Do you have an opinion on Koopa Troopas? They are going to have different variants in the upcoming Mario rpg remakes so I WONDERed if you had a specific favourite 🐢

The more I think on it, the more I adore the Rolla Koopas 😆 Pink cuties. Look at em; absolutely adorable. I used to quad skate too an the one thing I noticed is they don't have the rubber stoppers on their skates. So unless they are really good at the T-stop, they have fully committed. They will never stop rollin'. 🛼

The whole turtle tribe is varied and wacky, I think they're all so much fun. 🐢 Go lil koopas, go!

You guys really seemed to like my other post so uhhhh here’s some more doodles I did for that I guess!

Explanation under the cut...

So, Bowser and Junior got into a big argument. Why?

Well after the events of games like Bowser’s Fury, Bowser realized he really didn’t feel comfortable with his son being in such threatening situations. Bowser would rather he be the only one getting stomped on by Mario & Luigi, and not risk his kid getting hurt in the crossfire. (And Stars forbid he go on a rampage like Fury Bowser again. He doesn’t even want to THINK about hurting his own kid.) So Bowser wanted to try to persuade Junior to take a step back from helping him in his campaigns, purely for his safety.

Well, Junior didn’t like that one bit. Bowser is already constantly working on his plots, and Junior sees helping Bowser as his only time to hang out with his Dad. So Bowser trying to forbid him from joining him on any more campaigns came off as Bowser saying “I don’t want you around me anymore”.

The argument eventually escalates and Junior, as kids often do, goes right for the jugular and starts saying some really hurtful and disrespectful things towards his father. Bowser, seeing he’s not going to be able to keep Junior home through diplomacy pulls the Dad Card and grounds him.

In response to this, Junior decides “Forget all of this. Dad doesn’t want me around anymore? So I’ll just go and I’ll start my OWN kingdom and it’ll be really cool.” When nobody is looking, he packs up some stuff and runs away from home.

After blowing off some steam and willing to try to compromise with Junior, Bowser returns... Only to find Junior missing.

When it becomes clear he’s no longer in the Castle, Bowser sends out all his minions to scour the lands in search for his son. Meanwhile, Junior sees one of the search parties and - afraid that he’s in even MORE trouble now - jumps into the nearest Warp Pipe to get away and hide...

It just so happens that Warp Pipe was one of the Rare Few that connects to a very distant world...

it's a common bit of mario trivia to say that even though lakitu sounds japanese it's actually the localized name and that they're called jugem in japan. but lakitu doesn't sound japanese? so what the heck

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Cut Enemies

I have already made a few posts about a couple enemies I found (a beanish Hammer Bro and Pea-pod Goomba) and Jinx from SMRPG being hidden in the prototype build, but I just recently discovered several more (pretty bizarre) scrapped enemies.

First there's a two-headed Chain Chomp with the body of a regular dog. It, like a lot of these scrapped enemies, don't have any animations.

An enemy that resembles Diskun (Famicom mascot) but with angry eyebrows.

A Lakitu being whipped by its cloud.

A bizarre enemy made of shells.

A flounder enemy with a boot print on its side.

A regular Chain Chomp that slightly resembles how they look in Paper Mario.

A potted Piranha Plant (these weren't much of a thing in the Mario series until 2005 with Mario Kart Arcade GP and later Super Mario 3D World).

January 23rd of this year was iFool's 14th anniversary. Thank you to everyone who followed and supported this project. It was a lot of fun, a little stressful and I had a lot of emotional ups and downs, praise, and indirect bullying (cowards!), and everything in between. I love this project with my life and I'm excited to work on the little side stories now!
