in the last olympian when annabeth was going around activating statues across the city to join the battle of manhattan. it is EMBARRASSING that the statue of liberty didn't join the fight. inspired by the colossus of rhodes AND the roman goddess of liberty. more iconic than probably all the other landmarks featured in the books. tall enough to land a hit on typhon, probably. whole fight had a distinct 'don't mess with new york' energy. you're gonna tell me hephaestus or dadaleus didn't make her an automaton?
