The way Jamie’s family just dropped the bomb of his dad having a heart attack on him out of nowhere? That was almost an exact re-enacting of how my parents told me my dad would have to get radiotherapy for his cancer 😭😭 (he is fine now thank God)
like they really keep it from you till the last minute and then tell you with no tact. That was way too accurate

Is amazing how much diversity you can find in a latine family, Encanto was pretty accurate about that
(Her parents weren't fazed about this though, I just drew them like this for the joke lol)

i think it’s important everyone knows about the little roman girl who died at only five years and seven months old, and her grave reads "dum vixi, lusi" or "while i lived, i played"

the best part with latin american surnames is the secret third option: mispelled last name bc registry officers were illiterate back then, that or you were assigned ramirez by the 19th century immigration office

no bc it baffles me that ugly Betty doesn’t have the fandom it deserves especially for the first season, it’s so good like has soooo much material. Maybe getting put on streaming can revive it bc it’s golden, the Suarez family are my heart 🥺

Imposter Syndrome as a native person is very real, especially if you're reconnecting or white-presenting.
Whenever pretendians with large platforms built on their "heritage" are outed as liars, it can affect actual natives mental health - which is why pretendians are such a huge issue.
To all natives with Imposter Syndrome, it's hard but you know your heritage and who you are - don't let liars take that away from you, especially when they want to be you.
