A lot of questions flooded his head as he approached this mysterious being in front of him, taking small steps towards it.

Then another.

And then another.

The nearer he got to it, the stronger the winds flew around him.

The thing suddenly moved an inch, making him freeze on his spot almost instantly, trying to keep his shaky breathing as quiet as possible.

The winds around him calmed down, and everything became silent. So unbearably silent, that Kubo can hear the haunting beat of his own heart.

"I was expecting for you to come here, Kubo."

And that sentence utterly terrified him to his core, just like the last time someone he didn't know called him by his name.
