taken us far from it, and in our confusion we don't only make ourselves miserable, but also those we come in contact with. Sometimes we think we are in control by so doing, but all the persons you have had sex with or kissed intimately has never put you in control, but only makes you a wreck who is so vulnerable to living a script that was never meant to be. The only way I know that you can have control of your life back is by giving the control you assume you have to God, and HE WILL PUT YOU IN A PLACE OF AUTHORITY, AND GIVE YOU POWER TO LIVE YOUR LIFE THE WAY YOU WERE CREATED TO LIVE IT.
